Upstairs neighbors allow their new dog to play throughout the night, keeping downstairs neighbor awake, internet helps them form a strongly worded letter: 'So we can all live peacefully!'

Fail Blog - Sat, 03/14/2026 - 06:00
Living in an apartment often means learning how to coexist with the sounds of other people's lives. But when those sounds start happening in the middle of the night, things can get tricky. One exhausted renter decided to write a polite letter to their upstairs neighbors about the noise their dog was making, and asked Reddit if the message sounded fair before sending it.

18-year-old barista gets fired after accidentally texting the entire work chat about his manager

Fail Blog - Sat, 03/14/2026 - 05:00
Who else has had the excruciating experience of accidentally sending a text in which you are complaining about a particular person to that very person?

Most of us have experienced this with friends or family members, but this college freshman, who had recently landed a side hustle as a barista at his university's local coffee shop, unfortunately, had this happen in a workplace environment.

Yes, the person he was complaining about also just so happened to be his boss, and the group chat he thought he was sending his message to was actually a wider group chat that included, you guessed it, the boss in question.

29-year-old woman refuses to trim roommate’s cats’ nails for free after working as a pet groomer, internet backs her up: 'Groomers charge more!’

Fail Blog - Sat, 03/14/2026 - 02:00
When you work in a profession that requires skill, patience, and experience, people sometimes assume they can get that service for free. One pet groomer found herself in that exact situation when her roommate expected complimentary cat nail trims just because they lived together. What seemed like a small favor quickly turned into a question of boundaries and respecting someone's work. After refusing to provide the service for free, the internet overwhelmingly sided with her, pointing out that professional grooming exists for a reason.

'This little kitten was found in the parking lot': Stray kitten rescued from a workplace parking lot gets adopted, nursed back to health, and settles into a loving home with furry siblings

LOL Cats - Fri, 03/13/2026 - 15:00
A new job came with an unexpected little coworker.

About three weeks into this hooman's new job, a tiny kitten was found in the parking lot outside the workplace. He was in pretty rough shape. Covered in fleas, looking sick, and clearly far too small to be on his own. People searched around to see if there was a mother nearby, but there was no sign of one anywhere.

This purrson didn't plan to take them home. He already had two dogs and two cats waiting at home, which is already a busy house. But the kitten seemed to have other ideas. At one point he climbed right up onto a shoulder and curled up like he had already decided where he belonged. After that, saying no became a lot harder.

The little guy needed some help to get back on his paws. A few vet visits, some medicine, and a little time spent recovering with a grandmother gave him the chance to get healthy again. Slowly but surely he started feeling better and gaining strength.

Now he's settled into his new home and doing great. He lives alongside his new furry siblings, gets plenty of attention, and enjoys the comfort of a safe place to sleep. What started as a sick little kitten in a parking lot turned into a happy cat with a full house of furiends.

20 Meowvelous Memes of Culinary Cats Cooking Up Chaos in the Kitchen

LOL Cats - Fri, 03/13/2026 - 14:00
The second a cat enters the kitchen, it's officially the head chef.

The kitchen becomes a very serious place the moment a cat decides it's time to cook. One second you're preparing food, the next there's a whiskered little chef on the counter staring at the ingredients like dinner is now under new meownagement. No recipe, no apron, just pure feline confidence. Clearly this cat believes it's about to whip up something truly purrfessional.

A culinary cat has a very unique cooking style. First step is inspection. Every bowl, spoon, and ingredient must be thoroughly sniffed. A paw might tap the cutting board just to make sure things are proceeding correctly. Something rolls across the counter? Perfect. That's now part of the recipe. In the mind of a kitchen cat, chaos is simply creative cooking.

Of course, culinary cats also take their role as head chef very seriously. They sit nearby supervising the entire process like tiny restaurant managers. Stirring, chopping, mixing, all of it gets carefully watched. If the hooman seems confused, the cat is ready to step in with a helpful paw.

Even if nothing actually gets cooked, a cat standing proudly in the kitchen always looks like it's moments away from launching its own cooking show. Whiskers twitching, paws ready, eyes locked on the counter. The world may not be ready for feline cuisine, but the chef certainly is.

10+ Neighbors who never returned expensive items

Fail Blog - Fri, 03/13/2026 - 14:00
Don't lend anything to your neighbors if you're not prepared to lose it forever.

