The cat distribution system said time for one more rescue.

Four cats through the cat distribution system and somehow another one shows up. This catto was pulled from inside a wall and named Oatmeal. A stray had kittens in an attic and two fell into the wall by a coworker's apartment. While the mother managed to retrieve one, the other was left behind crying until the coworker got him out. From there he got passed along and quickly upgraded from wall kitten to house kitten.

Oatmeal seems to have settled into the role immediately, especially once the wet food came out. After attacking a bowl of food for ten straight minutes, he's figured out that home is where the food is. But along with the cuteness comes the usual rescue scramble: figuring out how young he is, watching for health issues, setting up quarantine from the other cats, calling vets, monitoring litter box habits, and basically turning into a full-time kitten manager overnight.

It is hard not to like how much changed for him in a day or two. He went from stuck in a wall and crying for help to being fed, watched over, and fussed over. That is a pretty good turn for a tiny stray.

Oatmeal already sounds like he has the makings of a classic rescue success story. A rough start, a dramatic save, a huge appetite, and now a safe place to crash. Little man seems to have landed on his paws.

If being sleepy were a talent, cats would be overqualified. 

Cats will spend all morning doing almost nothing, get tired from that, and decide it's time for a recovery nap. Then they wake up, stretch for thirty seconds, and somehow need another nap. It's a schedule built entirely around rest, and honestly, they've got a point.

A sleepy cat will turn any spot into premium nap real estate. Laundry pile? Bed. Laptop keyboard? Bed. Freshly folded clothes you were about to put away? Luxury suite. They don't chase dreams, they chase deeper sleep. These little nap connoisseurs are out here treating every sunbeam like a reservation.

Took three steps to the food bowl? Exhausting. Watched a bird through the window? Time for a paws. Knocked a pen off the table? Better hit the meowtress. They move through life like they're one inconvenience away from calling it a day.

And the poses somehow make it even better. Curled into croissants, melted off the couch, face planted mid-doze like they powered down unexpectedly. Some cats don't look asleep, they look professionally committed to snoozing. If anyone understands the art of saying "just five more minutes" and turning it into two hours, it's cats. They're not lazy, they're purrfecting the nap game.

When you, the employee, are put in charge of booking your own travel for work, are you gonna take the route that is the cheapest or most convenient? 

If it weren't for the dang policies, I would definitely be booking with whatever is the most fun route in mind. Oh, a 20-hour layover in Bali? Yes please. But noooooope, the policies aren't meant for fun. They are meant to save the company money. And, like, fine, okay, that makes sense, but that's lame. Some companies seem to take it even further and will make your traveling even more painful over just a couple hundred extra bucks. This employee could have had him and his boss home by 1 pm, but unfortunately, that is not the policy. And that meant they didn't get home until after dinner time. Luckily, that gave the boss a front row seat to the epiphany of how bad the policy is, or should I say, coach seat?

There are few things in this world as tiny, as soft, and as disproportionately powerful as a kitty paw. 

Seriously, how can something the size of a coin have the emotional impact of a full-blown therapy session? And yet, here we are, scrolling through photos of fuzzy toe beans like it's our full-time job.

Kitty paws are nature's way of saying, "Hey, take a break. You deserve a little joy." Whether they're tucked politely under a loafed body, stretched dramatically mid-nap, or reaching out like they're about to boop your soul, these little marvels never miss. There's an art to the paw. The fluff-to-bean ratio. The gentle curl. The occasional surprise stretch that feels like a personal invitation to relax your entire life.

Setting the tone for a workplace culture and then penalizing people for living in it is a special kind of management failure

There is one thing that motivates us more than anything in our lives, and that is… our cats. We go to work for them. We're excited to come back to them. They are our main meowtivators. 

It is true. And you can call us crazy cat people for this, but our cats really do motivate us so much. And not because cats are cute and wholesome, and we want to make them happy. Not really. It's because cats have standards, and they enforce them with an iron paw. A cat will refuse to eat anything but the food that it likes, and if that food costs more, then you better work harder, human. It will sit there, lazing about on our couch that we bought and make sure that we, as its servants, are good enough.

Really, cats are inspirational in all kinds of facets of life. We would like to be a lot more like them. And that starts with consuming more of that meowtivation, especially if it comes in the form of silly cat memes. When we are not home, when our pawdorable kitties are not within reach, we must do what we have to to remain connected to the cat spirit. 

These parents will have to choose between their 2 daughters, one in her mid-20s, and one who just turned 18: who gets to live in the condo for free? 

Living at home for as long as possible is one of the best ways to save up money! If you get along with your family really well, this can be an incredible opportunity to basically pay 0 rent, except for maybe pitching in to pay for groceries or putting gas in the car. But for a lot of people, the mental toll simply isn't worth it. They want their own place, and they're willing to pay the price of getting out from their parent's watchful eyes. 

This kid truly has the best of both worlds! Her parents have given her a studio space in a condo. She doesn't pay any rent, and she has all the space to herself. Well… at least for now, she does. Because now her younger sister, age 18, has entered the equation, and it's throwing the whole family for a loop. 

