30 Meowing Memes to Face Monday Like a Ferocious Feline

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 06:30
Mondays are rough. But Mondays without a boost of cat confidence are even rougher.

When a cat person tries to start another workweek, we get why it's more difficult than for the average person to do so. Days when we need to go out and live our indoor kings and queens at home, ruling their feline kingdoms with no human subjects to order around, are truly traumatic. Both for you and your cat. You must be absolutely devastated that you need to leave your cat alone after spending a feline-filled weekend with them. As cat pawrents, we totally understand. And for your cat? Well, your feline overlord must miss ordering someone around, controlling their lap, and occupying their thoughts.

But that's why we want to give you that boost of cat confidence to start your Monday like a cat ruling their domestic kingdom. Now, the line between cat confidence and cat madness is very thin, but that's exactly what sustains a great Monday mindset, instead of the regular bummer that it is starting the week.

And obviously, the best way to meow the mood up is greeting Monday with a bunch of cat memes. They're as crazy as cats, they're as funny as cats, and they're most definitely as Cat™ as cats. And that's why a Monday started with some online feline funnies is a much better Monday than most.

Man rescues and falls in love with starving stray cat, who completely changes him from "stubborn dog person" to feline fanatic with only a cute face and cuddles

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 05:45
All it takes is one cat to convince you that you've lived your whole life as a lie.

We grew up in a multi-pet household, but probably not what you're imagining. We grew up with 3-5 dogs at the same time, around two cats, and two horses. Everyone thinks it's really cool to have horses as pets, until you tell them that it's your job every Saturday and Sunday to muck their stalls, but we digress. All of this is to say that we grew up loving animals, but we were always partial to our dogs.

That was, until we adopted our first cat as an adult. We had always pictured ourselves adopting a dog, but our lifestyle wouldn't allow it, so we went for the more independent choice - a cat. And from that meowment, everything changed.

We realized, like our now-cat-dad below, just how meowrvelous cats truly are. You don't have to take them out three or even four times a day to go to the bathroom, they can give you just as many cuddles and emotional support, and they're just as happy to see you come home at the end of the day. It's like all the purrks of having a dog, without any of the downsides.

Now-cat-dad goes on to list even more reasons why he was happily converted to being a feline fanatic, and for any of you other former dog-lovers out there, we think you'll resonate purrfeclty with what he's saying.

Cats are better pets than dogs, and that's a statement we'll defend until our last breath.

Deaf man goes viral for wearing his famously calm cat as a hat while going through TSA checks at Tampa airport: 'That cat got first class vibes'

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 04:00
In Tampa, Florida, Jeremy Smith, AKA the "BeltLine Cat Guy" caused quite an uproar by taking his fuzzy friend with him through TSA and onto the plane…as a hat! Frontier Airlines says they never expurrienced a passenger so purrfectly well-behaved, and honestly, we believe it.

When Dr. Seuss wrote "The Cat in the Hat", we're not quite sure this is what he was imagining. However, this is far better.

Jeremy Smith, AKA the "BeltLine Cat Guy", was born deaf. He adopted Whisker when she was maybe 3-months-old, from a homeless man who offered her to him for $100. After about two weeks of training, Whisker became comfortable sitting on Jeremy's shoulders, even riding on his bike with him. From there, Whisker adopted her adorable spot on top of his head.

This purrfect pair is almost always seen together, Whisker calmly riding on Jeremy's head while he goes about his day. We've seen a lot of cats in our time as writers for I Can Has Cheezburger, including people who travel the world with their cats, but we've never seen one as calm and collected as Whisker. She just sits there, patiently, while people "oooooh" and "awwww" over her cuteness (we're pretty sure she's silently judging everyone from above, but we can't prove it).

Recently, Whisker and Jeremy were found going through Tampa TSA while Whisker was purrfectly perched on top of his headphones, like a hat. She went through all the security checkpoints with more poise than 99% of the hoomans there, but we have been informed that she did go into her carrier upon entering the plane, according to Frontline animal pawlicy. She was still better behaved than most of the hooman customers, though.

34 of the Funniest and Freshest Feline Tweets to Fill Your Week With Pawsitivity (March 30, 2026)

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 03:15
Here comes your weekly cat twitter recap!

