Mon, 04/27/2026 - 05:45
Another Monday is about to start on the right paw - with a bunch of pawsome cat tweets.

Here we are again, at the start of the most difficult day of the week. Getting out of bed is hard. The thought of going to work is daunting. The idea of leaving our cats behind for hours makes our hearts hurt. But we have to do it. Someone has to provide our spoiled, spoiled kitties with the goods that they require, and that means going to work. Still, another five minutes in bed have never hurt anyone, right? And if you spend those five minutes productively, scrolling through some pawsome cat memes, then that is even better.

And the memes that we have for you today are not your regular cat memes. Every single week, first thing on Monday morning, we bring you the best of the best that cat twitter has to offer. The most viral cat tweets in one single place for you to enjoy, without all the fodder that is usually surrounds them. Because starting Monday on the right paw is not actually that difficult if you know what you are looking for, and everything that you are looking for is right here.

23 Hissterical Cat Memes fur Hoomans Having a Heck of a Hard Morning

Mon, 04/27/2026 - 04:00
Sometimes the trash bag splits open the second you touch it, and today is one of those days. But as any good cat pawrent will tell you, spilled trash almost always be cleaned up by eager cattos. And so here they are in hilarious meme form.

Ok, we might have exaggerated a bit there about cats coming to eat trash, they are not dogs after all. Maybe a feral feline will feel comfortable going to eat fallen trash, but a fine house feline would not dare dirty their whiskers over a pile of trash. Regardless, these hilarious cattos have come into your life for one reason and one reason only, to support your stressed out soul and clean up the mess of morning madness that has piled up in there.

We know the feeling of landing in the office only to find that you have touched down just passed the gates of hades and have no way to get back. But these funny feline memes ought to cool the deep burn of Lucifer's backyard and help you get through the rest of your day without scratching someone like a sassy cat. So go forth and find your funnies amongst this collection of cat children

THE UPDATE: Stray wall kitten’s fur family trapped and rescued from feral life and given furever home with rescuer’s cat loving friend, and wall kitten gifted adopted void sibling, cat dad says: ‘They started sleeping together after the first week’

Mon, 04/27/2026 - 03:15
If you wondered what happened to the kitten who was rescued from its in-wall hiding spot, then strap in for a wild ride of feline frivolity.

It was a tense start to this story, having our feline protagonist stuck in a wall. But once he was freed from his wall captivity it gave his new pawrent time to try and rescue the rest of the kitten's family. A task that proved to be a fair bit more tricky than was initially anticipated which momentarily made our heroic hooman lose hope that he would ever manage to reunite this feline family. This led him to make an interesting decision in order to try and keep his wall kitten company.

For while the kitten's family would have made the best company, with them unavailable, this hooman went out and adopted a beautiful void to come and be this kitten's sibling. And much to our satisfaction the pair got on like a house on fire. Which gave our rescuer the time needed to slowly coax the rest of this kitten's family into the safety of captivity and onwards to foster homes that would love and care for them the way they deserved.

23 Positive Cat Memes to Meowplify a Cat Lover's Happiness (April 26, 2026)

Sun, 04/26/2026 - 13:45
Kittens may meownipulate human cat lovers 100x their sizes, but it's with their shining eyes, flickering worm tails, and tiny pink noses that they're able to make us (arguably the most dangerous apex creature on the planet) bow to their every whim.

It's not as if kittens mean to take over our hearts and minds with cat hypnosis intentionally; there's no ill will in those tiny bones.

Cats just have a natural supurriority over the other creatures of the world because they believe, as all cat lovers can agree, that they're the best creatures on earth. Pint-sized cuteness paired with mega mighty mews makes for an undeniably wonderful animal indeed. Can dogs boast of the same grace and dignity? Can birds catch a lizard and leave it on your porch for you? Can a hamster demand kibble gravy on every meal of the day, despite protests from the vet about their growing weight? No, but a cat can.

As proud as they are adorable, kittens carry the burden of the knowledge that generations of kitties were worshiped like deities long before they came along. With this in mind, a;; cats must do everything in their power to live up to their dignified, lordly, and fatally cute predecessors.

