22 Sassy Pictures of Side-Eyeing Cats Who Are Seriously Not Impressed With Their Hoomans

Thu, 03/12/2026 - 15:00
Few creatures on earth deliver side-eye as well as a cat.

Cats hand out side-eye for the smallest reasons. You walk past them. Side-eye. You open a snack that isn't for them. Side-eye. You move a chair slightly to the left. Side-eye again. Somewhere in that little cat brain, a note has been taken and the look is being issued.

The move itself is subtle. The body stays completely still while the eyes shift just enough to check what you're doing. No big reaction, no dramatic head turn. Just a quiet glance from the corner of the eye that somehow feels very personal. A cat sitting across the room can deliver a side-eye strong enough to make you rethink your entire situation.

It doesn't even have to be something important. You could simply exist a little too loudly for a moment. Maybe you sneezed. Maybe you laughed. Maybe you opened the wrong cabinet. The cat notices everything and responds accordingly.

Another cat walking by can trigger it too. A slow look from across the couch like someone just stepped into their purrsonal space without permission. The message is clear: something suspicious is happening and the cat is keeping track.

One quick glance is usually enough. The cat gives the side-eye, processes the situation, and then returns to sitting there like nothing happened. Meanwhile you're left wondering what exactly you did to deserve that level of judgment.

'I guess we have a cat now': A snack run turns into a kitten rescue after a couple spots a tiny gray kitten in the middle of the road and gives her a forever home

Thu, 03/12/2026 - 14:00
Sometimes a quick snack run turns into a cat rescue.

It started with a random day off and a quick trip for fries and a soft serve. This rescuer had driven over to spend the day with her boyfriend, and the two of them decided to head out to a nearby fast food place off a busy four-lane highway. As they pulled into the parking lot, something small and gray appeared in the road ahead. They thought it was a squirrel and her boyfriend quickly pulled over and ran to see what it was.

Instead of a squirrel, he found a tiny gray kitten sitting right there in the road near a busy four-lane highway. He scooped her up, jogged back to the car, and gently placed her in the back seat. They both knew right then that she was coming home with them.

The kitten was only about six months old with a tiny little head and the sweetest meows. Despite everything, she was calm once she was safely in the car. There was no way she was going back anywhere near that road. The snack run had quietly turned into a rescue.

That little gray blur is now known as Wrenchwrench. She's grown into a confident house cat who spends her time doing important cat work, like enthusiastically shredding her scratcher and sitting proudly beside the evidence afterward. For a kitten who started out alone in the middle of a busy road, she seems very happy with how things turned out.

Little tortie kitten makes her way yelling and screaming up to person in their driveway, and they become the best of friends: 'She practically jumped into my arms'

Thu, 03/12/2026 - 13:00
There's no second guessing here; this tortie really chose this person.

The story is simple and pure. This woman was at her place just in her driveway, when she hears a tiny kitten quite literally screaming and running up to her. She immediately takes her in and they go to the vet. The little girl is only 4 months old, and she decides she's been chosen, so there's nothing she can do. She keeps the brazen little girl, and the rest is history! Torties are known to be aggressively decisive and affectionate. So this woman just got lucky. Read everything below for the full story and comments.

21 Catnapped Cat Memes for Criminals Only Interested in Cats

Thu, 03/12/2026 - 12:00
Gotcha!

You know who are. Some crimes are serious, but others lack a certain…criminality. Stealing hearts is one thing, hoarding cat photos, or being hopelessly obsessed with whiskered cuties are all worse that you think! Catnapping is on the rise. This collection of catnapped memes might be exactly what your criminal mind is looking for. They're charming, mischievous, and ridiculous. They feature the true masterminds of chaos: cats who seem to have no care in the world as to laws or common sense. One moment they're sitting quietly like innocent little angels, and the next they're launching themselves off the wall trying to do parkour. They're not even doing it to be entertaining, they're really just that insane.

Of course, every great criminal operation requires a variety of personalities and skillsets. There's sneak, stealth, brains, brawn, and everything else. The beauty of these cat memes is how relatable they are. Even people who don't live with cats can understand the universal humor of a fluffy creature acting like the main character of the universe. A cat staring suspiciously at nothing? Suspicious….A kitten attacking it's own reflection…even more suspicious.

