Think about it, you might've had the best ideas for activities during Saturday, but then you adopted a cat and every Saturday becomes a Caturday - the day to rest with your cat and spend some quality cat time with them. And in doing so, while your cat rests on your chest, purring like a tiny tractor, you almost become infused with each other. And you notice this not just because your cat is literally glued to you, but because you start adopting your cat's behaviors.

Your cat can sleep a bajillion hours in a day, and then you feel the need to nap even harder than usual. You had a normal amount of energy, but now you feel the zoomies bursts, just like your cat gets at 4 AM. You were eating okay, but now you want to snack all the time (the next step is to meow every time you want a snack). It's yet another piece of evidence for how strong the cat-human bond is.

Money within a family can already be complicated to manage, but things can become even more difficult when expectations are created without someone's consent. In this case, there is a college fund, a stepmother's inheritance money, and a series of false assumptions surrounding a financial discussion about a daughter's tuition that turned into a family conflict.

But one pawrent paved the way for cat leash walking experts to put everything in perspective - in ways that even we didn't know about. We're really tempted to try all these new methods with our own cats (who are mostly indoor kings at this point). At what point does a "temporary guest" officially become a freeloading roommate?

Reddit user @lemonlimeperspective sparked a heated debate on the r/AITAH subreddit after explaining how their roommate's friend had been unofficially living in their shared apartment's living room for nearly five months without paying rent. According to the post, the arrangement was originally supposed to be temporary while the friend "got back on her feet financially," but the situation quickly spiraled into frustration and resentment.

The tenant explained that the unofficial roommate not only avoided contributing financially but also completely took over the shared living space with a couch bed, personal belongings, and frequent late-night gossip sessions. Things apparently reached a breaking point after the woman bragged about having a sugar daddy before telling the struggling minimum-wage worker, "I know it's hard to be jealous of people who are doing well."

After months of vague promises and failed attempts to resolve the issue privately, @lemonlimeperspective warned their roommate that they planned to involve the landlord. While both roommates panicked and insisted everyone might get evicted, the poster argued that the landlord had previously been understanding and would likely just formalize the arrangement or enforce actual rent expectations instead of allowing the freeloading situation to continue indefinitely.

Commenters on r/AITAH overwhelmingly sided with the frustrated tenant, with many pointing out that a person working full-time, driving a car, and openly discussing sugar daddy money probably should not be living rent-free in someone else's living room. Others joked that the unofficial roommate somehow managed to combine "couch surfing," "main character energy," and "financial confidence" into one incredibly exhausting roommate experience.

Orange cats, what can we say about them? They're weird for sure, and Walt here is no different. 

It was the beginning of May. A stray decided to jump in a woman's office window while she was working, and this friendly cat made the front page of Reddit's r/CatDistributionSystem. The woman suspected that the cat is 1. too friendly for the outdoors, and 2. was abandoned by an owner who either moved away or couldn't have him anymore. He didn't seem like a strictly outdoor cat. She took him to the vet, and eventually asked her adult son if he wanted a cat. The son had recently lost his soul cat, and still not over it. But he trusted the cat distribution system. He knew that when he's called to care for a sweet boy he must do it. He's in the apartment, he's named Walt, and he's already winning over the owner! 

Two entitled members of a tour group are slowing down every other traveler. It's costing them precious vacation time.

There's a time and place for lateness! If you're meeting a friend for coffee, I think it's okay if you're running a little behind. The stakes are low, so who cares? 

But if you're returning to your tour bus before it moves on to the next destination, you'd better not risk being even a minute late. 

It's never a good time to be trapped under a storm drain…

This woman was on her way to work one morning when she reported in Reddit's r/CatDistributionSystem about hearing tiny yelps coming from beneath a storm drain. She immediately called the non emergency number and police showed up. They couldn't help, so they called the fire department and lo and behold, the little guy was saved! It took them time because the drains are really heavy to lift. The little guy spent the rest of the day in Target with everyone until she got off. She even took his photo and put it on their "trainer" wall at work. She named him Bullseye, after the indelible icon from the store. They went to the vet together, and despite an eye infection he's completely healthy. 

