A Divine Comedy of Cat Memes to Laugh, Cry, and Contemplate Existence

LOL Cats - Thu, 05/21/2026 - 08:00
You aren't the only one going through an existential crisis – cats are right there with you.

Dante's Divine Comedy is a three part epic poem about the search for divine illumination and love by the narrator and author himself, Dante Alighieri. From his incipient suffering in the Inferno, meeting all the sins of humanity in their grotesquely vivid imagery, to his ascend of Purgatory where the sinners of the Inferno can make their long way towards heaven, and finally in Paradiso where he soars from planet to planet with his muse, Beatrice, to learn of the ultimate divine illumination and divine love. His journey parallels our own, we just don't know it yet. From the beginning to the end, his crisis becomes a creation of good, and that's exactly what these memes will give you as well.

Cats are on their own journey from suffering to divine love, but it takes place all on the couch while you're at work. They have all day alone in a home, and they teeter totter between existential dread, and the desire to lock themselves alone in the woods like Jack Kerouac. But instead of that, you come home, greet them, feed and pet them, and then they're suddenly back to normal. So enjoy these existential cats going in and out of emotion.

Ohio woman resigns from her medical billing job and discovers her former manager is telling clients she was fired for misconduct involving patient accounts: ‘I don’t want this rumor to damage my new job before I even start’

Fail Blog - Thu, 05/21/2026 - 07:30
Resigning politely and finishing out two weeks without a single write-up is about as clean an exit as a job can have. Then, three weeks later, a former manager is telling healthcare clients that the same person was terminated for misconduct involving patient accounts, which in that industry is basically one step below saying they were arrested.

'[She] immediately picks up a kitten and tries to escape with it': Woman intervenes to save a stray mama cat and her litter to turn them into full-time feline family members

LOL Cats - Thu, 05/21/2026 - 07:15
Getting a feral cat to adjust to indoor life is difficult. But luckily for cat people, we have the vast experience of the online feline family.

When you're trying to transform a feral cat into a house prince or princess, it can be difficult enough. But when you bring in kittens into the adoption mix, it can become a handful very quickly. It's never an easy task, even for the most experienced and dedicated cat fosters - they'll be the first people to tell you this requires a lot of patience and specific steps that will lead an adoption process to success. So if you've taken the step and decided to give a home to a stray mama cat and her kittens - doing it alone is hard.

Luckily for all cat people in need of advice, we have the wholesome online feline family to lean on. It's the most heartwarming hivemind on the internet, made of cat people worldwide, with all their varying experiences and ready advice to any fellow feline fan in need. The fact that all cat people are so ready and eager to help each other makes our hearts skip a bit. Kind people, really.

Blue-collar trucker finally has it with manager always messing with him, so he quits and leaves 2 hours' worth of bolts to sort through: ‘[He] got a taste of his own medicine.’

Fail Blog - Thu, 05/21/2026 - 06:45
What happens when you keep messing with an old-school blue-collar truck driver?

Well, every action has consequences. So, when this manager kept messing with all of his truckers and the supervisor didn't intervene, one trucker decided to take matters into their own hands. And we're not talking a two-week notice and a healthy goodbye. We're talking some epic karmic justice. One you can only read about online through the POV of the actual person doing the justice. In this case, the effort included backing a huge truck and dumping the contents of bolts out for the manager and supervisor to sort through themselves.

30 Silly Memes of Cats Existing Without a Single Thought Upstairs

LOL Cats - Thu, 05/21/2026 - 06:30
Not every cat was blessed with intelligence, but they definitely make up for it with confidence.

Some cats really move through life like there is not a single thought behind those eyes. No plans, no worries, no survival instincts, just pure vibes and occasional chaos. One second they are staring directly at a wall for ten straight minutes, and the next they are sprinting through the house at full speed because they got startled by absolutely nothing. Tiny little creatures somehow survive entirely on instinct and confidence alone.

Orange cats especially built entire reputations around sharing one collective brain cell, but honestly a lot of cats seem suspiciously thought-free sometimes. Falling off furniture, forgetting why they walked into a room, getting confused by their own tail, or staring blankly while making direct eye contact really does not give off advanced intelligence vibes. Somehow they still act completely confident during all of it too.

The funniest part is how serious cats look while having absolutely no clue what is happening. Some cats sit there looking wise and mysterious like tiny philosophers while their brain is probably just playing elevator music nonstop. Meanwhile other cats look visibly startled by their own existence half the time.

