26 Heartwarming Friday Felines for a Soft Meowment of Kitten-Filled Calm

LOL Cats - Fri, 04/17/2026 - 08:00
There are three things we do on Fridays to make sure we have a great weekend: move all of our Monday meetings to Tuesday, ignore all emails until Monday morning, and scroll through heartwarming cats and kittens to bring some joy to the last day of the work week.

For those of us with a tendency to worry about anything and everything, learning how to manage our moods is one of the most impurrtant skills you can learn. Maybe you search for inner peace within through movement, like in yoga, practice breathing techniques through meditation, or take a walk to clear your head when the noise of life gets too loud. All of those things are great, but none of them work as well for us as the simplest (and cutest) thing of all - cat pictures.

There's something about seeing a tiny, floofy, fluffball kitten being held in the palm of someone's hand that just resets our nervous system and puts it on a cruise control to calm. It's like taking a deep breath after a good cry or an exhale after a stressful day. No matter how many things we have left to do before 5 PM on Friday, we always make time to recenter ourselves with a hearty scroll of heartwarming kitties.

If you're looking for something filled with more funny felines, you'll get a hefty haha out of all of the cat memes below these pictures. No shame in continuing to make yourself happy. It's called self-care, and it's just as important as eating if you want to avoid burnout.

San Diego woman refuses to add her boyfriend of 2 years to the deed of a house she bought entirely by herself, 3 weeks after he moved in, and he threatens to move out

Fail Blog - Fri, 04/17/2026 - 07:30
Three weeks. That is how long it took for a perfectly good living arrangement to turn into a property negotiation. The deal was already solid before any of this came up. Below market rent in San Diego to live with his girlfriend in a house she owns. That is not a sketchy landlord situation. That is one of the better deals available in a city where rent is genuinely painful and most people would take it without blinking. He took it too, right up until he was inside the house and realized his name was not attached to it.

26 Feline Funnies to Fully Fall Under Today’s Purrfect Cat Spell

LOL Cats - Fri, 04/17/2026 - 07:15
Why look at the news when you can spend your time much more productively and look at cat memes instead?

In times like these, when social media feels super toxic, we tell people to not look at the news. Socials are hard right meow. To stay sane and healthy, we need to look at the things that matter. We need to focus our attention on the things that we're actually searching for. We don't want endless doomscrolling. We want to find the adorable viral cat stories online that are making people smile. We want to find the cutest cat pictures that people took that week.

We want to smile throughout our day, and as every cat person knows, the best, most low-effort way to make that happen, is by happy-scrolling through a whole bunch of silly cat memes. They're always there, online, floating among the things that you don't want to see. Because people are always sharing cat memes. And we, here at ICHC, simply remove all the noise from them and put them into pawdorable little collections.

Woman breaks up with graphic designer because they use AI for work, sparking up an ethical argument: 'It's cheating!'

Fail Blog - Fri, 04/17/2026 - 06:45
This breakup may have started with AI-generated work, but the real issue ran deeper than software ever could.

After learning her graphic designer partner was secretly using AI for client projects, this woman realized they weren't aligned on the things that mattered most to her. What followed was less about technology itself and more about trust, transparency, and two people seeing integrity in completely different ways.

'Literally bankrupting my family!' Grandpa finds a unique, frozen and sick kitten lying in the middle of the road, his family spends over $10,000 saving her life, and they don't regret one meowment of it

LOL Cats - Fri, 04/17/2026 - 06:30
Considering how much cats hate going to the vet, sometimes, they force us to take them there for the silliest reasons.

If you are a cat owner, then you have most likely been through the experience of taking your cat to the vet for some ridiculous reason. Of course, it doesn't seem ridiculous at the time. If you take your cat to the vet, it's for an actual reason. It's because they did something that spooked you into doing it. You're willing to pay the money - the hundreds of dollars - for that visit, just to make sure that your cat is okay. You can't know that you're about to pay hundreds because your cat has a tummy ache or because your cat is just a picky eater

Sometimes, it's silly reasons like this. Other times, it's serious things. And that couple of hundred stacks up to a couple thousand. Our cats are worth every penny. Their health is worth it. More time with them is worth it. If it's a couple hundred bucks for something silly or $10,000 for something very serious.