It just goes to show that if you hear something that doesn't sound right, to follow your instincts. 

How many times have you wiggled your mouse in the last hour?

As time goes by, it seems like companies find more and more ways to track employees in an attempt to ensure that each worker is using their entire 8-hour workday doing nothing but work. We constantly hear of new ways employers track their employees' "productivity", while making sure no one is wasting precious company time for their own benefits.

When this employee shared their story on Reddit's r/antiwork Subreddit, they wanted to vent about this exact phenomenon, while also proving just how faulty these new, high-tech systems truly are, and how useless they can become.

The newest craze in these tracking systems is, of course, the mouse tracking. Since many employees these days have at least one day a week where they get to work from home, bosses can no longer rely on the good ol' method of looking over their employees' shoulders to ensure everyone is doing their job. Now that some employees do their jobs remotely, a new tracking system is needed. All to make sure everyone is doing their due diligence.

In comes the "mouse tracking" system, which tracks workers' mouse movements on their computers to ensure that everyone is working all the time. This system was introduced to the employee below as well, who was told that anyone who does not move their mouse every 4 minutes will be written up for "idle time".

This system, however, neglects to take into account anyone whose job requires more than a few mouse jiggles every 4 minutes, which includes the employee who shared the story. So when they were called to their boss's office to explain why their "idle time" is so high, they came prepared to prove that the tracking system is missing some vital information about the job. Would that be enough to fight against these silly new protocols? You'll have to read below to find out…

It's true, work does some pretty crazy things to our minds and stability. Thankfully there are a variety of ways we can proactively treat this incoming stress. Most of these ways revolve around cats, whether it is reading cute cat stories, scrolling hilarious cat memes, or as is in this case perusing a collection of cuddling cats to get yourself set up for the day with a calming work day kick off.

Why do companies discourage employees from discussing salaries with coworkers?

A workplace drama straight out of every employee's group chat unfolded on Reddit after one hospital worker shared how HR allegedly became furious when they told coworkers they had successfully negotiated a higher salary during an internal transfer. The employee explained that HR originally insisted the move was a strictly "lateral" transfer with fixed pay, right up until an outside job offer suddenly made extra money appear out of nowhere. After later encouraging another coworker to try negotiating too, the employee said they received an angry voicemail from HR scolding them for discussing compensation at all. The post struck a nerve with readers who were quick to point out how companies love calling pay "non-negotiable" right up until someone calls their bluff.

When a cat chooses you to pet it the sensation of being chosen is overwhelming, so we can only imagine what it like to be chosen to be a cat's home and birthing suite.

But that is exactly what this story's cat mom of three got to expeirence when her soon to be fourth cat waltzed thorugh her door and promptly set up camp under her bed. And as any good cat lover can tell you, occurances like this are rare. So rare in fact that they have no specifc name, even tohught they are rather different from the typical cat found by a dumpster story that the Cat Distribution System likes to use.

For in this case it is not a hooman trying to convince a scared cat to come to them for comofrt and help. If anything it is the complete opposite as the cat chose the hoomans, and most certainly did not ask any questions, not to mention that it ended up being more than just a single cat, but in total 4 cats including three babies and momma. We can only imagine the heart swelling this hooman must have felt when she realized how speical her situation was. Thank goodness she had the grand idea to share her story with us all on Reddit's r/notmycat subreddit.
 

Nothing spikes your anxiety faster than a cat suddenly staring at one empty corner of the room like it just saw something move.

Cats staring at walls instantly changes the mood in an entire room. One second everything feels normal, and the next your cat is frozen in place staring intensely at absolutely nothing like they just detected supernatural activity behind the drywall. Naturally, every human nearby immediately starts staring at the wall too because there is no chance anybody is ignoring that behavior.

