Cat distribution system drops off abandoned kitty in feline loving family’s driveway, and after unsuccessfully locating its original pawrents joins their fur family of 3 cute cats, cat dad says: ‘He loves to cuddle and sleeps next to me at night.’

Sun, 05/24/2026 - 12:00
Sometimes you are just lucky enough to have the purrfect feline addition to your fur family turn up on your doorstep.

At least that is the case for the fur family in this story. We have to say that this is one of the greats when it comes to purrfect Cat Distribution Deliveries. Most CDS stories have their fair share of complications and heartwrenching moments, but this one is completely devoid of such sadness and instead is a smooth, simple and sweet transition from the cat being found waiting to be invited into the hooman's home, all the way to the cat falling asleep in their new pawrents' laps on the very first night they came into their furever home.

So if you just need a calm moment in your harrowingly hectic day, then look no further for your five minutes of peace than this story of the abandoned catto who found the purrfect home with the purrfect family. We hope it leaves you as content and full of feline joy as it did this fur family.

‘She was getting advice from a psychic’: Khloé Kardashian gets her two cats declawed, faces backlash, then offers fans a watered-down apology

Sun, 05/24/2026 - 11:15
Wouldn't it have been great if Google had been around when she was making this decision?

Our commentary on this story is going to be divided into two parts, because we have a lot to say about it. The first part will be the pawsitive take on it - she deserves at least that much. But, if you want to hear what we really think, scroll down for our true thoughts scattered throughout the article.

For now, though, it's time to give some flowers where they're due.

Khloé Kardashian has over 283 million Instagram followers and a similar amount on X, meaning that when she says something, around 500 million people hear it. She openly admitted that, by declawing her cats, she did something wrong and is actively advising others not to follow in her footsteps. This is the purrfect use of her platform, and we want to give her a round of appaws for not only taking responsibility for her mistake, but also making a PSA for every other cat owner purrhaps considering the same thing.

Here at I Can Has Cheezburger, we are very proactive about our anti-declawing stance. It's illegal in many parts of the world, and we will throw a big pawty when it's illegal everywhere.

Now that that's over, let the shade begin.

Kitten rescuer saves trio of bonded babies after buying from kids who were selling them for $20 in 95 degree weather, rescuer says: 'I went from 2 to 5 [cats] overnight!'

Sun, 05/24/2026 - 10:30
Would you take in 3 baby kittens even if you didn't have any space left in your house?

Cat lovers are truly unique in that, even if they can't fit any more cats in their homes, they will never turn down a cat in need. Even after you've said "no more cats" a hundred times, you'll always find space for a few more. It's impawssible for us not to, because if we don't, who will?

Millions of kittens are born every year, and only a fraction of them get adopted and live in our homes. The rest, if they are lucky, become neighborhood strays that are cared for by several families. The rest become feral cats and continue to increase the cat population because, if you didn't know, cats can have around 3 - 5 litters of kittens per year. Assuming each litter is around three kittens (and that's being very conservative), that's a minimum of 9 extra cats every year for every unfixed stray mama cat out there. Do you see how this became such a big problem in such a short amount of time?

But thanks to the wholesome heroes like this kitten rescuer below, there are 3 less kittens out there in the wild right now, and even if they can't keep them furrever, they'll certainly stay off the streets as long as they have anything to say about it. After seeing some tiny things moving in a plastic crate in 95-degree heat in front of some local kids, they went over to investigate. The kids were selling the kittens for $20 each. We can only hope that their parents aren't using their cat's kittens as a side business for a little extra cash.

They bought all of the kittens for a whopping $31, and brought them to their cool, air-conditioned house where they were given water and wet food. Now that spring is here, kitten season is upon us, and shelters are expected to be pawsitively packed to the brim with fresh cats and kittens. They know they will probably end up having to foster them, which will prove challenging due to already having two 8-year-old cats. But with kittens so cute, how could they pawssibly say no?

30 Funny Memes of Picky Purrballs Pouting Over Their Gourmet Dinner Service

Sun, 05/24/2026 - 09:45
One disappointed look from a cat can somehow make a human feel guilty for serving the wrong flavor.

