Dumpster kitten who was accidentally left behind after all her siblings were rescued spots her chosen human, runs right up to them and gets herself adopted: 'She was skinny, shivering, and SCREAMING'

Fri, 11/28/2025 - 06:00

Something that we always tell people when they rescue a kitten from the streets is to stop and look for others. Sometimes, kittens may wander off on their own into the world, and maybe that lonely one is the one that you will find. But more often than not, kittens run in groups, especially at such young ages. And when you rescue one kitten, there is a good chance that there might be another nearby. Look for more. Look carefully. Otherwise, things like this might happen.

This kitten's whole family was rescued, and she… was somehow missed. This little one probably wandered off on her own, went back, and suddenly couldn't find her siblings. Thankfully, the result for this kitty was a pawsitive one. She decided that she prefers not to live alone, that it's time to get adopted, so she chose her humans, did what she needed to do, and found herself a home. We hope every kitten's story ends like this one, but just in case it does not, go and have another look, make sure to not leave anyone behind.

My spine was in Bangles.

28 Funniest Feline Memes to Get You Warmed Up for the Weekend

Fri, 11/28/2025 - 01:00

We love our cats during every season; when it's hot outside, when it's cold, and any time in between. But, if you were to twist our arms, we might admit that we love our cats the most during the winter.

You see, when winter comes, a few changes embark upon our cats that simply make them purrfect–first, the cuddles. The chilly air makes our cats want to cuddle with us in bed and never leave. They go under the covers, they sit on top of our cold feet, and they warm us up better than any heater or blanket.

The second change actually relates to our cats' appearances. During the summer, our cats shed… a lot. They are hot, and they don't need all that fur, so that fur ends up as hairballs on the floor, next to our pillows, and in our food. But in the winter, that fur is necessary, so our cats hold on to every hair of it. That is why they become these majestic, beautiful fluff balls that we simply cannot ignore. We can pet them all day long and never get tired of it.

We can also scroll through these hissterical cat memes all day long, make sure you do the same!

31 Warm n' Fuzzy Memes for Cat Lovers Who Would Rather Spend the Holidays With Their Chosen Family (the Cat)

Thu, 11/27/2025 - 20:00

Friendly felines don't argue about politics over turkey supper; cats beg for a slice of the dark meat and purr on your lap after you chow down on some pumpkin pie.

Let's be honest, the best part about the holidays is the meowment you get to hang out with the family cat again. Sure, visiting family members and enjoying a homemade meal is pleasant, but nothing tops a cuddle session with a kitty who loves you more and more every time you visit. The family cat (ie, the feline living at your family member's house and not your own) is one of the main critters that helps us get through the holiday season.

This year, don't forget to feel immense gratitude wash over you in honor of your adorable feline, because without their whisker kisses, flickering tails, and winter-warming cuddle sessions, what would we do? Cherish the one living creature in the house that would never hide the remote control and would never question your career choices. Salute your favorite cat.

(not so) patiently waiting

'It’s almost like she fell from the sky': A cold, hungry kitten appears from nowhere and lands in the arms of the perfect person to rescue and adopt her

Thu, 11/27/2025 - 17:00

After more than 15 years working in the veterinary field, this rescuer has saved countless animals, but nothing compares to the night a kitten seemed to appear out of nowhere. Returning home around 10 p.m., they were closing the gate to their rural property when a faint sound interrupted the quiet. Turning around, they found a tiny kitten running toward them, meowing loudly and seemingly falling straight into their life. Cold, soaked from the weather, and immediately trusting, she practically leapt into their arms.

With no homes nearby, no car lights, and no sign of anyone else around, the situation felt almost magical. How did she end up there? Was she abandoned along the road? Or, did a mysterious kitten-delivering stork drop her off at just the right moment?

Regardless of how she arrived, one thing quickly became clear: this little cat landed in the purrfect place. Now warm, safe, and adored, she has become one of the sweetest, softest companions her rescuer has ever known. It's a reminder that sometimes the best pets find us, not the other way around and they arrive exactly when we need them most.

21 Cat Memes Giving Thanks for Turkey, Treats, and Tummy Rubs

Thu, 11/27/2025 - 16:00

Thanksgiving might be about family, gratitude, and sharing a meal, but if you have a cat, you already know it's mostly about defending the food. The second a turkey comes out of the oven, cats appear from thin air like tiny, furry kitchen inspectors. They'll sniff the air dramatically, sit exactly where you need to stand, and stare at the bird like they're preparing a heist. While they don't technically help cook, they do provide emotional supervision by meowing loudly whenever you chop something edible.

During dinner, cats act like they've never eaten a single meal in their life. They'll politely sit by your chair, blink sweetly, maybe tap your leg with a paw… and when that doesn't work, they upgrade to parkour-level table climbing. But after all the begging, plotting, and turkey worship, they usually end up passed out under a table like the rest of us after too much food.

