This person has gone from working remote 100% of the time, to having their schedule flipped on its head. 

The office: it's where we spend 40 hours per week. For many people, this is an enviable job to have. It's temperature-controlled, quiet, and predictable. You don't have to be on your feet all day, and if you're lucky, you only have to deal with grouchy bosses instead of insane customers. 

But even people who appreciate their office job may prefer to work remotely rather than do a long commute each day. Because that really does transform your day: your 9-5 is basically a 7-7 when you factor in travel time, plus preparing your lunch for work and packing up all your belongings in your briefcase or backpack. 

Many an office worker now has a single item they require for their job, and that's a laptop. Laptops can be used almost anywhere, and many of them have really long battery lives now, too. You're stuck in an office next to Jeff from accounting, who's eating microwaved leftovers for lunch again, but really, you could be doing this same work from a beach, or from your living room. Sigh…

This worker is feeling that difference with clarity after being pushed into a return to office.

If you've been a fan of I Can Has Cheezburger for a while, you know how crazy we are for cats. We eat, sleep, and breathe cats. We don't mean that figuratively, our cats sleep all around us (including on our faces) every night, we breathe in probably 2 lbs. of cat hair every day. and now, thanks to our delicious research, now we eat them. Well, we eat foods that are in the purrfect shape of our precious feline friends. Now that we've opened this can of worms into the finest feline-shaped foods the world has to offer, any food that's not cat-shaped just doesn't taste as good.

Why eat a normal strawberry when you can eat a strawberry with cute little cat ears? Why would you settle for normal pancakes when you can have cute neko-pancakes ("neko" means cat in Japanese) with little cat confections sprawling out of the side? You just can't. Everything tastes bland to us now that we've expurrienced the fine flavors of food shaped like cats. Not only are they tasty, but they're cute to boot!

You can find most of these treats in Japan, because the Japanese love cats almost as much as we do, but some of these you can even make at home! Like the cat-shaped pizza, fur example, or even a chocolatey cat cake pop. If something savory is more to your liking, why not bake some matcha bread in a cat-shaped tin or cat dinner rolls with smiley kitty faces? 

We must warn you, though: once this snacking starts, it will be hard to stop. Not just because they're tasty, but because these sweet snacks contain the two things we love the most - cats and tasty treats. Don't blame us if you gain a bit of weight after tasting a few of these items below, but remember this one, impurrtant detail: your cat will love you no matter what you look like. And really, whose approval do you need besides your cat's? No one.

This woman's "friend" completely ghosts her right before a huge cross-country move, leaving her without a roommate.

You feed your cat so they'll stop hounding you, and go to make your meowrning coffee. Opening your phone to scroll through the same 3 apps you frequent and realize that you're just checking even though you know there's nothing new there. Just the same old influencers and celebrities living in their own worlds, and another shocking news headline that, frankly, isn't really that shocking anymore. You scroll through your Google Discover feed, and what do your tired, feline-loving eyes see?

Offering each and every one of us office dwellers the opportunity to add a little light and levity into our world with the help of four smol paws.

A man who designed a financial firewall to protect his daughter's college fund has discovered, to his great surprise, that firewalls work in both directions

Prenuptial financial agreements are a perfectly reasonable thing to set up in a second marriage. They protect everyone, they set clear expectations, and they prevent a lot of messy conversations down the road. The only catch is that they work both ways, and some people only figure that out when the agreement stops benefiting them.

These neighbors were more than just disruptive. They were quite literally destructive both to their own property and to the neighborhood as a whole.

It's hard not to empathize with this author and their spouse, who had been living in a quiet, residential neighborhood for over two decades without very much to complain about. In fact, they're the envy of most homeowners in that their residence is not a part of any HOA. Little did they know, however, not having an HOA actually became an issue when their new neighbors moved in next door.

With no one to rein these guys in, they ended up running amok. Now, the author is left with very little support or awareness of how to stop them.

It might only be the beginning of this working week, but cats know better than anyone that the beginning of something usually is the most stressful part of it. And so we consulted with our cat council and came to the conclusion that it would only be right to support the cat lovers of the world with a collection of smiling inspiring silly cat pics. 

That way, all the stressed out hoomans of this world would stand a chance of making it to the end of their working day without losing the will to keep going. So we stuffed this list of full confused cattos, fussy felines, sassy characters and classic catto behavior to light up your dopamine receptors, delivering a double dose of good mood food to your eyeballs. Now, all that is left to do is for you to kick back, relax and let these cute cats work their meowgic. 
 

To cats, gravity is more of a suggestion than a rule. They don't seem to be afraid of being suspended in the air and have questionable confidence in their ability to jump from your kitchen counter to your table. But they just do it and figure it out mid-air if they are going to make it or not. So if you are not sure how to start your week, perhaps today you need to jump and figure out your Monday on the way.

You might not be able to draw that line at all, knowing that doing so is going to potentially put you at odds with or in the line of fire from management 

And the longer we go acquiescing to something, the harder it becomes to redirect the course of things. As our managers create expectations for us in their minds and we meet them, we simply reaffirm their right to ask these things from us further in their minds. Each instance creates a chain of dots that creates an expectation and a norm, and suddenly, the occasional text being responded to on evenings and weekends is an expectation, and your entire life is spent glued to your phone or your computer.

You're in a pot, and the water's boiling, and you haven't a clue how you got there.

Is leaving work 15 minutes after your shift ends really enough to get fired on your very first day?

