Month old kitten rescued from freeway shoulder by driver who saw it running for its life, and after approval from the vet, is brought home to be an: ‘Adorable bunny soft feral demon kitten.’

LOL Cats - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 12:00
Being alert and aware of your surroundings while driving is imperative for your safety. But never has that alertness and awareness been tested with a kitten running alongside the highway before, until this story…

Ok, it was not a predetermined test, but you might argue that the Cat Distribution System set this one up to check the alertness and awareness of the cat loving drivers on this pawticular road. Either that or it was a test specifically for the hooman who actually saved the speedy kitten to see if she was responsible enough to care for such a cute creature. Luckily our heroine's reaction time was on point this day and within seconds she managed to react and secure the kitten safely. A move that would have been much harder for most hoomans than it was for her, but seeing as the CDS set this opportunity up specifically for her, you could argue that she had some help.

Either way one more kitten has been collected from these sorrow-filled streets we live in and given the kind of warm and loving home that it deserves.

Engineer complies with manager's insistence to never stay past 5:00 PM by pausing an imminent project at the end of the day: 'Greg had explicitly told me to leave even if the building was on fire'

Fail Blog - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 11:30
This guy's manager might have initially been worried about overtime, but now, he's worried about an entire project coming undone.

When a manager tells you to make sure you're leaving work on time, you might be thinking how great it is that your boss has your back and that he's concerned about your personal wellness. Seems like a great thing to be working with someone who seeks to ensure that their employees are taken care of and that they are establishing a healthy boundary between work and life.

However, it's important not to be too naive about your manager's intentions. In this scenario, the engineer who shared this story online discovered that his manager was not at all concerned with his ability to establish work-life boundaries. Instead, he was worried about having to pay people overtime, even though the engineer was salaried and willing to stay late under specific circumstances.

Keep scrolling below for the full story of what went down after the manager gave the engineer a stern "talking to" about occasionally staying late for work. Let's just say all it took for the manager to instantly regret his stance on this matter was a little compliance.

Clever mama-cat-to-be breaks into a hooman's home, surrounding herself with warmth, love, and safety just in time for three newborn kittens: ‘[She] set up shop under my bed’

LOL Cats - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 11:15
Smart mama cats don't wait for purrmission to come inside.

This mama-cat-to-be didn't wait for purrmission or a formal invitation to this hooman's home, she knew she needed a safe, warm place to give birth to her litter of kittens, but she didn't expect the love, compassion, and the overwhelming sense of belonging she felt when entering this person's house.

Feral cats, especially, are smarter than your average house cat.

Forced to be both a survivalist and a cunning predator, cats who have spent their entire lives outside are resourceful, clever, and remarkably resilient, embodying all of the traits in cats that every cat lover admires. Those are some hardy little animals! Considering the perils and the drama of the outside world, many cat lovers seek to bring every outdoor feline they see inside, because when you see such a precious animal out on the street, it's hard to resist the urge to give them a warm, plushy, loving home.

There are other times, however, when cats choose to come indoors without warning.

Welcome to the ranks of former strays, little kitty mama. Inside, you'll never be afraid, you'll never worry about food or water, and you'll always have a companion to cuddle when it's chilly or when you just want a head scratch. As a house cat, life is good. This mama cat learned quickly that once you set paw inside, it's tough to go back out again. Not because she doesn't want the freedom of the outdoors, but because now she has had a taste of what it feels like to be unconditionally loved, even if she is still a little skittish.

Guy accused of being a noisy neighbor gets landlord to look at footage that actually proves the complainer is the problem, gets him evicted: ‘My name was clear… My neighbor was evicted about a month later.’

Fail Blog - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 10:45
What do you do when you have a neighbor who doesn't like you?

It doesn't matter if you rent or own; when it comes to neighbor relations, that's up to you and the neighbor. The landlords can't really do much about that. Unless… Well, unless one of the neighbors is lying and pulling some shady moves that make all the other tenants upset. For instance, this apartment dweller was sending false complaints about all of his neighbors. Why? Unclear. But it didn't work because one neighbor asked the landlord to look at the security cameras to clear his name. He not only got his name cleared, but also several other neighbors. Eventually, the nosy, lying neighbor got evicted.

