22 Hissterical Memes of Dramatic Felines Turning Every Vet Appointment Into a Catastrophe
Cats know it's a vet trip before anything even happens. You touch the carrier and suddenly a cat who was asleep two seconds ago disappears. Under the bed, behind the couch, somewhere previously thought impossible. They become little escape artists the second they sense something is up. Very sus-purr-cious.
Then comes the betrayal phase. You're trying to help, but they act like you've personally ruined their life. The car ride becomes a full meownologue of complaints. Loud ones. Very passionate ones. By the time you get there, they've made it clear this was not approved.
At the vet, every cat handles it differently, but all of them act offended. Some go completely stiff like furry statues. Others turn into tiny chaos machines. The waiting room alone feels like a lot for them. Strange smells, strange animals, strangers touching them. It is, in their minds, a complete cat-astrophe.
Then you get home and the real judgment starts. They step out of the carrier and act like trust has been broken forever. Maybe you get ignored for a few hours. Maybe you get side-eye all night. They survive it and make sure you hear about it.
Employee returns from vacation, only to find the office in chaos after team changed her entire documentation system, she refuses to fix it: ‘The entire system is basically gutted’
Well, before you start changing up the system, think long and hard about what these changes might lead to, and if all these improvements are actually worth it.
The thing about changes is that even though they are often necessary, most people don't really like them. People often hate having to learn new things or new methods for the same work they have been doing for years. And even though you can probably save them a lot of time and effort with a little update to the system, it will probably take them a lot of time to accept it.
So, when someone new shows up at an office with ideas about how to make the work easier, should they act on it, or should they let it go and allow the team to do the job like they have been doing it so far, as ineffective as it may be?
'She’s been making slow but really encouraging progress': A shy adopted TNR cat went from cautious to cuddling up on the couch in a big trust breakthrough
Adopting a shy TNR cat can take a lot of patience, which is what makes this progress feel so big. This started with a cat that was cautious and likely kept her distance, and now she's accepting pets, playing, and choosing to stay close. Those aren't small changes. That's trust being built step by step.
The biggest moment has to be her sleeping next to a leg on the couch for hours. For a cat that started out wary, that says a lot. She didn't just tolerate being nearby, she chose it. That kind of closeness feels huge when it comes from a cat that had to learn people were safe.
What makes the story especially sweet is that the person adopting her is noticing every little win and being careful not to rush the next one. That patience is probably part of why she keeps opening up. It sounds like trust has been growing through little moments, and now those moments are turning into something bigger.
It also feels like she keeps showing a little more of herself as she gets comfortable. First pets, then play, now sofa naps pressed up next to her person. For a former TNR cat, that is real progress. She may still be shy, but she sounds like she's settling in and starting to feel at home.
Employer ghosts job candidate for 3 weeks after a successful final-round interview, accuses the candidate of "putting them in a bad position" when they accept another offer
There can be any number of reasons why a hiring process might be stalled out and why it might take longer than expected for the hiring team to get back to the candidate with feedback. Budgets shift, priorities change, and these, among any number of other reasons, can lead to roles being paused mid-process without warning.
If you're the hiring manager who has been told to freeze mid-process because of budget constraints or revisions, you might find yourself stuck between a vacant position and a no-spending place, as your team cries out for help with their mounting work and upper management hemms and haws about revenue targets and bottom line. It's also common for sheer indecisiveness between which candidate to choose to win out, or the sudden emergence of another good candidate, or a nepotistic shoulder-tap, to stall out an interview. And not wanting to share bad news, or no news, the hiring manager will opt for radio silence to their waiting candidates, which is quite possibly the worst thing.
41-year-old husband refuses to buy gas for 38-year-old wife, leaving her stranded in the middle of nowhere
Your first thought might be that of course, any good spouse should help out when their partner is in a pinch.
But for this 41-year-old, it's not that simple.