Life probably feels pretty peaceful without many thoughts happening upstairs. No stress, no overthinking, just naps, snacks, screaming at random hours, and causing manageable amounts of destruction around the house. Tiny furry weirdos somehow mastered the art of existing without a single coherent plan, and people still completely adore them for it.

'I found him on the road': Cuddly rescue kitten goes from scared stray on the roadside to safe, spoiled house cat after instantly winning over his rescuer’s heart

LOL Cats - Thu, 05/21/2026 - 05:45
Sometimes a tiny fluffy face is enough to completely change the direction of somebody's day.

One tiny kitten on the side of the road really managed to completely change somebody's entire day. At first it probably felt like one of those moments where you stop to help for a minute and then continue on with life, but kittens rarely work that way. The second this little guy let himself get picked up, everything changed. Tiny kittens that young really depend on somebody noticing them and stepping in to help.

He sounds like he adjusted to indoor life almost immediately. A bath, wet food, cuddles, and using the litter box right away makes it seem like he had experience around people before all of this happened. Some kittens stay terrified for days, but this little guy already sounds comfortable, relaxed, and happy to be around humans. The cuddly personality definitely did not help the emotional attachment situation either.

It is also very easy to understand how this turned into instant love. Tiny kittens somehow have a way of taking over emotionally within a few hours. One minute somebody is rescuing a cat because it feels like the right thing to do, and the next they are already hoping their partner agrees to keeping him forever. Honestly, this little fluffy guy already sounds completely settled in.

At this point, it feels less like a temporary rescue and more like the beginning of a very spoiled indoor cat life.

Update: Boss denies employee's July PTO request because it aligns with her vacation, employee refuses to cancel her trip, finds better job at competitor

Fail Blog - Thu, 05/21/2026 - 05:00
This woman's boss lost a valuable employee, thereby jeopardizing the health and stability of the company, all because of a PTO request that was submitted months in advance.

It's remarkable what some employers choose to prioritize when it comes to management. This employee was highly regarded across her short-staffed team and earned a strong reputation for taking on the workload of multiple people at a time without ever complaining or asking for additional support.

You would think that a hard-working team member like that would be treated fairly when it came time to take her well-deserved time off. Well, it turns out that at this company, hard work does not beget high rewards. It just begets more hard work.

31 Hissterical Posts of Cats Celebrating the Cozy Feline Future We All Deserve

LOL Cats - Thu, 05/21/2026 - 04:00
What does your purrfect future look like?

If money was no object, we would be living in a mansion somewhere outside the city, with all the cats we could pawssibly adopt. We would turn the mansion and the land around it into a cat sanctuary and rescue. No people around to bother us, just us, our partner, and our giant feline family to care for.

Unfortunately, money is still crucial to our survival, so that dream isn't looking like it's getting any closer. Vet visits are more expensive than they were a few years ago, and things in general are getting more costly. With all the stuff going on in the world right now, it's easy to start to feel like everything is pointless.

But, we have one very impurrtant thing to tell you: life may look purrticularly bleak right now, but as long as there are cats, there is still hope.

Because of our cats, we've gotten through some of the ruffest points in our lives. They saved us when we cried for days after breakups, calmed us down when we were in between jobs, and gave us a reason to get out of bed every meowrning. Because of them, we truly live. All to give them the best life we can.

So, yes, your present may not look great. Welcome to the club, snacks are on the left. But as long as we have our cute cat kiddos, some hissterical feline posts to scroll through, and a dream, we know that we can make it through another day. And every day is one step closer to living alone, in a mansion, with just our cats. Anything is pawssible!

A Ray of Sunshine in the Form of 23 Fuzzy Feline Funnies

LOL Cats - Thu, 05/21/2026 - 03:15
We all have morning routines that we cherish and enjoy.

Whether you work a 9-5 from an office, are fully remote, or even unemployed, your mornings usually look the same. From the moment you open your eyes and acknowledge that a new day has arrived, your morning routine begins.

Some people like to step into the shower first thing, and welcome the day feeling clean and refreshed. Others will scroll on their phones for hours before stepping out of their beds, allowing themselves to enjoy a lazy morning without thinking about any of their responsibilities. Then, there are those who refuse to do anything before they hold a steaming cup of coffee in their hands and are actively fueling their bodies with their much-needed dose of caffeine.

Each of these routines, and many more, has its own benefits and qualities. Wishing to start the morning refreshed, entertained, and even with an artificial dose of adrenaline are all valid needs for people when they start their day. They are all highly important. You don't have to force yourself to go to the gym at 6:00 AM to feel like you are taking care of yourself. Even if scrolling on your phone for an hour before you leave your bed is not considered 'healthy', if it makes you happy, why does that even matter?