A Cookie Crumble of Internet Cat Memes for Chaotic Days That Need Some Softness

LOL Cats - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 10:30
Cookies and cats – what do they have in common? Read below to find out.

When we're children, the simple things are all we need. A hug, a sweet treat, and maybe a cat to pet and snuggle with. And when we're adults, everything changes. We may have more responsibilities and tasks, more at risk, and more to do, but it doesn't mean we have to lose our childhood whimsy. As adults we can still take pleasure in the little things, still be pacified by a simple gift like a cookie, or petting a cat. And therein lies the true bond between a cookie and a cat. They're both innocent, simple, and give us a type of pleasure that is irresistible.

A cookie, fresh from the oven, is a sensory experience all on its own. The warmth and gooiness of a soft, fresh from the oven cookie. It's satisfying and warms your soul more than your body's nutrient needs. Cats give a simple and relatable ease. They're living, breathing things and can curl up beside you, purr, and do a little kneading on you also. There's a quietness and safe atmosphere when you're around them. They don't rush you, nor does a cookie. There's a simple existence to them.

Overbearing landlord adds invasive monthly photo inspection rule, demands images of every room, zooms in to critique minor mess, leaving tenant feeling constantly monitored: ‘It feels like surveillance’

Fail Blog - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 10:00
When your landlord turns into your least favorite social media follower, but with rent involved

It started as a normal lease renewal and somehow turned into a monthly photoshoot nobody asked for. The tenant, who had been living peacefully for two years, suddenly found themselves required to document every corner of their apartment as if it were up for a real estate listing. Kitchen, bathroom, hallway, everything needed to be photographed and submitted through an app. Not just casually either, but with timestamps, like some kind of very unglamorous lifestyle influencer whose niche is "look, my sink is clean again."

What really pushes it into absurd territory is the level of scrutiny that follows. The landlord does not just receive the photos: he reviews them, zooms in, and sends feedback like a very intense judge on a show nobody signed up for. A slightly used stovetop becomes a "potential issue," and suddenly a normal evening of cooking pasta turns into a documented offense. It creates this strange dynamic where the tenant feels less like a renter and more like someone constantly being evaluated.

Now the whole situation has gone from annoying to genuinely stressful. Instead of feeling at home, the tenant is left wondering what will be flagged next. The question is no longer about keeping the place in good condition: it is about where the line is between reasonable property care and straight-up overreach. And judging by the reactions from others, a lot of people are agreeing that this feels less like maintenance and more like a very unwanted reality show.

Abandoned itty bitty kitty turns husband and wife from dog people to cat people with her cuteness, changing their entire purrspective on pets: '[She] is now a happy and healthy 1-year-old cat'

LOL Cats - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 09:45
People who say that they "don't like cats" are people who have never actually given cats a fair chance.

Cats get a bad rep. Every cat person knows this. It's just that we, actual self-proclaimed cat connoisseurs, care enough to check if those rumors are correct. Of course, they are not. Cats are not aloof, uncaring creatures. Cats are not mean. Cats love their humans very much, even if their way of showing it is not what you instinctively expect. Cats and dogs are different, that's true, but one is not a better pet than the other.

For people who claim that they are "not cat people", it's just a matter of meeting the right cat. Not all of them will. Not all of them are deemed worthy by the CDS. Some haters will remain haters, and quite frankly, it is their loss. More cats for us to adopt. But some of them will be deemed worthy. Some people who "hate cats" will get adopted by a cat, and they will have their entire worldview about cats shattered. Because cats are pawsome pets. This couple is proof of that. Once upon a time, they were "dog people", and now, they have not one, but two kitties living in their home.

65-year-old financial advisor tells young workers to buy a pressure washer, then learn coding: 'The most Boomer to ever Boomer'

Fail Blog - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 08:15
The generational divide is causing a lot of misunderstandings about how the world works… but at least this time around, it's really, really funny

There are some things that Gen Xers, Baby Boomers, and the Silent Generation got to experience, that the younger generations won't. For instance: Owning a home. Retiring before age 95. Having a financial advisor. Having enough money to warrant having a financial advisor! These are all things that everyone under like, 40 years old will probably never get to experience, and yes, it does bother us that the older generations had a way easier path through life than we are right now.

