Well, have you ever shared memes with them? Because that is cool cat behavior. A cat doesn't have to try to be cool, they just are. Even the really squirrely ones who bounce off the walls when you sneeze. It's just that easy for them. There is a reason we say, "cool cats" and not any other animal. They have the swag and the cuteness. They know they're cute, fluffy, and adorable, but they also know that they are worshipped and feared. It's true, just as the Egyptians! 

Back then, humans made giant sculptures of cats with tons of offerings at their feet. They're our little majestic guys. Nowadays, we don't really make big statues that we bow down to, but we still worship them in different ways. We buy them all kinds of beds and toys, even though they tend to sleep on your laptop and love to play with a straw wrapper. And we make memes about them. 

Oh boy, is the internet meant for cat memes! It's the only thing keeping this scary world wide web from getting too dark. Cats are our lifeline online! If it wasn't for their chillness, nobody would ever be a cool cat! So let's worship them in the best way we know how to these days, with these memes. Should AC be a legal must in an office?

It's July, summer is at its peak, and heatwaves are almost a regular occurrence across the world. Unless you live in Australia, where people are currently enjoying a chilly winter, or other places where summer is basically a myth, you must be sitting under the AC and finding ways to fight the heat. 

Welcome to planet Earth.

As Europe has learned in recent weeks, surviving summer without air-conditioning infrastructure is basically impossible. Some days during this dreadful season cannot be lived through without some way to keep cool, and an AC is the best possible solution.

The fact that the company below decided to start saving money by shutting off the AC every day at 3 pm should definitely be illegal. What are employees supposed to do until they finish their workday at 6 pm? Sit at their desks and suffer in silence? How can a company be allowed to put its employees through this in the middle of summer?

If that's not enough, recently employees learned that on management floors, the AC is still up and running way past 3 pm. Apparently, management doesn't need to suffer like lesser workers. Their floor is freezing while employees below are forced to buy themselves fans to put on their desks.

If my company decided to do something like that, I would have helped them save even more money by quitting my job and never looking back. I am not going to sit in a boiling office while my boss is comfortably sitting upstairs, probably laughing at my expense. No AC = No work. It might be time for the employees to actually implement this rule at their office. I bet management is going to cave real fast if everyone simply stops working, or even floods the management floor and starts working from there…

Cat memes, like cats, bring us much-needed moments of wholesomeness and joy. 

If you are or have ever been a cat owner, then there is one thing that you know for a fact, and that is that cats have so, so much purrsonality. There are so many things about each and every one of them that make them unique. For example, like many others, my cat loves to sit in the sink, especially in the hot summer. But unlike other cats, my cat has an issue with getting off the sink. It's not that she can't. It's that she chooses not to. I have made the mistake of coming to her aid and helping her come down one too many times, and now, I can safely say that my cat has trained me successfully, and instead of coming down on her own, she sits on the sink and screams until I pick her royal bootie up and place her down. 

Every cat is like this. Every cat has something about it that makes it special. Some cats like to eat non-cat foods and will shamelessly steal that specific food off your plate the second that you are not looking. Other cats have emotional support items, and their day is completely ruined if they cannot reach that item in their desired time frame. And those are just a couple of examples. There is something unique about every cat's purrsonality, and the one way that we can capture these special traits in the most purrfect way is with cat memes, of course. Like cats, cat memes are full of purrsonality and cattitude, and they bring us so much happiness and moments of wholesomeness and joy. When we cannot have access to our cats, like during a busy workweek, cat memes are what keeps us sane. So, here are some of my favorite cat memes of the week. 

Live, life, love… and cats. 

Life has a funny way of challenging us. Just when things seem purrfect it could all come to a screeching halt. Just when you think you finally unlocked life's difficulties, and can appropriately tackle anything that comes your way, it's then that something so enormously unexpected drops itself into your lap isn't it? It's easy to become engrossed in your own struggles, especially when it seems like they just keep piling up. From work stress, relationship instability, or your cat meowing up a storm at 4 am for breakfast, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the consistency of life events. Sometimes, we just want a break and an escape from it all. Cat memes are always there to help us focus on what's important, to not dwell on things we can't control, and to appreciate the things we do have. 