Cats act like every meal should be a full gourmet dining experience. The second food gets placed in the bowl, they suddenly turn into tiny restaurant critics judging everything about it. Some cats sniff the food, stare at it with disappointment, and walk away like the chef failed them personally. Then ten minutes later they are trying to steal food directly off somebody's plate like little furry thieves.

Some cats also change their favorite foods constantly for absolutely no reason. One flavor is apparently the greatest thing they have ever tasted for a few days, and then suddenly it becomes completely unacceptable. Meanwhile the random food they aren't supposed to eat always becomes the most exciting option in the house.

The dramatic reactions are always hilarious too. Tiny angry meows, pacing around the bowl, and judgmental stares somehow turn dinner time into a whole performance. Some cats really act like they ordered a five-star seafood dinner and received the wrong entrée instead.

Meanwhile humans end up opening multiple cans and offering different flavors just to satisfy one picky little fluffball. Cats fully expect gourmet meals, immediate service, and the freedom to complain whenever the menu does not meet their standards. With the amount of cattitude some of them carry around, they believe they earned it too.

'The cat distribution system brought me a gift': Crying rescue kitten found in a driveway after a birthday dinner becomes the sweetest surprise and newest member of the family

Sun, 05/24/2026 - 08:00
Some birthday surprises come in gift bags, and some arrive screaming in the driveway.

Coming home from a birthday dinner and suddenly finding a crying kitten in the driveway really sounds like the Cat Distribution System working overtime. One minute it was a normal night out, and the next there was a little baby cat screaming for help and completely changing the entire night. The fact that she was sitting there all alone crying her lungs out makes it feel even more emotional too. Good thing she picked the right driveway.

The sweetest part is how quickly everything shifted into full rescue mode. Searching for mama cats and siblings, getting kitten formula, planning a vet visit first thing in the morning, and already picking out the name May all happened almost instantly. At that point the kitten had basically already decided she lived there now.

Then came the updates, which somehow made the story even cuter. May-day is honestly such a perfect nickname for a kitten who apparently believes every meal is a life-or-death emergency. Tiny kittens somehow manage to sound unbelievably loud despite weighing almost nothing. The finger chasing and nonstop yelling already make her sound like she completely settled into being the center of attention.

A few hours earlier she was alone outside crying for help, and now she has people obsessed with her, medicine for her eye, warm blankets, regular meals, and a whole future ahead of her. That is a pretty incredible birthday surprise.

'Cat got your tongue?': 28 Unspeakably Cute Kitties to Scroll Through This Sunday

Sun, 05/24/2026 - 06:30
We're speechless!

The expression "cat got your tongue?" has an unclear origin. One possibility traces it back to old sailor's tales involving the "cat-o'-nine-tails," which was a whip used as punishment in the British navy. Another theory is more like folklore: in medieval Europe, cats were sometimes associated with witches, secrets, and supernatural powers. Some people believed that a cat could symbolically "steal" a person's tongue, leaving them speechless or unable to speak the truth. Whether or not people genuinely believed such stories, cats often occupied a symbolic place somewhere between ordinary pets and mystical creatures. Even today, cats still carry that air of the strange and magical, and are still associated with these kinds of things. So if you like cats and you feel like words can't describe how amazing they are, then enjoy these cute kitties and memes below.

Heartless owner dumps their cat on the streets, but a local feral colony guides her to a safe family home: 'She is no longer stray. She is our girl.'

Sun, 05/24/2026 - 05:45
We could never understand people who dump their cats, discarding them like yesterday's newspaper. But we'll always be grateful for people who take abandoned cats in, giving them the forever home they deserve.

Let's just put it here outright - cats are never, ever a thing to discard. When someone adopts a cat, they officially take full responsibility for a whole soul. When a person adopts a cat, they have an unwritten contract that states they are now their main caretaker, responsible for feeding them, making sure they're cozy, and giving them the best life pawssible. But some people just don't get that… and we have no idea why.

In our eyes, cats are our everything. It's like, of course we'd want to take care of you, you floofy and adorable little being. From this perspective, we could never understand people who decide one day "I'm going to drive away, put my cat in a strange area, and ignore them for the rest of my life". That's horrid behavior, to put it mildly. When someone abandons their cat, they not only risk them never being found by someone else who's willing to adopt them - they break the cat's trust. And it breaks out hearts.