Starting a new internship is already stressful enough without suddenly discovering your employer expects you to basically remain emotionally available 24/7 for less than minimum wage. Most people spend their first day trying to look responsible, stay organized, and make a good impression. You stay a little longer than necessary, smile through the awkward introductions, and hope things settle down after the nerves wear off.

And then, apparently, one late-night phone call can end the entire job before you have even finished processing where the bathrooms are located.

One shared dorm fridge, one ridiculously expensive fine, and two college roommates suddenly debating whether spoiled food should be charged by quantity or by pure bad decision-making energy.

Sometimes you are just lucky enough to have the purrfect feline addition to your fur family turn up on your doorstep.

At least that is the case for the fur family in this story. We have to say that this is one of the greats when it comes to purrfect Cat Distribution Deliveries. Most CDS stories have their fair share of complications and heartwrenching moments, but this one is completely devoid of such sadness and instead is a smooth, simple and sweet transition from the cat being found waiting to be invited into the hooman's home, all the way to the cat falling asleep in their new pawrents' laps on the very first night they came into their furever home.

Our commentary on this story is going to be divided into two parts, because we have a lot to say about it. The first part will be the pawsitive take on it - she deserves at least that much. But, if you want to hear what we really think, scroll down for our true thoughts scattered throughout the article.

For now, though, it's time to give some flowers where they're due.

Khloé Kardashian has over 283 million Instagram followers and a similar amount on X, meaning that when she says something, around 500 million people hear it. She openly admitted that, by declawing her cats, she did something wrong and is actively advising others not to follow in her footsteps. This is the purrfect use of her platform, and we want to give her a round of appaws for not only taking responsibility for her mistake, but also making a PSA for every other cat owner purrhaps considering the same thing.

Here at I Can Has Cheezburger, we are very proactive about our anti-declawing stance. It's illegal in many parts of the world, and we will throw a big pawty when it's illegal everywhere. 

Now that that's over, let the shade begin.

The most absurd part of it all is that the potential homebuyers had no right to challenge the neighbor in the first place. Yet they still felt it was completely reasonable to draft a contract imposing conditions on their potential future neighbor and send it over for her to sign, so they could finally buy the house.

Like any property owner, this neighbor uses her driveway as part of her daily routine. Everything was pretty normal for her until a couple knocked on her door to ask her to stop using her own driveway so they could feel comfortable buying the house next door.

Would you take in 3 baby kittens even if you didn't have any space left in your house?

Cat lovers are truly unique in that, even if they can't fit any more cats in their homes, they will never turn down a cat in need. Even after you've said "no more cats" a hundred times, you'll always find space for a few more. It's impawssible for us not to, because if we don't, who will?

Millions of kittens are born every year, and only a fraction of them get adopted and live in our homes. The rest, if they are lucky, become neighborhood strays that are cared for by several families. The rest become feral cats and continue to increase the cat population because, if you didn't know, cats can have around 3 - 5 litters of kittens per year. Assuming each litter is around three kittens (and that's being very conservative), that's a minimum of 9 extra cats every year for every unfixed stray mama cat out there. Do you see how this became such a big problem in such a short amount of time?

But thanks to the wholesome heroes like this kitten rescuer below, there are 3 less kittens out there in the wild right now, and even if they can't keep them furrever, they'll certainly stay off the streets as long as they have anything to say about it. After seeing some tiny things moving in a plastic crate in 95-degree heat in front of some local kids, they went over to investigate. The kids were selling the kittens for $20 each. We can only hope that their parents aren't using their cat's kittens as a side business for a little extra cash.

They bought all of the kittens for a whopping $31, and brought them to their cool, air-conditioned house where they were given water and wet food. Now that spring is here, kitten season is upon us, and shelters are expected to be pawsitively packed to the brim with fresh cats and kittens. They know they will probably end up having to foster them, which will prove challenging due to already having two 8-year-old cats. But with kittens so cute, how could they pawssibly say no?

Pawning a watch to buy thirty pieces of vintage audio at auction is already a committed move. Getting home to a text asking if you would sell it all back is the kind of message that requires a very careful read of the word would.Turns out winning an auction fair and square only counts until the auctioneer checks their phone on the way to the parking lot.
Auctions exist precisely because they create clean transfers of ownership. You show up, you bid, you pay, you leave with the stuff. The entire point of the process is that once the hammer falls the transaction is done and everyone goes home. A text afterward asking if you would like to undo that transaction is not a legal mechanism. It is a social pressure test dressed up as a question.

One disappointed look from a cat can somehow make a human feel guilty for serving the wrong flavor.

Cats act like every meal should be a full gourmet dining experience. The second food gets placed in the bowl, they suddenly turn into tiny restaurant critics judging everything about it. Some cats sniff the food, stare at it with disappointment, and walk away like the chef failed them personally. Then ten minutes later they are trying to steal food directly off somebody's plate like little furry thieves.

Some cats also change their favorite foods constantly for absolutely no reason. One flavor is apparently the greatest thing they have ever tasted for a few days, and then suddenly it becomes completely unacceptable. Meanwhile the random food they aren't supposed to eat always becomes the most exciting option in the house.

The dramatic reactions are always hilarious too. Tiny angry meows, pacing around the bowl, and judgmental stares somehow turn dinner time into a whole performance. Some cats really act like they ordered a five-star seafood dinner and received the wrong entrée instead.

Meanwhile humans end up opening multiple cans and offering different flavors just to satisfy one picky little fluffball. Cats fully expect gourmet meals, immediate service, and the freedom to complain whenever the menu does not meet their standards. With the amount of cattitude some of them carry around, they believe they earned it too.
