'We traveled by car, plane, boat and train to get home': Former Florida street cat Tangerino takes an unbelievable international journey to England after following the right person home and getting adopted forever
Tangerino really went from Florida street cat to full international traveler in record time. One minute he was a community TNR cat hanging around outside, and the next he was making a two-day journey across cars, planes, boats, and trains all the way to England. That is an unbelievable upgrade for one little orange guy who originally just decided to follow somebody home.
After some Facebook searching and getting approval from his feeder, the rescue mission officially started. Then came all the chaos of carrier training, harness practice, changed flights, and of course one final street fight right before departure because orange cats always seem determined to keep life stressful until the very end.
Now Tangerino is curled up beside a heating pad adjusting from Florida heat to English weather like a tiny tourist completely unprepared for winter. It is a pretty huge lifestyle change after spending so much time outside fighting, sleeping on sidewalks, and surviving however he could.
The best part is knowing he never has to go back to that life again. No more fleas, mosquitoes, dirt, or worrying about his next meal. Now he gets warmth, safety, naps, and somebody who clearly loves him enough to bring him across the ocean just to make sure he gets the life he deserves.
31 Silly Cat Memes Full of Chaotic Feline Energy for a Truly Furtastic Furiday
Furiday feels like the perfect time to slow the brain down a little and enjoy some completely unserious cat memes. After spending the week dealing with work, responsibilities, notifications, and trying to function like a normal adult, there is something nice about mentally checking out for a few minutes and looking at tiny furry creatures being ridiculous. Cats somehow make everything feel less serious for a little while.
Cats also really perfected the art of accidental comedy. They move through life with unbelievable confidence despite constantly making questionable decisions. One second they are staring dramatically into the distance like wise little philosophers, and the next they are sprinting into walls, getting scared by random objects, or yelling because a food bowl is missing three pieces of kibble. Tiny little weirdos somehow became one of the funniest parts of the internet without even trying.
There really is no better way to ease into the weekend than spending a little time laughing at goofy cat nonsense. Tiny paws, chaotic energy, and dramatic little faces somehow make the entire week feel easier to survive.
Rescue kitten becomes the queen of her human's farm and turns the local livestock into her personal loyal subjects: 'She is having the time of her life every day.'
Whether it's our houses that become contained cat kingdoms, or it's our whole large properties that become a fully-fledged feline dominion - cats seem to rule our lives in any form we choose to live them. And look at us, cat people, happily living under our feline overlords like it's just another Tuesday. So it's no wonder that when a meowgnificent kitten joins the farm family of the person who saved her - she becomes the undisputed queen of the region, ruling the humans and livestock alike. All while having the cutest kitten face ever.
Besides, it's not surprising that the Cat Distribution System matches a kitten with such a princess energy to the best place for her to rule and roam. A farm is practically purrfect for a kitten to socialize with other animals, while being the freest that they could ever be. What a wonderful thing it is to be this free… and smol, adorable, beautiful, and loved.
29 Heartwarming Friday Felines for a Tender Meowment of Fluffy Feline Comfort
Cats have a way of calming us feline fans down. They also have a unique skill of stressing us out in a split second, but that's a topic for a different article. All it takes is one of our chonkers to climb on top of us, start up their purring engine, and our nervous system starts to feel a wave of purrfectly tranquil energy. And after a week of working in the abominable pit we call an office, we could use all the tranquility we can get.
Now, the unfurtunate part is that we are nowhere near our kitties when we need them most, which is right now. With deadlines looming over our heads and everyone trying to wrap up all their projects before 5 PM, we're over here wound up tighter than a stress ball with no purring kitties in sight.
Until now.
‘You’re my person now’: Sweet cat that gets tossed out of a car leaves a horrible family behind and runs straight into the arms of a pawrent who truly loves him
The only fate we believe in is feline fate, and that's because we've seen too many kitty rescue stories to believe otherwise. The cats either escape or are dumped in a random location (rarely, they are "stolen" by feline enthusiasts who are willing to give them a better home), and then wait for the right purrson to come along. It's a sad life, but it's the unfortunate reality we live in.
