29 Calming Cat Memes for Cuties Who Feel Bonita Today
There's something contagious about cat confidence, and that's being said in the best way pspspsible. It's the feline feeling that nothing can hurt you today, because you're the best. Cats know they're the best, and we think we should embrace this ameowzing way to go about the day. If cats can be the silly little creatures they are but still feel, look, walk, and be the most majestic creature in any room they enter - so can we. Or at least we can try.
We just said to ourselves, "We're purrfect for the day. The day is purrfect for us. We feel bonita and radiate diva. Our cat taught us that, and we're A++ students." That alone can boost the confidence of any cat pawrent. Do you have a cat? Do you have a mirror? Don't hissitate and go tell yourself some good words. We're sure that's what our cat does in front of the mirror when we're not at home. Also takes a 10-hour nap, for sure. Because cats can. And so can we.
Cats are purrfection - but also you. Own it like your cat would.
Employee realizes that they have taken less PTO since the company instituted "unlimited" policy due to the implied threat from HR: 'It's just this weird psychological thing where you feel like youre being watched or judged'
If you have a set number of PTO days, sitting in a visible balance that is going to expire at the end of the year, you almost feel a quiet pressure, an urgency to use those hours. Literally as if some clock is ticking down for the entire year, right up until that point on the 31st of December, when you know you should have taken it. If you've ever let leave expire or gotten to the point where HR is literally forcing you to take it, you have this in your head for the rest of your working days.
House cat trapped for 30 hours under earthquake debris gets a meowraculous save from K9 doggo who gets her safely returned to owner
After the wildfires in California last year, we're ever more thoughtful of the pets that are affected by natural disasters. When an earthquake, hurricane, or wildfire hits your area, you have a very small window (if any, at all) to collect everything important to you and run to safety. One of the hardest things to do in a time of stress is to find your cats, as cats immediately run to hide in the nearest place when they're scared. If you've ever tried to get your cat out from under the bed when it's time to go to the vet, you know exactly how difficult this can be.
As a result of this, many pets unfortunately get left behind during these pawsitively horrible events. Many of them run away, get lost, and are never found again. But what about the pets that don't even get the chance to run? These ones rely on search and rescue teams to find them, and thanks to a k9 doggo named 'Bob', our kitty today was found and safely returned to their owners.
After 30 hours of being trapped underneath two floors of rubble after an earthquake, they were sniffed out by the pawfessional German shepherd who allowed rescuers to dig out the terrified tabby. Bob also found another cat in the rubble, as well as a pet rabbit!
Three cheers for Bob, and may all animals affected by natural disasters find their way safely back into their pawrents' arms.
15+ Workers who were overjoyed to quit their jobs: 'Put in my 2 week's notice... left for a 50% raise'
Yes, that's right. Even for all the skeptics out there, I'm serious — if you don't wake up excited to go to work, you should look for a new job.
I'm well aware that this job market is frankly insane, and you probably shouldn't quit without something new lined up. But, as these people highlighted, sometimes you just stagnate at a job for a while without realizing how unhappy you are. Then, it only takes a single comment from an annoying client or a snippy boss to make you realize, "Hey, I want a better position than this."
'I'm not adopting another cat': Person who was adamant on not getting another cat gets adopted by a stray feline who gently asked for help after being stuck in a blizzard for 5 days
We say it all the time, and we will continue to do so. It's not us who choose whether to adopt a cat or not, it's the cats. Cats adopt their humans, not the other way around. And you can be as adamant as you want that you don't want another cat, don't like cats at all, never wanted a cat in your life… It doesn't matter. Because it is not your choice. You could be going through life, doing your normal things, when, out of nowhere, a cat will pop out and change your whole world.
The person in today's story, despite already being a cat owner and knowing what cats are like, thought that they had a choice in the matter. They didn't want another cat, but a cat chose them. And so, they found themselves in the exact position that they didn't want to be in - forced to take in another fluffball. And just like they expected… they hate every second. We're kidding, of course. They love the little feline and are thankful that he showed up in their lives. And all is right with the world.