It's times like these when all you can do is laugh, because if you didn't, you'd cry.

And that's exactly what happened online recently when a 65-year-old financial advisor gave some of the funniest modern money-making advice I've ever heard, and I implore you, please watch this clip.

'While I have made a little progress, I am still very timid around people': Person finds out formerly feral cat has been stuck in a shelter for over 2 years because she's scared of people, decides to give her a chance, and finds out she's purrfect

LOL Cats - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 08:00
Few people give timid cats a chance, but those who do are always happy that they did.

Cats who have previously been strays are not always the simplest cats. And that is fair. They have a history, they have stories to tell, they have lived a whole life - with difficulties of their own - that you know nothing about. These timid cats who are afraid of humans are generally afraid of them for a reason. Not every human is a cat person, as difficult as they may be for people like us to understand, and while most of those people don't care about cats, some of them are actively terrible to them.

Still, winning a timid cat's love is something so, so worth it. Getting a cat to trust you, to see - in you - that not all humans are terrible, is worth every bit of effort. Maybe their love wouldn't come as quickly as that of another cat. And maybe these cats will show their love in ways that are a little different. In the end, it will all be worth it. All these cats need is a chance, and once you earn their love, they will love you just as hard, if not harder, than any other cat.

Couple running a fully legal, town-approved home business keeps getting reported by their neighbor over ten-minute lumber drops and deliveries that the town calls completely normal

Fail Blog - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 07:30
A couple who helped their neighbor move an 800-pound fountain piece and made her lost cat flyers is now being repeatedly reported to the town over a ten-minute lumber delivery. Not cool lady!

Rockstar stray with a “mohawk” meows his way into a family’s home, only for the online cat community to reveal that his unique markings are actually a rare genetic phenomenon: ‘I guess he's officially our cat.’

LOL Cats - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 07:15
Cats never cease to surprise us.

Even after millennia of cats living side by side with us (as they graciously permit us to), even after years upon years of sharing amazing stories online of cats from all over the world (just as the online feline family does best), after decades of scientific research into cats (because they're that interesting) - cats seem to still hold so many suprises up their paws, and we are constantly amazed by every new discovery we make. No wonder we love cats so much - they always keep us on the edge of our seats.

So imagine you care for a stray cat outside your home, and you're mesmerized by how unique and beautiful his fur patterns are. He's such a rockstar cat, he even has a "mohawk". So you do all the work to bring him inside, and once you do, you inform the community online, only for them to inform you back - dear family, you've got a very special boy there, with a rare type of fur! Very exciting, right?

Indeed, very exciting. This is what happened with Lenny, the street cat with a long, almost grueling adoption story (told below in full) - but the family who cared for him never gave up on the little guy. Because, like all cat people, they know - all cats deserve a home. Whether they're the plainest of colors, or unique just like him - his fur genetics explained by kind people who were mesmerized by his added pictures. Truly, such a handsome cat.

Company downsizes and leaves 49-year-old employee of 13-years jobless, 6 months later a friend gets him a salaried job, leaving him wondering if some nepotism is okay: ‘That’s called community.’

Fail Blog - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 06:45
In the current job market, you gotta take what you can get…

So what is the difference between nepotism and networking? Just because you are friends with someone you are networking with does not mean it is nepotism. Can you do the job? Are you qualified? Are you looking for a job and they looking to hire? Okay, then you were networking, and the universe just made it easier. Just like you made it easier for that company to find a solid employee. It's really not all that serious. Nepotism is when somebody's uncle hires their unqualified nephew, and they actually have no idea how to do the job, but still prance around the office, barking orders. Meanwhile, someone else who is extremely qualified gets skipped over.

A Sleepy Scroll of 21 Cat Memes for Tired Folks With Snuggly Felines

LOL Cats - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 06:30
Cats are the pawfessional nappers of the animal world, and that's a feline fact.