Cats get so locked in during these moments too. Ears twitching, giant eyes, tiny head turns like they are tracking something invisible crawling across the ceiling. Sometimes they even slowly creep toward the wall like little furry detectives investigating a crime scene. Meanwhile there is absolutely nothing there that humans can see.

The late-night wall staring sessions are always the most unsettling too. Nothing feels peaceful at 2 AM when a cat suddenly sits upright at the foot of the bed and stares silently into a dark corner for fifteen straight minutes. Cats somehow make plain empty walls feel deeply suspicious.

Then, just as everybody becomes fully convinced the apartment is haunted, the cat randomly loses interest and walks away to go eat kibble or nap in a sun spot. No explanation. No follow-up investigation. The wall apparently returns to being irrelevant until the next random staring session begins.

Cats really love reminding humans that they operate on an entirely different wavelength from the rest of us.

It certainly doesn't seem fair that this customer will only receive $250 from his former storage company after they freely gave away $5,000 worth of his property.

Unfortunately for this Georgia-based customer, who shared his story in the r/legal subreddit, he signed a contract with said storage company agreeing that any property loss or damage could only amount to a payment of that absurdly low number. 

However, the grave mistake that the storage company made here, which was described by them as a "system error," involved collecting the customer's monthly payment and then subsequently auctioning off his storage unit and all of the supplies inside. They neglected to contact the customer before doing so. He only discovered this when he visited the storage unit himself to pick up some winter clothes. 

Given the gross negligence here, it's hard to imagine that the storage company is going to get away with only paying this guy back $250 and a few free months' reimbursement of rent. In other words, the customer does indeed have the right to pursue legal action. 

Some managers arrive in a new industry with the confidence of someone who has not yet learned what they do not know.In this story, shared on Reddit by a former senior employee of a just-that-type-of-manager named Phil. Phil's Philosophy came from managing furniture warehouses and didn't change a tiny bit when he landed in a print shop, so within thirty days had identified the real problem: a four-year senior operator was making small operational calls without filling out the proper approval chain. Not big calls. Things like catching a color drift before it ruined a 500-copy run, or swapping paper stock when the deadline was two hours out, and the ordered stock was gone. Thirty-second fixes that cost nothing if caught early and hundreds of dollars if not.

A kitten meowing from the roadside quickly became somebody's newest little best friend.

This rescuer in Reddit's r/CatDistributionSystem subreddit really never stood a chance once Cirrus started meowing from the side of the road. After stopping to check things out, there was no way he was getting left behind. The plan at first was just to safely bring him to a shelter, but that changed pretty fast once the photos started happening. Tiny kittens have a way of making themselves impossible to give up after about five minutes.

The name Cirrus fits perfectly too. A fluffy little white kitten with a gray tuft named after clouds is ridiculously cute. He already sounds like one of those cats who permanently looks soft and slightly scruffy in the best way possible.

The shift from "temporary rescue" to full cat parent mode happened immediately too. One trip for supplies later and suddenly there was a little bed, litter box, and a whole setup waiting at home for him. That is usually how these stories go. Somebody says they are just helping for now, and then the kitten starts meowing, looking adorable, and completely taking over their life.

Then the vet visit somehow made him even cuter. Finding out he was only around five weeks old and barely over a pound makes him sound so smol. Cirrus seriously went from running across a road alone to being warm, safe, spoiled, and completely loved in record time.

"A cat was definitely not on the grocery list, darling."

We all know that cats possess the rare talent of finding themselves in the most bizarre situations. Just last week, our cat managed to jump behind the fridge, and of course, he then couldn't get out. In a matter of seconds, he started screaming at the top of his lungs for someone to come to his rescue. Obviously, we let him out of the little prison he got stuck in as soon as we could, but that still didn't stop him from trying to jump back in there 10 minutes later. These fiesty felines love the challenge, even if they then require a human to get them out of the mess they made.

To be fair, we don't know how the kitten in the story below, which was posted on Reddit's r/CatDistributionSystem Subreddit, managed to get stuck inside a random person's car, but we are sure it wasn't her fault. Luckily for her, someone was ready to come to her rescue.