These little outlaws mirror your criminality as a catnapper. The cats themselves seem like natural criminals, but they're too cute to be arrested. They sneak around quietly, plot strange night activities and zoomies, and treat your belongings with the upmost disrespect. But at I Can Has Cheezburger, we want to encourage you to keep on keeping on with cat memes. Enjoy these bandit little cuties!

23 Funny Photos of Other Pawrents’ Crazy Cat Children Causing Chaos in their Homes

Thu, 03/12/2026 - 11:00
Cats are known for their chaos causing abilities, which for their pawrents is quite the challenge to handle. But when it is other people's cats expelling their mad energy in their own homes, the viewing experience is just delicious.

Sure, we are getting enjoyment at the expense of others' misfortune. But considering that most of us who are enjoying this madness are cat pawrents ourselves who often have to handle such chaotic events within the walls of our own homes, it is ok. And let's face it, there are not many feline related things that are more enjoyable when you look at them happening in someone else's house.

So we implore you to indulge in this delicious collection of chaotic cats so that you can for a few brief moments enjoy the misfortunes of others until your turn to ride the crazy cat carousel in your home comes back around again. Because it's coming is inevitable and when it comes for you, you will most certainly not be laughing the way you will while perusing this list.

Cat who fell from balcony railing and disappeared for 5 days found in landfill next to home after pawrent’s father heard desperate meows, cat mom says: ‘Took me around 4 hours to rescue her, hurt my arm in the process’

Thu, 03/12/2026 - 10:00
Cats are not known for falling, but that is exactly what happened to one cat who uncharacteristically fell off a balcony only to be found several days later in a place that they could not jump out off.

Ues, the irony is not lost on us. The two things that cats are known for, balance and jumping, were exactly what this cat was lacking or unable to do. Had they been able to do one or the other then there would hardly be a story to tell but alas here we are with one heck of a feline story to tell.

For when our cat mom came to visit the sweet cat child she had to leave behind in her home country she would have never imagined that the limited time she had with her cat child would be spent searching for it. But that is what happened when the cat unceremoniously fell off the balcony and was not to be seen for another five days.

Fostering volunteer left heartbroken after a "forever home" returns a kitten only 48 hours later, venting her frustration to the online cat community: 'Everybody wants to adopt a kitten, but they don't know what they will take on.'

Thu, 03/12/2026 - 09:00
Every cat deserves a home. But not every home deserves a cat.

It's a universal truth agreed upon by cat lovers worldwide - leaving cats unattended, stranded, or abandoned is a big no-no, to say the least. All cats deserve love, affection, and definitely a full belly. All cats deserve a home. But that's not true at any cost. The cost of a "wrong" home, so to speak, is much higher for a cat than to stay a little longer in their foster care - just like this one beautiful void kitten in Hungary just experienced.

For a cat, constant house moving can be traumatic. So for this kitten to be adopted, only to be returned two days later, it must be harsh. No person has the right to cause this to a cat. But sure enough, it's good that the family who realized they didn't want a kitten (better late than never - but "in advance" would've been appreciated…) returned him to his foster lady, and didn't dump the cat alone instead.

We will try to follow this beautiful black kitten in hopes that he finds a true, stable, and loving forever home.

Guy pities neighbor's orange cat and gives him some chicken, the cat keeps hissterically returning with stolen items to trade for treats: 'Today, he brought me a sponge'

Thu, 03/12/2026 - 08:00
He now runs what we like to call the "underground orange market".

If dogs are the paladins of the pet world, then cats are the rogues. They're naturally shady, can sneak into nearly any location, and you never see them coming. They can pick any lock and steal any treasure. Not only can they do it, but they like doing it. There's a reason why there's a term called "cat burglars". We have to imagine that the person who coined that term didn't just name them that because they didn't like cats.

And the best part yet is that cats can be trained to steal, although it's usually done unintentionally. If you've ever owned a feline or two, you've probably expurrienced them leaving "gifts" for you. These gifts can be anything from leaves they hunted to rodents, to random pieces of garbage they found. Cats basically think that we hoomans are giant, dumb cats who don't know how to hunt, so sometimes they bring back presents to share with us so we don't starve.