But lucky for us, the Cat Distribution System works its re-distribution program with meticulous paws. This is why we get such heartwarming adoption stories such as this one, about a cat who was abandoned, but led by her peers to the right home. Her forever home.

22 Wholesome Cats for a Softer Day on the Internet (May 22th, 2026)

Sat, 05/23/2026 - 11:15
Tiny little cats continue carrying the emotional stability of the entire internet on their backs

There is something genuinely healing about seeing a cat do absolutely nothing important with complete confidence. One tiny orange creature falls asleep in a flower pot, another politely taps its owner for snacks, and suddenly the entire mood of the internet improves by at least thirty percent. Cats somehow mastered the art of existing dramatically while contributing almost nothing to society except emotional support.

Wholesome cat memes work because cats naturally move through life like fuzzy little therapists who occasionally commit crimes. They sit near people during bad days, blink slowly like wise old philosophers, and then immediately knock a glass off the counter for entertainment purposes. Honestly, the emotional range cats display within a single afternoon deserves scientific study at this point.

The best part about cat memes is how universal they feel online. Everybody understands the energy of a sleepy cat curled into a weird shape or a tiny kitten looking deeply confused by absolutely everything around it. Cats somehow became the internet's unofficial mascots simply because humanity collectively agreed that tiny furry weirdos make daily life slightly more tolerable.

At a time when most corners of the internet feel loud, chaotic, and emotionally exhausting, wholesome cats remain one of the few reliable sources of peace left online. No arguments, no discourse, no stress: just tiny paws, dramatic meows, and sleepy little faces reminding people that sometimes happiness really is as simple as watching a cat sit inside a cardboard box for no reason whatsoever.

They say that wealth is what you make of it. Some people see it as massive amounts of money, others like to believe that having friends and family makes you wealthy, while for us cat pawrents our riches lie in the deep and soulful eyes of our cat children. Coming in all shades of gold, these pawticularly purrfect cats have the ability to truly make you lose yourself in their eyes. It is something to do with the glory of the glimmer that their unique eye color gives them, but whatever it is, it draws you in and makes you feel warm and fuzzy like any cat pawrent wishes to feel.

Sam the stray cat finally finds a furever home with feline sibling after years of feral life thanks to cat loving hooman offering him a place to shelter from a storm, Sam’s cat dad says: ‘The vet told me that he was most likely a cat that had been dumped’

Sat, 05/23/2026 - 09:45
This story of feline adoption proves that the simplest of gestures can have the grandest of effects.

For while this cat lover and his visiting stray cat friend had a long established relationship of hanging out in the evenings. It was not until the coming of a pawticularly bad storm that they took the plunge and became full time roommates. Up until that point, the cat would call it a night at some point and head back out to the streets for a night of mayhem and mischief.

But thanks to the kindness that his hooman buddy showed him that fateful night, our feline protagonist knew that he had nothing to seek out on those cold streets anymore. He was home, where he would be loved, cherished, and protected forever more. Finally, his life of being an unloved child of the mean streets was over, and his life as a cuddly, purring pillow of love began

'He was done looking for a dog because he’d rather have her': Little kitty found on backroad in rural area, woman's father falls head over heels for her and they seek advice on how to keep her with their 2 cats at home

Sat, 05/23/2026 - 08:00
A cat that's lost and found and without a microchip will become yours – trust the cat distribution system.

This little kitty was found on a rural back road. She cried and circled a car until it stopped for her. The woman driving didn't want to leave the poor thing there alone, so she took her home that night. She posted all over looking for her family (if she had one). At the vet she realized that the cat didn't have a microchip, so she knew she could keep her. But there are caveats and she goes to the internet's advice to understand what the best course of action is. She already has two cats at home, and needs a safe way to introduce this new one to them. She asks about getting a gate or some sort. Her father, Papa, falls head over heels for this little cat, despite not being a cat person and trying to get a dog. A dog no more, they decide to keep this cat, who they name Petal. How do they figure out the physical barrier? Read more to find out.