Still, Thanksgiving with a cat is something special. They remind us to slow down, sneak an extra treat, and enjoy the warmth of a full house. Even if they're just thankful for turkey scraps

'I spent nearly 2 hours laying in the rain on my neighbor's driveway': Hooman risks it all to save meowing cat from the rain and cold, claims it's all worth it

Thu, 11/27/2025 - 15:00

Stories like these really get us. There's nothing we love more than a wholesome hooman doing the right thing in a situation where they could have just gone on their merry way. In this story, the narrator claims that they can hear meowing outside for hours. At first, they assume that it's just an irresponsible neighbor who left their cat outside. Once the meowing stops, the person assumes that their owner let the cat in. But then, it starts to rain and howl, the meows pick back up again, and the hooman starts worrying. She goes outside in the cold and rain to locate the cat, try to get it to come to her so she can save it.

She lays under her neighbor's truck for hours in the wet, her husband texting her to come inside already and forget about the cat, but she persists. She doesn't stop until the cat comes up to her and she can take it inside. She makes an appointment for the vet, and says it was all worth the pain and rain to save this little kitty. The heartfelt magic behind the story is unlike so many other stories. The holiday spirit really does exist!

30 Happy Cats to Bring a Smile to Your Meowful Morning

Thu, 11/27/2025 - 14:00

Good morning, cat lovers. We all know the pain and pleasure of waking up in the morning. We're probably waking up for work, which is the painful part. But we're also waking up to our precious kitties. Our cats give us life energy. I mean, who doesn't love those morning meows and pressing of paws on our faces while we're trying desperately to continue our dream in the arms of sleep?

Let's face it – cats don't care about your alarm clock. Their cutesy little meows in the morning are the alarm clock. Their tiny internal clock says "zoomies at 6:03 AM," and by the sacred laws of the universe, you must follow in command. They'll meow, scratch, purr, flop right on top of your chest, or gently (yet persistently) bat your eyelids like they're trying to power you on.

Through their internal chaos, we still think they're endearing. That little loaf demanding food is also reminding you that you are loved, needed, and absolutely owned. So you drag yourself out of bed, feed the furry overlord, and suddenly the world feels a little softer. Because starting your morning with a meow is basically caffeine for the soul.

Thu, 11/27/2025 - 13:00

Cat children are the light of our lives, there is no denying that. And when we gift our only cat children with a brother or sister, well, things get a whole lot cuter. Because much like hooman children, and heck, even much more so than hooman children, feline siblings understand each other in a way that we hoomans simply cannot. After all, that pesky species barrier does stand between us, whether or not we believe that we biologically birthed out cat children.

So for all of you who might be still on their way to adopt their first cat child, and those of you who are considering getting a second, we made this list of cute cat siblings growing up together to show you just how heartwarming and wholesome having a feline family within your family can be. So kick back and do your best to get to the end of the list before rushing to contact your local rescue to adopt yourself a catto, after all it is a big decision that should not be made rashly, especially not when you have heaps of pawdorable pawsitivity pumping through your veins.

‘She just kept crying, leading me around the kitchen/living room.’: Hero cat child saves whole house from burning down by awwdorably alerting her owner to the fiery danger before it was too late

Thu, 11/27/2025 - 12:00

Cat children, you can't live with them, and you cannot trust them not to play with knobs that they have no idea what they were made to do. At least that is the case for the protagonist pawrent in this story who had to find out the hard way that even though you might not use an oven as an oven and as a storage unit instead. That does not mean that your cat child is not susceptible to turn on said oven out of sheer curiosity and keen interest.

Though, much to the good fortune of this feline pawrent, their cat child ended up owning up to their transgressions and alerting their pawrent to the potentially devastating situation that was unfolding before it was too late. So at least everyone involved could come away with some lessons learned, even if it was a little expensive to learn said lessons.

'Cats really know how to steal hearts - and beds': Sweet stories of stray cats invading people's homes and adopting themselves in

Thu, 11/27/2025 - 10:00

Look, we're not saying we're happy to know some people's houses are broken into. When a burglar breaks into your home, your sanctuary, it's an insane level of privacy invasion, let alone the physical damage from stolen goods. But we can't say that we're sad when the said burglars are cats. Yes, they might invade your most private place, and they might've stolen some of your food - but cats are the only burglars you forgive, forget, and invite them again for another round. And another. And another, until you officially adopt them. It's hard saying "No" to the floofy feline you suddenly find in your home -  their cute face and constant neediness are downright pawdorable.

Cats being home burglars is just their nature, and the Cat Distribution System utilizes that fact in every opportunity it gets. It sends these cats right into their forever homes, without even asking the hoomans first. Not that the CDS asks any person in advance, but some of their adoption matches are way more subtle. But not these ones. When a cat waltzes into your home like they own the place, you know the CDS made a decision you can't refuse, can't deliberate, can't think about. You just accept the obvious fact - this cat lives here now.

A Long List 45+ Purrfect Pictures of Cats Being Nature's Glitchiest and Silliest Creation

Thu, 11/27/2025 - 09:00

Dogs are more or less predictable - they always want to try new things, smell new smells, play with other dogs, chew on stuff, eat, and sleep. But cats? The only predictable thing about cats is that they are pawsitively unpredictable. Sure, cats love to sleep and eat, but guessing what they'll do besides those two things is like finding a needle in a haystack - impawssible. You might come home to find them stuck inside your bathroom cabinet, or find out that they've somehow managed to open the tupperware full of cookies and take a bite out of every one. On extremely glitchy days, you might even come home to find them chilling in the fridge (pun intended).

