In Tampa, Florida, Jeremy Smith, AKA the "BeltLine Cat Guy" caused quite an uproar by taking his fuzzy friend with him through TSA and onto the plane…as a hat! Frontier Airlines says they never expurrienced a passenger so purrfectly well-behaved, and honestly, we believe it.

When Dr. Seuss wrote "The Cat in the Hat", we're not quite sure this is what he was imagining. However, this is far better.

Jeremy Smith, AKA the "BeltLine Cat Guy", was born deaf. He adopted Whisker when she was maybe 3-months-old, from a homeless man who offered her to him for $100. After about two weeks of training, Whisker became comfortable sitting on Jeremy's shoulders, even riding on his bike with him. From there, Whisker adopted her adorable spot on top of his head.

This purrfect pair is almost always seen together, Whisker calmly riding on Jeremy's head while he goes about his day. We've seen a lot of cats in our time as writers for I Can Has Cheezburger, including people who travel the world with their cats, but we've never seen one as calm and collected as Whisker. She just sits there, patiently, while people "oooooh" and "awwww" over her cuteness (we're pretty sure she's silently judging everyone from above, but we can't prove it).

Recently, Whisker and Jeremy were found going through Tampa TSA while Whisker was purrfectly perched on top of his headphones, like a hat. She went through all the security checkpoints with more poise than 99% of the hoomans there, but we have been informed that she did go into her carrier upon entering the plane, according to Frontline animal pawlicy. She was still better behaved than most of the hooman customers, though.

Another week is starting, and if this one is going to be in any way like the last one, then we do not think that we are ready. It feels like every single week for the past- couple of years has been getting more and more dramatic. Truly, we don't know how to handle all of it. Actually, that is not true. We know exactly what we do to stay sane. We go on social media. Of course, that might sound counterproductive, but it's not. Because the reason that we go on social media is in search of one thing and one thing only - viral cat tweets. 

Every single week, we put together this collection of the most viral, best cat tweets of the week. This is why we keep going on there. This is why we keep sifting through the madness. We collect all the gems into one weekly collection for you, right here. And one thing that we have to say is that no matter how insane things are outside, the cat tweets are always ameowzing. 

Some designs make you stop and admire the creativity, and others make you stop and wonder how they ever got approved in the first place. These are firmly in the second category, but in the most entertaining way possible. From confusing layouts to choices that defy all logic, each one feels like a small adventure in "what were they thinking?" And yet, there is something oddly charming about how boldly wrong they are. Sometimes a fail is still a masterpiece, just not in the way anyone intended.

Your cat is way smarter, weirder, and more intentional than you think

You might think your cat is just sleeping, staring at walls, and occasionally choosing violence,  but there's actual meaning behind almost everything they do. These random facts will make you look at them a little differently (and maybe question who's really in charge).

You didn't hire help, but it showed up anyway.

Spring cleaning season hits and these cats are suddenly very busy. No one gave them a job, but they've clearly assigned themselves one anyway. The house has been taken over by a full team of extremely confident, mildly helpful employees.

There's always one handling dishes, standing by the sink like they've got a full shift ahead of them. Another is fully locked in on vacuum duty, treating it like serious work despite not fully understanding what's going on. And of course, there's at least one supervisor, watching everything closely and making sure absolutely nothing is done correctly.

They approach every task with full commitment. Paws involved, intense focus, zero hesitation. It doesn't matter if the technique is questionable or if they're mostly in the way, the effort is undeniable. In their minds, they are carrying this entire operation.

Things might take a little longer than planned, mostly because someone is standing directly where you need to be or investigating the tools mid-use. But at least you're not doing it alone.

The results might not be spotless, but the house is definitely being interacted with. The team is fully engaged, the system is questionable, and somehow it still feels like progress.

"Your call is being recorded" is a line we all heard at one point or another.

Whether we're on call with a random customer service number or out of the blue without explanation, everyone has the option to record their conversation with others if they feel the need to. But even if you can record everything, it doesn't mean you should. There are etiquette and even rules when it comes to the privacy of others, and those should be taken into consideration before any of us hit that 'record' button.