'Rescued my new best friend': Black kitten found crying under the hood of a car gets rescued by neighbors, brought into a loving forever home, and welcomed by a sweet tuxie big sister named Rosie

Sat, 05/23/2026 - 07:15
This little black kitten went from engine trouble to spoiled house cat in one day.

Remy really started his new life in the most dramatic way possible after being found crying for help underneath the hood of a car. Tiny kittens somehow always managed to end up in the wildest places too. One minute the neighborhood heard little cries coming from inside an engine, and the next multiple people were gathered around trying to rescue one tiny orange baby who had apparently decided a car hood was the perfect hiding spot.

At only six weeks old and barely two pounds, Remy already sounded like he completely took over the household emotionally. Tiny kittens at that age somehow looked extra small too, especially when they were fresh off the streets and suddenly discovering warm blankets, regular meals, and people ready to spoil them endlessly. It's impossible not to immediately get attached to a kitten that tiny.

The sweetest part was how quickly Remy settled into being loved. Going from abandoned and crying alone under a car to becoming somebody's new baby is such an unbelievable little life upgrade. Meanwhile Rosie stepping into the role of big sister made the whole thing even better. Older cats always seemed to know when a tiny kitten needed somebody to watch over them. Instead of chaos and drama, Remy apparently got welcomed into the house by a patient tuxie sibling and a human already completely obsessed with him. That tiny little hood kitten seriously landed on his paws.

31 Sweet Pictures of Sleepy Snugglebug Cats Cuddling Their Favorite Stuffies

Sat, 05/23/2026 - 06:30
Some cats turn into complete cuddlebugs the second a stuffed animal enters the picture.

Cats sleeping with stuffed animals is one of the cutest things in the entire feline universe. The second a cat curls up beside a plushie or wraps tiny little paws around one during a nap, all the usual cattitude completely disappears. Suddenly the same furry menace who spent the morning knocking things off shelves and sprinting through the house at top speed just looks like the softest little cuddlebug alive.

Some cats even get attached to specific stuffed animals and refuse to sleep without them nearby. Tiny kittens especially make the whole thing extra ameowzing because half the time the plushie is almost bigger than they are. Meanwhile bigger cats somehow look equally adorable curled around tiny stuffed animals like oversized sleepy babies.

The nap positions always make everything even sweeter too. Cats sleeping nose-to-nose with plushies, using them as pillows, or hugging them with both paws create peak cozy cat energy. Little twitchy whiskers, sleepy toe beans, and soft purrs somehow turn an ordinary nap into a full heart-melting moment.

The best part is that cats act completely unaware of how adorable they look. They are just peacefully snoozing away while everybody nearby immediately stops what they are doing to stare at them for several minutes. Productivity instantly disappears the second a cat starts having a pawsitively precious stuffed animal nap.

Stray cat in Turkey shows up every day to hug the wholesome man who fed her (video)

Sat, 05/23/2026 - 05:45
Show a cat some kindness, and you will have gained a friend for life.

A cat who truly opens up to you will show you a kind of love you've never experienced before. Dogs are wired to seek out affection and attention, but cats give those things out to the people who matter to them the most. It's intentional, not instinctual. This one small difference changes everything, and it makes those meowments of feline-filled love so much more exceptional.

In Turkey, a shopkeeper and "his" stray cat recently touched the hearts of millions after he showed everyone how the cat comes up to hug him every day. He fed the cat once, and she showed him her gratitude with both paws around his neck. She came back every single day, hugged him, and waited for her meal. What was once a cute act is now a daily habit, and you can clearly see how much they both enjoy it.

Sat, 05/23/2026 - 04:00
Another week done and dusted, which means it's officially time to kick off the weekend on the right paw with a healthy amount of cat content, obviously.

Yep, we survived another workweek somehow, and we've finally made it to the best day of the week - Caturday. And honestly, it mostly feels like everybody's been stressed lately, not just us. Which is exactly why we, the ICHC editors and writers, keep showing up every day to put together wholesome, ridiculous, serotonin-filled cat content for you all. Because sometimes you just need something good on your screen. Something simple. Something silly. Something pawsitive. And no matter what's going on in the world, cats always manage to make things feel a little better.