'She was not supposed to make it past a day when I found her': Tiny black kitten in the middle of the road calls out for help as cars drive over her, person finds her unmoving and terrified, and saves her life
We don't know how this kitten ended up in the middle of the road, paralyzed. We don't know what in her life led to this moment, why she stopped moving right there in the middle of the busy road. What we do know is that people weren't stopping. Endless cars saw her motionless on the road as they drove over her, and endles cars kept going. It would have taken one car not paying attention for this kitten's life to be cut short. One wrong move. But she was saved before that happened.
It took one kind person. This person ran into the middle of the busy to save this cat's life. Because they knew that all it would take is one wrong move by a single car, and they couldn't let that happen. After that, for a moment, it seems like everything was in vein, when the vet told them that she wouldn't make it a single day after they rescued her. But this kitten was a fighter, and now that she had someone to care for her, she had something to keep fighting for.
Tenant fed up after weeks of roommate’s disrespectful boyfriend leaving open, spoiled food in shared fridge, throws it away and faces backlash: ‘He treats it like his kitchen and expects me to clean it’
Living with a roommate is already a trust exercise, but add in a bonus boyfriend who basically lives there rent-free, and suddenly you're in a reality show you didn't sign up for. This guy wasn't just visiting: he was settling in. Showering, using dishes, occupying space… and most importantly, turning the shared fridge into his personal science experiment. We're not talking normal leftovers. We're talking open containers, leaking wing sauce, mystery smells, and food just… existing uncovered like it pays rent. Meanwhile, you're over here just trying to store your groceries without emotional damage.
After weeks of politely asking, reminding your roommate, and watching absolutely nothing change, you hit your limit. You even did a full fridge reset like a responsible adult, only for him to immediately drop an uncovered shrimp pasta in there like it was part of the decor. At that point, it's no longer food, it's a biohazard with a backstory. So yeah, into the trash it went. And suddenly you're the villain? Not the guy treating shared space like a dumping ground? Listen, if it's not sealed, labeled, or respected… It's simply not surviving. End of story.

College sends employee to mandatory retraining months before his retirement, falsely claiming he failed a phishing test he never took
Pregnant stray wanders into project car to birth her 4 kittens, couple elated at their luck to adopt 5 new friends: 'Thank you, Cat Distribution System!'
They initially thought they could leave all five cats in the car, but as the weather warmed up they realized it's too hot for newborn kittens. They slowly integrated the kittens into the garage to take care of them. Read the full story below.
22 Cutesy Kitties Covered in Purr-tastic Furr Patterns
Cats wear their beauty both inside and out. Their fur patterns parallel stereotypes about their personalities, and there's actually nothing wrong with that! There's no better or worse, prettier or uglier; it's an appreciation of the differences between them, and appreciating their cuteness regardless of anything. Cats wear their beauty in patterns that feel like art sometimes. No two coats of cats are ever exactly the same, even if there are two of the same breed. Each cat carries a design that's unique to them, like a fingerprint or a snowflake.
Orange cats are just like redheads…they're feisty, fiery, mischievous, and are not easy to be tamed. They are known for their brazen, bold behavior. Or what about black cats? Commonly, colloquially known as "void" cats, and in their ability to hide, shapeshift, and feels like an ever-present shadow in their coat, their personalities also feel like this shifting, hiding sentiment. What about tortie cats? Whose fur looks like a Picasso painting, and their personalities to match. Unpredictable, unique, and esoteric, these cats can't be pined down to one thing. And there are plenty of other cat breeds and fur patterns to talk about, but enjoy the collection below.
Entitled neighbor sues homeowner for $55k over a late-night parking light after getting previous about the same issue lawsuit dismissed
It's hard not to empathize with the homeowner's plight here. Not only were she and her spouse generous to their grumpy older neighbor, but it turns out they also went out of their way to let some of his shenanigans slide. If only that generosity were reciprocated by him. Instead, she got slapped with an emergency court hearing regarding his grievances about the brief seconds in which their parking light turns on late at night when they're backing into their driveway.