A smile goes a long way, so why not start today and get some giggles out before you can't? Cats are a great reminder to smile because they're just so innocent and cute. Their whimsy and silly countenance inspires us to let go of the burdens we carry. It helps us take some weight off our shoulders and get to a point where we can just simply appreciate life and love for what it is and nothing more. To reach out or not to reach out

Closure is a funny thing; it's never entirely clear to us what we are trying to find when we're looking for it. Oftentimes we want to express our side of the story before we let go of the other person completely; other times, we're secretly hoping to reignite a friendship or a past love affair; but every time it's about something deeper than just 'closing'. Some people say that looking for closure is futile, but I differ. I think the important thing about closure is the act itself, aside from the content of the message: if it's polite, if it's not aggressive, if it's about saying goodbye or saying something you never dared to say, I think one should always try to reach out and send it. Having said all that, when one sends one of those long, feared paragraphs, one should know that the answer might never come, or that it might be frustrating, incomplete, or invalidating. The ideal situation would be to send the message only to express ourselves and say our goodbyes, regardless of the answer.

Fate works in mysterious ways, but all we know is that fate works hand in hand with the cat distribution system. 

As they say, when one door closes, the other opens. You don't have to believe in fate itself to notice the signs of a miracle, or the strangeness of timing that gives meaning to the universe in all its chaos. Souls can replace each other; sometimes it can feel like there's a balance and flow that the universe stays in. Where things can't be too good, but they can't be too bad. In Reddit's r/CatDistributionSystem, the system works hand in hand with fate for a couple that needed a cat but didn't know it. This couple lost their 18 year old soul cat, Tuffy just recently. It was sudden and horrible, but as life would have it their grieving wouldn't last long before it was replaced by something new and loving. In just three months time, they miraculously found another cat. They thought they would wait to bring home another pet but then they saw this little void cat outside while bailing out their dog. What struck them was her eyes, she had the same eyes and a white spot in the same place as their cat Tuffy. Then, to further their surprise, when they let her outside they saw that she also likes to play fetch. 

It was then that they knew they couldn't leave her, and everyone loves her so far. Though no one will fully replace Tuffy, they at least got to have another new cat to distract them, and even make them contemplate life in all its big mysteries. A request is something you ask for as a favor that may or may not be done. A guarantee, on the other hand, is something that is promised to you and needs to be done.

Some guests that front desk employees have to deal with are comparable to little children that just started to attend kindergarten. They need everything to be repeated a thousand times with a calm voice. They don't know the difference between some words, and they throw tantrums when they don't get what they want. So maybe when these employees use gentle parenting to calm them down and educate them is not so bad. 

At a previous job that I had, I remember that our trainer usually told us that we had to educate the customer. As if they were children and we were some kind of teacher. I always hated that because it meant that most customers usually didn't know anything about the way we work and didn't even want to learn beforehand. Which led to uncomfortable situations where they expected to be right or at least get their way just because, and we would have to act like a first-grade teacher that is educating children on the meaning of the word no. 
 

The fact that managers and higher-ups expect things like these to happen and so they train their employees to deal with that just shows the poor perception they have of the clients, that they have to be treated as kids. This Reddit story got me thinking about the two kinds of customers that exist when you, as an employee, say no. On one side, we have the understanding one that says it's fine and moves on. And on the other, we have a childish adult who makes a scene over everything that doesn't go their way. Be more like the first kind. The employees that serve you are going to appreciate it deeply. 

Have a mystery that needs solving?