But like we said, we believe in the Cat Distribution System and its all-powerful fateful feline forces, and Noodle's story just confirms it. Noodle, a sweet, sensitive cat was literally thrown out the window of a car while driving through a neighborhood. We don't know anything about his previous family, but we think it's safe to assume that anyone who would throw their cat out of a vehicle is horrible. Stick with us, we're getting to our point, that is this: sometimes, something horrible has to happen in order to get you to where you're truly supposed to be. And Noodle's place was with the purrson he ran up to after being abandoned, who immediately fell in love with his charm. Not to mention his awwdorably fluffy face!
If they hadn't abandoned him, Noodle might still be living with a family who doesn't love him, instead of curled up with his new pawrent who cares for him like their own son. The process may have been painful, but in the end, he found his home furrever.
'She proved to me that animals have ultimate mercy, love, and loyalty': Heartwarming story of woman's cat comforting her husband while she's in the hospital, showing that we're never alone with our pets
Cats go through a myriad of emotions, just like we do. They may look like havoc causing, chaotic creatures, full of mischief and playfulness. They may look like they're dozing into another dimension, or like their cute simplicity starts and ends at the superficial, but it's not even remotely true. Cats feel emotions so strongly, and their animal instincts help them connect to us in ways that no one can predict. They sense us, feel us, and help us. Read the heartwarming story below.
Hardware store cat recognizes a friendly customer, surprising them post-rescue with a litter of 5 kittens: 'Yes, we currently have nine cats in our house!'
A cat used to be a skittish, scaredy-cat outside the local hardware store, but then one day, a cat lover and loyal customer noticed a big difference. As if she had grown tired of a life on the street, this kitty flipped a friendly feline switch and came running to a kindhearted hooman, meowing for aid and hoping they'd help her. With what, you might ask? Well, this kitty had a surprise duplication spell brewing in her belly, and she knew just the exact cat-loving hooman who could help her and keep her safe.
Turns out, this kitty wasn't just looking for a new home for herself, but her 5 kittens as well.
Felines are reserved and rarely show their affections. While they're full of love and cuddles, cats reserve their sweetness for only the most special of humans, which is what makes them so unique. Unlike dogs, who wag their tails with every stranger, cats have a select few human friends who deserve every ounce of their love. This kitten, a once lonely tabby cat, was afraid of the humans before she felt life inside her tummy. Knowing she was going to become a cat mama, she decided to take a leap of faith and trust the bipedal giants who frequented her local hangout.
Instead of running away like usual, she stood her ground and mewed meekly, hoping that her intuition was correct about the cat-loving humans who pspspsed in her direction. Alas, they were as kind as they were eager to help her, purroving that she chose correctly in her human selection.
These humans deserved every ounce of her affection, and soon, they would be drowning in the clouds and snuggles of 6 new cats, 5 of which were nearly blind, totally helpless, and completely adorable street kittens who needed a furrever home of their own. Alas, when it comes to human/cat relationships, felines can always count on the humans who pspsps their way into the hearts of the feline community, because those cat lovers will always be loyal to the kitty cause.
'Purrfectly fine up here, the view is great': 22 Cats in trees that definitely don't need saving
If you see a cat in a tree, do not panic. Chances are, they are enjoying some fresh air and appreciating the best views. From high up in the branches, they can watch birds, supervise the neighborhood, and feel safe and in control. Cats love climbing to high spots. And don't worry, if they are not coming down, that's because they are still busy. There might be suspicious movements in the yard that can only be spotted with panoramic views and excellent ventilation.
'If they fit, they sit': 24 Cats in silly places they shouldn't be
But cats never seem embarrassed by their questionable choices. They are like yeah, I'm just chilling in a flower pot, how are you doing today?