Some would argue that the title for the best sleeper in the animal kingdom should go to another animal. There are burly bears, who hibernate between 3-8 months in winter - that's such a long sleep, we're surprised they need any other sleeping time after they wake from hibernating. There are also bats - did you know they sleep 18-20 hours a day, while they're hung upside down like mice curtains? That's talent. Koalas are also great condedants for the tired crown, sleeping even more than 20 hours a day. You see, the eucalyptus leaves they eat are so low in energy (and mildly toxic) that koalas conserve power by… doing absolutely nothing most of the time.

But then you have cats. Cats don't hibernate, but Olympic napping is probably the sport they'll always win gold in. Cats nap pawfessionally, and they do it anywhere: on their humans, on the couch, in cardboard boxes, on your pillow, and in every nook and cranny you don't even know a cat could fit in. And they do it in a respectable 12-16 hours a day. If that's not what professional napping looks like, we don't know what is.

Besides, if you're a cat pawrent, we're pretty sure you're already reading these very words with a cat on your lap, sleeping, of course. Moreover, if you're a cat pawrent, you already know your cat is the best sleeper in the house. It doesn't matter how many of your family members sleep very well each night, or if you have other pets - the cat always wins the gold medal of best sleeping creature.

'The cat distribution system brought me a momma cat and five babies': One abandoned stray showed up at the door and turned a new apartment into a kitten nursery overnight

LOL Cats - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 05:45
One meow at the patio door turned into six cats.

A young pregnant cat abandoned by a previous tenant started showing up at a new apartment, begging to be let in. Since there was already a cat in the home, she was given a shelter in the patio closet, some kitten food, and a safe place to stay. Then, just over a week after moving in, she gave birth there to five kittens. Not bad for what started as helping out a stray.

Then came the vet visit, and thankfully everyone got a clean bill of health. Momma cat, now Arya, is doing well, the kittens are growing, and the whole family was able to move indoors. What started in a patio closet has turned into a full little nursery set up in the guest bathroom while the babies grow.

A cat that had been abandoned now has a name, a safe home, food, medical care, and people fussing over her and her kittens. The image of tracking kitten weights one week into knowing them says a lot. These little guys are clearly in good hands.

And Arya seems to know it too. Going from meowing at a patio door to slow blinking at the people caring for her babies is a pretty sweet turn. Someone went looking for one cat and ended up with a mom and five kittens instead. Feels like the cat distribution system really outdid itself on this one.

Front desk agent stops assisting ungrateful coworker, Eric, until hotel manager takes note of Eric's incompetence: '[He] kept taking credit for closing tasks'

Fail Blog - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 05:00
What is the point of helping a coworker out once you learn that they will never return the favor?

Being a decent coworker does require embracing selfless acts in the workplace. Whether it's as minor as lending a computer charger or as significant as staying late to proofread someone else's work, coworkers should, within reason, develop a habit of helping one another out. This goes in both directions. One day you might be the person in the position to assist someone else, but you may very well need that same person's help down the road.

Unfortunately for this front desk agent at a local hotel, her coworker, Eric, was not really too great at reciprocating this kind of selfless behavior at work. However, that backfired spectacularly when his ingratitude ended up coming back to haunt him in the presence of their manager.

23 Purrecious Pictures of Purrfect Cat Cuddle Puddles to Curl Up With

LOL Cats - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 04:00
Nothing says peak coziness like a full-blown cat cuddle puddle.

Cuddle puddles are what happen when cats forget they're supposed to act aloof. All that independence disappears the second a good snuggle pile forms. Suddenly it's tails wrapped together, paws thrown over shoulders, and multiple cats somehow sharing one bed made for half of one cat.

The best part is how excessive it gets. Two cats cuddling is sweet. Five cats stacked in a furry heap looks like a sleepover got out of hand. Someone is always using another cat as a pillow. Someone is half falling off the pile. Somehow everyone seems comfortable anyway.