Farmer's black barn cat births litter of kittens in chicken coop, now her babies are being raised by the most doting and feathery "Aunties"

Sun, 04/26/2026 - 12:00
When you're a single pawrent, you don't say no to free help, even if they're a bunch of feather-brained friends!

Over here at I Can Has Cheezburger?, we're working hard to dispel the myth that cats are cold and aloof all the time. Every single feline we've met has been one of the friendliest creatures we've had the pleasure of spending time with, and we believe they're just as friendly as dogs. Some of them just take a little longer to warm up to you than others. And if cats can make friends with hoomans, and in our video below, even chickens, then we're pretty sure they're not as detached as most people believe them to be.

Think about it, cats and chickens should be meowrtal enemies. One is the hunter, the other is prey. And yet, this farmer's black cat gave birth to an adorable litter of kittens in the chicken coop, and her hen friends are helping co-pawrent her babies. You could call them their loving "Aunties", which we think is just too cute. All squished together in the chicken coop, the hens take turns watching the kittens as they begin to learn about the world around them, and momma cat gets to take an extra nap or two.

It just goes to beg the question - if cats and chickens can get along, why can't we?

32 Wholesome "Not My Cat" Encounters When a Surprise Little Meow Found Feline Fans and Stayed Fur Good

Sun, 04/26/2026 - 11:15
Cats have a mind of their own, especially the ones you don't even know are yours yet.

Felines are known for being master meownipulators and convincing other families that they're poor, sad stray cats that need their love, even when they have a purrfectly good family back home. At one point, we discovered that one of our cats (who would always find a way to sneak out no matter how much we tried to keep her in) had three other families who took care of her. What a greedy kitty!

It's not just hissterical house cats who purrticipate in the "not my cat" phenomenon. Street cats will often decide that they're living in your house, sneak in, charm you until you decide to adopt them, and then all of a sudden, you have a pet cat. These "not my cats" are the sneakiest, but also the cutest. They come in, purr, love on you, sleep on the edge of your bed, and slowly, you fall in love with them. They knew you were going to adopt them before you did. Below, you'll find a bunch of wholesome "not my cat" encounters when a surprise little meow found a feline fan and stayed fur good. They're purrfectly silly, pawsitively mischievous, and 100% cat.

22 Hissterical Memes of Dramatic Felines Turning Every Vet Appointment Into a Catastrophe

Sun, 04/26/2026 - 10:30
Cats treat every vet visit like a personal betrayal.

Cats know it's a vet trip before anything even happens. You touch the carrier and suddenly a cat who was asleep two seconds ago disappears. Under the bed, behind the couch, somewhere previously thought impossible. They become little escape artists the second they sense something is up. Very sus-purr-cious.

Then comes the betrayal phase. You're trying to help, but they act like you've personally ruined their life. The car ride becomes a full meownologue of complaints. Loud ones. Very passionate ones. By the time you get there, they've made it clear this was not approved.

At the vet, every cat handles it differently, but all of them act offended. Some go completely stiff like furry statues. Others turn into tiny chaos machines. The waiting room alone feels like a lot for them. Strange smells, strange animals, strangers touching them. It is, in their minds, a complete cat-astrophe.

Then you get home and the real judgment starts. They step out of the carrier and act like trust has been broken forever. Maybe you get ignored for a few hours. Maybe you get side-eye all night. They survive it and make sure you hear about it.

'She’s been making slow but really encouraging progress': A shy adopted TNR cat went from cautious to cuddling up on the couch in a big trust breakthrough

Sun, 04/26/2026 - 09:45
Every little win with a former TNR cat feels huge.

Adopting a shy TNR cat can take a lot of patience, which is what makes this progress feel so big. This started with a cat that was cautious and likely kept her distance, and now she's accepting pets, playing, and choosing to stay close. Those aren't small changes. That's trust being built step by step.

The biggest moment has to be her sleeping next to a leg on the couch for hours. For a cat that started out wary, that says a lot. She didn't just tolerate being nearby, she chose it. That kind of closeness feels huge when it comes from a cat that had to learn people were safe.

What makes the story especially sweet is that the person adopting her is noticing every little win and being careful not to rush the next one. That patience is probably part of why she keeps opening up. It sounds like trust has been growing through little moments, and now those moments are turning into something bigger.