So every single week, we put together this Caturday meowgazine - basically a giant collection of the best cat stuff the internet had to offer all week long. The funniest cat memes, the most viral cat tweets, the sweetest and most daring cat stories, the posts people couldn't stop talking about while the rest of us were busy trying to survive adulthood and answer emails. If you missed some top-tier feline nonsense during the week, don't worry, we got you covered. This is your official weekend starting point, and honestly, there's no better way to begin Caturday than with a smile and a bunch of goofy cats.

Cat lovers find a 5-week-old kitten in the park, they scour the area and realize the cuddly kitten is a lone survivor: 'We’re keeping our eyes peeled regardless'

Sat, 05/23/2026 - 03:15
The big, open world is a dangerous place for a helpless kitten.

Coyotes, raccoons, eagles, critters, cars, and a seriously dismal lack of milk bottles can make life extra difficult for baby kitties on the streets. Oftentimes, baby cats rarely survive in the wild on their own. Especially without a mama cat to protect and care for them, a kitten's odds of survival aren't very good on its own.

But some kittens are destined to be survivors.

Some kittens are born to be house cats, and despite being born on the streets and dealt a tough hand, these cats defy the odds and survive anyway. Stubbornly cute and determined to see the dawn of every new day, kittens born in the wild can become tenacious, playful, wilderness rats. Adorable scraggly and mewing like a fiend, these kittens scream into the void and call out to cat lovers everywhere; with mews stronger than the power of the bat signal, cat lovers from all directions can come rushing to save them.

This kitten, later named Juniper, was determined to survive. Alone and afraid in the rolling green hills of an enormous city park, this kitten pushed the limits of what is humanly possible, surviving each day solo until the likes of a pair of heroic hoomans heard his cry. Juniper was bundled like a Christmas package under the likes of a bushy pine tree, and it's as if he knows his life is a gift. Cat lovers recognize that every feline life should be valued as a gift, and by rewarding this fighting feline with a soft life, they've recognized that this little survivor deserves all the best things in this world including (but not limited to) a sunny nap spot in the window, infinite forehead kisses, and a slathering of gravy on their kitty kibbles every morning.

Now that's a good indoor cat life in the making.

'Can we go now? I'm over this outside thing': Friendly woodpile kitten decides it doesn't want to be an outside cat anymore, demanding to be brought inside before a big summer storm

Fri, 05/22/2026 - 12:00
Cats want to be inside.

They want to be warm, they want to be cherished, they want to be cuddled, they want trickling water fountains, and they want their kibbles with a side of kitty gravy. Cats are quite simple, really; they ultimately just want to be the centerpiece of every human household, worshiped and loved like they're the feline deity of the entire neighborhood, destined for a life of leisure and kissed every morning.

That's the duality of felinehood, however, because cats are also nimble outdoor survivors.

Bestowed with abilities that make them deft predators, cunning climbers, and acrobatic attackers, kitties may be well-built for a rought and tumble life outside, but that is not where their little hearts lie. Kittens dream of a sunlit nap spot, a nibble of house plant leaves, and the peaceful sound of silence when the humans leave the house for work every morning. Cats may have the skills to survive outside, but that's not where they want to be.

This kitten, a feisty orange warrior, had started his existence in the woodpile outside with his tabby cat siblings and happily feral mama. Although he'd known no other life than the crumbling facade of the woodpile's shelter and the foraging for food and the fight to survive, deep down, this kitten knew there had to be more out there

Climbing to the surface of the woodpile, this mighty orange kitten found exactly what he was looking for: two bipedal human roommates with a kind heart and a house that could use a resident feline. With all of his strength and all of his might, this kitten meowed for help, screaming for the attention of a pair of cat lovers, hoping they could show him the world of luxury. Although it went against his survival instincts to uncover his hiding spot, this orange kitten took a chance… And it paid off.

Keep scrolling for the adorable rescue story of a kitten who was tired of the outside and found a new way to live life from the comfort of the couch with a bowl of fresh kibbles n' milk every morning to satiate him.