If they fit, they sit. That's their golden rule. And apparently, it's the only one they know.
'I see a cat': 21 Pawsitive cat memes to celebrate the sweetest meowmber of the family
Curiosity is a big part of a cat's charm. For millennia, cats, kittens, and felines of all sorts have captivated the feeble minds of humanity, reminding us to lean into the sillier side of life, ask questions, and remain always and furrever curious. A cat's curiosity is noble and refined, and despite years of aging into their feline wisdom, their curiosity never wavers.
Kittens, however, are meowraculous beings.
Without any semblance of a formative thought, kittens rely solely on their instinctive curiosity to guide them down the path of meownlightenment. Kitties follow the trails of string in their minds, winding and wandering through the world with only a few major thoughts in mind: playtime, sleep hours, and a delicious bowl of milk.
Although curiosity may lead cats into places they can't return from, like from atop the thresholds of the world's largest tree, cat curiosity never ceases to be charming. Bewitched by their resilience and ever-present playfulness, hoomans guile at a cat's marvels, hoping to emulate that curious charm in their own lives. Think of the places you'd go if you always remained curious?
Cats may get stuck in a tree, and they may find themselves in the depths of the house's plumbing, but regardless of the consequences of their whisker-driven curious nature, they will never stop exploring, adventuring, and being downright hissterical creatures. It's for this reason that cat lovers will always observe their felines in their natural habitat. Scouring the house for dust bunnies and invasive catnip, cats will hunt and chase and play and nap until their hearts are fully content. Follow your own heart and chase your own desires today, a-la-cat-style, and cherish the meowments that surprise you.
As surprising as it is to have your ankles bitten by a drive-by feline on a 2 AM mission for destruction, a cats curiosity and playfulness will never get old and it will never expire. Cats charm us that way; they always have and they always will. So kiss your kitty on the forehead today and celebrate their curious cuteness, because that's the type of spirit we should all embody.
Cat suspected stolen, returns home looking well fed after three years away from pawrents and feline brother after being spotted across the road, cat pawrent says: ‘We had already experienced one set of neighbours trying to steal both of our cats.’
Cases such as the one we are about to read about in this story are tough. There is no clear cut way to say that this happened or that happened. And from the side of the cat pawrents who are telling this story, it obviously looks like their cat child had been stolen and held against his will for several years. But what this family have forgotten to take into account is that a prowling male cat can have just as many hooman families as they might have female partners. Which is to say there can be several of them and none of them need be the wiser about one and other.
Something which is rather obvious when you consider that this catto strolled back into his original home looking incredibly well fed after three years. So what we might actually be looking at is a case of a cat who was fed up with one of his families and decided to take a nice little multi-year vacation from them.
A Divine Comedy of Cat Memes to Laugh, Cry, and Contemplate Existence
Dante's Divine Comedy is a three part epic poem about the search for divine illumination and love by the narrator and author himself, Dante Alighieri. From his incipient suffering in the Inferno, meeting all the sins of humanity in their grotesquely vivid imagery, to his ascend of Purgatory where the sinners of the Inferno can make their long way towards heaven, and finally in Paradiso where he soars from planet to planet with his muse, Beatrice, to learn of the ultimate divine illumination and divine love. His journey parallels our own, we just don't know it yet. From the beginning to the end, his crisis becomes a creation of good, and that's exactly what these memes will give you as well.
Cats are on their own journey from suffering to divine love, but it takes place all on the couch while you're at work. They have all day alone in a home, and they teeter totter between existential dread, and the desire to lock themselves alone in the woods like Jack Kerouac. But instead of that, you come home, greet them, feed and pet them, and then they're suddenly back to normal. So enjoy these existential cats going in and out of emotion.
