New homeowner does late-night DIY renovations, dismisses neighbors’ complaints, until they take it to the council and get the noise rules changed: 'Now, work has to stop by 8:00 PM'

Fail Blog - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 14:15
I understand you may want to fix up your place as quickly as possible, but that doesn't mean you can do it at any hour of the day… or night.

Home renovations require a lot of hard work and are exhausting. Especially if you're the one in charge of your own house renovations, you have the freedom to work on your own schedule and speed things up if you want to. But that freedom shouldn't keep your entire neighborhood awake in the process.

23 Cute Drinking Cat Pics for your Daily Reminder to Drink Water

LOL Cats - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 13:45
If like us, you find it tough to remember to drink enough water each day, then let this list of water drinking cattos be your daily reminder to get that sweet H2O in your system.

It is not easy to remember to drink water. Maybe it is because of its lack of taste that we tend to forget it, but whatever it is that causes us to hide from our hydration needs we need to do something about it. So we enlisted the support of the one animal that we know cannot go without water and is actually such a profound lover of water that they have specific ways in which they drink it.

Some will only drink from a bowl, others will never touch a bowl and will only drink from a slow flowing tap. And then there are others who like a fast moving tap splashing their face while they try to eat the droplets of water that bounce off their mouth. There is no end to the various ways in which cats have come to enjoy drinking water, but one thing that unifies them is that they all love drinking it. So to help you get your daily 2 liters we made this list of cute cattos to inspire you to get some hydration in your day.

Car-savvy boyfriend replaces girlfriend’s brakes and handles her tire situation, she damages his car and argues she shouldn’t pay because he earns slightly more: ‘I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect her to fix the damage’

Fail Blog - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 13:00
When a simple car favor turns into a full-blown relationship debate.

You know how it goes. You try to do something nice, something helpful, something that makes you look like a solid, reliable partner. In this case, a car-savvy boyfriend stepped in to fix his girlfriend's brakes and sort out her very questionable tire situation, because apparently "I'll deal with it later" was the original maintenance plan.

He even went the extra mile, literally, offering to take her car in himself while she borrowed his for the day. Easy, efficient, everyone wins. What could go wrong? Well, fast forward a few hours, and suddenly there is a phone call about a "small scuff." You already know where this is going.

Because when she pulls up, it is not a small scuff. It is full-on damage. We are talking deep gouges, pushed-in panels, and wheels that were freshly refurbished just two months ago, now looking like they lost a fight with a curb, and the curb won. Not exactly the outcome he had in mind.

And here is where things really take a turn. Instead of a quick "I messed up, I'll fix it," the conversation shifts into debate mode. It was an accident. It is only cosmetic. He earns a bit more anyway. Suddenly, the question is not just about the car anymore: it is about responsibility, fairness, and how a nice favor somehow turned into a full-blown standoff.

Person with a cat allergy discovers the one meowraculous kitty to whom they're immune, adopts her immediately: ‘I’ve been allergic to cats since my teens, but I'm not allergic to her’

LOL Cats - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 12:30
The Cat Distribution System issued them an allergy exemption so they could become the sole pawrent of a sweet, tailless wonder.

This person has been allergic to cats their entire life, but is somehow, by some miracle, immune to a tailless tabby they found wandering around their family's property. It's not every day that Fate grants an allergy-ridden pawspective cat lover the opportunity to become a cat parent, but in this instance, it was more than Fate… It's destiny.

It's not every day that people realize they love cats. Many people are born with an innate connection with felines, while others are charmed by their lovable personalities, but it's especially rare when a non-cat person gets converted as an adult. After a lifetime without kitties in their vicinity, many people don't bother to entertain the thought of getting a cat of their own, particularly if they're allergic. There's no sense in bringing an animal into your house that will inevitably make you sneezy, wheezy, and not-so-breezy.

But the CDS knows better.

