To be or not to be? To adopt or not to adopt? The pendulum swing of choices will always hang above our heads, we just need to come to a decision at some point. 

We all have choices in our lives. The more choices we have, the harder it is to actually come to any kind of decision. This can be both freeing and constraining, and sometimes a choice can hang over our heads so much that we are consumed with the question, even though we know the outcome won't matter. Like in the story below, a recent college graduate reconciles with the question of whether he should adopt the stray outside his dorms or not. He says the adorable thing has been roaming around his house in the past year, and he's going to be spending his gap year at home, and plans to go to grad school in a few months. He'll be going back and forth and doesn't know if it's the best time to adopt a cat. 

The caveats are thus: first of all, he actually doesn't know if he's allergic. He has had some issues with cat dander in the past, but it isn't consistent. The other issue is that he's been feeding the cat for a year and she always stops by once a day. She is affectionate and loves with he gives her pets. He suspects that someone else is actually feeding her, which makes him question whether he should even take her from someone else. She seems to be more connected to him that the other person though, because she does follow him around more. 

He laments owning a pet at all because it's such a big decision. He's never had a cat and always grew up with dogs, so it would be an adjustment. He also currently has a dog with his parents, so it's another wonder if the dog and cat would be okay together. He's doing the responsible thing by wondering with real issues, instead of being hasty. Some family celebrations deserve their own moment. A sister's wedding and the news of the first grandchild in the family are both milestones that bring relatives together, but are they meant to be celebrated together?

A 27-year-old woman is going to marry her fiancé after being engaged for two years. A week before the wedding, her 31-year-old sister tells her that she and her husband are expecting a baby after having tried for more than a year. The bride-to-be is truly happy for them… Until her older sister asks to make the announcement during her wedding's reception. 

The younger sister refuses to let her do that. It is not that the older sister should not celebrate; of course she should, but not at her wedding reception. She just was not entitled to make that day about herself. That decision is reasonable, and the older sister seemed to understand it and agreed to it. She was not forbidden from sharing her happiness forever, she was just asked to choose another occasion. 

But then, the day of the wedding came, and she told the relatives anyway. The situation escalated when their aunt approached the DJ and requested the microphone so everyone could toast "the two biggest celebrations in the family." The bride intervened and prevented the toast, which prompted her sister to accuse her of acting jealous and claim that nobody will remember the wedding in a few years while the family will always remember its first grandchild. That remark reveals why stopping the microphone mattered. The older sister believed her milestone deserved priority over her younger sister's celebration, and that is selfish. 

The lengths people will go for a cat are great, sometimes quite literally, and sometimes when they didn't even know they were about to adopt a cat.

Some people know they're going to adopt a cat - they prepare physically and mentally, getting the house ready and littered with toys, and generally anticipate the arrival of the floofy feline creature home. And then there's the other type of people - the ones who have exactly zero idea they're about to adopt a cat. The cat just sort of appears in their lives one day, as if they were adopting themselves into their human's life. They mostly say it's like the world has congratulated them on having a cat, and simply thrusts said cat right into their hands. But they adopt the cat regardless.

But we can say confidently that this is no chance, and no coincidence - this is the pure and hard work of the Cat Distribution System. This agency, entity, or whatever it is, is working extremely hard, day and night, to assure all cats in need that they're going to the people who will provide them with a forever home that they all so desperately need.

Take this one man, for example - he went to buy a phone but returned home with a cat. If this is not the fateful doing of the CDS, we don't know what is. This kitten was waiting for someone to adopt her, amongst the litter of kittens born in this house. They already had a cat, the one who gave birth, but were trying to find someone who could take the kittens and give them the forever home they need. And it just so happened that the man who would give this one kitten, Pippa, her forever home, came there to… buy a phone.

It really is something else when you go somewhere to get yourself anything, but end up getting another feline friend to add to your family. It's just another common way for cats to get adopted - they simply appear in your life, refuse to leave, and completely steal your heart. And your bed. And your couch. That's the magic of cat adoption, and we love them for it.

The universe is endless… but so is human greed.