Our current favorite morning routine is a combination of the few we described above. First, we give our beloved kitten a final cuddle, then get out of bed to brush our teeth to start the day refreshed. After that, we will slowly head to the kitchen and fix ourselves with the best cup of coffee in the world. Then, we take our phones, sit comfortably on the couch alongside our purrfect companion, with our freshly-brewed cup of coffee, and start scrolling our way through the best cat memes on the internet, to ensure we start the day with a smile on our faces.

This routine ensures we feel clean, energized, and gleeful first thing in the morning, so we do not intend to change it anytime soon. We actually recommend that anyone give it a try if they haven't already, especially with the hilarious memes that are waiting down below. If this collection doesn't bring a smile to your face at the start of your day, we honestly don't know what will.

People share times they finagled companies into paying them for doing 0 work: 'The truth is, I'm at home not even thinking about [work].'

Fail Blog - Wed, 05/20/2026 - 17:00
Hey Google, how can you get paid to do nothing?

You don't need Google for that answer; we have the answer to that right here! Turns out, if you're convincing enough, you can get away with doing nothing at your job and still get paid. Sure, people have been doing this for years. That's how so many incompetent people make their way up the corporate ladder. But here we have found some real people (well, Redditors) sharing their experience as a zero-productivity employee. What does that entail? A little bit of fudging up some numbers and a whole lot of creative convincing skills. Heck, "being charming" truly is an art form.

Couple waves hello to new neighbors sleeping in their car across the street and somehow ends up with a stranger on their porch uninvited at night: 'We played the friendly neighbor card and now we are being punished'

Fail Blog - Wed, 05/20/2026 - 16:15
You played the good neighbor card. Now play the boundary card, before the porch visits become a permanent fixture.

Friendliness is not a lease agreement. These neighbors found that out the hard way when a wave hello turned into an uninvited guest situation faster than anyone saw coming, and the only thing left to do now is have the conversation they should have had at the second visit.

Company cancels a 25-year-old’s signed contract extension, leaves him unemployed with a new lease to pay, pushing him to sue for everything he can

Fail Blog - Wed, 05/20/2026 - 14:15
Companies love the word unfortunately. It does a lot of heavy lifting in situations where the more accurate word would be negligently. This story here is a masterclass in corporate informality working entirely in one direction. The intern works outside contracted hours, covers overnight shifts, and helps in hazardous areas, all on the basis of verbal agreements and the general understanding that everyone was cool with it. When it came time to extend the contract, the company confirmed it repeatedly over text, got it signed, and then two weeks later sent a calendar invite that turned out to be an ambush with a coordinator who had clearly never heard the phrase we already signed that.

'Meow I have your attention, please?': 21 Kittens meowing with urgent news

LOL Cats - Wed, 05/20/2026 - 13:45
Kittens are tiny, but their adorable voices are anything but small. They are loud, dramatic, urgent, squeaky, and full of emotion. And we are more than happy to listen. So turn your sound on and listen to these cute kittens meowing like they have breaking news to tell us.

Meow I have your attention, please? Kittens meow like there's something extremely important that must be addressed immediately. Maybe they are asking for food, demanding your attention, or just sharing their thoughts with the world. They always have something to say. So if you are interested in hearing kitten opinions, keep scrolling for wholesome kittens meowing their hearts out and making the cutest demands imaginable.

Couple wakes up at 5am for a full-day lake trip, mother-in-law shows up late with her dog, demands to leave after two hours, and costs them hundreds of dollars in wasted rental time: 'She's invited to absolutely nothing again'

Fail Blog - Wed, 05/20/2026 - 13:00
When you give up the good boat, pay the pet fee, lose two hours before launching, and still only get three hours on the water, 'did I overreact?' is simply the wrong question.

The accommodation was complete. The respect was nowhere. And the only thing left to figure out is whether next summer's invite list looks a little different.

‘No thoughts, just meow’: 23 Purrfectly Mesmerizing Cats for Cat Lovers in Need of Serotonin

LOL Cats - Wed, 05/20/2026 - 12:30
How do cats manage to look both impossibly elegant and completely ridiculous at the same time?

Beautiful cats honestly move through life like tiny furry celebrities who know the camera loves them from every possible angle. One second, they are dramatically stretching in a sunbeam like Renaissance paintings come to life, and the next, they are falling off a chair because they got distracted by absolutely nothing. The duality is part of the magic, honestly.

There is also something unfairly mesmerizing about cat eyes. They can stare directly into your soul for five straight minutes without blinking, then immediately demand snacks like they did not just psychologically profile you in complete silence. Add the slow blinks, the twitchy whiskers, and the little head tilts, and suddenly people are emotionally attached to an animal that once screamed at a wall for no reason.