The employee below, for example, probably should have asked her manager if they were okay with all their 1:1s being recorded by her. But she didn't. Instead, she simply decided to go ahead and hit 'record' before each of their meetings, without so much as a word to her employer. So when the manager noticed her phone recording during one of their meetings, they were taken aback and were highly confused about the employee's inability to ask if they were okay with being recorded.

Why would the employee record their 1:1s? Is it because she refers to the recording later when she goes over everything they discussed? Or is she documenting everything because she is building something against her manager? If the recording was simply a tool to help her be a better employee, why didn't she disclose it in the first place? Keeping it quiet only makes it seem suspicious, which is exactly why the manager now thinks the employee might be hiding something. 

Should the employee have asked for permission to record the meetings, or is it within her own rights to document the meetings, for whatever reason she might see fit?

The cat reached inner peace years ago. 

Cats don't sign up for meditation, they just wander into it and stay there. One minute they're walking around, the next they're sitting still like they've reached full meownlightenment. Eyes half closed, slow blinks, not a single thought behind those whiskers. Pure pawsitivity.

They've got the poses down too. The loaf is basically their default setting, fully grounded, no limbs, no problems. Curling into a tight little circle? That's deep focus. And then there's the stretched-out sunbeam situation, which feels like a full body reset. No instructions needed, they just flow into it.

Breathing? Controlled. Movements? Minimal. Distractions? Ignored. Maybe an ear flick, maybe a tiny tail twitch, and then right back to being completely still. It's like they're guarding their inner purr-eace at all costs. Meanwhile, everyone else can't sit still for more than thirty seconds without checking something.

The difference is cats don't overthink it. No goals, no tracking, no trying to "get better" at it. They just exist, fully relaxed, completely unbothered, like they've already figured it out. If anyone's mastered staying zen, it's them.

Splitting rent evenly sounds simple… Until a third person starts using the same resources without paying a cent.

Guests come and go. At first, it was just a few visits a week. Then, he left some clothes. Later, a toothbrush appeared in the bathroom. Soon enough, he'll turn into a full-time resident without ever signing the lease. What happens when visits become almost permanent? Where's the line between a frequent guest and a resident? 

Living with roommates means learning to share space, routines, and expenses. It can be fun to share a home and enjoy company every day. Plus, splitting rent definitely helps your economy. Still, living with a friend is all fun and games until it's time to set boundaries. It might be uncomfortable to have these conversations, especially when other relationships are involved. But ignoring the issue isn't an option when a two-person apartment starts turning into an unofficial three-person household.

Utility bills rise, groceries disappear faster, the couch is always taken, the kitchen counters are filled with dishes that aren't yours, and the laundry piles up. Even small routines get disrupted, and you lose your moments of privacy. The constant presence of an outsider in your own home changes the entire dynamic. It's not just about money; it's about feeling like you can't truly relax at home anymore. This is what happened to a 25-year-old roommate who lost her privacy because her friend's boyfriend kept staying over every night. She spoke up and set her boundaries, but ended up feeling like 'the bad guy' when all she was asking for was respect. And she deserves it. Everyone deserves a home where they feel comfortable. 

Boundaries make a home livable. When a casual visitor becomes part of the house's routine, it's up to everyone involved to decide where the line should be drawn, and it should be respected. 

Not every home comes with a cat, but this one did. 

From the first day this family moved in, this cat was already there, hanging around like she'd always been part of the house. It started small. Food left out, time spent sitting outside at night, letting her curl up on a lap, blankets set out so she had somewhere warm. Nothing official, just helping where possible.

Over time, it stopped feeling temporary. She kept coming back, getting more comfortable, staying closer each time. She'd be there waiting, ready to settle in like it was already routine. It slowly became part of everyday life without anyone really deciding it would. Still, one rule stayed in place: no more cats. The house was already full, and that wasn't supposed to change.

Then winter came, and that rule didn't really hold up.

The cold made it hard to leave her outside. What started as helping from a distance turned into bringing her in "just for now." She didn't hesitate. She came in, looked around, and settled like it made sense. Then came the vet visits, making sure she was okay, getting her healthier and back on track.

Now she's inside, safe, warm, and clearly where she belongs. The cat that came with the house didn't just stop by, she moved in and stayed.