Well, one neighborhood orange cat started to take this concept to the extreme (as most oranges do). After a friendly fellow fed him a piece of chicken, the cat started leaving him gifts in order to get more chicken. These weren't your average gifts. Apparently, he even brought him a full granola bar and a sponge to trade for some chicken.

Whether he liked it or not, he's now running a mini "orange" market where he gets people's stolen goods for a morsel of chicken. Will he use his new powers for good or for evil? We guess you'll find out below.

'It feels like I have a missing piece of me back again': 2 years after breakup, ex's new girlfriend reaches out to the old one, begging her to "come get these d*ng cats", and the felines couldn't be happier to be back in their real home

Thu, 03/12/2026 - 07:00
Sometimes, we forget that in toxic relationships, the cats go through it too.

Adopting a cat with your partner can sound like such a great idea to untrained ears, but to us, it sounds more like trouble than anything else. We are all for adopting cats, we want to make sure that is clear, but adopting cats together… that is something that, in our opinion, should be reserved for very well-established relationships. Because it is all fun and games until a breakup happens and a custody battle over the cat ensues.

Both partners in the relationship bond with the cats. Sometimes, it's a clear choice who the cat will go to after a breakup, but other times, it is not. Sometimes, people talk about splitting up bonded pairs of cats after breakups. Sometimes, people use cats as a card in a breakup, trying to get the cat from the other person to cause them pain. But no matter what it is, the first victim of the whole situation is, of course, the cat. And that is why we hate it. When the relationship is toxic, the cat suffers too, and it is important to remember that and then to act accordingly.

'[He was] being chased off properties by mean people': Kind woman rescues abandoned, limping cat on Christmas day, three months later, he goes through a complete transformation, is happy and thriving

Thu, 03/12/2026 - 06:00
Rescuing a stray cat will change the cat's entire life.

We mean that. Rescuing a cat is not simply a "nice thing" to do. For you, maybe it's something small. Maybe it's an inconvenient couple of hours - rescuing the cat and getting it to a shelter. But for the cat, it is everything. It is life-changing. For the cat, it is an act of kindness that will change their whole world, that will make them transform. And for some cats, it is even more than that. For some cats, rescuing them means saving their lives.

Some cats are used to living on the streets. They know how to deal with the roughness of it all, and they won't even go near humans, even ones like us who would be very happy to pet them. Other cats though, abandoned cats who once had families, they don't understand the cruelty of the outside world. The kitty in today's story is one of them. We don't know who abandoned this cat or when, but we do know that he has been reaching out to humans for a long time and getting turned away. We know that we was injured and in pain when he was finally found on Christmas day. And we know that in weather like that, with bad health like his, and with people turning him away at every corner, slowly but surely eroding his trust in humans, rescuing him that day most likely saved his life.

Indoor-outdoor cat Biscuit lives a double life to get free lunches, secretly demanding snacks every day from the elderly couple next door: 'My kid has a whole second family'

Wed, 03/11/2026 - 17:00
There's no denying it, our cats live secret lives when we're not around.

It's not that felines are inherently disloyal; it's just that beyond the front door lies the sweet promise of tasty treats, the touch of grass under their toe beans, and the winds of freedom upon their whiskers. Who are we, as cat lovers, to deny a cat the full spectrum of the feline experience?

22 Mischievous Memes of Sneaky Cats Who Think Their Plan Is Working Purrfectly

Wed, 03/11/2026 - 16:00
Every cat thinks it is an expert in stealth.

Cats take sneakiness very seriously. The slow creeping, the careful pauses, the intense staring at something across the room. In their minds this is a highly skilled operation. They are moving quietly, blending into the surroundings, waiting for the perfect moment.

They take one small step forward, then freeze. Another step, then another long pause. The target could be a toy, a dangling cord, or a mysterious movement only the cat seems to notice. Whatever it is, the cat approaches it with the focus of a tiny hunter on a mission.

The hiding spots are always impressive in theory. Tucking itself behind a chair leg or  halfway behind a curtain, every cat always thinks its disguise is flawless. From everyone else's perspective, a very large portion of the cat is still very visible.