One would think that thieves are smart enough not to get caught, but it seems like that is not always the case. A retail worker shared an experience on r/TalesFromRetail with a shoplifter who didn't know when to stop. The guy entered the shop and started putting a lot of things away in his bag. The worker was suspicious, but by the time they got around to checking the cameras and asking their coworker, the thief was long gone. Although not for long, because after thirty minutes, he came back for round two! The worker was fast this time, calling security immediately, catching him, and getting back all the stolen items, plus some more belonging to other stores. 

The funny thing is, he could have gotten away with what he stole the first round. He wasn't caught the first time because he was fast and the retail worker was a little slow. It's only because he came back thirty minutes later that the officers got to him. His greed is what made him lose everything he already had gotten, even if he did it illegitimately. 

Sometimes people are simply stupid, even when doing evil. He never thought to come back another day, or change his clothes, or wait for a shift change. Nope, none of that. He just went in again. Maybe it was a mix of stupidity and arrogance. Since he managed to leave unscathed the first time, maybe he assumed it would happen again. 

By no means are we saying that people should plan their crimes better, not a chance. When they don't, it's better for us, because it means we can catch bad people more easily. What's interesting about this story is the shoplifter's train of thought that led him to believe that he was smart or good enough to pull it off. Stupidity and arrogance are terrible advisors. This time it worked in the good people's favor, but that's not always the case. 

I love a chill weekend day with my cat, and silly cats are like the icing on top of it all.

There's nothing that wins the calm and relaxation that I get from this exact situation: It's a weekend day, I woke up late because it's the day to forget that alarm clocks exist, and my cat trots into the room doing that cute "mrrp?" questioning sound as if she's asking, "Are you finally awake?" And I'm so glad to tell her, "Yes, I am… Come here, you little princess." And my cat jumps on me while I'm still in bed, only to settle on my belly, purring like she's never purred before, only for me to stay in bed for another hour just petting her. That's what weekends are about.

But then there's even a better situation (hard to believe, I know). That's when I can wriggle one of my hands from under the blanket and reach for my phone, so I can check the newest batch of Caturday cat content. One hand petting my void princess, purring on me like it's her spa day, and the other checking for the best cat pawsts and pictures to lift my mood up with meowing memes. That's such a purrfect combination, and I honestly wish every cat pawrent could experience it for themselves.

And since I have such a great platform, literally the best cat site in the world, I'm about to share this opportunity with all of you - my fellow feline fans and cat pawrents. I searched the web far and wide, so you don't have to, so I can present to you the silliest cat pictures of this week. All you have to do is chill with your cat, one hand petting them and giving them the best relaxation day they've had, and with your other hand look for more and more cat silliness. The more cats in the weekend, the better. So might as well start here.

What do you do when your friends start behaving erratically for no apparent reason?

Report them to HR, in case you work together. And that's what this restaurant worker had to do with one of her best friends and coworkers named Stephanie. They've been working together for some time and have had a mother-daughter type of relationship. In the last few weeks, a new girl named Olivia started working there, and Stephanie despised her from day one for no apparent reason. She started doing everything in her power to make Olivia's job harder. The server has no personal issues with Olivia, so she thinks that Stephanie's attitude is not the best. Stephanie accused her of betraying her, not being loyal, and saying mean things behind her back, none of which is true. The conflict escalated to a degree where the server had to file a formal complaint against her best friend, and HR could end up firing her. 

The server's guilt is understandable, but it seems like she had no other choice. Stephanie's attitude was starting to affect more people in the workplace, not just her and Olivia, and she was not backing down from her unexplainable hate. 

Under other circumstances, we could argue that older people sometimes have a sixth sense that leads them to read people better. Perhaps Stephanie realized something about Olivia's personality that could be harmful, and that's why she didn't like her. The thing is that Olivia has not shown a single sign of being a conflictive or bad person. She's been perfectly normal. And Stephanie has gone out of her way to make her life harder.