Entitled guy demands 100% of the resale profit from the spare parts that came with his biker girlfriend's recently purchased motorcycle: ‘I bought [the] motorcycle with my own money’
She purchased a used bike from a seller, and, to sweeten the deal, the seller threw in an extra set of spare parts. However, the moment they got home, the boyfriend believed he was entitled to the spare piping simply because he helped broker the deal. But did he put forward any money to buy them? No. Did he demand 100% of the resale profit from selling his girlfriend's spare motorcycle parts? Yes.
And that's where our story begins, and a relationship ends.
Mom rehomes daughter's cat despite protests because of financial issues, but the unhappy cat finds his way back to his forever home, and the mother realizes she made a mistake: 'I genuinely couldn't believe what I was seeing'
So many times, we have come across stories of people abandoning cats when those cats suddenly became "difficult". If those cats got sick, or if the cat got prognant, or other reasons… those people decide that this is not what they signed up for and just abandon the kitties. If they are lucky, those cats get found by other kind humans and rescued from the streets. But if they're not… We'd rather not think about it.
We, at ICHC, always complain when we see these stories. We say that abandoning the cat should have been a last resort, that there are always options that are better. If you really feel like you can't take care of the cat anymore, take the cat to a shelter or find them a different home. To this mom's credit, she did do that. She saw her financial situation, knew that she and her family were about to move, and decided that the cat would be better off elsewhere, with other people. So, she found him a new home. But that doesn't mean that he had to agree with her. And he didn't. And then he took his fate into his own paws.

Ex-employee wins lawsuit after former boss neglects to pay her mandatory severance: 'They take people to court because they think the threat will scare most people off'
This author recounted the story of a friend's wife, who was let go from her company and denied severance. Thankfully, she knew her labor laws and knew that her employer could not get away with this, especially because her departure was the result of a round of layoffs.
Despite the rather bullish facade given by her now former company, she knew that at the end of the day, this was all a front. They didn't actually have a leg to stand on, so she took them to court and won.
22 Snuggly Pictures of Cozy Purrito Cats Avoiding the Snow at All Costs
The second it starts snowing, cats enter full purrito mode. One look at the cold outside and they're already burrowing into the nearest blanket like they're preparing for hibernation. The goal is simple. Stay wrapped up, stay warm, and do not acknowledge the existence of snow.
Blankets get pulled into service immediately. You'll find them rolled up tight, tucked into throws, or wrapped in sweaters like tiny burritos that refuse to come undone. Only a nose or an ear might be visible. Everything else is safely hidden away from the cold.
They don't want to see the snow, and they definitely don't want the snow seeing them. Windows get a quick inspection from inside the blanket before they disappear again. Laundry piles become insulation. Hoodies left on chairs turn into emergency shelters.
Once they're fully wrapped, that's it. The purrito is sealed. Any attempt to unwrap them will be met with a slow blink and a deeper curl. Moving would mean facing the cold, and they've already decided against that.
For the rest of the day, it's just a series of tightly wrapped cats rotating between naps. Snow can do whatever it wants outside. Inside, it's warm, soft, and purrito season.
'This adorable little baby fell out of the bottom of a truck': An surprise workplace rescue gives a dirty, hungry kitten a cozy night indoors and a fresh start
A normal shift at work took a turn when a tiny kitten literally fell out from the bottom of a truck in the shop. She was caught before she could slip away, and with how cold it is outside, there was no way she could be left there. The plan was to bring her straight to the humane society, but since they were closed for the night, she got an unexpected sleepover instead.
She was filthy from the shop and mostly fluff with hardly anything underneath, clearly hungry and worn out from being out in the cold. It took her a little while to settle in, but once she realized she was safe, she curled up and fell asleep right on a lap. After who knows how long outside, she finally had somewhere warm to rest.