Eventually the sneaking reaches its final stage. The cat launches forward in a sudden pounce, convinced the plan has worked perfectly. The toy gets tackled, the foot gets ambushed, or the mysterious moving speck gets a full investigation.

After all that creeping and careful planning, the cat sits there looking extremely pleased with the results. As far as they're concerned, that was a masterclass in stealth.

'I figured it was fate and adopted her': After a tiny calico clings to her at PetSmart just like her first cat once did, this pawrent knew she was bringing home cat number two

Wed, 03/11/2026 - 15:00
Every once in a while, a cat grabs on and refuses to let go.

The moment she was picked up outside a PetSmart, this tiny cat clung tightly, almost like she had already made up her mind that this was her new hooman. It felt familiar too. Two years earlier, the same thing happened when adopting another cat named Kenzie from the same place. That moment of instant connection made the choice feel easy. It seemed like fate had stepped in again.

Now named Calypso, the petite calico has already started settling into her new home. Despite being around two years old, she's surprisingly small, which only adds to her charm. What she might lack in size, she more than makes up for in affection. Calypso loves to snuggle and seems perfectly happy curling up with her new human whenever she gets the chance.

The best surprise so far is how smoothly she's fitting into the household. Kenzie, the resident cat, appears to be getting along with her just fine. That early harmony has made the transition feel even more special. Instead of a stressful introduction, it looks like the two cats might be well on their way to becoming companions.

'Found this little cuddle puddle sleeping in the dirt today': Kind man sees a pile of kittens outside peacefully asleep, he doesn't have the heart to wake them but watches over them

Wed, 03/11/2026 - 14:00
Who could wake a sleeping cuddle puddle?

Imagine going about your day when you see not one, but a pile of kittens fast asleep on the ground? They're beautiful and all different kinds. This gentle human who saw them saw that they were fast asleep in dirt, and didn't have the heart to wake them up. He also didn't want to just leave them there, so he decided to bring them some water, and sit and wait to see what happens. What will happen in the end? Read the full story below to find out.

21 Funny Pics of Felines Whose Brains Have Turned into Bleps

Wed, 03/11/2026 - 13:00
Some cats can be incredibly clever, but there are those who seem to be lacking more than a few brain cells and when they stay that way for an extended period of time, you end up with the bleps that we have in store for you in this list.

It is a funny phenomenon, that such a smart animal as a cat could ever have such cognitively challenged characters amongst them. But such is the way of the feline world and there are more than a few of these forgetful freddies and dumb dumb deborahs in the world. And while you might have assumed that they have little to contribute to society, after all, they will most certainly not be advancing any feline facets of life.

The truth is that what they lack in smarts they more than make up for in cuteness and comedy. Which is why we made this list of feline funnies of the cats hanging on to reality by the string of a single brain cell. So sit back and grab an apron so that none of these silly Sallys splash back upon your smart brain.

Cat tricks sitter and escapes while mom out of town, leading to a 4 day search only for the cat to be caught outside owners home by neighbor, cat mom says: ‘She looked out her window and saw him sitting in front of my door just yelling his head off.’

Wed, 03/11/2026 - 12:00
You might have thought that there is no way a cat can outsmart a hooman who has been warned of their trickery. But as you'll come to find in this story, all it takes is a short lapse in concentration for the cat to get their way.

They are incredibly crafty in this way our cats are. They do it with almost everything. Most notably with food, especially when there are two hoomans involved it is not unheard of for a cat to try and convince both hoomans to feed them even if they have already been fed by one of them. And just as in this story, all it takes is a moment of lapsed concentration for a cat to get what they want. But that does not excuse the person who was being paid to concentrate from being held responsible for ensuring the cat would not get the better of them.

But that is just the way that the cookie crumbled in this story and it is a stark reminder to us all to be ultra vigilant when looking after cats that are not your own. They are such a crafty bunch that you truly cannot know how they are going to try and get the better of you.

Woman spends a week wondering why her cat is screaming at the couch, only to find a professional feline ninja hiding under the cushions: 'Uh… This is not my cat.'