No one can quite agree about what should be done here… 

Once a kid and a purrfect "raccoon" bond with one another, there is no way back. The parents must cave and adopt. 

Cats have a special bond with kids, we swear. They know, somehow, that these humans are different, that they are more fragile, that they require more patience. Sure, not every cat would be the purrfect babysitter, but a lot of them are. A lot of them see these tiny humans, and for some reason, bond with them faster and harder than any other human. 

Maybe it's the kids' innocence that they are attracted to. Maybe they understand that these tiny humans are more likely to adopt them than other humans. Because that is what seems to happen more often than not. The kids bring a kitten home, and the parents are left with no choice but to fall in love with said kitten. Today's story is another piece of proof of that. This kid didn't even know that he was bonding with a cat. He thought the kitty was a raccoon. And that raccoon stole his heart. And in the words of his mom: "He's since been corrected and pressured me into adopting it". She's not saying that grumpily either, she's just as in love with the kitty as her boy. 

Biscuit loved his time spent with the neighbor, going on walks two times a day and enjoying a staycation, but when Linda returned to her beloved pooch, she found just about any reason to criticize her neighbor's generous offer. 

This woman was pressed for dogsitting options with her surgery coming up, but then her neighbor stepped up and offered his own services for free to take care of her beloved little dog. Diligently, and on a daily basis, he would send photo updates and cute greetings from the dog to lift her spirits, hoping that this act of kindness and generosity would soften the blow of surgery recovery. 

However, when she returned, she came back and criticized the neighbor next door, blaming him for her dog's lethargic demeanor. According to the vet, any change in schedule can make a dog sleepy eepy, but she found it in her heart to blame and lecture the kindhearted man next door who went out of his way to help her out. 

Consider this the last time he will ever offer to help out. Nobody wants their generosity scrutinized. 

Obviously, if someone negligently cares for your pet or fails to follow instructions, that's one thing, but when Linda criticized the way this man held the leash while walking her dog, his irritation levels spiked immediately. Perhaps if she wants to be perfectly satisfied with her dog-boarding experience, she'll just have to hire a professional next time, forking out $200/day for live-in care. And she may have to because she has successfully alienated the one acquaintance willing to rearrange their entire life and schedule to accommodate her animal. How's that for entitlement? 

At least sweet, ol' Biscuit had a lovely time with his new neighbor buddy. Surely, the dog himself is happy with his care levels and would leave a 5-paw print review. Not every act of kindness goes unpunished, but when you're dealing with entitled neighbors, it's almost a guarantee. 

This Dad is being penalized for disappearing from work each day 

It might cost him his job. 

Strict bosses create over-stressed employees. 

Just ask this Dad, who's just trying to do the right thing for his daughter. 

However, he's also being quite stealthy about what he's doing each afternoon, and it's affecting both his team and his boss. 

And as a boss, you have to put the needs of your team ahead of your personal feelings about each worker. Right?

Divorce is hard on everyone - and that includes the cats. 

Adopting a cat together is, in theory, a really great and wholesome idea. A way to bond over something mutual. A "baby" to raise together. Lots of couples do it when they are in love and happy and everything seems great. And if everything works out, then perfect. The kitty has two loving pawrents instead of just one. But it doesn't always work out. Sometimes, breakups happen. And those breakups happen to the cats too. 

When you split up your family - and that is what you become when you adopt a cat together - you cannot split the cat between the two parents. It's not a child. It can't do weekends in one house and weekdays in the other. Cats need stability, and cat people generally understand that. So that raises the question - who gets to keep the cat? 

In every case like this that we have seen so far, there is always a custody battle. Both owners want the cat, both owners are bonded with the cat, and to an extent, even if the cat is bonded to one owner more than the other, it's still bonded to both of them. What we have never seen is a case like the one today. Despite being one of the friendliest, cuddliest, sweetest cats that we have ever seen, neither of his owners wanted him. This cat was actually abandoned after his owners divorced, and honestly, we don't get it. We don't understand why they would adopt a cat in the first place if neither of them really wanted him. It's a good thing that actual good people exist in this world. 

The woman who decided to rescue this cat saved his life. Because he was lost. He didn't understand why he was abandoned by everyone, why he was left alone to fend for himself. All he wanted was a hug. And this woman gave that to him and more. He is now in a home where he is actually loved, unlike where he was before. So maybe we should say thank you to his previous owners. He's in a much better home now.

Nothing short of a 150% raise, a corner office, and a four-day workweek would make these employees forget the tarnished image of their leadership team. 

Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, the uncompensated overtime hours, the extra effort, and the unrecognized skills make a fool out of me.

That is simply how the way things are at work. Even if employees absolutely love their boss, as rare as it may be, they still need a space to vent without the upper management knowing.

The buyer purchased a car from a financially struggling friend for $2,500, a premium and well above market price for the vehicle, which was intended as a "gift" and a helping hand to help her avoid foreclosure.
