It's customary to blame the landlord in most rental apartment disputes, but every so often, you come across a story where the tenant is so outrageous and so out-of-line that you find yourself shockingly siding with the landlord. Pronouncing someone's name incorrectly can be an honest mistake unless it's someone you have been working with closely five days a week for the past year. In the beginning, it's totally excusable, but after a while, it becomes clear that this is no accident. She would refer to her as Kathleen, Catelyn, etc. even in writing! In fact, that's how you know Kate was doing this on purpose because she was not just mispronouncing Saoirse's name but she was also misspelling it constantly.

Sure, we all know the basic societal niceties—say please and thank you, don't interrupt someone when they're talking, chew with your mouth closed, let pregnant women and senior citizens have the seat on the bus, etc. But when is it appropriate to stand your ground and overstep those normal "niceties?" Well, according to Reddit, it's when you're quitting. 

This employee made the decision to himself that he was going to quit months ago. The job was all kids of messed up internally, and he was getting more duties and no pay raise. He waited until you had another job lined up, however, before meeting his his boss to quit. It just so happened that it conveniently fell on his yearly 1:1 meeting. He tried to make it sooner, but the manager was just "too" busy. So he went into the meeting ready to give his two weeks, but the manager would not stop talking… This was only supposed to be a 30-minute meeting, but the manager went on non-stop for 20 minutes. Finally, when OP was able to get a word in, it was simply to put his two weeks in. 

Now, the manager was mad that he didn't interrupt him, but interrupting someone when they're talking is impolite. So what was he supposed to do? If there's anything to learn from this story (and the comments), it's not to mess with a forklift driver. The OP was doing his usual day-to-day job of stacking pallets with a forklift. In enters an entitled sales rep, who parked his BMW on the loading dock. It was the OP's job to make sure that the dock was clear, so he chased down the representative to politely ask him to move his car to the car park. But the entitled guy was not having it. He made a snarky comment, essentially saying he was better than all of the workers; therefore, he could park wherever he wanted.

People who work at the hotel front desk see a lot of interesting stuff. On a subreddit, hotel receptionists and managers alike have shared stories about entitled customers making all sorts of weird requests. But one story might take the cake. This one guest not only booked more people than allowed for 'single rooms' but he actually booked at the hotel next door.

When he couldn't check in at the right time (because check-in wasn't for another few hours), he got upset and went to the OP's hotel next door. It's probably not a good idea to take credit for a former coworker's work on your resume and then list that person as a reference. It was only a matter of time before the lies on this dude's resume would be uncovered and proven false. 

Now, I am sympathetic to someone feeling backed into a corner during an interview process and having to cough up a name as a reference out of nowhere. However, surely this guy could have considered literally anyone else. Perhaps the people who did work closely with him were inappropriate because their working relationships didn't end on good terms. Perhaps it didn't even cross this guy's mind that he lied on his resume, which means he's simply delusional and has possibly normalized his own delusions. Either way, it was the wrong choice and it did not end well for him.
