'I live with a furry dictator': A Hissterical List of Chaotic Cat Crimes and Unhinged Kitty Behavior

Wed, 12/10/2025 - 14:00

Our cats do some bizarre things. If we had a dollar for every weird, unhinged, chaotic, and crazy unexplainable things our cats did then every cat pawrent would be rich. From zoomies, to running up the walls (literally), to being calm one minute and suddenly poofing their bodies, giving crazy eye, and darting into the other room, our cats continue to give us endless entertainment. The face alone is hissterical. Does your cat ever make growling sounds like it's possessed and about to have an exorcism? Or does your cat try to eat any human food you put out? And we mean any – from bread, to dried lentils, some cats are crazy enough to eat things that they can barely digest.

Or what about when they want to knock everything off the table, and before you know it all of your chap stick has mysteriously disappeared under the couch. Cats can also be manipulative!  The purring, the slow blinks, the little head bumps that feel like spiritual blessings. Cats deploy these tactics strategically—usually right after knocking over a plant or sending a cup flying—to avoid prosecution. These manipulative purr-machines know exactly what they're doing, and they always get away with it.

22 Pawdorable Paw Holding Cat Couples to Send to Your Favorite Hooman

Wed, 12/10/2025 - 13:00

Welcome, lovers of the internet. Being in love is basically the best feeling in the world. Just when you think everything is collapsing around you and you can't even stand on your own two feet, someone who loves you just pops up and lets you know that everything will be okay. Just like the love you have for your hooman or your cat, your cat also shares this sort of euphoria with his or her favorite kitty friend. When you look away, when you close your eyes, when you leave for work, you don't expect your kitty to go on cat dates, do you? Well, think again because they do.

When you're not home they're entertaining their cat girlfriend or boyfriend. Why do you think they have such mood swings? You come home to them peacefully sleeping one day – it's not an accident, they have a pleasant date with their cat girlfriend! And on another day you get home and they've torn up all the toilet paper and knocked over two glasses. Yeah, it's because he had a fight with his cat girlfriend about his catnip use. She is worried, and he doesn't want to admit it. Enjoy these pawdorable cat memes!

‘Yet little did we know, you were exactly what we needed that Christmas!’: The story of the black void kitten who crawled into the lives of a family one snowy night and became their source of healing and love, leaving behind a legacy of selfless love

Wed, 12/10/2025 - 12:00

The holiday season is a time for uplifting tales as much as it is for the saddest and toughest of tales. And while we usually bring you some of the more cheery chronicles of cats, we wanted to highlight one heartbreaking and heartwarming story that showed off just how sensitive and kind the Cat Distribution System and cats as a species can be. For this tale tells the story of the kitten who stumbled into an open door amidst copious amounts of snow into a home that desperately needed him. And in doing so, he was able to support several people through some of the toughest times in their lives. Making an everlasting paw print on their souls.

So while we take time to be thankful for all the people in our lives, we wanted to also remind you all that we must take time to show our gratitude to our cats as well.

28 Adorable Cat Memes for Pawrents Who Need a Soft Snuggle for the Soul

Wed, 12/10/2025 - 11:00

Cats are the best snugglers, and winter proves it time and time again. Once the weather becomes a little chilly, the air is crisp and the cat is ready to say "Nope" to every temperature drop. They will meow profusely until you sit in a cozy corner, just so they can jump onto your lap, turn a few times to make sure you're all soft and comfortable, and then roll into a cinnamon pastry shape and purr their warmth until forever. And that, fellow feline fanatic fans, is pure bliss. Every cat person would agree. We're sure every cat person has "Snuggle with a cat" on their winter to-do list. We know we added it already in the autumn.

But cats are independent, they have their own schedules, wants, whims, and desires. It's the cat's decision on when, where, and for how long to cuddle. When it happens? It's ameowzing, for sure. But it might not happen exactly when we want or need it. But if you need a soul snuggle in the shape of an adorable cat, look no further than these fluffy feline funnies. They're the pawrfect mood lift on this crisp and chilly day - like a cat choosing your lap as their snuggle spot. Because cats are simply the best like that.

'I find a note on the fence where I feed [the cats]': Wounded colony cat goes missing, TNRing person fears the worst but finds the feline found his forever home

Wed, 12/10/2025 - 10:00

Some people wish they could adopt all the cats. Well, at least the ones who don't have a home yet, the ones who are now facing the winter months in the streets. No roof over their heads, no safety out there, no warmth to keep them cosy. This thought hunts a lot of cat lovers, but some of these feline fans try to do something about it - they set out to care for the strays, the cats who don't have homes. They take a colony of cats under their care, feeding the felines so they won't starve, TNR them for health and safety, and generally being the benevolent pawrent - even if they cannot take the cats inside.