Another week is starting, and if this one is going to be in any way like the last one, then we do not think that we are ready. It feels like every single week for the past- couple of years has been getting more and more dramatic. Truly, we don't know how to handle all of it. Actually, that is not true. We know exactly what we do to stay sane. We go on social media. Of course, that might sound counterproductive, but it's not. Because the reason that we go on social media is in search of one thing and one thing only - viral cat tweets

Every single week, we put together this collection of the most viral, best cat tweets of the week. This is why we keep going on there. This is why we keep sifting through the madness. Because here, at ICHC, we are providers. We want to save you the trouble of looking through all the crazy online, trying to find the one cat gem around. We collect all the gems into one weekly collection for you, right here. And one thing that we have to say is that no matter how insane things are outside, the cat tweets are always ameowzing.

20 Meowgnificent Cat Facts to Knock Your Whiskers Off

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 12:00
Your cat is way smarter, weirder, and more intentional than you think

You might think your cat is just sleeping, staring at walls, and occasionally choosing violence,  but there's actual meaning behind almost everything they do. These random facts will make you look at them a little differently (and maybe question who's really in charge).

22 Silly Pictures of Cats Taking Spring Cleaning Into Their Own Paws

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 11:15
You didn't hire help, but it showed up anyway.

Spring cleaning season hits and these cats are suddenly very busy. No one gave them a job, but they've clearly assigned themselves one anyway. The house has been taken over by a full team of extremely confident, mildly helpful employees.

There's always one handling dishes, standing by the sink like they've got a full shift ahead of them. Another is fully locked in on vacuum duty, treating it like serious work despite not fully understanding what's going on. And of course, there's at least one supervisor, watching everything closely and making sure absolutely nothing is done correctly.

They approach every task with full commitment. Paws involved, intense focus, zero hesitation. It doesn't matter if the technique is questionable or if they're mostly in the way, the effort is undeniable. In their minds, they are carrying this entire operation.

Things might take a little longer than planned, mostly because someone is standing directly where you need to be or investigating the tools mid-use. But at least you're not doing it alone.

The results might not be spotless, but the house is definitely being interacted with. The team is fully engaged, the system is questionable, and somehow it still feels like progress.

22 Peaceful Memes of Cats Mastering Mindfulness and Meowditation

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 10:30
The cat reached inner peace years ago.

Cats don't sign up for meditation, they just wander into it and stay there. One minute they're walking around, the next they're sitting still like they've reached full meownlightenment. Eyes half closed, slow blinks, not a single thought behind those whiskers. Pure pawsitivity.

They've got the poses down too. The loaf is basically their default setting, fully grounded, no limbs, no problems. Curling into a tight little circle? That's deep focus. And then there's the stretched-out sunbeam situation, which feels like a full body reset. No instructions needed, they just flow into it.

Breathing? Controlled. Movements? Minimal. Distractions? Ignored. Maybe an ear flick, maybe a tiny tail twitch, and then right back to being completely still. It's like they're guarding their inner purr-eace at all costs. Meanwhile, everyone else can't sit still for more than thirty seconds without checking something.

The difference is cats don't overthink it. No goals, no tracking, no trying to "get better" at it. They just exist, fully relaxed, completely unbothered, like they've already figured it out. If anyone's mastered staying zen, it's them.

'We moved into a new house and it came with a cat': Outdoor neighborhood cat slowly earns family's trust, moves in for winter, and becomes the one extra cat they swore they wouldn’t get

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 09:45
Not every home comes with a cat, but this one did.

From the first day this family moved in, this cat was already there, hanging around like she'd always been part of the house. It started small. Food left out, time spent sitting outside at night, letting her curl up on a lap, blankets set out so she had somewhere warm. Nothing official, just helping where possible.

Over time, it stopped feeling temporary. She kept coming back, getting more comfortable, staying closer each time. She'd be there waiting, ready to settle in like it was already routine. It slowly became part of everyday life without anyone really deciding it would. Still, one rule stayed in place: no more cats. The house was already full, and that wasn't supposed to change.

Then winter came, and that rule didn't really hold up.

The cold made it hard to leave her outside. What started as helping from a distance turned into bringing her in "just for now." She didn't hesitate. She came in, looked around, and settled like it made sense. Then came the vet visits, making sure she was okay, getting her healthier and back on track.