Cat cuddle piles also have a way of looking both chaotic and completely peaceful. It's a tangle of ears, whiskers, and mystery limbs where nobody seems interested in personal space. The cats are packed in so tightly they look vacuum sealed. It feels less like cuddling and more like a community event.

Cuddle puddles make cats look extra lovable. The same animals knocking things off shelves and sprinting through the house at midnight are suddenly curled up in one giant fluffy friendship knot. Just a full-on purr pile of mutual affection. Hard not to melt a little looking at that much concentrated cat content.

Meet Garfi, the 17-year-old Persian feline holding the title for "World's Angriest Cat" who is secretly a sweetheart

LOL Cats - Thu, 04/30/2026 - 03:15
You know what they say: don't judge a cat by their angry expression (or something like that).

There have been many internet-famous cats over the years that will go down in the history books furrever and ever. The most famous is probably "Grumpy Cat", AKA Tardar Sauce, who became an internet sensation overnight for her purrmanently grumpy face. There are hundreds of cat memes about her, maybe even thousands, and she truly changed the cat meme world with her purrfect presence.

Then, you have Smudge, the cat famous for the "woman yelling at cat" memes, as well as the coughing cat meme. Nyan Cat, the meowgical flying rainbow cat, is one we won't soon furget, and if you're too young to know how Nyan Cat is, then look them up this very instant. We don't like to give out homework, but for some topics, it's crucial for your continuation in life.

And now, we have Garfi, the senior Persian feline who holds the title for the "World's Angriest Cat". But, Garfi has a secret that you would never guess: he's actually a sweetheart. Sure, he's still a cat and lives by his own rules, but he loves his family and his bark is definitely worse than his bite.

Don't judge Garfi by his furrious expression, that's just how he was born. He loves the attention, so make sure you scroll all the way to the end to let him know he did a job well done by taking all of these purrfectly cute pictures!

18-year-old Daughter bans her Mother from her graduation following 8 years of her Mother favoring her 18-year-old Stepsister after remarrying: 'I told my mom it hurt my feelings'

Fail Blog - Wed, 04/29/2026 - 19:25
When was the last time you put my needs first? Sometimes that's the question we all need to find ourselves asking in one-sided relationships.

It always hurts to think that you might not be as important to somebody as they are to you.

It is always hard when the importance that you have placed isn't being returned in kind. And it creates this imbalance where you go out of your way for them, but they don't do the same for you in return. You always end up with this bad feeling after these interactions play out, but you tend to internalize it by either blaming yourself for not setting a clear expectation or thinking that there must otherwise be something wrong with you that leads this to keep happening.

And this can go on for a long time before you realize that they just don't care about you or consider you on the same level as them. And whether it's a partner, parent, family member, or friend, you're forced to confront some extremely uncomfortable truths. Do you simply hope things change? Do you confront them about it and share the way that you feel? Or do you simply step back and set boundaries to save yourself from future disappointment?

‘[He] has taught longer than I have been alive. I am a first-year teacher. Trying to survive’: First-year teacher gets blocked trying to enter her classroom by a veteran colleague upset about classroom noise

Fail Blog - Wed, 04/29/2026 - 16:15
A veteran teacher with decades of experience and apparently very strong opinions about hallway noise decided the best way to handle a disagreement with a first-year colleague was to block her door, put his foot on hers, and follow her down the hallway. With great power, it seems, comes not so great responsibility, not to mention personality

24 Melting Kitties Defying Space and Physics

LOL Cats - Wed, 04/29/2026 - 16:00
Bones are overrated anyway.

Somewhere along the evolutionary timeline, cats made a decision. Not about hunting, or territory, or survival, but about structure. Specifically, they decided they didn't want any. While the rest of the animal kingdom was busy developing skeletons and respecting gravity, cats were quietly opting out of the whole arrangement.

What you're about to witness is not a glitch. It's not bad photography or unusual angles. It's a lifestyle. A philosophy. A fully conscious rejection of the physical laws that govern literally every other living thing on this planet. A windowsill the width of a pencil? Prime real estate. The inside of a salad bowl three sizes too small? Five-star accommodations. The edge of a staircase at a 90-degree angle? Ideal. Preferred, even.