The Cat Distribution System knows when a cat is needed in a person's life far before they know themselves.

21-year-old woman gets fined $200 by HOA for having dandelions on her lawn: 'Someone drove through my neighbor hood and took pictures'

Fail Blog - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 12:15
HOAs love to fine their residents, and they often choose the tiniest, most insignificant little "problems" in the whole neighborhood.

Just like many people, this person has got some new blooms on their lawn. In the springtime, flowers seem to bloom overnight! One day there's nothing, the next day, you're seeing flowers all over the place. These are so pretty to see, and it's a lovely way to welcome in the warmer weather.

Weeds grow right alongside those flowers though, and homeowners know the struggles of keeping weeds away all too well. They can be quite pesky, and if you don't get rid of them quickly, they can take up space in place of actual plants.

'This little dude was just chilling on the coffee table': Orange tabby strolls into couple's apartment and immediately acts like he owns the place, couple accept their CDS fate

LOL Cats - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 12:00
Imagine walking in one day and just seeing this orange cat sitting like he owns the place.

Orange cats do have a reputation for being even more brazen, blunt, and bashful than other breeds, and this one is no different. This guy has been wanting a new cat for several years after the passing of his old cat, Stache, in 2019. His old cat got along swimmingly with his dog, Rango, and he wanted to repeat that dynamic again, but also wanted to be gentle with himself about moving on quickly. A few days ago the cat distribution system gave him no choice anymore. His girlfriend was at home while he was working, and his front door needs some tender, love, and care. It hangs open ajar if you don't firmly shut it, which he didn't on this day. His girlfriend walked out of the bedroom and the door was open, and this little orange was just sitting on the coffee table like he owns the place. Then he immediately runs up to the girlfriend and starts purring and rubbing himself all over her.

Miraculously, the orange and his dog, Rango, also got along immediately! He finds out if this cat has an owner, and sees that the cat isn't microchipped. Vanguard was having a mobile animal pop up in the parking lot, so he went down with the little guy and got him all his important shots. Read the full story below.

Company forces employees to participate in ‘Financial Wellness’ workshop after refusing to give anyone a raise for over 3 years: ‘We'll help you make the most of your income"’

Fail Blog - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 11:30
"We can't give you a raise, but here is Susan, who is going to teach you how to meal prep for the week so you can save a few extra dollars every week."

Working a 9-5 job in an ordinary company means you sometimes have to deal with annoying office life etiquette and mandatory extracurricular activities you didn't really sign up for when you signed your contract. Like taking 15 minutes out of your day every time someone has a birthday so you can sing to them in the kitchen while you're all huddled around a small birthday cake, or spending your precious evening at an office holiday party, participating in a "socializing" game someone from HR found online.

Even though it is not part of any job description, it is still a part of the job, and it's usually a lot easier to go along with it than attempt to fight it.

However, some of these office "extracurricular activities" tend to cross a certain line, moving from harmless to downright insulting, and the activity described in the story below is a perfect example of the latter.

This company has been claiming that it's experiencing financial struggles for years now, which is why upper management has been refusing to give any of the employees a raise for over three years. Even as the cost of living has gone up from one year to another, none of the people working for this company saw any change in their paychecks.

If that is not terrible enough, this week the employees all got an email inviting them to attend a wellness workshop called "Stretching Your Dollar in Tough Times", meant to help the employees find ways to budget their money better. Imagine! Working for a company for three years without a single raise, being forced to participate in a workshop, and having to listen to some lady telling you how you can save money in these tough times.

Talk about workplace audacity…

A Weekend Kitten Party of Cute and Precious Fur Babies

LOL Cats - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 11:15
Weekend is here, and these kittens wanna party!

Saturdays are all about soaking up the sun, relaxing in bed, and partying to celebrate the last night before needing to set your alarm. We all love what the weekend brings us. Some of us use it to do a yoga class, to see a friend for coffee, and to spend all day in bed just breathing your own air. Some like to drive to the neighboring town and let loose, to have a day trip with a friend trying all sorts of foods and other things. And some people like to party. You know who else likes to party? Kittens.