If there were a job title juggling competition, this office would probably win first prizeOn paper, this person is still in their regular role. In reality, they are acting shift lead, unofficial trainer, emotional support scientist, and full-time human tutorial for the person who now has the job title they were literally steering toward.

When life offers you two cats and a human friend, you don't say no. 

This couple decided it's time to adopt cats again. They want a pair of cats so that they don't get lonely, and started looking at nearby rescues for a feline duo. But then, he sees a post from a woman in a local group looking for help finding a home for a friendly stray she's been caring for. He reaches out and mentions that he and his wife really preferred to adopt two cats together. But lo and behold, the cat has a sister! He claims she's not as outgoing as he is and doesn't like strangers, but she's friendly and both cats will be together now. He and his wife then spend the next day getting their apartment ready to bring in these two kitties. And not only did they get two cats like they wanted, they have a human friend as well! He will get them both microchipped since they've been living as strays in the neighborhood for 4 years. The last thing most of us want is to be filmed mid-workout. A lot of gym influencers want the exact opposite: they want to film every second of their workout, whether other gym-goers are in the frame or not. 

Is it so wrong to want to go to the gym and not be filmed while you're there? It seems like it's getting harder and harder to set foot in a gym without accidentally interrupting someone filming their pullup set or their weightlifting accomplishments. 

Every cat pawrent knows their cats are brave. Most of the time, cats are brave in the face of the danger posed by a hair-tie flying too fast across the room. But some other times, cats show true resourcefulness in the face of very real imminent disasters. And when these are about to happen when we're asleep, when we have no way to know dangerous events are about to unfold, it's good to know we can count on our feline family members to alert us. We asked our very own ICHC online cat community to share these times when their cats woke them up in the middle of the night for a justified reason. The stories below truly touched our hearts. And some even made us laugh out loud.

She showed up 20 minutes early to be prepared for an interview, and he was over 45 minutes late with no apology, so with an hour to stew, this Spanish teacher realized the reality of a school's unorganized admin office… And she didn't like what she saw.

Looking for a job is a full-time job. 

After days, weeks, and sometimes months up to your neck in applications and resumes, prospective employees start to lose their patience with the job application process, often rueing the day that they ever chose to chase after a career. Although ultimately the rewards of scoring a job position you actually enjoy will pay off, finding that Goldilocks position is harder than it seems. Juggling pay negotiations, job expectations, and your actual qualifications can be a monstrous task that leaves interviewees run ragged. 

And even when the job seems too good to be true, interviewees need to keep their heads on straight and remain vigilant for red flags… Particularly, red flags from your future employer, a flustered workspace, and a naggingly late interview. 

A Spanish teacher was excited about this particular job listing until she realized the admin department disrespected her time and never valued her as a candidate. As a result, she decided to take matters into her own hands… even if that meant saving her dignity over groveling for a job in an environment that already seemed like a poor fit. 

If your future employer is waving red flags about your future workplace in your face, it's important that you heed their very obvious warning. No matter how desperate you are for employment, something better than this will certainly pop up on your Linkedin feed. Stay patient. Stay vigilant. And don't you dare settle for a boss who is happy to make you wait for over an hour to see them. 

Cat memes are the best thing for your mental health. 

This is true always, of course, but it is especially true on days like this, when going online feels like walking into a burning building. It's crazy out there, we know it from experience. Of course, we continue going online. We continue putting ourselves in the line of fire - to look for the things that we actually want to see. And obviously, the things that we want to see the most - always, but especially now - are funny cat memes. 

The good thing about the internet is that, whatever is going on in the world, the cat meme production never stops. There are always hilarious cat memes going viral, and we can only say thank you - again and again. Because gently snorting at cat memes throughout our day, scrolling through them when we have a spare moment here and there, that is what is keeping us sane right meow. Of course, it would be nicer to be able to go online and find only the silly cat memes that we are looking for, but we can't quite do that… but you can. Because we take the fire for you to creatre wholesome and pure collections like these. 

Just because you're family doesn't mean you have the right to make decisions about someone else's belongings.

Your personal items are yours. Period. It doesn't matter if they are stored in your house or in someone else's. Whether they have sentimental value or not, you are the one who decides what to do with them. If you want to sell them, donate them, or keep them in storage, that's entirely your decision.