'[She] immediately picks up a kitten and tries to escape with it': Woman intervenes to save a stray mama cat and her litter to turn them into full-time feline family members
When you're trying to transform a feral cat into a house prince or princess, it can be difficult enough. But when you bring in kittens into the adoption mix, it can become a handful very quickly. It's never an easy task, even for the most experienced and dedicated cat fosters - they'll be the first people to tell you this requires a lot of patience and specific steps that will lead an adoption process to success. So if you've taken the step and decided to give a home to a stray mama cat and her kittens - doing it alone is hard.
Luckily for all cat people in need of advice, we have the wholesome online feline family to lean on. It's the most heartwarming hivemind on the internet, made of cat people worldwide, with all their varying experiences and ready advice to any fellow feline fan in need. The fact that all cat people are so ready and eager to help each other makes our hearts skip a bit. Kind people, really.
30 Silly Memes of Cats Existing Without a Single Thought Upstairs
Some cats really move through life like there is not a single thought behind those eyes. No plans, no worries, no survival instincts, just pure vibes and occasional chaos. One second they are staring directly at a wall for ten straight minutes, and the next they are sprinting through the house at full speed because they got startled by absolutely nothing. Tiny little creatures somehow survive entirely on instinct and confidence alone.
Orange cats especially built entire reputations around sharing one collective brain cell, but honestly a lot of cats seem suspiciously thought-free sometimes. Falling off furniture, forgetting why they walked into a room, getting confused by their own tail, or staring blankly while making direct eye contact really does not give off advanced intelligence vibes. Somehow they still act completely confident during all of it too.
The funniest part is how serious cats look while having absolutely no clue what is happening. Some cats sit there looking wise and mysterious like tiny philosophers while their brain is probably just playing elevator music nonstop. Meanwhile other cats look visibly startled by their own existence half the time.
Life probably feels pretty peaceful without many thoughts happening upstairs. No stress, no overthinking, just naps, snacks, screaming at random hours, and causing manageable amounts of destruction around the house. Tiny furry weirdos somehow mastered the art of existing without a single coherent plan, and people still completely adore them for it.
'I found him on the road': Cuddly rescue kitten goes from scared stray on the roadside to safe, spoiled house cat after instantly winning over his rescuer’s heart
One tiny kitten on the side of the road really managed to completely change somebody's entire day. At first it probably felt like one of those moments where you stop to help for a minute and then continue on with life, but kittens rarely work that way. The second this little guy let himself get picked up, everything changed. Tiny kittens that young really depend on somebody noticing them and stepping in to help.
He sounds like he adjusted to indoor life almost immediately. A bath, wet food, cuddles, and using the litter box right away makes it seem like he had experience around people before all of this happened. Some kittens stay terrified for days, but this little guy already sounds comfortable, relaxed, and happy to be around humans. The cuddly personality definitely did not help the emotional attachment situation either.
It is also very easy to understand how this turned into instant love. Tiny kittens somehow have a way of taking over emotionally within a few hours. One minute somebody is rescuing a cat because it feels like the right thing to do, and the next they are already hoping their partner agrees to keeping him forever. Honestly, this little fluffy guy already sounds completely settled in.
At this point, it feels less like a temporary rescue and more like the beginning of a very spoiled indoor cat life.
31 Hissterical Posts of Cats Celebrating the Cozy Feline Future We All Deserve
If money was no object, we would be living in a mansion somewhere outside the city, with all the cats we could pawssibly adopt. We would turn the mansion and the land around it into a cat sanctuary and rescue. No people around to bother us, just us, our partner, and our giant feline family to care for.
Unfortunately, money is still crucial to our survival, so that dream isn't looking like it's getting any closer. Vet visits are more expensive than they were a few years ago, and things in general are getting more costly. With all the stuff going on in the world right now, it's easy to start to feel like everything is pointless.
But, we have one very impurrtant thing to tell you: life may look purrticularly bleak right now, but as long as there are cats, there is still hope.
Because of our cats, we've gotten through some of the ruffest points in our lives. They saved us when we cried for days after breakups, calmed us down when we were in between jobs, and gave us a reason to get out of bed every meowrning. Because of them, we truly live. All to give them the best life we can.