And when you take care of a whole colony like that, you care about each and every cat. And that's exactly the love and care level this one TNRing person had regarding her cat colony. When one of the cats was seen wounded and alone, she tried to take care of him - but he wouldn't let her. And taking care of a cat who is afraid of receiving help is difficult (especially when you have many other cats to take care of). And one day - he disappeared. She feared the worst had happened - that he succumbed to his wounds, or was too cold to keep a survivable body temperature. But a single note on the fence where she feeds the cats made her realise - this cat has found his forever home.

No fireplace can warm the heart of a feline fan this winter quite like knowing a sweet stray won his forever home.

'He was about as spicy as cinnamon sugar': Animal shelter volunteer takes a risk by fostering "feisty" new feline at her rescue, only to realize that he's the sweetest cat she's ever met

Wed, 12/10/2025 - 09:00

You can't judge a cat by how they act in an animal shelter. Cats are their best selves when they have safety, security, a routine, and space. They have next to none of these things when staying at a rescue. They're cramped into tiny metal boxes, surrounded by other cats, and are constantly stimulated by people and other animals. It sounds purrfectly stressful to us, let alone a cat. So when this volunteer decided to foster the new feisty feline at her rescue, she wasn't exactly sure what she was going to get.

He wouldn't leave his "safety" box since he arrived. Everyone assumed he was too spicy to deal with. But when she opened his cage and offered her hand, all she was met with was love. She took him home (he had a lot to say about it), and now he's exploring his new home while waiting for her to find him a furrever family. In the video below, you'll see how sweet and gentle this "spicy" cat is, and it breaks our hearts that no one even went to check just because he was shy.

Give the spicier ones a chance. Purrhaps they just need some time and space to open up. They could be the best cat you've ever met.

Sister gifts a feral kitten for a grieving pet owner who didn't want a new cat, but the kitten falls in love with the older housecat and leaves the woman no choice but to adopt: 'I can't wait for the day she looks at me the way she looks at him'

Wed, 12/10/2025 - 08:00

We say this as people who love cats and love adopting cats and think that cats are the best: do not gift cats to people. Generally speaking, we think that is something that you should not spring on people as a surprise. Adopting a cat, at the end of the day, should be the decision of the person who is going to have the cat live with them. Of course, sometimes, it works, and you get wholesome stories of people receiving kittens as gifts and completely falling in love. We get that too. If someone gave us a kitten as a gift right now, we would probably be happy, but that's because we are at the right time for it in our lives.

We completely understand why the woman in this story was reluctant in accepting the kitten that was gifted to her by her sister. She wasn't ready, not after the loss she experienced. And that's okay. And yet… although she might not have been ready, her cat clearly was, and so the cat called dibs, and the kitten stayed, and now, slowly but surely, the kitten is winning over everyone.

27 Wholesome Cat Memes to Fill You With That “Just Put Your Face in a Cat’s Fluffy Belly” Feeling Anywhere Anytime

Wed, 12/10/2025 - 07:00

Sometimes, especially during colder days like this, when we're sitting at the office, or when we're going grocery shopping, or doing any of our other responsibilities, our minds… wander. And we think about the one thing that we miss the most at home. Our cats. Their softness, their fluffiness, their warmth. We miss that feeling that we get whenever we press our faces into their soft, soft bellies. That's the feeling that we miss. And although nothing can quite replicate it, we think that these wholesome cat memes are about as close as we can get.

Silly cat memes are one of our favorite things in the whole wide world. Truly. Scrolling through some cat memes throughout our day, whenever we can, always brings a smile to our face. It makes going through doing all of those responsibilities a little bit easier, a little more bearable, and it makes the time that we have to spend until we get back to our cats at home go by a little bit faster. Take a break, we promise it's worth it.

'He walked right up to us and adopted us': Person goes on a walk with their senior dog when, out of nowhere, a gray cat pops out of the nearby sewer and follows them home

Wed, 12/10/2025 - 06:00

We keep telling people, especially cat people, that is it important to stay vigilant. The CDS can get you anywhere and at any time. The CDS, for all the non-cat people out there, is the Cat Distribution System, and the CDS has no mercy. It doesn't matter where you are, what stage in your life you're at, whether you want a cat or not, if the CDS chooses you, there will be no mercy. You will be adopted by a cat.