Wed, 03/11/2026 - 11:00
Another "Not My Cat" is on his way to turning into "Now My Cat".

It's not that uncommon to find a feline guest at your home. It happens way more often than you'd think. You might live on the seventh floor, but a stray cat will force their way inside without a problem. And usually, the cat seems to know exactly which house with which humans can turn into their forever home. This meowgical ability is normally embedded by the Cat Distribution System, the body that mysteriously knows to match the cat with the person, and the person with the cat (which is no less impurrtant).

And this little void is no different. In fact, despite the hilarity of the situation, we were not surprised for even a second reading about this "Not My Cat"'s ninja abilities. This is the most cat thing to do. And if you've ever found a feline guest in your house, you know exactly what we're talking about. Because it's their house now, obviously.

Purrs, Play, and Precious Meowing Moments Made of 22 Cat Memes

Wed, 03/11/2026 - 10:00
A house full of cats is a house full of love.

There is a persistent myth that dogs hold the exclusive title of "man's best friend", but any cat pawrent knows that feline companionship offers a deep, soul-soothing meowgic that is entirely unique. A home filled with purrs, play, and those precious meowing moments is a sanctuary of wholesome joy. While they might not fetch a ball (but some might), cats are our quietest confidants and most loyal BFFs, offering a slow-blink of trust that feels like winning a gold medal of life.

Whether they are making biscuits on your favorite sweater or greeting you with a tiny trill at the end of a long day, cats fill our lives with a soft and steady presence. They prove that being a best friend isn't just about high-energy greetings - it's about the comfort of shared silence and the warmth of a sleeping floof on your lap. From the first kitten mew to the dignity of a senior cat's head-bonk, these are the bonds that truly make a house a home.

'Nobody wanted her': Patient pawrent adopts the scaredy cat the shelter advised against, and after years of building trust, they fall asleep cuddling every night

Wed, 03/11/2026 - 09:00
Some cats take longer to open up than others, and that's purrfectly okay. Cats need to move at their own pace.

Cats are very sensitive to changes in their environment, even if its bringing them to a home full of love and safety. To them, it's a new territory with new people and pawssible new dangers around every corner. This is why most cats after adoption will run and hide for a few days. It's purrfectly natural. They're sussing out their new space, trying to understand the rhythm, where is safe and where is scary, and adjusting to life around new hoomans. They will eventually learn to trust you and their new home, but you have to give them the time they need to properly decompress and open up.

Some cats are better than others, and some cats are extremely difficult cases, like our void below. The shelter warned her new pawrent that she was extremely anxious (relatable), the only way the cat could be touched was if she was wrapped in a purrito, for everyone's safety. She adopted her anyway because if she didn't, who would?

It took a lot of time, and a lot of patience. A lot of hunger strikes, until one day, the scaredy cat decided to test the waters and take some food from her hands. Even after that improvement, every noise had her running back to her hiding spot, and yet, the pawrent purrsisted. Now, the cat confidently walks around her house, begs for food, and falls asleep on her chest every night.

They say good things come to those who wait, and that's especially true with cats. Some felines need a lot of time to open their hearts, but once they do, you'll never know a love more purrre and heartwarming.

'Foster fail, incoming': Couple brings a kitten to foster, two hours later, she's captured the boyfriend's heart and is holding it in her little paw, and they know that it's game over and they have a new cat

Wed, 03/11/2026 - 08:00
We always say: it's the cat that chooses the human, not the human that chooses the cat.

No matter how many times we say it, people still seem surprised. Despite the fact that this is a well-known fact in the cat community at this point, people still make the choice to foster cats, as if there isn't an incredibly high chance that those cats would adopt them. It doesn't matter at all whether you were intending to adopt the cat or not. You could "hate cats" and still get adopted by a cat. You would "not want to have cats ever" and still be adopted by a cat. You might even be in a position where you already "have enough cats", and still, a cat might see you as the purrfect forever home, and you will have no choice but to accept it.

So, really, the boyfriend and girlfriend in this story should have known the risk that they were taking. And still, the bond that they have created with this cat and that this cat has created with them seems to have taken them by surprise. Of course, when the bond builds in less than two hours, maybe we would have been surprised as well, but nah, we don't think so.
