'The cat no one wanted': Couple adopts shelter's longest resident feline whose trust in humans had been broken by previous owners who returned him, giving him another chance at a life he deserves
It might sound weird, but generally, we kind of love hearing stories about cats who "no one" wanted. Let us explain. It's not because we like their situation. It's the worst. It breaks our hearts to hear about cats who are waiting for their forever homes and are not able to find them. But we know… we know that if we came across their story, if it got big enough to hit our timelines, then it is going to be big enough to hit other people's timelines as well. And once that happens, the cat community has an amazing way of getting those "unwanted" cats adopted.
Because, like we said, there is no such thing as an unwanted cat. The internet has proved that. The internet was able to find homes for the cat that no one wanted because of its unique markings that made him look a little weird and the 14-year-old cat who no one wanted after his owner passed away. The internet even managed to get the "world's worst cat" more than 100 adoption applications. Because once we put our minds to something, we can make it happen. So really, if this couple didn't adopt this "unwanted" kitty themselves, they should have posted about it online. We would have made it happen. But this time, we didn't need to.
Boss criticizes 29-year-old employee's email "tone": 'At first I honestly thought he was joking'
It's probably happened to you at some point, whether in the workplace, the friend group chat, or while texting with Grandma. Something gets misconstrued, and a miscommunication is formed, leading to an argument. It's really hard to convey feelings over messages. For example, if you're on the older side, you might use the thumbs-up emoji in response to a message, because it saves you time, and you think it's just a simple "okay, great," response. But young people, like Zoomers, are ofttimes stunned to see that in response to a paragraph they wrote. To them, it comes off as super impolite that you'd just read their response and emoji-respond instead of writing something back. There were no ill intentions, and yet, it can make matters complicated.

One of our ultimate dreams, a dream that will never happen, is to become one of those people who are somehow best friends with big cats. You see them on the internet everywhere. Like the man who is part of a lion pride, who was able to introduce his baby to the pride because he is so bonded to them. Or like the man who raised cheetah cubs and was able to sleep with the cheetahs at night, cuddled up and loving. Or like the owners of Luna the panthera, who not only lives with them but is also best friends with their dog.
It'll never happen, because instead of going out on an adventure and investing the time in it, we are here, writing about other people doing it. Oh well. Still, we can live out our dream via the internet. We can look at pictures of adorable wild cats living their best lives and aww at our screens. We can be thankful that the people who are out there and are actually able to snap these pictures deem us worthy and share them with us. And we will.

Teen Drops Huge Family Pie at 4AM and Starts ‘Saving It’ by Throwing Dishes on the Floor, Now She’s a Michelin-Star Chef
Some family stories get retold for years because they're simply too ridiculous to forget. In this case, it all started with a late-night graduation party, a giant homemade pie, and a teenager who accidentally shattered the dish at 4 AM. What followed was a chaotic attempt to "save" the pie that somehow involved throwing plate after plate onto the kitchen floor, a moment that would become one of the family's most legendary stories.

27 Pawsitive Cat Memes That Celebrate the Feistiest Meowmber of the Family (March 12, 2026)
In reality, and as many cat lovers work hard to achieve, cats are actually the little princesses or princes in the household who carry the lightest load. They eat expensive prescription cat food for their IBS, they regularly claw at the furniture at their own pleasure, and they nap for 23 hours out of the day. With no careers to speak of, these adorable freeloaders spend their days instead being the light in our lives, bringing cuteness and pawsitivity into every meowment spent together.
It's for this reason that we forgive the lazy lump of a feline who refuses to listen when cat owners shoo them off the counter. Cats may be the feistiest, laziest, and most expensive meowmber of the family, but they're still our favorite.
22 Simpsons Memes That Still Feel Way Too Accurate
That's exactly why Simpsons memes hit so hard: a single frame of Homer backing into a hedge or Lisa silently judging the room can perfectly sum up modern problems, awkward moments, and existential Monday moods. These 22 memes prove that no matter how much the world changes, Springfield somehow already made fun of it first.
22 Sassy Pictures of Side-Eyeing Cats Who Are Seriously Not Impressed With Their Hoomans
Cats hand out side-eye for the smallest reasons. You walk past them. Side-eye. You open a snack that isn't for them. Side-eye. You move a chair slightly to the left. Side-eye again. Somewhere in that little cat brain, a note has been taken and the look is being issued.
The move itself is subtle. The body stays completely still while the eyes shift just enough to check what you're doing. No big reaction, no dramatic head turn. Just a quiet glance from the corner of the eye that somehow feels very personal. A cat sitting across the room can deliver a side-eye strong enough to make you rethink your entire situation.
It doesn't even have to be something important. You could simply exist a little too loudly for a moment. Maybe you sneezed. Maybe you laughed. Maybe you opened the wrong cabinet. The cat notices everything and responds accordingly.
Another cat walking by can trigger it too. A slow look from across the couch like someone just stepped into their purrsonal space without permission. The message is clear: something suspicious is happening and the cat is keeping track.
One quick glance is usually enough. The cat gives the side-eye, processes the situation, and then returns to sitting there like nothing happened. Meanwhile you're left wondering what exactly you did to deserve that level of judgment.
'I guess we have a cat now': A snack run turns into a kitten rescue after a couple spots a tiny gray kitten in the middle of the road and gives her a forever home
It started with a random day off and a quick trip for fries and a soft serve. This rescuer had driven over to spend the day with her boyfriend, and the two of them decided to head out to a nearby fast food place off a busy four-lane highway. As they pulled into the parking lot, something small and gray appeared in the road ahead. They thought it was a squirrel and her boyfriend quickly pulled over and ran to see what it was.
Instead of a squirrel, he found a tiny gray kitten sitting right there in the road near a busy four-lane highway. He scooped her up, jogged back to the car, and gently placed her in the back seat. They both knew right then that she was coming home with them.
The kitten was only about six months old with a tiny little head and the sweetest meows. Despite everything, she was calm once she was safely in the car. There was no way she was going back anywhere near that road. The snack run had quietly turned into a rescue.
That little gray blur is now known as Wrenchwrench. She's grown into a confident house cat who spends her time doing important cat work, like enthusiastically shredding her scratcher and sitting proudly beside the evidence afterward. For a kitten who started out alone in the middle of a busy road, she seems very happy with how things turned out.