Who needs Sherlock Holmes when cats are already on the case? Armed with twitchy whiskers, laser-focused stares, and an unhealthy amount of curiosity, these feline detectives are determined to investigate every suspicious sound, mysterious box, and treat that vanished without a trace. The verdict? They're adorable, even if they're investigating absolutely nothing.

Mixing friendship and office politics is basically like combining ice with boiling water. Nothing good comes out of it, and both lose purpose. Only difference is, in the first case, definitely getting boiled and/or put on ice.

Getting talked about behind your back by someone you helped introduce to your entire social circle isn't betrayal exactly, it's more like handing someone the keys to your house and coming home to find they've rearranged the furniture and told the neighbors you're a mess. She had a whole group chat dedicated to trashing you, using mutual friends you provided as the audience. That's not friendship, that's running a smear campaign using your own contact list against you.

Getting fired is hard, but it would be lying to assume that some of these stories weren't funny!

Being unemployed is no one's desire during the state of the job market, taking into account how much it costs to live and take care of a family. But that doesn't mean that getting fired is always bad. Of course, no one wants it, but sometimes it can also be the only way to fully get rid of that awful boss that always speaks down to you. Or to stop seeing that coworker that love to spread unconstructive criticism about every single thing you did. Getting fired can mean being free from an unbearable work environment that was consuming you. In this Reddit thread, there are a lot of those kinds of stories that make us realize that sometimes something bad can be good. 

I don't see myself as someone very positive, but it is true that there are some bad things from which we can get a positive outcome. Not only when getting fired, but this also applies to getting dumped by your girlfriend or stopping being friends with someone. No matter how bad the situation seems right now, it may have something positive attached to it. There is no need to only focus on the bad side. Because, of course, it is bad, but it is not THAT bad. You may have gotten laid off at a job, but maybe that motivated you to apply to a better one and you git. Maybe your girlfriend dumped you after 5 years, but that makes you realize that you have put your interests in stop to focus on the couple, and this is the time to change it, to give your dreams the importance they deserve. The friendship may be over, but that's the way you realize which of your friends are actually loyal and are going to be by your side and the good, the bad, and the ugly. 

Not everything that we lose is an actual loss. Sometimes it is a door that appears, and now we are forced to open it. And on the other side, there is something good waiting for us that we would have never discovered if it wasn't for that bad thing that occurred. Not everything is the end of the world. Sometimes there is something positive we can take away from it. 
 

The Cat Distribution System works in many mysterious ways that defy feline behavioral guidelines, but the story that we have today strays further from the guides of the feline handbook than we have ever seen. Showing a whole new side ot cats we had assumed did not exist.

Reddit's r/CATHELP subreddit is usually a place for pawrents to scream out their frustrations about raising a feline and seek help and advice to make the experience more manageable. After all, anyone who has been kept awake three nights in a row with kittens running zoomies over their face is going to be a little bit crabby. But the story we found today is quite the departure from the norm as it tells the tail of a tiny kitten who was gifted to a hooman by the kitten's father. An absolute rarity in the cat community as cat dads hardly ever find themselves in the picture when their litter is born. Let alone taking responsibility for finding the runt of the litter a suitable home to live in.

But that is exactly what this outstanding feline father did, stepping up to take on a task that most hoomans shy away from. But he knew he had to do right by his son and ensure that despite his smaller stature and strength, that he would live a life of laughter and love. Which is exactly what this kitten got when he was added to our rescuer's fur family, gaining two canine siblings and a robot floor cleaner to play with. But perhaps the most heartwarming part of this story is the fact that even though his dad gave him up, he still stopped by every single day to check on his long lost son. 
 

How long can an employee last in a workplace without getting a raise?

With the state of the world today, a pay raise has become a necessity that is almost a must for every employee. Prices go up, gas, rent, and groceries are more expensive every day, and your salary needs to rise at least in line with the rest of the world in order for you to keep up. But does that actually happen? Do employers give their workers raises every time the price of eggs goes up?

In our dreams, maybe.