It also feels like she keeps showing a little more of herself as she gets comfortable. First pets, then play, now sofa naps pressed up next to her person. For a former TNR cat, that is real progress. She may still be shy, but she sounds like she's settling in and starting to feel at home.

'She was not supposed to make it past a day when I found her': Tiny black kitten in the middle of the road calls out for help as cars drive over her, person finds her unmoving and terrified, and saves her life

Sun, 04/26/2026 - 08:00
Sometimes, all it takes is one good person to change an animal's whole life.

We don't know how this kitten ended up in the middle of the road, paralyzed. We don't know what in her life led to this moment, why she stopped moving right there in the middle of the busy road. What we do know is that people weren't stopping. Endless cars saw her motionless on the road as they drove over her, and endles cars kept going. It would have taken one car not paying attention for this kitten's life to be cut short. One wrong move. But she was saved before that happened.

It took one kind person. This person ran into the middle of the busy to save this cat's life. Because they knew that all it would take is one wrong move by a single car, and they couldn't let that happen. After that, for a moment, it seems like everything was in vein, when the vet told them that she wouldn't make it a single day after they rescued her. But this kitten was a fighter, and now that she had someone to care for her, she had something to keep fighting for.

Pregnant stray wanders into project car to birth her 4 kittens, couple elated at their luck to adopt 5 new friends: 'Thank you, Cat Distribution System!'

Sun, 04/26/2026 - 06:30
They wanted cats for a long time, and haven't had luck by the CDS before now. But one pregnant stray has quickly turned into five fantastic feline friends!

They initially thought they could leave all five cats in the car, but as the weather warmed up they realized it's too hot for newborn kittens. They slowly integrated the kittens into the garage to take care of them. Read the full story below.

22 Cutesy Kitties Covered in Purr-tastic Furr Patterns

Sun, 04/26/2026 - 05:45
A cat's fur says a lot about their personality, so that's why we've collected all types of fur patterned fur-babies for your Sunday scrolling needs.

Cats wear their beauty both inside and out. Their fur patterns parallel stereotypes about their personalities, and there's actually nothing wrong with that! There's no better or worse, prettier or uglier; it's an appreciation of the differences between them, and appreciating their cuteness regardless of anything. Cats wear their beauty in patterns that feel like art sometimes. No two coats of cats are ever exactly the same, even if there are two of the same breed. Each cat carries a design that's unique to them, like a fingerprint or a snowflake.

Orange cats are just like redheads…they're feisty, fiery, mischievous, and are not easy to be tamed. They are known for their brazen, bold behavior. Or what about black cats? Commonly, colloquially known as "void" cats, and in their ability to hide, shapeshift, and feels like an ever-present shadow in their coat, their personalities also feel like this shifting, hiding sentiment. What about tortie cats? Whose fur looks like a Picasso painting, and their personalities to match. Unpredictable, unique, and esoteric, these cats can't be pined down to one thing. And there are plenty of other cat breeds and fur patterns to talk about, but enjoy the collection below.

Precious pregnant cat paw-picked the best possible human staff for her babies, and finally decides she’s ready to focus on her own retirement: 'After 5 long months, she got the all-clear from the vet.'

Sun, 04/26/2026 - 04:00
What's the mystery behind pregnant cats knowing exactly where to turn to for help with delivery, nursing, and the general care she will need?

The answer to this age-old question is divided into two answers, which basically say the same thing: a pregnant cat has an insane drive to find safety, in ways that most of us don't even begin to understand. It's a meowgical instinct that's explained in these two parts:

First, there's the basic drive instilled by the Cat Distribution System in cats in need of a home. The CDS is a true mystery, but many people attest that the cat they seemingly "just found" was the perfect fit for them - in temperament, in time, and in availability. As if the cat adoption was staged and suited just for them. And this is why many cat pawrents who adopted their cats this way think it was all orchestrated by this mysterious body, entity, or whatever they are. It's like they install an "adopt me" software into a cat, and everything else sort of falls into place.