Now she's inside, safe, warm, and clearly where she belongs. The cat that came with the house didn't just stop by, she moved in and stayed.

'CDS brought me two cats and a human friend too': Kind couple wants a feline duo, neighbor happens to have sister and brother cats in need of a home

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 08:00
When life offers you two cats and a human friend, you don't say no.

This couple decided it's time to adopt cats again. They want a pair of cats so that they don't get lonely, and started looking at nearby rescues for a feline duo. But then, he sees a post from a woman in a local group looking for help finding a home for a friendly stray she's been caring for. He reaches out and mentions that he and his wife really preferred to adopt two cats together. But lo and behold, the cat has a sister! He claims she's not as outgoing as he is and doesn't like strangers, but she's friendly and both cats will be together now. He and his wife then spend the next day getting their apartment ready to bring in these two kitties. And not only did they get two cats like they wanted, they have a human friend as well! He will get them both microchipped since they've been living as strays in the neighborhood for 4 years. The woman who was taking care of them had been feeding them and giving them monthy flea/parasite prevention meds. Read the full story below for all the wholesome details.

‘My cat literally saved [my husband's] life!’: 20+ owners share the incredible stories of when their feline friend’s sixth sense woke them up just in time

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 07:15
Every cat pawrent knows their cats are brave. Most of the time, cats are brave in the face of the danger posed by a hair-tie flying too fast across the room. But some other times, cats show true resourcefulness in the face of very real imminent disasters. And when these are about to happen when we're asleep, when we have no way to know dangerous events are about to unfold, it's good to know we can count on our feline family members to alert us. We asked our very own ICHC online cat community to share these times when their cats woke them up in the middle of the night for a justified reason. The stories below truly touched our hearts. And some even made us laugh out loud.

28 Feline Funnies for a Better Browsing Experience Online

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 06:30
Cat memes are the best thing for your mental health.

This is true always, of course, but it is especially true on days like this, when going online feels like walking into a burning building. It's crazy out there, we know it from experience. Of course, we continue going online. We continue putting ourselves in the line of fire - to look for the things that we actually want to see. And obviously, the things that we want to see the most - always, but especially now - are funny cat memes

The good thing about the internet is that, whatever is going on in the world, the cat meme production never stops. There are always hilarious cat memes going viral, and we can only say thank you - again and again. Because gently snorting at cat memes throughout our day, scrolling through them when we have a spare moment here and there, that is what is keeping us sane right meow. Of course, it would be nicer to be able to go online and find only the silly cat memes that we are looking for, but we can't quite do that… but you can. Because we take the fire for you to creatre wholesome and pure collections like these.

18-year-old triplets kindly adopt grandmother's cat, only for their cousin to show up a year and a half later claiming the cat is hers, threatening to call the police or steal him: 'She suddenly grabbed Tom'

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 05:45
Our cat's needs should always come first.

It's difficult, in certain situations, especially when it comes to animals that you love, to think of what is best for them instead of for you. In breakups, for example, when there are cats involved, suddenly, there are custody battles over the cats. Both partners may want the cat, but ultimately, it's the cat who should choose who to go with. And cats do choose their humans. You cannot argue with them. They will run away from you and straight to their chosen one if you try, so you might as well listen from the get-go.

Cats bond with their humans in ways that non-cat owners could never understand. They miss us when we're gone, they show their love for us in whatever ways they can, and breaking that bond will leave the cat a shell of what it used to be. That was the fear for the triplet cat owners in this story. Their grandmother's cat who was given to them after she could no longer take care of him bonded with them - truly and fiercely. So when their cousin showed up out of the blue, demanding the cat, because it was "legally" hers, that… created some problems. But the cat has to come first.

'You belong to me now, got it?': Tiny feral barn kitten leaves animal-loving farmer no choice when she wholesomely adopts him to be her new dad

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 04:00
No matter how manly and rugged you are, when a barn kitten chooses you as her new dad, you say, "Yes, thank you."

Cats don't care if you're big or small, manly or feminine, or rich or poor, they just want you to serve their every whim and fancy for the rest of their lives. And by "serve them", we mean love them, but sometimes, it really feels like serving. Especially when they randomly decide they don't like their food they've been eating for years now, and you have to run out and get a whole new brand just so they will end their spontaneous hunger strike.