And then there is the fluff. The glorious, luxurious, completely unreasonable fluff. Long-haired cats genuinely walk around looking like enchanted royalty from fantasy movies while casually knocking water glasses off tables moments later. Meanwhile, short-haired cats somehow manage to look sleek, shiny, and judgmental enough to humble an entire household with one tiny side-eye from across the room.

The best cat memes capture that perfect mix of beauty, chaos, elegance, and total goblin behavior. Cats can look like majestic little angels while simultaneously committing crimes against furniture, sleep schedules, and basic human peace. Honestly, the internet was basically invented for sharing photos of tiny meowing supermodels with dramatic personalities and suspiciously soft little paws.

Friend group's default driver refuses to go on a lake trip after no one chips in for gas up front, friends blame him for cancelling the trip: ‘[We] already bought food’

Fail Blog - Wed, 05/20/2026 - 12:15
Being the friend with a car usually means becoming the group's default driver. It's one of those unspoken pacts that everyone seems to accept, especially when the driver doesn't mind helping and can afford to cover gas. But that's not particularly the case with this group of friends.

This man had been driving his friends everywhere for years. They relied on him whenever they wanted to go anywhere, and he never complained because he could afford it. But the moment he was laid off, his financial situation changed, and filling up his gas tank became an expense.

So you might expect a good friend to understand him and offer to help. Well, not the case here. His friends continued relying on him to cover the gas costs for a weekend trip to the lake, dismissing his several requests for everyone to chip in up front.

Pennsylvania tenant calls out landlord for trying to sneak new clause into his lease renewal without approval: 'These companies count on you not reading [your lease]'

Fail Blog - Wed, 05/20/2026 - 11:30
Let this serve as a friendly reminder to always read a document thoroughly before you sign it.

This tenant, who is based in Pennsylvania, found himself in a heated dispute with his landlord over a new provision he discovered in his lease renewal that the property managers failed to mention when they sent over his lease renewal via email. No, it wasn't a simple oversight on their part. They were clearly banking on the tenant's laziness and the hope that he wouldn't read what he was supposed to sign.

Thankfully, they vastly underestimated him and would now pay the price.

In-office manager tries to lie his way into a room during yearly in-person meeting for remote workers, takes team 15 minutes to prove he's full of it: ‘Enter entitled manager… at 2pm.’

Fail Blog - Wed, 05/20/2026 - 10:45
How do you handle an entitled manager?

Anybody who has participated in the workforce at some point or another has encountered these kinds of managers. And if you haven't, you are one lucky person! There is always someone along the way who was given too much responsibility and is in management and uses that to power play rather than get actual work done. It's frustrating and such a waste of time and assets. There are so many ways to deal with these types of incompetent, egotistical managers. This team decided their best tool to defeat their entitled manager was to follow the paperwork.

Company owner demands employees fill out anonymous survey about work, only to turn it into a public loyalty test: ‘Everyone in the room realized this was a test’

Fail Blog - Wed, 05/20/2026 - 10:00
"From 1-10, rate how awesome you think the company owner is."

If the CEO of the company you work for decides to one day have an anonymous survey and demands that every employee fill it out, you should be aware of these facts: 1. The CEO can go on and on about how the survey is meant to "help the company improve", but improvement is the last thing the company actually does with the information they collected. 2. The survey is never actually anonymous. If they want to know who said what about the company, they will find out. 3. They might say that they want you to answer truthfully, but truth often leads to consequences. Remember that before you actually circle number "4" on the scale of how happy you are with how the company treats its employees.

The Catwalk Chronicles: 40 Purrfectly Photogenic Cats Meowdeling for the Camera

LOL Cats - Wed, 05/20/2026 - 09:45
The devil wears prada, but the cat wears purrada.

Look, we know people think they're the most fashionable, camera-ready creatures on Earth. These people who say that have clearly never met a cat. Cats are flawless, and they definitely don't need no Prada to purrove it. And absolutely no sequels - cats are purrfect just the way they are. You know, unlike a certain movie about the fashion industry that milks its success with a better-never-than-later sequel because apparently the first wasn't perfect - otherwise, why would it need a sequel… are we right, or are we right?

But we digress. We're here to focus on all that feline fabulousness, aren't we? Yes, we are. And this is exactly why we asked our more than awesome online cat community over on our I Can Has Cheezburger Facebook page to show us their fashionable, camera-ready, meowing models. And we have to admit - we fell in love with each and every one. Here are 40 of them.