Negligent vet lets precious cat escape by leaving the door open, luckily owner finds her tucked away in a garden but considers changing vets

LOL Cats - Fri, 04/17/2026 - 05:45
The white tabby is already a bit reluctant to go to the vet, so it doesn't help that the vet negligently leave the door open.

She brought her cat to the vet because the cat had a suture sticking out from her incision and wanted to check it. She claims her cat is adorable "happy bun" at home, but at the vet she becomes angry. A usually cuddly cat turns enraged when she is in a medical atmosphere, and she especially doesn't like men (and the vet is a man). She brings her to the vet, and the vet brings her to the examination room but leaves the door open. An absolutely avoidable issue. She follows her cat, and hasn't started to panic yet, but then realizes that even the main door of the vet office is wide open. The office is right on a big district and main road, there are tons of cars going full speed. The cat runs out the door and that's when the owner starts to panic. She runs after the cat, and luckily finds her tucked away in a garden.

She doesn't know what could have happened if the cat had run into the street or somewhere else. She questions whether to trust the current vet after this fiasco, and decides that maybe it's best to change vets.

Boston-based employee's remote status revoked, forced to come into a WeWork twice a week with no one from his company on site: 'No one from my team is within 500 miles!'

Fail Blog - Fri, 04/17/2026 - 05:00
What is the purpose of coming into an office where none of the other people who work there are employees at your company?

This fully remote employee just found out that he was now being forced to come into the office two times a week despite the fact that he lives in Boston and everyone else at his company lives in North Carolina. Yes, none of the employees on his team lived within 500 miles of him, so there really was no legitimate reason why he needed to go to an office.

However, this was the new policy, and there was seemingly nothing he could do about it… for now.

In the middle of August in the SoCal desert, a small orange kitten comes running up to woman and her children, caring friend keeps him despite having 3 foster kitties

LOL Cats - Fri, 04/17/2026 - 04:00
Cats aren't meant to deal with such harsh temperatures, and that's what makes this rescue so necessary.

This woman was already fostering three other abandoned kittens who were around the same age as him (5-6 weeks). A coworker found him and brought him to her, and she took to him immediately. The coworker was walking with her kids and he came running up to them meowing. It was the middle of August in the SoCal desert. If you've ever experienced that kind of heat and sun then you now how unbearably hot it can be, even so early in the year. It was 117 degrees that day, so this little guy must have been overheated and parched. The woman knew her coworker cat lady would take him in despite having 3 other cats to foster.

He was a feisty orange, possessive of food, and a playful little guy. Her original goal was to raise all the kittens to an adoptable age before finding suitable homes. But there were two that she fell in love with. This orange guy (who she named Taco), and another cat, Ramen. She would play with all the kittens, and these two became inseparable. She bathed them together, snuggled them together, and decided to keep them. Read the full story below.

Employer denies $27 parking reimbursement, employee makes them pay henceforth with 1st class train rides, costing 3 times more 'as per travel expense policy'

Fail Blog - Fri, 04/17/2026 - 03:30
At what point do you follow a process that has become ill-suited for its intended purpose?

When an employer balked at an unusual parking expense, the employee let them have their money, but henceforth ceased their usual cost-cutting efforts, ballooning their travel costs to triple what they were previously, all according to the process their employer had quoted when refusing to pay their parking fee.

Logic and reason be crammed, there is only the process. Trust the process, follow the process, obey the process.

Students foster stray cat mom’s kittens when she is taken to vet, but upon her return she rejects her litter leaving students to raise and adopt, say: ‘They’re doing great and are super well socialized as a result of being raised by college students’

LOL Cats - Fri, 04/17/2026 - 03:15
If you thought a group of college students would be too immature to rescue and care for a litter of kittens, this story stands to prove you wrong.