They also don't care if you've never had a cat before, or if you even like cats. That's what happened to our animal-loving farmer below, who knows a lot about cows and chickens, but nothing about kittens. That is, until he posted some pictures of his new daughter online and asked for advice. Thankfully, the cat community came to his rescue, and the two are purrfectly ready to start to build a new life together as father and daughter, or master and servant.

Orange cat adopts bunny that was abandoned by its mother as a baby; now treats the kitty as her pawrent in adorable grooming video

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 03:15
Cat and bunny grooming ASMR is the type of content we didn't know we needed until right now.

One of the best things about cats is their willingness to adopt other animals into their fluffy families. Be they puppies without a mom, a lonely otter abandoned at birth, or even an adult dog that's looking for a four-legged best friend. But one of the most purrfect relationships between cats and other animals is the one between a cat and a bunny. And not just because it's almost too cute to handle.

Cats groom as a sign of affection and dominance, like a mother cat helping bathe her kittens. Whereas, in bunnies, they get groomed as a sign of affection and dominance. So, a cat bathing a bunny thinks that it is doing the bunny a favor, treating it like its child, and the bunny getting groomed thinks that it's doing the cat a favor! Both animals end up happy and fulfilled, and we get to watch one of the cutest things known to hoomankind. It's a win-win-win scenario.

Today's video centers around a bunny who was abandoned by its mother at birth, and was then promptly adopted by an orange cat. The two developed the sweetest relationship, as you will see below, by how the bunny literally flops into the cat's arms and relaxes while getting groomed. It's the purrfect way to finish your weekend with a few minutes of wholesomeness. Now, we just need about 200 more videos like this, and then we'll be satisfied.

A Caturday Kitty Concoction of Cute Cats to Stimulate the Silly Center of Your Soul

Sat, 03/28/2026 - 17:00
Cats have the purrfectly unique ability to make us laugh simply by being themselves - it's one of the many joys of being a cat owner. And especially on Caturdays, we feel it's pawsitively impurrtant to stimulate your soul with soul-nourishing goodness and giggles. It seems like cats are always the answer!

As cat pawrents, we've had to upgrade our storage in our iCloud many times to accomodate all the hissterical pictures of our cats we like to keep on our phones. Why? Because each one is purrecious, and we can't even think of parting with any of them. Also, because on days like today, when we need to fill ourselves up with pawsitivity, the fastest and easiest way is to simply scroll through our cats' pictures.

We have many of them where they look regal, meowjestic, like the purrfect models, and then we have the cursed images that make us laugh until we cry. Each one makes us fall more and more in love with our babies, and it never gets old. But, as much as we love the meowdelistic pictures, the best ones are the ones that show off their true purrsonality.

These pictures activate the silly center of our souls, and each cat owner has their own pics that do the same. We rounded up some of the silliest cat pics from pawrents around, and put them all in one Caturday kitty concoction for you to enjoy. Give yourself a good giggle and revel in all the meowrvelousness that comes with our furbulous feline friends!

Grandmother crosses the rainbow bridge and wished only for her cat Sanji to have a furrever home when she's gone, her grandson adopts him to keep her memory alive: 'Everything happens for a reason'

Sat, 03/28/2026 - 16:00
There's a light at the end of the tunnel, and it lies in this grandson adopting his grandmother's cat.

He's 50% fluff, and 100% adorable. This guy lost his grandmother on December 1st. She got this cat after her husband crossed the rainbow bridge for an emotional support pet. She grew so fond of him and the cat really helped the grandmother get through the loss of her husband without feeling alone in her day to day routine. Cats can be so incredible about filling the void when we go through something. Before she crossed the rainbow bridge, she asked her daughter to promise her that she would take him in if anything happened to her. Sanji, her cat, was brought in from the animal shelter, and she didn't want him to end back there or feel rejected or end up in an unloving family. Her daughter promised, but unfortunately it didn't work out. Her own cat didn't like that Sanji came. And so the protagonist wanted to take Sanji but he also had two cats already, Arthur and Marcel.

Then, Arthur also crossed the rainbow bridge. Now that he only has his one cat Marcel, he felt it's the right time to take Sanji, not only for himself but for his grieving cat. Marcel and Sanji hit it off immediately – they play together, run around everywhere. And Sanji turned out to be similar to Arthur, and it was all a purrfect fit. He didn't expect to have a second cat so quickly, but it's heartwarming that he could take the cat in and help his family and his grandmother's wishes. He truly believes everything happens for a reason, and at I Can Has Cheeezburger, we agree with him in this story.