When the case failed to materialize (in fact, the judge was frustrated at the neighbor for even pursuing his cause), the neighbor was not satisfied. So, he hired a lawyer who for whatever reason was willing to support a $55,000 lawsuit for the same exact issue a judge had dismissed mere months prior.
Precious pregnant cat paw-picked the best possible human staff for her babies, and finally decides she’s ready to focus on her own retirement: 'After 5 long months, she got the all-clear from the vet.'
The answer to this age-old question is divided into two answers, which basically say the same thing: a pregnant cat has an insane drive to find safety, in ways that most of us don't even begin to understand. It's a meowgical instinct that's explained in these two parts:
First, there's the basic drive instilled by the Cat Distribution System in cats in need of a home. The CDS is a true mystery, but many people attest that the cat they seemingly "just found" was the perfect fit for them - in temperament, in time, and in availability. As if the cat adoption was staged and suited just for them. And this is why many cat pawrents who adopted their cats this way think it was all orchestrated by this mysterious body, entity, or whatever they are. It's like they install an "adopt me" software into a cat, and everything else sort of falls into place.
And then you have the Trojan Cat sub-genre of adoptions. It's not just a cat in need - it's a female cat who's about to turn into multiple cats very soon. And she needs a safe place to do it in. Enter: you. Or the person the CDS matched with her. But jokes aside, a pregnant cat really does have a meowgical instinct in her to birth in the safest environment she can has (Can Has, get it?). Most modern-day pregnant women don't even feel it, with our hospitals and advanced medical capabilities. But a pregnant cat on the streets? She has a very different story. So, why the name? Just like a Trojan Horse hiding soldiers in its belly, so can the Trojan Cat, just with more kittens and less warfare.
This one pregnant cat, Roxy, had it all in one package - and no, we're not talking only about her pregnancy. She had this whole adoption deal that includes her future kittens, sure, but also medical complications and hardships. But they all ended up with a happy ending, inside a happy and loving home.
21 Funny Foodie Felines Serving Chaos, Cravings, and Cattitude
When lunchtime comes, the office cats have their special ways of announcing, "My belly is hungry, hear me roar." Each cat has their own specialty, but it all comes down to the fact that these cats need food right about meow.
First of all, there's Nala. She's the calico queen, ruling the office kingdom from her pampered throne (a cat bed no one is allowed to wash that sits on top of an empty table that's only hers). When lunchtime arrives, she sits next to the fridge and gives an icy-cold stare to anybody walking by, saying, "You, feed me now, peasant." And we also have Parker, the new kitten that arrived here two months ago. He has absolutely no chill and will meow, paw, and claw at the nearest content editor until we give him food. And then there's Bongo. He's a complete chonk of considerable size, and expects an extra-large portion, like himself.
Some cat pawrents experience similar things when it comes to their cats and their feeding time. But what really amazes us is how all pawrents can relate to one another over the shared experience of cats and food. Every cat is special, but every cat has this unhinged relationship with food. And honestly? We're all here for it. In fact, we're going to the snack drawer to give a round of yummies to all the cats here, just because. It's going to be a very happy lunch.
Entitled Karen demands free banana for her kid at grocery store despite policy ending years ago, escalates to confronting entire staff and store manager: ‘She was fighting for a promotion that ended in 2021’
In real life, you don't expect someone to go full debate mode over a banana… but here we are. This wasn't just a quick misunderstanding at the grocery store, this was a full commitment to being wrong with confidence. She walked in ready to win an argument that literally no longer existed, doubling down harder every time someone calmly explained, "hey, that promo ended years ago." At some point it stops being about the fruit and starts being about the principle… a very incorrect principle.
And the best part? She escalated it like she was uncovering a corporate conspiracy, interrogating staff, tracking down the manager, and threatening a dramatic Facebook exposé over a single banana. Meanwhile, everyone else is just standing there like… ma'am, it's produce. In the end, she paid for the biggest banana she could find out of pure spite, which honestly just feels like the universe quietly winning. Some people learn lessons, others season them with stubbornness and walk away anyway.