Kittens have so much energy that it would be impossible for them to exist like that without some sort of release. They're permanently on the verge of throwing a party. The moment they wake up from one of their many naps, they're immediately in full party mode, and suddenly it's time for chaos! Their capricious natures have us bouncing up and down to the beat of their zoomies. Their curiosity captures us, and there's a celebratory vibe at all times. Everything becomes more exciting. A dangling string? Party. A torn up paper towel? Party. Moving your feet under the blanket? Party.

Worker liberated after he gatekeeps his office phone charger, refusing to share with thieving coworkers despite their heckling: ‘It is mine, and I’m tired of hunting for it like a shared office pet’

Fail Blog - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 10:45
Establishing dominance in the workplace is the only way to gain anyone's respect, and if that means curtailing your generosity and gatekeeping your phone charger, so be it.

An employee brought a phone charger from home to ensure his cell always had more than 10% battery, but after his charger was repeatedly stolen from his desk, his patience dwindled faster than the battery level of an aging iPhone 12.

23 Purrecious Pictures of Pint-Sized Kittens Taking Up the Whole Bed

LOL Cats - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 10:30
It starts as a small nap and somehow becomes a full bed takeover.

Tiny kittens have a way of taking over an entire bed like it was always meant to be theirs. It doesn't matter how big the bed is or how small they are, the result is always the same. One tiny kitten, fully stretched out in the middle, acting like they need every inch of space for very important nap purposes.

They always start off small. Curled up into a neat little ball, barely taking up any room, looking completely harmless. Then the expansion begins. One paw stretches out, then the back legs, then the full body stretch like they are hitting some kind of nap PR. Before long, they have gone from tiny to full sprawl, reaching peak purrfessional bed coverage.

Trying to move them isn't an option. They are deep in sleep, fully committed, probably dreaming about snacks or chasing something imaginary. You try to shift them a little, and they somehow stretch even more, like it is part of the plan. So you adjust instead, squeezing into whatever space is left while they stay exactly where they are.

It's impressive. A tiny kitten with the confidence to take over a whole bed without question. No sharing, no compromise, just full control. Tiny but powerful, living their best nap life.

Landlord demands using tenant's apartment for showings, then backs down when tenant asks for rent deduction in return: 'He was never going to give us money'

Fail Blog - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 10:00
The key to dealing with a greedy person is to find a way to speak their language.

It's not difficult to recognize a cheap person. All it takes is a 5-minute conversation with them to realize that the one motive that leads all of their actions is money. Every action they take is affected by how much money they would be able to save in the process, even if it means discomforting everyone else around them.

Now, if someone actually has to act that way in order to afford living, then good for them. Finding ways to save money can truly be beneficial for those who need it. Yet, we have come to learn that most cheap people are not really people who are struggling financially, but the exact opposite of that. The more money one has, the more stingy they get with reaching into their wallet.

Landlords, for example, are the best example for well-off people who hate spending money when they don't feel like it, which is the exact case of the landlord below. Every chance he gets to save a buck or two on his rented units, he will take it. He will do house repairs himself, even though he is not qualified for it, and he will guilt-trip his tenants into agreeing to "small favors" just so he can avoid paying actual money for them. And it's obvious that the guy has enough money to get by. After all, he gets paid rent from his tenants every single month.

The last favor he asked of his tenants was finally met with pushback, in an attempt to give the cheap landlord a taste of his own medicine. He wanted to use the apartment of one of his tenants for multiple showings so he could rent another unit of his. That means that he wanted free access to someone else's home for who-knows-how many showings, without giving the tenants living there anything in return.

However, the tenants finally decided to speak the landlord's language, and demanded rent reduction in return for his using the apartment for showings. As soon as he realized that it might cost him money, it didn't take long before he backed out of the deal.