And then you have the Trojan Cat sub-genre of adoptions. It's not just a cat in need - it's a female cat who's about to turn into multiple cats very soon. And she needs a safe place to do it in. Enter: you. Or the person the CDS matched with her. But jokes aside, a pregnant cat really does have a meowgical instinct in her to birth in the safest environment she can has (Can Has, get it?). Most modern-day pregnant women don't even feel it, with our hospitals and advanced medical capabilities. But a pregnant cat on the streets? She has a very different story. So, why the name? Just like a Trojan Horse hiding soldiers in its belly, so can the Trojan Cat, just with more kittens and less warfare.

This one pregnant cat, Roxy, had it all in one package - and no, we're not talking only about her pregnancy. She had this whole adoption deal that includes her future kittens, sure, but also medical complications and hardships. But they all ended up with a happy ending, inside a happy and loving home.

21 Funny Foodie Felines Serving Chaos, Cravings, and Cattitude

Sun, 04/26/2026 - 03:15
The relationship of cats with food is diabolical. It's unhinged, chaotic, messy, and loud. But we understand cats - food is tasty, food is comforting, food is friend.

When lunchtime comes, the office cats have their special ways of announcing, "My belly is hungry, hear me roar." Each cat has their own specialty, but it all comes down to the fact that these cats need food right about meow.

First of all, there's Nala. She's the calico queen, ruling the office kingdom from her pampered throne (a cat bed no one is allowed to wash that sits on top of an empty table that's only hers). When lunchtime arrives, she sits next to the fridge and gives an icy-cold stare to anybody walking by, saying, "You, feed me now, peasant." And we also have Parker, the new kitten that arrived here two months ago. He has absolutely no chill and will meow, paw, and claw at the nearest content editor until we give him food. And then there's Bongo. He's a complete chonk of considerable size, and expects an extra-large portion, like himself.

Some cat pawrents experience similar things when it comes to their cats and their feeding time. But what really amazes us is how all pawrents can relate to one another over the shared experience of cats and food. Every cat is special, but every cat has this unhinged relationship with food. And honestly? We're all here for it. In fact, we're going to the snack drawer to give a round of yummies to all the cats here, just because. It's going to be a very happy lunch.

Stray kitten trapped in wall given furever home after several attempts to free it result in success, ending the first of a multi-part cat rescue operation, cat dad says: ‘I originally intended to adopt from the Atlanta Humane Society.’

Sat, 04/25/2026 - 12:00
Kittens are found in all sorts of curious places, but none are more curious than the space between an apartment's plasterboard and its exterior wall as happened in this story.

The Cat Distribution System works in many mysterious ways, that is no surprise to cat lovers at this point. What is surprising in this story is that the CDS did not support the idea that the person who they delivered a cat to would actually have any sort of support other than their friends. Which, sure we understand and appreciate the concept of working hard to earn the things you want in life. But when you have little to no experience in working with plasterboard and the construction of apartment complexes, you would think that the CDS would make an exception.

Either way that is how things went down in this story and before they knew it this trio of friends were feline hunting in their friend's apartment walls. In this round they managed to save the kitten who had originally gotten trapped in the wall. But in the next chapter of this story we will come to find that this trio of cat lovers ended up saving far more than just one wall kitten, so stay tuned.

22 Wholesome Cats for a Softer Day on the Internet (April 24th, 2026)

Sat, 04/25/2026 - 11:15
A gentle reminder that everything feels better with a cat nearby.

There's something about cats that instantly softens the mood, like they carry a quiet kind of comfort wherever they go. Whether they're curled up in a sunbeam or blinking slowly as they understand you, they make even the busiest days feel a little slower and a lot more manageable.

Some cats are playful little chaos gremlins, sure, but even that comes with a kind of sweetness that's hard to explain. The tiny zoomies, the soft paw taps, the way they investigate everything like it's brand new. It's all part of their charm, and somehow it never stops being endearing.

Then there are the cuddle moments. The unexpected head bumps, the gentle purring, the way they settle next to you like they've decided you're their safe place. It's quiet, simple, and incredibly comforting in a way that doesn't need words or explanations.

In a world that can feel a bit too loud sometimes, cats offer a softer alternative. They don't rush, they don't overcomplicate, they just exist in their own calm rhythm. And for a moment, you get to join them there, where everything feels just a little bit lighter

20 Funny Memes of Cats Who Play with Everything but Their Toys

Sat, 04/25/2026 - 10:30
The best cat toy is never the one you bought.