This is where we can start thinking that Stephanie might be on a power trip to control her friend and trying to manipulate her. Manipulative people tend to make you feel guilty over choosing for yourself and not following them blindly or sharing their opinions just because you are friends and should agree on everything. So far, Stephanie and her friend hadn't had a disagreement, and the first time they did, Stephanie turned on her completely and tried to make her feel bad and guilty. 

Do you think the server was right to report her, or could she have found another way to fix the situation?

How long would you be willing to wait for someone getting late? The general rule is 10 to 30 minutes tops…

Punctuality is not a virtue that all people have. We all try to be respectful of other people's time; it's a resource too valuable to waste without a second thought. We all know that people have lives and responsibilities to attend to, so we try not to keep them waiting unnecessarily. 

When we make a doctor's appointment, we're there a few minutes early. When we make plans with friends, we all show up at the right time. However, sometimes the unexpected happens, and we are forced to be late for an appointment that we already had. Traffic gets crazy, the bus doesn't show up on time, we can't find our keys anywhere… It happens, but it is still something that we try to avoid. And if we can't avoid it, we make sure to let the person waiting for us know that we are going to be a little late. It's a basic form of showing respect when it becomes difficult to honour the previous arrangement. We do it for them, and they do it for us. 

This is why it becomes so annoying when someone doesn't respect our own time, especially if we are talking about an appointment in a specific place. We all try to be respectful, and what we ask in return is that same kind of respect. A kind of respect that wasn't shown to a customer at a tattoo shop. 

The customer told on r/AIO that they made an appointment at a tattoo shop at eleven in the morning. The shop called to say they had to move it to twelve, and the customer was fine with that. However, upon getting to the shop for the appointment, no one was there. They were about to leave when the receptionist showed up and told them to wait. They sat and waited… and waited… for two and a half hours! The receptionist tried to apologize and said that the previous customer booked for a single tattoo and ended up choosing to get six instead. It was too late, though. The customer's time had already been wasted, and their arrangement hadn't been honoured. They were still willing to wait a long time, but enough is enough. 

There is hardly a sadder tale than that of a senior feline who has found themselves thrown out onto the hard knock streets. After spending close to a decade by their original pawrent's side it is now up to them to start life anew and renew their purrpose.

That is unless they are lucky enough to get scooped up by a cat loving hooman. Which is pretty much what happened to the senior feline in this story who was initially assumed to be a feral feline. A product of being on the streets for a short while and her advanced age made this catto look a little worse for wear. But before long it would become apparent that this cat was actually once someone's fur baby and had spent most of her life enjoying the luxury life indoors. This of course was discovered when a chip was found in the cat and her original owner was contacted. But what came next was the tough part.

For days this original owner strung our rescuer along, promising to come and pick up the kitten. But as messages were left on read and time passed it appeared that no sort of pick up was going to happen. And this is a point we would like to touch upon. Of course it is understandable to feel ashamed that you cannot continue to care for your cat for one reason or another, and doubly so for dumping your cat instead of rehoming, and triply so when a rescue contacts you to come collect the cat you discarded. But we want to tell anyone out there who has been in this position, or might unexpectedly find themselves in this position that the best thing you can do for the cat is to be honest. Sure, it might come with some hate, but hopefully with your honest others will understand and at the very least quicker action can be taken to find the feline the purrfect home.
 

There's no need to act bossy just because you are a boss.

Sometimes when family members work together, they can get confused. And that confusion may even involve people who aren't even a part of the family. Like in the story below, where what seems to have happened is a boss mom confusing her position as a boss with her role as a mother. The person involved in this story isn't related to her boss at all, but her superior is, in fact, the mother of one of her coworkers, and that can be confusing for the whole office. This story may be perceived as one of the times that kind of confusion occurred.

This assistant was just doing her job as always, answering the phone and taking notes about a client, but at the same time, she was showing a new intern how to do exactly that, leading by example. When all of a sudden, her boss interrupted her phone call to demand that she hand the phone to the new employee. She, at first, explained that she was taking notes on the client, as asked, so she needed to finish the call before delegating that task. That wasn't a good answer according to her superior, so an argument arose. After a while, she just complied. There was no reason to continue an argument she wasn't going to win.