'Not all of them have to go back outside': After TNR release, one cat chose to stay, found her person, and now has a forever home

LOL Cats - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 09:45
She was supposed to be released, but she had other plans.

The rescuer had just finished TNR'ing four cats and brought them back to where they came from. Everything was supposed to be routine. Open the traps, let them go, and they'd run off together. But one of them didn't. She stayed in the trap for a bit, like she wasn't ready to leave.

When she finally came out, it wasn't to run off. She went for the food, then stayed close. While the others left, she didn't follow. Instead, she started sticking near the rescuer, walking after them, not trying to hide or get away. It didn't feel like hesitation, it felt like a choice.

She had the chance to leave and didn't take it. She stayed close, like she had already decided who she trusted. Sometimes it really is that simple. A cat picks you and that's it.

So she didn't go back outside. She went home with the rescuer and now she's being adopted. What started as a routine release turned into something else completely, just because one cat decided she wasn't leaving.

Tenant’s sewage complaints get ignored for over a month, organizes neighbors to flood the management phone lines, and gets the pipe fixed by Monday morning: ‘The change in their attitude was instant’

Fail Blog - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 09:00
A month of ignored maintenance tickets for a basement that smells like a collapsed sewer line. Every time someone filed a complaint, a guy showed up with a plunger, poked around for twenty minutes, and left. The pipe was collapsed. That is not a plunger situation. Everyone knew this. Nobody did anything about it.

This story hits home because in the 5 years of living in my apartment, never, not even once, did it not take the group chat to organize to get management to do its job.

Homeowner calls out athletic club that mows their lawn at 6 AM each Saturday, they refuse to stop

Fail Blog - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 08:15
This person has lost their ability to sleep in on a Saturday morning, and it inspired them to write an email in hopes that'll change.

Noise ordinances are in place for a reason. People rarely consider how much noise impacts their life until it's disrupting their day-to-day life.

What's a guy to do when sleep is disrupted every single weekend? For a lot of people, weekends are their only chances to sleep in, and they have to wake up at 7 or 8 AM the rest of the week. Not waking up to any kind of alarm is so restorative. But waking up to the loud whir of a lawn mower at 6 in the morning is like, the worst alarm clock in the world.

Neighbor selfishly places traffic cones to reserve parking spots on a busy street, new homeowners call him out: 'I just took the cones and put them in my garage'

Fail Blog - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 07:30
I used to think traffic cones meant a space was reserved for a good reason. Turns out, sometimes they just mean someone feels entitled to it.

Traffic cones are usually respected by drivers without question. And why wouldn't they be respected? They're meant to serve a purpose, and they typically signal something official, like construction zones or some kind of legitimate need. So it's only fair that they're given some respect.

But what if I told you some people place them there, not out of necessity or safety, but for their own convenience?

'Although people are scared of his breed, [the kittens] never were': Pregnant momma cat demands her pitbull best friend be by her side during delivery, he watches over her and gently helps her raise her kittens

LOL Cats - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 07:15
When this kitty went into labor, there was one creature who she wanted by her side more than anyone else - her best friend, Bully the pitbull. She needed her gentle giant to protect her.

We know exactly what people say, both about pitbulls as a breed and about cats and dogs being friends in general. They say "no". They say that pitulls shouldn't be around cats, for the cats' safety. And they say that cats and dogs cannot be friends at all, that the cats would be mean to the innocent doggos. This story proves both of these things wrong.

Of course, we, as people who love both cats and dogs, see this cat and pitbull best friends, and we are not surprised. But many people would be. Many people would look at this pair and see their situation as ridiculous, but who are they to judge? We choose our friends carefully. It's important for us to surround ourselves with people who we trust. The same is true for cats. Maybe even more than it is for us. They choose very carefully, and this cat chose this pitbull not only as her best friend, but also as her midwide and her kittens' babysitter.

