The couple posts online to see if anyone lost a cat. The next day, they bring the cat to the vet to see if she's microchipped, and after finding the owners information they call them. 

The owners seem less than concerned, they call back after 4 or 5 days and say they'll get the cat, but never show up. Over a month goes by, and they suddenly want her back. Well, the couple who have been taking care of her for over a month decide that they don't want to give her up, and also don't trust the previous owners to take good care of her. Winter is an especially hard time for stray cats. The unpredictable weather, the cold temperatures, and the lack of suitable shelters makes surviving purrfectly difficult, depending on where they live. In the middle of a snowstorm, a child stumbled upon a fluffy kitten crying for help outside their home. He brought the frozen fur baby inside, and the mom immediately jumped into action. It's not every day that seven nearly-blind kittens fall in your lap, but if they do, every cat lover is obligated to answer the call. Helpless, mewing, and pawsitively adorable, newborn kittens are pathetic little puffballs of delicate beauty. Unable to fend for themselves, they rely on bigger mammals (ie, human cat lovers who stumble upon their nest) to take care of them. A former zookeeper was lucky enough to score 777 kitties one day when they were walking around an abandoned building, and they certainly poured their heart and soul into their new babies. 

With their TLC and a bit of luck, these seven kittens all survived and now live happy house cat lives. Three of the kittos found a purrmanent home with their rescuer, skedattling and dashing around their home for the furrseeable future. Sometimes the Cat Distribution System knows that we have a cat-shaped hole in our lives before we even realize it, and in some cases, they'll grant you three kittens just to be sure your life is fulfilled.

His name is Mr. George, he's been TNR'd, and as the winter months approach, the family questions how to better take care of him. They can't take him in because of their other cats, as well as having two older dogs. But they do everything to help Mr. George by giving him a shelter to sleep in, by buying a heating pad for him during the cold months, and feeding him everyday. Convincing a cat to do something is really tough. And we are talking about literally anything, like it could be something as positive as getting them to play with a new toy you have bought them. Sometimes it feels as though there is no amount of clothing and no amount of heating that can effectively get rid of the pesky persistence of the cold. But such is the case, and we have quite the long few months left of this frozen madness so we decided that it is time to start looking for sources of heat from some more unconventional sources.