College friend plans DC trip for group, gets treated like a third wheel and iced out after setting boundaries: ‘They’ve been hanging out without me’
Planning a group trip sounds fun in theory, but the moment a couple dynamic enters the chat, things can go from "cute itinerary" to "why am I the third wheel in my own plan?" real fast. You've got one person who actually organized everything, checked in, made reservations in their head like a responsible human… and then the others show up four hours late like it's a casual suggestion. At that point, it's not even about the schedule anymore: it's about the audacity. And somehow, you're expected to just roll with it as if nothing happened.
And then comes the classic twist: you calmly communicate like an adult, set very reasonable boundaries, and suddenly you're the problem. Not the lateness, not the couple taking over every plan, not the last-minute changes… no, no. The real issue is that you dared to say something. Next thing you know, you're being soft-launched out of the friend group, watching them hang out without you, like you imagined the whole thing. Honestly, it's less "AITA" and more "congrats, you discovered who respects your time and who doesn't." Painful? A little. Clarifying? Absolutely.
Remote employee calls out their disruptive roommate by matching their energy and taking loud work calls in the common area: ‘We agreed that we would use headphones’
Two remote employees moved in together as roommates, making a pact at the beginning of their lease to keep their meetings to themselves, reduce distractions on work days, and keep the house at least semi-professional during work hours. Everything seemed hunky dory at first, as both work-from-home roomies abided by their own space, but once one of the roommates decided she was tired of wearing headphones and keeping her work calls on the down-low, a feud started that transcended normal work drama.
Entering passive-aggressive post-it note territory, this work feud accelerated like a wildfire as the two remote employees spent every moment together every day. When disgruntled coworkers' bickering never gets a chance to cool off, you know, like in those precious moments between work days where you drive home, decompress, and relax in your own space, the workplace becomes more hostile than ever.
Townhouse owner refuses to renew lease for Mom of a 16-year-old, after she repeatedly calls them out on social media
Over 3 years, this Mom has been active on social media. So active, in fact, that it's now impacting her living situation!
While there aren't tons of Facebook users anymore, the ones who remain are very active, at least in my experience. The people I know who still use FB are posting motivational Snoopy memes 5 times a day, or ranting about how their on-and-off relationships are going, or posting constant photo dumps of their child's teeball games.
All of the other hundreds of FB friends I have? Crickets. They've all moved on to other social media platforms.
For a lot of folks, Facebook was the first social media they used, where they learned that everything you post on the internet is available for anyone to see. Classic internet lesson, you know? Don't write anything or share anything that you wouldn't want a future employer to see. So it's ironic that this woman seems to be breaking that rule all the time, and then making a shocked Pikachu face when her actions bring bad results.
In this woman's case, repeatedly tagging her own townhouse complex in posts had consequences! Who could've guessed?!
The longer you read through the story, the more ridiculous it gets…
Stray kitten trapped in wall given furever home after several attempts to free it result in success, ending the first of a multi-part cat rescue operation, cat dad says: ‘I originally intended to adopt from the Atlanta Humane Society.’
The Cat Distribution System works in many mysterious ways, that is no surprise to cat lovers at this point. What is surprising in this story is that the CDS did not support the idea that the person who they delivered a cat to would actually have any sort of support other than their friends. Which, sure we understand and appreciate the concept of working hard to earn the things you want in life. But when you have little to no experience in working with plasterboard and the construction of apartment complexes, you would think that the CDS would make an exception.
Either way that is how things went down in this story and before they knew it this trio of friends were feline hunting in their friend's apartment walls. In this round they managed to save the kitten who had originally gotten trapped in the wall. But in the next chapter of this story we will come to find that this trio of cat lovers ended up saving far more than just one wall kitten, so stay tuned.
24-year-old daughter saves money for a year and a half, parents act like it's the family's emergency fund, she refuses to play along: '[They] never asked me once'
I believe that if you earn the money, you own the money; therefore, you decide what to do with it. No matter the family relationship, no one should have access to or control over your money without your consent. That right shouldn't change. Overstepping that line is disregarding the work and effort it took to earn it.