For now, she's fed, off the cold floor, and getting a proper nap instead of hiding under machinery. Sometimes the Cat Distribution System shows up in the middle of your workday and hands you a tiny responsibility you didn't see coming.
Fender Bender might have had a rough entrance into the world, but tonight she's warm, safe, and tucked in until she can get the help she needs tomorrow.

A Ray of Sunshine in the Form of 21 Fuzzy Feline Funnies (February 24, 2026)
If you're on the East Coast, you're probably hanging out in a bunch of snow. As I'm writing this, I look out my window and see the white dustings of snowflakes sitting atop the tree branches, my friendly feline eyeing the tree whenever snow falls off the branches. I'm just jealous of the fact that while I'm working, he gets to gaze out the window with his cattish curiosity. The only worries on his mind? "When is lunch? Dinner? Dessert? What a life he lives…

30-year-old Mom cancels 3-year-old son's birthday party, MIL decides to throw him a party anyway: 'She has planned a full-blown birthday party at this point'
Becoming a grandparent is a dream for many people, and they indulge that grandchild as much as they can. They'll feed them junk food, get them all riled up before bed time, let them do whatever they want, and then send them home to let Mom and Dad deal with the fallout. Grandparents don't usually mean to cause trouble, but the ways they treat the grandkiddies can really stress out the parents.
This MIL has a vision for her 3-year-old grandson's birthday, but it's clashing with her son and daughter-in-law's actual wishes.

UPDATE: "Genuine Karen" neighbor insists Mom can't use public parking space: 'She's insistent I need to park... on a busy road'
If you're a mom, you're impossibly busy all the time. And if you're a homeowner with nothing else to do in the world, you might spend your time bugging your neighbors about petty things, like who parks where. And thus, these two people meet, and no one leaves happy!
This person has had an ongoing situation with a neighbor for months now. This neighbor has ardently decided that this woman shouldn't park across the street from her house. Why? There doesn't seem to be a real reason. The neighbor just doesn't like it, and has made it her mission to bug this poor Mom who's just trying to find somewhere to park the car.
Woman names her cat "The Soaker" in her language, unknowingly creating a self-fulfilling pawphecy when he constantly gifts her toys he dips in the toilet: 'I've basically created a monster.'
As we should. Cats are to be worshiped, as the kings and queens they are, who rule our lives with an iron paw. Even medieval emperors adored their cats, so who are we to dispute that? But that doesn't change the fact that cats, these beings we admire so, are fluffing weirdos. They will literally scream on blank walls, try to parkour on your ceiling at odd hours of the night, and insist on napping on your laptop right when you have an important meeting (and let's see you dare to move them).
But let's see if your cat, who's definitely weird in their own way, beats the complete coo-cooness of this one. He dips his cat toys in the toilet water. But wait, there's more! This is, most definitely, done in good faith. No, it's not that the cat thinks the toys are dirty - he gives them as moist gifts to his stunned human, delivering them right on her bed. Thoughtful. And you think she just accepts it? This human tried everything to stop this strange gift-giving from happening to no avail.
You have to see it to believe it. But what we always know, with seeing or not, is that cats are weird. So, so, so weird. But honestly? We wouldn't have them any other way.
Experienced job candidate tells off recruiter after getting offered $12/hour with no benefits: 'I told her she needed a reality check because her offer was a joke'
We understand that the job market is tough out there, but the assumption that countless individuals will accept any amount of pay under any conditions is ludicrous and outdated. Unfortunately, far too many recruiters and employers alike seem stuck in the past when it comes to meeting candidates where they are.
This job candidate had years of experience under his belt, plus a degree and plenty of applicable specialized skills. He should have been taken far more seriously from the start of his interview process for a new position. However, clearly, the recruiter with whom the candidate was communicating was either ignorant herself or she vastly underestimated the candidate's ability to advocate for himself.