So, yes, your present may not look great. Welcome to the club, snacks are on the left. But as long as we have our cute cat kiddos, some hissterical feline posts to scroll through, and a dream, we know that we can make it through another day. And every day is one step closer to living alone, in a mansion, with just our cats. Anything is pawssible!
A Ray of Sunshine in the Form of 23 Fuzzy Feline Funnies
Whether you work a 9-5 from an office, are fully remote, or even unemployed, your mornings usually look the same. From the moment you open your eyes and acknowledge that a new day has arrived, your morning routine begins.
Some people like to step into the shower first thing, and welcome the day feeling clean and refreshed. Others will scroll on their phones for hours before stepping out of their beds, allowing themselves to enjoy a lazy morning without thinking about any of their responsibilities. Then, there are those who refuse to do anything before they hold a steaming cup of coffee in their hands and are actively fueling their bodies with their much-needed dose of caffeine.
Each of these routines, and many more, has its own benefits and qualities. Wishing to start the morning refreshed, entertained, and even with an artificial dose of adrenaline are all valid needs for people when they start their day. They are all highly important. You don't have to force yourself to go to the gym at 6:00 AM to feel like you are taking care of yourself. Even if scrolling on your phone for an hour before you leave your bed is not considered 'healthy', if it makes you happy, why does that even matter?
Our current favorite morning routine is a combination of the few we described above. First, we give our beloved kitten a final cuddle, then get out of bed to brush our teeth to start the day refreshed. After that, we will slowly head to the kitchen and fix ourselves with the best cup of coffee in the world. Then, we take our phones, sit comfortably on the couch alongside our purrfect companion, with our freshly-brewed cup of coffee, and start scrolling our way through the best cat memes on the internet, to ensure we start the day with a smile on our faces.
This routine ensures we feel clean, energized, and gleeful first thing in the morning, so we do not intend to change it anytime soon. We actually recommend that anyone give it a try if they haven't already, especially with the hilarious memes that are waiting down below. If this collection doesn't bring a smile to your face at the start of your day, we honestly don't know what will.
'Meow I have your attention, please?': 21 Kittens meowing with urgent news
Meow I have your attention, please? Kittens meow like there's something extremely important that must be addressed immediately. Maybe they are asking for food, demanding your attention, or just sharing their thoughts with the world. They always have something to say. So if you are interested in hearing kitten opinions, keep scrolling for wholesome kittens meowing their hearts out and making the cutest demands imaginable.
‘No thoughts, just meow’: 23 Purrfectly Mesmerizing Cats for Cat Lovers in Need of Serotonin
Beautiful cats honestly move through life like tiny furry celebrities who know the camera loves them from every possible angle. One second, they are dramatically stretching in a sunbeam like Renaissance paintings come to life, and the next, they are falling off a chair because they got distracted by absolutely nothing. The duality is part of the magic, honestly.
There is also something unfairly mesmerizing about cat eyes. They can stare directly into your soul for five straight minutes without blinking, then immediately demand snacks like they did not just psychologically profile you in complete silence. Add the slow blinks, the twitchy whiskers, and the little head tilts, and suddenly people are emotionally attached to an animal that once screamed at a wall for no reason.
And then there is the fluff. The glorious, luxurious, completely unreasonable fluff. Long-haired cats genuinely walk around looking like enchanted royalty from fantasy movies while casually knocking water glasses off tables moments later. Meanwhile, short-haired cats somehow manage to look sleek, shiny, and judgmental enough to humble an entire household with one tiny side-eye from across the room.
The best cat memes capture that perfect mix of beauty, chaos, elegance, and total goblin behavior. Cats can look like majestic little angels while simultaneously committing crimes against furniture, sleep schedules, and basic human peace. Honestly, the internet was basically invented for sharing photos of tiny meowing supermodels with dramatic personalities and suspiciously soft little paws.