Instead, employees find themselves stuck in the same workplaces, working the same jobs, with the same salary for years and years. Every few months, they go to their boss's office and ask for what they earned, and every time, they leave disappointed. Until, at least, they realized they can proabably do better somewhere else. Why stay somewhere that offers you nothing in return?

That is what led the employee below to look for another job. For three years, they have worked in the same company, and for three years, they didn't get a single raise. No matter how many times they asked, and no matter how many times their boss promised that she was working on it, nothing changed. So, the employee decided to turn their efforts into looking for another job, and after a search, they found a better-paying job and decided to resign.

What they didn't expect when they handed in their resignation letter was for their boss to act so surprised. Not only did she claim that the resignation was unexpected, but she actually felt offended that the employee didn't share that they were looking for a new job in the first place. According to her, if she had known, she would have pushed for a raise even harder.

Putting your cat kid in a carrier is one of the hardest things you can possibly do as a pawrent. But between vet visits, holidays and more, there are more than a few times a year that we need to carry our cats. So I hope this collection of creative ideas will help you convince your cat to climb into their carrier.

On Reddit's r/NoStupidQuestions subreddit there are indeed a lot of questions that could have been answered with a little commonsense, but that is the whole point of the forum. Though I do not believe that the question we are answering with this list a stupid question at all. If anything it is incredibly smart for each and everytime we have to bring out the carrier and watch our cat kids lose their minds it breaks our hearts all over again. I myself cannot say how many times I have spent upwards of an hour chasing after my wriggling cat trying to corral him into his carrier.

But by the end of this list I hope that both you and I will find some suggestions that not only suit our lifestyle but also our cat's. As with anything there is no one size fits all cats rule, so how you end up doing things is down to you guys. I just wish for you to not end up full of scratches with a cat who refuses to leave his hiding spot under the bed. 
 

A financial choice made years ago by a family member can be interpreted as a generous favor, an obligation, or a complete surprise for a person who is now being asked to pay for it. Every great cat kingdom starts with a cardboard box.

Every cat deserves a castle, and judging by the internet, plenty of devoted pawrents have accepted the challenge. It usually starts with one empty cardboard box that was supposed to be recycled. Then another gets added for a second room. Before long, there's a tunnel connecting everything together, a lookout tower overlooking the living room, and a cardboard kingdom that's somehow become the nicest piece of furniture in the house.

Some of these castles are seriously impressive. Multi-story forts with little windows, winding hallways, tiny doors, and secret passageways make them look like they came straight out of a fairy tale. A few even have painted bricks, flags flying from the towers, and hand-drawn signs welcoming the royal residents home. Meanwhile, the cats stroll inside like they commissioned the entire project themselves.

Every new addition has to pass a thorough inspection. The walls get claw-tested. The corners get chewed. Every tunnel gets sprinted through at maximum zoomie speed before the castle earns the royal stamp of approval. If it survives all that, it's officially fit for feline royalty.

The rulers waste no time making themselves comfortable. One claims the tallest tower for afternoon loafing. Another guards the front entrance from imaginary intruders. Some spend hours peeking through tiny windows, keeping a close eye on the kingdom beyond the castle walls. Others simply curl up in the biggest room and nap like royalty after a long day of supervising construction.

These cardboard castles is that they're built with nothing more than a little creativity, a stack of empty boxes, and humans who know exactly what makes their cats happy. Fancy cat trees are nice, but a handmade cardboard kingdom built by someone who loves them will always be fit for a king or meownarch.

That work email can wait another five meowments.

There are only two kinds of people at work: the ones who answer emails the second they come in, and the ones who read them, panic a little, close the inbox, and decide they'll deal with it after one quick break. Then another email comes in. And another. Before long, the inbox starts looking like it has kittens of its own, multiplying every time it's refreshed.