For when one of the stray cats on their campus had to leave the area for some vet treatment, this collection of college students noticed that a litter of kittens had been left behind. If left to their own devices one would assume these kittens would not last all too long, especially with their mother not nearby to protect them. So seeing the potential problem looming over these kittens, the students stepped in to help you. Each one taking on a kitten to care for secretly in their dorm room.

They did so in the hopes that when momma cat came back she would seek out her kittens and the fur family would be reunited. However, it seems that her treatment and time away caused her to move on in life and when she was presented with her kittens once more the allure of family life had worn off. The rest of the story we leave you to discover for yourself, but one truly wonders what would have happened to those kittens had those kind cat loving students not been there.

Friend refuses to buy $300 cowboy boots for a bridezilla’s wedding, setting boundaries despite getting called unsupportive: ‘I have already spent $400+ on my dress’

Fail Blog - Thu, 04/16/2026 - 19:15
Real friends don't measure loyalty in dollars. Even on your wedding day, you can't expect your friends to overspend for your aesthetic. But it turns out weddings can bring out people's most entitled side...

Planning a wedding can be stressful, I get it. Many people feel overwhelmed with the preparations because they want that day to be special, perfect, unforgettable, whatever. OK, that doesn't give you the right to demand anything that crosses your mind from your friends. And honestly, a beautiful wedding means nothing if you push your friends away.

In today's story, a last-minute demand from the bride caught her friend off guard. There was a new requirement to attend the ceremony: wearing brand-new, real leather cowboy boots. And not just any boots, expensive ones that had to be approved by the bride personally. Her friend had already spent more than $400 on her bridesmaid dress, and now she was expected to buy $300 cowboy boots she would likely wear only once in her life.

Well, you might think, let's buy secondhand. It's a more affordable option, and if you won't be using the boots again, that's more reasonable. That's what her friend suggested, but she only received judgment. The bride made it clear that cheaper options would make her wedding look "trashy". That's so materialistic I wouldn't even want to go to her wedding anymore. Good thing her friend dared to set boundaries.

How far should you go to support a friend's unreasonable wishes? Refusing becomes a healthy boundary rather than a lack of loyalty. No friend should put you in a difficult financial position just for their whims. And no one should accept that kind of treatment just to keep the peace, so cheers to our bridesmaid for standing her ground and refusing to be pushed around.

Coworker asks woman to help her move, when she arrives, nothing is packed, and learns the new place is 40 minutes drive: 'She said it'd be "just a few boxes" and maybe 2-3 hours, it took 7 and a half'

Fail Blog - Thu, 04/16/2026 - 17:45
What was supposed to be a quick favor spirals into a full-day ordeal as the woman discovers her coworker, whom she agreed to help, hasn't packed and expects more last-minute requests and favors.

I think we have probably all been in this situation: A friend, family member, or occasionally an acquaintance asks you to help them move, and you agree, and when you turn up to help them move some furniture and some boxes around, you are startled to discover that they haven't even started packing yet.

And then that sliding scale of expectation continues to move. It turns out they don't have a vehicle to move with and they haven't organized a moving truck, could they use yours? You were comfortable with the idea of maybe throwing a few boxes in the back seat and driving to their new place to drop them off, but you're not really ready to be dragging and wedging things in and out of your new car.

Old school boss demands all IT logs get printed and put on his desk every morning, backpedals after getting buried in paperwork: 'I stacked it all up in a massive teetering pile that was about two feet high'

Fail Blog - Thu, 04/16/2026 - 16:15
Analog is all the rage right now, but some automated computer processes should stay on screen.

IT logs are one of them.

There's one thing that every employee dreads, and that's paperwork. However, this boss had a supreme distrust for any paperwork that wasn't printed on real 8.5"x11" paper, and insisted that his workforce follow his example and print everything out. As if paperwork days could get any worse, this hair-brained printing scheme resulted in a monumental mountain of parchment stacked up on the boss's desk. Was this what you wanted, Boss Man? Like a house of cards, this pile of paperwork was over 3ft high after the first day of this boss's new mandate, and it was equally as precarious.