You can be caught by the CDS during a midnight picnic, a romantic date during which you did not expect to adopt a pet-baby. You can be adopted by a cat on your morning walk, when all you were looking for was some fresh air, not a screaming kitten. You can even be at home, playing video games on your computer, when a kitten will suddenly fly in through your window and straight into your heart. Really, that's how it works. We've never heard of a cat popping out of a sewer, following someone how, and getting adopted that way, but… we suppose we shouldn't be surprised at this point.

Not drinking it like that!

21 Cat Memes That Are Filled With Festive Feline Tom(Cat)Foolery

Tue, 12/09/2025 - 20:00

If you haven't found your Christmas spirit just yet, don't worry—we have some Christmas cat content to help you believe in Santa Claws again! There's nothing better than the holiday spirit during the holiday season. It makes everything meowgical, and without meowgic, the world feels so greyscale. We need to bring the color back into our lives, and we can start with red and green and take it from there. What do you say?

Even though our felines have no clue that it's Christmas time, they sure are familiar with Christmas trees and how to jump on top of them. If you've been online recently, you have probably seen multiple videos of cat pawrents trying to "train" their cat to avoid the Christmas tree. It does not work. Why? Well, you know the saying: Curiosity and cats, ectetera. We don't like that saying.

No matter what, cat content is guaranteed to make you feel a bit better, especially around the holiday season. Who wouldn't want to see an orange tabby in a Santa hat? Exactly. You get it.

If you're looking for some holiday spirit, you're in the right place. Scroll below to get a taste of some much-needed Christmas magic, the feline way.

Think About It

'I had already fallen in love with her': A simple chicken check turned into a two-day search, an emotional rescue, and a brand-new beginning for Athena

Tue, 12/09/2025 - 17:00

A summer visit to Ohio turned unexpectedly memorable when a routine check on backyard chickens revealed something surprising… a tiny kitten hiding beneath the coop. She was too quick to catch that day, darting away the moment anyone got close, but the encounter stuck with everyone. Two days later came the call that changed everything: the kitten had wandered inside the chicken coop. With churu in hand and plenty of excitement, the rescue team rushed over and finally coaxed the little girl to safety.

Naming her Athena felt immediate and right, even while discussing what to do next. Then life delivered perfect timing in the form of a post-grad job offer the very next day. While moving and settling into the new routine, Athena stayed with the partner's family until she could join her new home for good.

Since August, Athena and her hoomans have been living their best lives together, all thanks to one unexpected moment by a chicken coop. Some bonds form the instant you find each other.

23 Furtastic Pictures of Cats Adding Extra Cuteness to Every Holiday Wrap Job

Tue, 12/09/2025 - 16:00

Cats helping wrap gifts during the holiday season is its own special kind of challenge. The second the wrapping paper hits the floor, they appear out of nowhere like tiny supervisors. They plop themselves right in the middle of the sheet, refuse to budge, and treat the tape dispenser like their new favorite toy. Before long, bits of paper and tape are stuck to their paws as they trot proudly around the room.

Folding corners becomes a near-impossible mission when a cat decides the box you're wrapping is officially their new home. They climb inside, roll around, and pop their head out just when you think you've finally made progress. And ribbons? Absolutely irresistible. One swat and suddenly it's a full-blown play session, complete with leaps and pounces that send bows disappearing under furniture.

Still, their chaos somehow makes the whole thing sweeter. Every crooked edge or uneven fold feels like a little signature from the furry assistant who insisted on joining in. Wrapping gifts may take twice as long, but with a cat involved, it's twice as fun.

25 Furry Troublemakers Who Refused to Behave All Through 2025

Tue, 12/09/2025 - 15:00

Cats are known for their naughtiness. Their zoomies that wake you up at 4 am, knocking the salt off the table when you leave the room, or meowing loudly at times where they perceivably have no reason to. Cats are inherently going to get on your nerves, and they like it that way. They get away with it too due to their cute demeanor, their innocent whiskers, and their huge eyes looking like they're in need of a cuddle. If you thought 2025 was chaotic, just wait until you meet the feline felons who turned this year into a full-time comedy show. These furry troublemakers did not just misbehave—they curated a whole story and narrative behind the evil cat doings. Consider this your official wrap-up of the most adorable anarchy ever recorded.