After he managed to rescue the kitten and get her out of the grocery store parking lot they found themselves in, he took her to the only place he could count on: home, right to the arms of his loving girlfriend. At home, the wife set eyes on the tiny kitten in distress and immediately started working on helping her recover from the experience. Together, this awwdorable couple did everything to make sure the kitten sees another day. After a few days of close monitoring and nursing, the kitten started to grow and become a fully functioning, fluffy feline. By then, the couple had already decided they were going to keep the baby and welcome her to the family.

We're not sure if a life as an indoor cat will necessarily keep this kitten out of trouble, but we know her loving hoomans would do anything to make sure she is always safe and healthy. We're just happy she has a loving home to recover in.

He has the survey, the photos, the texts, and three years of good neighborly history, and still can't get his 240 square feet back.

Three feet doesn't sound like much. But three feet across eighty feet of shared boundary adds up to 240 square feet of yard that used to belong to one person and now, thanks to a fence installed in March, sits on the wrong side of the property line. That's not a minor encroachment. That's a full room's worth of outdoor space, quietly absorbed into a neighbor's yard while the original owner was left standing on his side wondering what just happened.

He didn't let it go. He brought in a licensed surveyor, the kind of professional whose entire job is to tell you exactly where a property line is, and the results were clear. The fence was sitting three feet inside his property. The full length of the boundary. Every inch of it wrong.

So he went over and showed his neighbor. Reasonable. Direct. The kind of conversation that should have taken ten minutes and ended with a handshake and a contractor's phone number.

Instead, the neighbor said the fence company did it right and he wasn't going to act on a survey he didn't commission himself. Which is a creative position to take when someone shows up with professional documentation, but okay. So the homeowner offered to pay for a second independent survey, even offered to split the cost, just to give his neighbor something he could feel comfortable with. The neighbor said he'd think about it.

This man is curious about the current state of dating, because the woman he's seeing has a really specific pre-date request.

New York is a true melting pot! Some folks are born here, some are just visiting, and others have moved here to try and make it in the big city.

What part of "I don't work here, lady" did this entitled shopper not understand?

Not to point any fingers here, but it's remarkable when people like to throw out and repurpose stock arguments from cultural conversations when they are completely not applicable to the situation at hand.

That's what happened here when this customer at a large retail store mistook another shopper for an employee based on what they were wearing. Despite the fact that the other shopper tried on numerous occasions to explain that he did not work at the store, the woman refused to accept this fact. 

Instead, she opted to throw a temper tantrum about how members of the other shopper's generations despised work entirely. The other shopper shared his side of the story with members of this online community.

We've seen this kind of entitled behavior from customers again and again, but that does not mean it should be normalized!

When your backyard becomes infested (in the cutest way possible) with kittens, what else is there to do except invite them into your home and love them furrever?

Cats have a meowsterious power to waltz into your life and make you think it was your idea. The kicker is that where there's one cat, there's usually more, so before you know it, you've gone from 0 to 4 cats in less than 24 hours. It's not like we have purrsonal experience with this or anything. We've only three cats, and they were all within the same week. Once the CDS decides that you're ready for a cat, it might not stop until you've reached your full capacity.

But whether you're looking for a feline friend or not, you know you can't turn your back on an animal in need, especially one with young babies who need your love and purrtection. After a couple posted a video on their Instagram page of their favorite feral cat introducing them to her backyard babies, they couldn't not start to care for them and bring them inside. They got mama cat spayed, so they wouldn't have any more surprises on their back patio, and were able to get two of the four kittens adopted (together). The other two they kept for themselves, naming them 'Chips' and 'Grey'. Mama stayed outside but hasn't left their backyard so she can still play with her baby boys whenever she wants. 

Remember, not all cats adjust well to being indoors, so the fact that she stayed close to watch over her babies means a lot. Now all three kitties are purrfectly cared for, healthy, and pawsitively loved.