Cats can have a pile of actual toys and still decide the real fun is everything else. You bring home a brand new toy, maybe something fancy with feathers or bells, and they go straight for the box it came in. That's the main event. The toy itself barely gets a glance.

Paper is a favorite too. A crinkly receipt, a random wrapper, even just a piece of cardboard on the floor suddenly becomes the most impurrtant thing in the room. They'll bat it around, chase it, lose it, find it again, all like it was planned.

There's no logic to it. You can spend money on the nicest toys, and they'll pick the one thing that cost nothing. A stray string, a bottle cap, something you didn't even notice. That's the toy now.

They go all in too. Full focus, full energy, like this random object is the greatest thing they've ever seen. You just sit there watching like okay, guess we're doing this. The actual toys are still there, untouched, waiting their turn. They'll get to them eventually… maybe.

'I have been waiting to be found for so long': After waiting to be chosen by the CDS, this person finally got a delivery when a crying stray ran up and chose them

Sat, 04/25/2026 - 09:45

This cat didn't just show up quietly, he made sure to be noticed. He came running down the street, crying loudly, and ducked under a worker's van right in front of the house. He stayed there, wailing until someone came over to check on him. There was cat food inside, so he was given a meal, and that small moment quickly turned into something much bigger.

A visit to the vet confirmed he didn't have a microchip, and no one responded to neighborhood posts. It became clear that no one was coming to claim him. He wasn't just temporarily lost, he had been out there on his own and needed someone to step in.

This was exactly what had been hoped for, a cat showing up and making the choice on his own. After waiting a long time for something like that to happen naturally, it finally did, and there wasn't much hesitation about what to do next.

He settled in quickly once he was inside. He stays close, looks for attention, and already acts like he belongs there. He's affectionate, relaxed, and completely comfortable in his new space. There are still three dogs for him to adjust to, which may take some time, but it seems manageable. He's already handled a big change and appears to be taking everything in stride.

22 Uplifting Memes of Wholesome Felines Filling Your Feed with Feel-Good Vibes

Sat, 04/25/2026 - 08:00
The easiest way to start the weekend is cat memes.

Wholesome cat memes are the perfect way to kick off a slow, easy weekend. You open your phone thinking you'll scroll for a minute and end up staying a little longer without even noticing. It's quiet, low effort, and just feels good to look at. No chaos, no stress, just cats doing their thing.

They don't need much to work. A relaxed little loaf, a stretch, a cat just sitting there looking content. That's enough. No thinking, just scrolling. It's the purrfect way to ease into the weekend. You're not trying to be purrductive, you're just there for the vibe.

It also turns into a full scroll before you realize it. One turns into a few, then a few more. You tell yourself last one and then keep going anyway. It's not even on purpose, it just happens. You're just sitting there, fully committed to the moment.

There's something nice about how simple it is. No big setup, no overthinking, just cats being soft and easy to watch. It's the kind of thing you can keep coming back to without getting tired of it.

It's simple, it's soft, and it hits every time. A few wholesome cats and the weekend's already off to a good start.

Kind person rescues unique-looking stray 4-year-old cat from a feral colony that was bullying him, and barely 24 hours later, he's already a love bug: 'He’s already starting to become affectionate'

Sat, 04/25/2026 - 07:15
We're kind of used to our cats being snippy with us… but did you know that stray cats do it to other cats as well?

We say this only half-jokingly. We're used to our cats "bullying" us. We're used to our cats stomping across our chests in the middle of the night. We're used to them stealing food off our plates. We're used to them following us to the bathroom, tearing into our groceries, sitting on our freshly dried laundry and bothering us during Zoom calls, showing their booties to each and every person we work with. We're used to it to the point that we actually love it. It's part of who they are. It's part of what makes them purrfect.

We imagine other cats are not quite as tolernt of this behavior. Stray cats who get bullied by other cats probably don't find it… cute, like we do. Their lives, as cats who have been shunned from the group, are full of challenges that every other stray cats don't have. Cats may like their space, but they are not solitary. They need the group, the affection, the care. And if other cats are not willing to give it… then maybe we humans can step in.