You might wonder to yourself, "it's just a cat, what's the worst that can happen?" But that kind of naivety will get you nowhere when you own one of these incredible rascals. When you're a cat pawrent for long enough, you start understanding how mischievous kitty cats can be. Despite all the chaos, messes, midnight zoomies, and property destruction, we love all these naughty cats for who they are.

Elderly 16-year-old cat has intense surgery, he refuses to eat after surgery and cat mom worries for his well-being: 'I'm not ready to lose him'

Tue, 12/09/2025 - 14:00

Loss is a part of life, but it doesn't make it any easier to go through grief or sadness when you lose someone close to you. There's a hole there that can't be filled with anything else, and coming to terms with the loss is the best way to move on from it. The story below isn't about loss, but it centers around the potential for loss. The protagonist is a cat mom who's had her cat for 16 years, which is the age of the cat. Now that the cat is 16-years-old, he's having health issues. He has surgery to remove his bladder stones. After the vet, he's not at his full health. It's to be expected, but it doesn't make it easier.

The old cat won't eat, won't drink. He still is trained to go to the bathroom, but since there's nothing there, he just sits next to his litter box confused. It's heartbreaking for the cat owner to see, and she's tried everything in her power to make her cat son eat, but he won't. She seeks wholesome internet advice on what to do for her cat, as she's not ready to lose her favorite person in the world.

‘The meows were nonstop, loud and baby-like, and we called and called and finally… an orange cat appeared before me’: Lost soul cat comes home by itself after escaping its harness and fleeing to the woods, remembering exactly where his new home was

Tue, 12/09/2025 - 13:00

Cats are truly a mysterious bunch, and we would not be surprised if many of this world's mysteries could be solved if a cat thought translator would be invented. If we could finally know what is going on in their tiny, albeit brilliant, minds, who knows what mysteries we could solve? But at the very least, the mystery of why the cat child featured in today's story decided to wriggle out of its harness and run away would be solved. For what is a loving feline pawrent meant to think when their cat child does their very best to squirm out of the only thing keeping them together while outdoors?

Lucky for the pawrent in this story, the cat came back, but if it had not, that could have been a pain and weight that they would have lived with for the rest of their life. So the moral of the story is we need the technologists that be to invent a cat thought translator.

'Neighbors moved out and left their cat': Kind person cares for an abandoned feline neighbor, gaining her trust after it was broken, and plans to adopt her for good

Tue, 12/09/2025 - 12:00

Let's get the bottom line out of the way first - we're absolutely happy to know this cat is in her forever home. It might take her time to mend the broken trust she's experienced from her previous owners, but it'll come. This kind neighbor who took her in seems to have all the right intentions and means to make this beautiful feline girl right at home - from here on out, and forever. Soon, she won't be the "kind neighbor" who saved this cute cat, but her actual human mama.

Now that the bottom line is at the top, we can continue to what bothers us so much, bubbling under the surface, that we have a mighty need to ask - who in their right mind abandons their cat?! Seriously, who? A cat is not a toy, it's a feline family member. And when you adopt someone into your family - you treat them as such. Especially when we're talking about a cat - a creature who depends on you for all their needs, their safety, their well-being. People who move out and leave their cats behind should be abandoned by society altogether.

But, you know what? We're happy the Cat Distribution System re-distributed this cat to someone who cares for her, who wants her around, who shows her love and kindness. All cats deserve to be safe in a home, never to be abandoned as used furniture. That's just pure evil we can't fathom thinking about.

27 Feline Funnies for Folks Functioning on a Single Brain Cell of Bliss

Tue, 12/09/2025 - 11:00

Meow. Yes, just meow. It's not that we don't want to say anything else - we always have a lot to say, about many interesting subjects, about various topics - but we just want to meow meow. Just like cats. Head empty, no thoughts, just meow meow. Want to join us in this meowing endeavour? But be careful, there's only one place for a single brain cell where we're going. Choose it carefully. We recommend choosing the meowing brain cell, so we can all meow aimlessly together.

Meow. Did you meow as well? Good. It's just meow meow from here on out. No thoughts, head empty. The headspace is limited. There's a place to pack the following, and the following only: One (1) brain cell, two throughs (not consecutive), the sock lost in the dryer (color not important), meow (as many as you can), cat memes (snacks for brain). You got that? No? That's okay, we'll meow it to you later. Just don't forget the cat memes.

Now that we've got that out of the way, are you ready for some true feline funnies? They're best enjoyed when the head is empty, no thoughts included. Just meow meow. Just memes memes. And nothing more. Laughs will come either way, we pawmise. Did you remember to pack? Wait, what were we meowing about?