No one should throw away or sell anything that doesn't belong to them. Besides, what looks like clutter to one person could mean a lifetime of memories to another. And you never know what the owner may want to do with those items, so the least you can do is ask first.

Today's sibling conflict started as an innocent cleanup but turned into a family dispute after boundaries were crossed and respect for ownership was ignored. This brother sold his sister's childhood toys without asking for permission, simply because he assumed they weren't important and that she wouldn't mind. Not only did he fail to ask, but he is also refusing to give her the money he made because he's already spent it… Money that was never his to keep in the first place. He's crossed so many boundaries that it's simply UNFAIR. How can you just assume and not ask? How can you sell another person's belongings and spend the money? How can you refuse to pay her back??? 

Not to mention the fact that his sister was saving those toys for her future kids, and now she can't get them back. So this isn't even about money anymore. Those toys carried sentimental value and held memories she hoped to pass down one day. And it's hard to imagine he would be OK if the situation were reversed. There's a huge lack of empathy and consideration here. But what I find most concerning is his refusal to take responsibility. He's not acknowledging he did anything wrong and instead dismisses her reaction as dramatic, even though her frustration is completely understandable.

Our cat's needs should always come first. 

It's difficult, in certain situations, especially when it comes to animals that you love, to think of what is best for them instead of for you. In breakups, for example, when there are cats involved, suddenly, there are custody battles over the cats. Both partners may want the cat, but ultimately, it's the cat who should choose who to go with. And cats do choose their humans. You cannot argue with them. They will run away from you and straight to their chosen one if you try, so you might as well listen from the get-go. 

Cats bond with their humans in ways that non-cat owners could never understand. They miss us when we're gone, they show their love for us in whatever ways they can, and breaking that bond will leave the cat a shell of what it used to be. That was the fear for the triplet cat owners in this story. Their grandmother's cat who was given to them after she could no longer take care of him bonded with them - truly and fiercely. So when their cousin showed up out of the blue, demanding the cat, because it was "legally" hers, that… created some problems. But the cat has to come first. 

After discovering his girlfriend of one year had cheated on him twice within a month, this 27-year-old decided he would stop paying for her internet access. Who could have guessed that this would be an even bigger problem for his now ex-girlfriend's kids?

No matter how manly and rugged you are, when a barn kitten chooses you as her new dad, you say, "Yes, thank you."

Cats don't care if you're big or small, manly or feminine, or rich or poor, they just want you to serve their every whim and fancy for the rest of their lives. And by "serve them", we mean love them, but sometimes, it really feels like serving. Especially when they randomly decide they don't like their food they've been eating for years now, and you have to run out and get a whole new brand just so they will end their spontaneous hunger strike.

They also don't care if you've never had a cat before, or if you even like cats. That's what happened to our animal-loving farmer below, who knows a lot about cows and chickens, but nothing about kittens. That is, until he posted some pictures of his new daughter online and asked for advice. Thankfully, the cat community came to his rescue, and the two are purrfectly ready to start to build a new life together as father and daughter, or master and servant.

Cat and bunny grooming ASMR is the type of content we didn't know we needed until right now.

One of the best things about cats is their willingness to adopt other animals into their fluffy families. Be they puppies without a mom, a lonely otter abandoned at birth, or even an adult dog that's looking for a four-legged best friend. But one of the most purrfect relationships between cats and other animals is the one between a cat and a bunny. And not just because it's almost too cute to handle.

Cats groom as a sign of affection and dominance, like a mother cat helping bathe her kittens. Whereas, in bunnies, they get groomed as a sign of affection and dominance. So, a cat bathing a bunny thinks that it is doing the bunny a favor, treating it like its child, and the bunny getting groomed thinks that it's doing the cat a favor! Both animals end up happy and fulfilled, and we get to watch one of the cutest things known to hoomankind. It's a win-win-win scenario.

Today's video centers around a bunny who was abandoned by its mother at birth, and was then promptly adopted by an orange cat. The two developed the sweetest relationship, as you will see below, by how the bunny literally flops into the cat's arms and relaxes while getting groomed.