If cats had work email, nothing would ever get done. Every message would be answered with "Sent from my cardboard box." Meetings would be rescheduled because of an unexpected nap. Anything marked "urgent" would be acknowledged with a slow blink before getting ignored for the next six hours. Someone would hit "Reply All" just to ask where the treats are, and an orange cat would somehow delete the entire company calendar without meaning to.

Now go ahead and ignore that inbox for just a few more meowments. Nobody has ever regretted looking at cats before answering an email.

It seems that being the quiet type is no good

I've read this kind of story many times from different angles, but something seems to happen around the quiet workers, or the quiet team members in general. I think it gets especially difficult in places like work because there are many employees, and managers often can't keep track of everyone. The ones who get noticed are the ones who make themselves noticeable. That's just how things go, but what I like most about this story is that this manager is actively trying not to make the same mistake again, and commenters have a lot to say about it.

Some managers act like your resignation letter personally cheated on them, when really, you just filled out a form and moved on with your lifeWaiting seven months for a raise while getting told "we're working on it" is basically the corporate version of a doctor's office saying "the doctor will see you shortly" for two hours straight. Eventually, you stop believing anyone's coming and you just leave.

Why do sleeping cats always look more relaxed than we ever will?

I don't know how cats do it. Every time I see a sleeping cat, I immediately become aware of how tired I am. It doesn't matter if I just woke up after eight hours of sleep. If a cat is curled up in a sunbeam with its little paws tucked under its face, suddenly I feel like I haven't rested properly in years.

Cats have a special talent for making relaxation look effortless. They don't schedule it. They don't optimize it. They don't watch productivity videos about it. They simply find a comfortable spot and commit to doing absolutely nothing for the next several hours. Honestly, that's a level of confidence I can only admire.

My favorite thing about sleeping cats is how creative they get with their positions. Sometimes they look perfectly normal, curled up into a tiny furry cinnamon roll. Other times they're stretched across a couch at an angle that seems physically impossible. You'll see a cat sleeping with one paw in the air, half of its body hanging off the edge of a chair, and somehow it still looks completely comfortable.

I also love how contagious cat naps are. You can be having a perfectly productive day, crossing things off your to-do list, feeling accomplished, and then you spot a sleeping cat. Suddenly your couch starts looking a lot more inviting. The blanket you've ignored all morning begins calling your name. Your responsibilities can probably wait another twenty minutes, right?

Maybe that's why people love pictures of sleeping cats so much. They're peaceful, cozy, and completely unbothered by the chaos happening around them. In a world where everyone seems busy all the time, a sleeping cat is a tiny reminder that sometimes it's okay to slow down, get comfortable, and enjoy a well-deserved nap.

Whoever said that cats are not affectionate pets has never met a cat in their life.

As an I Can Has Cheezburger writer, it was practically part of the job description to own a furry feline of my own. I am lucky to have two - beautiful Coco and silly Awesome, and both silly cats are the most loving and affectionate creatures I have ever met in my entire life.

Not only are they loving, but they are also incredibly cuddly. They love pets, kisses, and hugs, and basically act offended whenever I'm around them and do not give them my full attention. In fact, as I am writing this, Awesome is currently sprawled in front of my laptop and making my job a lot more difficult than it should be. My keyboard is covered in orange cat hair, my nose is itchy, and I am forced to write with one hand because the other must be petting him (if I try to stop, he bites me in the elbow in protest.)

I love that orange fur ball more than anything in the world.

Every time I sit down to work and he follows and demands attention, I am filled with wonder at how anyone can say that cats are not affectionate pets. Who was it that decided to spread this blatant misinformation, and what did cats ever do to them? There is not a distant bone in my cat's body, and it's not even just towards me. Anyone who comes to visit is met with demands for cuddles and cat kisses. Even the repair guy who came to fix our AC last week had to sit down and pet both Awesome and Coco before he was even allowed to do his job.

I admit, sometimes it's annoying that it takes me twice as long to work whenever the cats are around, but I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. They give me the most pawdorable peace and make every day so much better, just like the hissterical cat memes below.