But this is also the reason why we love our little glitchy and silly kitties - they keep our lives, well, purrfectly interesting. Their curiosity knows no bounds, and we never get tired of seeing what they'll come up with next. That's not entirely true; we do get tired of them nomming on our hair every time we try a new shampoo. But other than that, we love to watch their glitchy little brains work.

You may be a cat pawrent like us, or just a cat connoisseur, but either way, you're going to get a hilarious kick out of these purrfect pictures of cats being nature's glitchiest and silliest creation below. They're cutely chaotic and 100% full of feline fun!

'Acorn saved these babies, but it seems like they saved her a little bit too': Litter of day-old kittens left at animal shelter struggling to survive, but post-partum rescue cat 'Acorn' adopts them without a paws of hesitation

Thu, 11/27/2025 - 08:00

Neonatal kittens are pawsitively challenging to care for. They need around-the-clock care for anything from frequent feeding to stimulation to help them go to the bathroom. It's exhausting without a mother cat. So when a litter of day-old kittens was left at this animal shelter, the employees weren't sure all of them would make it. All of their neonatal foster families were full, and they didn't have the resources needed to properly care for them. But, with a purrfeclty amazing twist of feline fate, 'Acorn' was brought to them as well. Acorn was post-partum, but without kittens. It was a match made in heaven.

After introducing Acorn to the litter, she immediately pounced into action. She adopted these babies as her own, cleaning them, caring for them, and feeding them without a paws of hesitation. She needed a reason to keep living just as much as these kittens needed her to care for them. They ended up saving each other, and this just warms our little hearts a million times over.

Now that the kittens are older, Acorn has retired from meowtherhood, and they're all looking for their furrever homes. We think it's time Acorn gets treated like the awwdorable baby she is, but inside, we know she is a hero.

'I heard a faint meow in the distance': Kind Goodwill shopper spends hours rescuing a terrified unique bobtail kitten that was all along hiding in a drain pipe, eventually catching her and giving her the life she deserves

Thu, 11/27/2025 - 07:00

Life for stray cats is difficult as it is. Dealing with weather changes, with humans, with other animals, looking for food and shelter all the time - that is difficult enough. Imagine the same thing for a kitten though. A tiny adorable kitten who is just starting to discover the world. The rate of survival for stray kitties is unfortunately not particularly high. But for a beautiful kitten, for a striking, unique kitten that stands out in the world like the one in this story, the chances would have been much, much lower, if she had no been found in time.

A white bobtail kitten, that is what this kind person found in a drain pipe near Goodwill. The kitten was terrified, and animal services refused to help because the kitten wasn't stuck, she was just scared. But the rescuer knew, the same way that we know, that this kitten had to be rescued, that there's no telling how much longer she would have survived out there all on her own without help. So, they spent hours, sitting there, trying their best to get the kitten to trust them long enough to bring the kitten home

'I’m so glad this baby is getting justice': Woman discovers kitten double-bagged in the trash, police find perpetrator's name in the garbage, and the criminal is arrested with justice served

Thu, 11/27/2025 - 06:00

So often, here at ICHC, we find ourselves coming across stories of people doing the worst things to cats. Of course, we try to focus on the positives - on the kitties that are rescued, all the sweet cats who get given a second chance. But it does happen, we do see the stories of people abandoning cats in need, of people throwing kittens on the streets to fend for themselves, and much worse. And as much as we celebrate the rescues, we can't say that there isn't a little part of us that wishes there was more, that wishes the culprits, the wrongdoers, the criminals would be found as well.

Today, we have a story where that actually happened. A kitten was found double-bagged in the trash. It was the middle of the night. Had the kitten been found in the morning, there is a good chance she wouldn't have made it. But she was found, she was rescued and adopted by the rescuer, and on top of all of that, the criminal was actually found and brought to justice.

Putting words in your mouth.

21 Cute Cat Memes for Those in Need of Some Furry Purry Feline Comedy This Thanksgiving (November 27, 2025)

Thu, 11/27/2025 - 01:00

First and furmost: Happy Thanksgiving from the I Can Has family! We hoomans are too busy eating mashed potatoes and stuffing, but our felines are just waiting for the purrfect time to snag a piece of lean turkey from the table when we're too preoccupied with catching up with extended family and friends. Even though you might not be seeing this until after the holiday is over, just know that these hissterical furry purry vibes are not exclusive to the Thanksgiving holiday! Every day is a day to bask in the cheer that feline funnies bring to the table, and what better place to find them than on the original cat website of the last 2 decades?!

What are you thankful for, cat parents near and far? Sure, we usually think about the roof over our heads, the people we have in our lives, and of course, the delicious fare we have sitting on our respective tables. But if you look below the table, you'll find the little creature you're thankful for most… And, if they could speak, they'd probably tell you the same thing.

As much as the holiday warrants gratefulness, remember to show everyone you love that energy every single day. Yep—that means extra Churus for the furry fellas from hereon until Christmas!