It's a lesson that most of us learn the hard way. After all, we want to assume that our neighbors are good people. A lot of us get along with our neighbors pretty well. So when the guy next door asks to borrow your lawn mower, you agree — what's the worst that could happen?

Well, some people get kind of weird about returning borrowed items. They'll keep putting off giving it back to you, which just makes you even more suspicious of them. Or they accidentally damage it, which makes them really reticent to return it to you. Instead, they might just pepper you with excuses, hoping you'll eventually forget.

Six months apart and one mile away good human finds two cats to adopt, a calico and a grey fluffer, and they all couldn't be happier

LOL Cats - Fri, 03/13/2026 - 13:00
When the cat distribution system gives you two cats, you know you have to take them.

Two is better than one, as they say! So one is a beautiful calico that he found first. Her name is Ginkgo, and she's 3-years-old. He was walking home from work one night and saw a kitty, he approached her, hoping she'd let him pet her. She was so small and young at the time, and the sweetest thing ever. Suddenly, a woman comes out of a house right there and just asks if he wants to adopt her! She said that the stray was abandoned with a sibling next to a nearby school. She had been feeding her but couldn't take her in, and the sibling got adopted. She even let him borrow a cat carrier to take her home!

Then six months later, something similar happens. He was walking home and saw a cat, and he of course also tried to pet it. She didn't let him though, she was a proper feral. And again, a guy comes out of his house and asks if he wanted to adopt the cat. But this little kitty was pregnant, so he let her have her litter first. They waited 6-8 weeks, and then she had her litter, and that meant he could take a kitten, which he did. He claims this little grey cat is happy, beefy, and muscular. Wealthy Young Woman Shares Stories About Her Huge ‘Unhinged’ Family, from a Groom Running Off With the Bride’s Brother to a Toothpaste Ad Gone Wrong

Fail Blog - Fri, 03/13/2026 - 13:00
This neighborhood thought they lived on a quiet, wealthy street — until one family turned it into a full-blown sitcom.

Sometimes the biggest houses also hold the biggest chaos. And when twelve relatives live under one roof, things are bound to get a little… unpredictable.
This family's stories prove that no matter how fancy the street is, every household has its own brand of madness.

CDS dumpster cat claims cat lover’s apartment as her home after multiple visits, pets and food convinced the stray, cat mom says: ‘She acted right at home--alternating between rubbing herself all over my things and coming back to make biscuits in my lap’

LOL Cats - Fri, 03/13/2026 - 12:00
You might have thought that when the CDS delivers a cat to someone, both the cat and the person submit to the CDS's will immediately. But as you'll come to find in this story, sometimes it takes a few inspection visits to make sure that the environment is fit for the incoming feline.

Sure, it is not a story we hear often. Most stray and street cats are so grateful to be coming off the streets that they simply accept whatever conditions are put before them, say thank you and live happily ever after. But it does stand to reason that there would eventually be a Cat Distribution System catto who would choose to be picky about the home they have had chosen for them.

After all, cats are amongst the pickiest creatures on the planet. And so we are left with this situation in which a cat who had lived most of their life by and inside a dumpster, carefully checking to see if the home they were offered was going to be up to their standards. Who knows, maybe they were checking to see that the comforts of their dumpster could be found in their new home…

Homeowner "absolutely shocked" by construction firm that cut down 2 backyard trees without warning

Fail Blog - Fri, 03/13/2026 - 12:00
This California resident was utterly stunned to find that a construction crew had transformed their backyard without asking. Some trees require pruning every now and then to keep them healthy, and if they're blocking power lines, they'll get trimmed a lot. Woman turns to the online cat community for advice after bringing home the healthiest survivor of a massive hoarding house, who is still hiding in the guest bathroom: 'She's very, very scared.'

LOL Cats - Fri, 03/13/2026 - 11:00
Patience produces precious results with cats.

Knowing your cat is afraid, of whatever it is that they're afraid of - the wind, the sound of a refrigerator door opening, or the literal beginning of a new life - can be disheartening. We don't want our cats to be afraid, and we can imagine any cat pawrent feels the same. But when a cat's life dramatically changes, they're bound to get scared - especially if their previous life circumstances were harsh. But the key is patience - to never give up on a cat in need. And that's exactly where this caring couple is headed - the fruits of their patience and care will be pets, slow blinks, purrs, and many years of cat love.