20 Feline Funnies Shedding Caturday Clawmedy Like Cat Fur in Spring

Sat, 03/28/2026 - 15:00
When spring has sprung, so does the fur from our cat's body. It's everywhere, and shedding season has only just begun. So while we drown in our cat's winter coat, we're here shedding the cat memes everywhere, much like our feline friends are doing with their fur.

We get winter hoarding. Really, we understand. It's like an evolutionary need to maintain yourself with literally everything to make sure the cold doesn't win. While cats hoard their fur, floofing up their coat as their life depends on it, we hoard memes. You know, that's just the Cheezburger way. We hoard warm memes for cold nights, and the I Can Has Cheezburger team hoards so many cat memes that we have a surplus by the time spring arrives. And when spring arrives, shedding season begins. Cats shed their fur, and we shed all the extra winter memes we had.

So what's more cat memes if not the blooming of the flowery garden of comedy that we grow here? The more cat memes, the more we feel like the warmth of the spring sun makes us happy. And we're all about sharing this joy with other cat people worldwide. So here are more cat memes we have from winter. Just have them, for no particular reason. Just take them and save them. Maybe even hoard them for next winter or something, we don't know, we're not here to tell you what to do.

22 Cattastic Memes of Cats Being Your Weekend Workout Meowtivation

Sat, 03/28/2026 - 13:00
You start your workout and suddenly you've got a purrsonal trainer.

Cats don't go to the gym for you, but they do become your workout meowtivation whether you asked for it or not. The second you start, they show up like this is a shared activity now. Sitting nearby, watching everything, making it very hard to ignore them and very easy to get distracted.

They've got their own routine going too. One long stretch, fully extended, like they're showing you how it's done. A quick jump onto something high counts as plyometrics. A few slow steps around the space is their cardio. It's not much, but they act like it counts.

There's something about it that keeps you going though. You look over, they're just there, completely calm, completely committed to doing exactly what they want. No stress, no overthinking, just showing up and moving when it feels right.

By the end, they're stretched out somewhere comfortable, fully relaxed like they finished a full session. Meanwhile, you're still trying to catch your breath. They didn't do much, but somehow they still feel like the most consistent one there.

'Our family of 2 has turned into 3': Couple looking to adopt finds abandoned clingy cat on the streets and gives Velcro a safe, loving home

Sat, 03/28/2026 - 12:00
This rescue cat came with zero sense of personal space and full commitment to cuddles.

Some cats like their space, and then there's Velcro, who clearly believes purrsonal space is more of a suggestion. This clingy little legend, also known as Velvie (and very deservedly Sir Clings-a-Lot), went from having no one to suddenly having everything. His start wasn't easy. He was abandoned on the streets, left without care, unvaccinated, and even had to deal with other cats picking on him. Not exactly the kind of beginning any cat deserves.

But Velcro didn't stay down for long.

Once his story reached the right people, it was game over in the best way. This family of two didn't think twice, they knew he belonged with them. Just like that, two became three, and Velcro finally got his upgrade from street life to full-time indoor cat with built-in humans.

He's clearly making the most of it. With a name like Velcro, you already know he's not going anywhere. He's the kind of cat who sticks close, follows you around, and makes sure you're never alone for too long. No independence here, just full commitment to being as close as possible at all times.

From rough beginnings to nonstop snuggles, Velvie didn't just find a home, he found his people.

A Soft Pillow Full of 25 Feline Funnies for your Weary Head to Rest On

Sat, 03/28/2026 - 11:00
It has been a long week and we all need a good break from the realities of the world, which is why we made you this collection of funny felines.

Cats, being the meowgical creatures that they are, are the purrfect creatures to offer a departure from our lived reality. If you take a moment to think about it, cats are kinda like pillows come to life. They come in all sorts of sizes, colors and uses. Some are great for cuddling, others are just right to place your head on, and others are best left alone and they will not support any part of you very well at all, even becoming a bit scratchy in places.

And with all the effort and anguish you have laid on the line at your job this week you are more than deserving of letting go of the madness and allowing your weary mind to rest in the cradle of these cute cat memes