Bosses have a utopic vision of how the workplace runs, but it's rarely accurate.

Although good managers are down in the trenches with the workforce and therefore have a solid grip on their business's day-to-day reality, higher-level bosses lose the plot as they get promoted. It seems the more commas in your salary, the less you truly understand daily workflows. Increasingly detached from daily operations, bosses can make some sweeping, silly decisions that drastically affect the rest of their workers, and no matter how well-intentioned, if their choices are misplaced, it makes for chaos down below.

This boss was tired of misunderstanding his IT team's logs. With technological advances of the last 30 years flying way over his head, he was baffled by the "secretiveness" of computer logging and insisted that his team print everything out on paper. And I mean, everything

If you've ever worked with computers, especially back-end logs, you'll know that printing off every tech command is going to be a colossal waste of paper, but to the crew of snarky IT guys, malicious compliance was the only way to teach their boss that his demands were totally and completely off base.

A Ray of Sunshine in the Form of 28 Fuzzy Feline Funnies

LOL Cats - Thu, 04/16/2026 - 15:15
Every cat owner wishes that their fluffy felines would be the most cuddly creatures out there, but they don't know the truth behind what it's really like to have a cuddly cat…

On paper, a cuddly cat is a rare treasure that every pawrent out there is after. It's like when catching a rare Pokémon that you never want to let go of. But here is the honest truth behind the reality of living with a clingy cat, and it might not be what you were expecting to hear.

First and foremost, it is awwbsolutely furtastic to have a furry friend cuddle you in bed and shower you with physical love at every chance they get. We love it when we get to go to sleep spooning a big, fluffy orange cat, and not have him run away as soon as we get too close. Our favorite activity is the Sunday morning ritual of bringing all the cats to bed and enjoying a lazy morning of cuddles and naps, and it's even better when you know the cats love it as well.

So really, we have so much appreciation for our cuddly creatures.

Yet, here is where the situation gets… complicated. Living with a clingy cat means you have no personal space whatsoever. As soon as you sit down anywhere, whether it is the couch, the bed, or even the toilet, you must be prepared to have a cat on your lap almost immediately after. If you want to get up, you have to shimmy your way out of the pyramid the cats have created on top of you, and face the heartbreaking side-eyes they give you for ruining the lovely nap they just had on your lap. Walking without tripping is almost impossible, and you always have to watch out for a cat trying to rub against your leg. And if you want to close the bedroom door for some alone time, just know that it is limited to about 30 seconds before your fiesty feline starts screaming at the top of their lungs for you to open the door.

At least when we want to show our silly cats a funny meme, we don't have to go very far; we only have to scroll a bit and tilt the screen towards their sweet, awaiting faces...

15 College kids who couldn't help but laugh at their meal options

Fail Blog - Thu, 04/16/2026 - 14:15
Many college students get assigned a meal plan, and the food choices range from fantastic to bleh

In college, many of us got those beloved meal plans. The school cafeteria food is usually okay and sometimes pretty good, depending on what you buy. My school had a Starbucks on campus, which was pretty great, and the actual food options were enough to keep us all fed. Some of my best college memories are of grabbing a booth with like 6 friends, hanging out and laughing together until some people had to leave for class, only for more people to join us in their place. Sometimes we'd spend a whole day studying in the caf (aka being on our phones and goofing around).

But sometimes, the cafeteria was closed, and we found ourselves eating things like 1 spoonful of peanut butter, or some stale crackers and questionable cheese sticks, or maybe an unholy amalgamation of vending machine food. It happens to the best of us.

These college kids were nice enough to share what they've been eating lately, and the results are fascinating!