Entitled customer forced to re-purchase ~$6000 of cedar decking because he was too proud to trust a delivery driver's warning: 'He told me that I am paid to drive not to ask stupid questions'

Fail Blog - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 06:45
He delivered a fresh order of comeuppance when this customer thought he knew better than a lowly delivery driver.

Why do customers always prejudge and disrespect the working man

As if the blue-collar delivery employee operating a forklift to offload 2 tons of solid cedar decking doesn't understand the nuances of their trade, this customer thought that he could badmouth his correspondent and get away with it. Well, instead of fighting back with an aggressive customer, this delivery driver decided to move forward with his $6000 drop off per the client's request, without question.

This resulted in the customer ultimately losing thousands of dollars and eating a slice of humble pie.

'If we ever move in together you might have to get rid of your cat': Boyfriend adamantly refuses to live with girlfriend's Siamese cat, 4 years later she catches them in the sweetest bromance

LOL Cats - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 06:30
It's always the ones who protest the most that fall the deepest in love. Insisting for years that he will never live with his girlfriend's cat because he "has allergies" and he's "never liked cats", she slowly watches their relationship grow into a bromance that will go down in history as the cutest cat-dad relationship ever.

Bromances have been a part of hooman relationships since the beginning of time, but only recently have we had a word to describe them. Men aren't known for being the most emotionally open with their male friends, as many of us were still raised with the "real men don't cry" method of teaching. Expressing your feelings as a man, especially to other men, was seen as a sign of weakness. Men don't feel things; they act.

Maybe this is why men have resisted loving cats for so long. Cats require you to be patient and listen to the feline's subtle language to understand what it wants, whereas dogs are more direct in their communication. When a dog wants something, it barks or alerts you to the problem. A cat can do the same, but mostly, they require a purrfectly nuanced understanding of feline body language. It already sounds kind of gendered, doesn't it? Men act, and so do dogs. Cats listen, and think, and so do women.

However, all of this changed with bromances. Men have become more willing to express themselves to each other, even daring to say "I love you". To us, it's purrfectly natural, but we understand that everyone has their own journey to go through. Our journey today involves two men, but one has two legs, and the other, four, and lots of "I love you"s.

He (the boyfriend) resisted loving his girlfriend's cat for as long as he could. He always said that if they moved in together, she would have to get rid of him. Well, she watched that barrier break down, and his love for her cutie-patootie cat grow day after day. He went beyond saying "I love you" to this Siamese cat - he got them matching shirts with each other's faces on them. That's one relationship full of love, and we can safely say that that silly Siamese isn't going anywhere.

32 Fantastically Fabulous Felines With Unique and Rare Fur Patterns and Markings

LOL Cats - Sat, 04/18/2026 - 05:45
Does your cat have a special spot that sets them out from the crowd of cute kitties?

All cats are beautiful - this is a fact. If you don't agree with us, the meowtaphorical door is that way. Even the most basic of standard-issue cats are awwdorable, in their own way. But the reality is that, the closer you look, you realize that each cat is unique in its own way. Maybe your tortie has more yellow spots than black, or purrhaps your calico cat looks like a Frankenstein of different patchwork parts, but to the random observer, they might never notice.

However, some fabulous felines are born with markings so unique that you could spot (see what we did there?) them from a mile away. Like a cat that looks like it's wearing pants, cats with eyebrows (this is our favorite rare marking, tbh), or cats with spots that look like the night sky full of stars. You don't see these kinds of kitties very often, but they're always such a feline feast for our cat-loving eyes.

Since they're rare and purrfectly difficult to find, we scoured the internet for some of the most meowrvelous felines with unique and rare fur patterns and markings. You can thank us later, but for now, it's time to gobble up all of these cute cats (with your eyes), and enjoy the supreme beauty of the feline species. Dog lovers can only wish their puppers were as beautiful as these cool cats and kittens.