If you felt like you needed a sign to not give up on a hard-situation cat, a feline friend in need that you don't think you have the power to provide - look at this story as the sign of strength you were looking for. Just know we're all rooting for you, for everyone who takes the time to help a cat. We, and the entire global feline family, who are always at the ready to lend a shoulder, a kind word, and a piece of advice.

Neighbor gets even after entitled future bride blames her own wedding invitation mailing mistake on him

Fail Blog - Fri, 03/13/2026 - 11:00
We've seen plenty of family members erupt at the entitled engaged folks in their family for poor treatment leading up to their wedding ceremonies. Well, it turns out that the neighbors of those engaged folks are often subjected to this kind of treatment as well

Take it from this neighbor's testimony. If an engaged bride, groom, or whoever lives in your vicinity and you express interest in their wedding, they might use that interest to their advantage. In other words, they might start treating you like a paid assistant or wedding planner.

Soldier finds gray kitten in engine block, updates his animal lover wife who promptly demands he bring the baby home to add to their fluffy family: 'He turned out to be a daddy’s boy'

LOL Cats - Fri, 03/13/2026 - 10:00
It's always the dads who weren't "cat people" who fall in love with their fluffy fur babies the most.

One of the best parts of being the "animal lover" in your relationship is watching your other half slowly understand how amazing pets truly are. We grew up in a household with a lot of pets. And by a lot, we mean around five dogs, two cats, and two horses. We were surrounded by animals from the time we were born, and we've always loved having a pet in the house. Our partner, on the other hand, never had a pet before. So when we got together, the first thing we said was, "You know we're going to adopt at least a few cats, right?".

He was skeptical at first. "It's your responsibility", he said. "I'll go along with it because I know I can't stop you", he said. Well, as soon as we got to the shelter and started looking at kittens, everything changed. We took one home, and he immediately started calling her "his daughter".

The same happened with the soldier in our story below. He found a tiny gray kitten in an engine block, then reported back to his animal-loving wife who demanded he bring the baby home. Like a good husband, he obeyed.

Now one year old, the gray cat and his soldier dad are thick as thieves, and our hearts couldn't be happier. See more of this cute kitten rescue story and this dad who is now definitely a "cat purrson" below!

28 Funniest Feline Posts for Pawrents Who Made Their Cats the Weekend Plan

LOL Cats - Fri, 03/13/2026 - 09:00
If your weekend plans involve staying home and cuddling with your cats, we can be friends.

Now that we're well into our 30s, our ideal weekend plans involve no plans. We don't want to come to your birthday party, we'd rather not meet for a drink (especially if we're supposed to meet after 9 PM), and we definitely don't want to "see where the night takes us". The only place our night is taking us is to our couch, curled up with our cats

All we need are some snacks, a warm and fuzzy blanket, and one cat making biscuits on our legs while the other loafs on our chest until we fall fast asleep. And we're not just talking about any sleep, we want a one-way ticket to Honk Shoo Land, where we're sawing logs for at least eight hours. We have to make up for our lack of sleep during the week at some point or another.

We know we're not the only ones who feel this way, so all you fellow pawrents who made their cats the weekend plan, these funny feline posts below are made purrfectly for you. We don't need anyone except for our fluffy felines and a whole lot of peace and quiet for two days.

For all you saying that it's good to go out and be with people, to you we say that we do that enough during the week. The weekends are for meows, belly rubs, and as many naps in the sun as we can manage, and that goes for both our cats and us. So enjoy your purrfectly peaceful weekend, full of your felines, and only your felines.

'She told me that [her kitten] was evil': Kind person saves kitten from neighbor who was going to throw him out for being "evil", only for the cat to turn out to be a complete sweetheart

LOL Cats - Fri, 03/13/2026 - 08:00
There is no such thing as an evil cat.

There are so many misconceptions when it comes to cats. People think that all cats are aloof, that they don't care about their humans, that they only tolerate us because we feed them. People think that cats are unaffectionate, because cats don't always show affection in the way that we want to see it, in the "obvious" ways. People don't understand that some cats take time to learn to trust humans, probably because humans haven't been the kindest to them before.

People don't take the time to understand cats. They don't invest. And it is their loss. We know, as people who do invest and care about cats, that at the end of that long road to trust is something priceless, is a love that cannot be compared to anything else in its purity and unconditionality. If the person in today's story cared enough, they would have found out how loving and sweet their kitten is. Instead of that, because the kitten wasn't the most convenient one right away, they threatened to throw the kitten out. Just like that. Out loud. To their neighbor. Thankfully, that neighbor cared about the cat.