Update: Data engineer asked to lead important meeting, realizes they have no idea what they're doing: 'Up until now, the stakes have been low... That era has ended'

Fail Blog - Thu, 04/16/2026 - 12:15
Just how long can you pretend to know what you're doing until the boss finds out your secret?

If you've ever felt some imposter syndrome at work, know that you're not alone!

A lot of people get that feeling that they're tricking an interviewer into hiring them, or that they're not worthy of a raise, or that they're not good enough at their job to warrant taking on bigger responsibilities. But that's just not usually the case.

Most of the time when we feel this way, it's just our insecurities talking, while the whole time, we've actually been prepared to handle whatever may come our way.

However, this guy had a rather special case of imposter syndrome, and he came to the internet searching for help. Luckily, people love to share their finest advice tidbits when people ask for help, and after taking some suggestions in stride, this guy felt more confident in their abilities to host a meeting.

Hosting a meeting is undoubtedly stressful. Even if you've done it a ton of times, you've still got to put in the work to prepare slides, write out an opener that'll grab your audience's interests, and ensure that you can call on others to carry the topic if you need a few minutes to catch your breath.

So how did this guy get over those pre-meeting nerves, and did they manage to "fool" all their coworkers into thinking they knew what they were doing?

Cat Distribution System uses couple’s appreciation of cult movie to gift them a unique looking cat to grow their large feline family by four paws: ‘We went to the store and came home to... this little batman looking dude’

LOL Cats - Thu, 04/16/2026 - 12:00
When you give to cats, the Cat Distribution System gives back to you, in cats. At least that is the take away from this sweet cat adoption story.

It is not often that we get a glimpse into the wider lives of the pawrents who the Cat Distribution System chooses. Largely because their stories tend to center around the cats they save and are gifted. But in this story we come to learn that there is a good chance that the CDS operates on a donation basis. Meaning the more you give to cats, be it food, shelter, pets, etc, the more willing the CDS is to give you a cat if you should express such an interest.

Which is exactly what happened when this couple who care for several stray cats expressed their interest in taking on another cat child at home. Within a matter of hours the CDS sprung into action and delivered the most purrfect feline they could have ever imagined. It seems that what goes around, comes around.

Homeowner gets even with gossiping neighbor by refusing to help jump-start her car, leaving her stranded: 'Some people only look out for themselves'

Fail Blog - Thu, 04/16/2026 - 11:30
Did this person's neighbor never learn to treat others the way she would like to be treated?

Yes, that simple ethical principle can actually go a long way, especially when it comes to the people who occupy your daily life. For instance, if you're sharing with someone, be it a partner or a roommate, you might want to consider respecting one another's space and boundaries. You don't want to start drama in your home, especially when said individuals are in close proximity to your food, your clothes, and your valuables.

Now, anyone who has lived in a tight-knit suburban community knows that sometimes, it feels like your next-door neighbors might as well be your roommates. Not everyone exercises decorum when it comes to privacy and respecting boundaries, but it's a good idea to do so in case you ever need a show of kindness from them.

This entitled lady never subscribed to the kindness principle, which would ultimately backfire for her when her car wouldn't start on a Sunday morning.

A Mosaic Masterpiece of Tortoiseshell Cats Giving Picasso Vibes

LOL Cats - Thu, 04/16/2026 - 11:15
Art is all around us, it just takes a keen eye to see it in cats.

Tortoise shell cats (or better known colloquially as "torties") have a unique and beautiful fur pattern. They're usually female cats, and their fur is made up of black, brown, orange, and white. It's like Pablo Picasso himself painted these kitties with his paint brush and talented hands. Picasso was one of the most influential an revolutionary artists of the 20th century. As one of the most popular artists of the modern era, he focused on Cubism, which is a style of art when subjects are analyzed, broken up, and reassembled in an abstract form. Instead of depicting objects from a single perspective, the artist depicts the subject from multiple perspectives to represent the subject in a greater context. Just like Picasso's use of Cubism, these kitties create a colorful mosaic on their bodies and furs. They're all too cute to be ignored.