After the incident, things got weird in the workspace. This user was told that a volunteering event was going to happen in a couple of months, but then it got moved. Nobody really told her, but she heard some coworkers discussing it. On the new date of the event, a Saturday, she received a message asking if she was coming. Not only did everyone know except for her, but she also realized that day that the job was no longer a good fit for her. That incident ended up being more memorable than it should have been, and it proved that she needed to get out. Luckily, she's currently looking for a new job that actually fits her standards. So good luck to her!
 

Good dads are not so easy to come by. When you find one, don't let him go. 

Dads aren't notorious for being involved, or overbearing, or necessarily emotional. But sometimes you find that rare father who wants to help, wants to talk, and who has the emotional capacity of anyone else. When it comes to saving animals, this instinct might kick in, just like it did in the story here below. This man does not like cats. He's not a cat person, and only tolerates his wife's cats. He was out walking the dog one day and found this little weak baby kitten on the sidewalk. She really was weak, and she didn't even move when they walked over to her. He didn't let his preconceived notions about cats or his opinion of them get in the way of right and wrong though. He doesn't leave anyone behind, no matter if they're cat, woman, child, dog, or pig. He scooped her up and took the little baby home. 

The family is still deciding what to do with her, if they'll keep her or try to find a foster. But at least we know she's off the streets and in a better place, which is all we can ask for abandoned street cats. When you find a kitten in trouble, the best thing you can do it just take it home because you could be saving a life. They're also going to take her to the vet and check for a chip. Right now, they've given her water and soft wet food and are trying not to overwhelm her. Read the full story below, and remember that everyone is capable of good, even if they're not a cat person. 

How hard is it for family to understand that they need to respect boundaries? Apparently, very hard. 

Sometimes our own families are the ones who think that boundaries don't apply to them. They love us, and we love them, but love doesn't mean indefinite access to our house or our belongings, or permission to stomp all over us emotionally. Oftentimes we let them say and do whatever they want to avoid conflict with them and other family members. But they can go overboard pretty easily and hurt us while we try to protect them. 

At some point, we have to choose our own peace of mind and let them handle themselves however they can, especially if they are our older relatives. Parents, aunts, and uncles had already lived their lives by the time the younger generation of sons, daughters, nieces, and nephews was born. It is not their responsibility to take charge or fix the elders' lives or mistakes. 

In no way does this imply that all family should be cut off or ignored. After all, family is our first safety net. It means that we have to take care of our mental and emotional health before complying with everybody else's demands. 

A mother happened to get offended over a daughter setting a clear boundary that she didn't like. The daughter shared on Reddit that she's the first one of her siblings to be able to buy a house. Her older brothers rent, and her sister lives with her mother. The mother, however, seems to have had enough of the sister, the family, and the house, so she wants to sell and move away. So far, so good. Until she asked her daughter to move in with her. The daughter said no, since her mother already has a house and doesn't really want to be around the rest of her family. The mother got really upset, called her daughter ungrateful, and accused her of not loving her. 

Her request seems a little ironic. After all, if she's tired of living with one daughter, why would she want to live with the other one? And accusing her of not loving her is quite the manipulative move. She doesn't sound like an easy person to be around, and maybe the rest of her children had their reasons to move away.

We all know cats land on their feet, but did we know how malleable, moldable, and meowing they are? I guess we did know they're meowing…but that's not the point! Our favorite feline friends continues to surprise and stupefy us with behaviors unimaginable. The ineffable fascination that comes with cat owning is only exemplified in their extreme elasticity in regard to their sleeping positions and locations.  

They look like a cooked spaghetti noodle draped over a house banister, a loose and stretchable object disjointed and detached. The less comfortable it looks, the better. Their knack for finding a small spot is just as ridiculous as their obsession with staying there to chill or sleep. What is it about these uncomfortable places that keeps them going back for more? We may never know the reason, but all we know is that no corner, banister, or balance beam is safe…

Besides the chaos that cats bring, there's something so comforting about them too. Their cute faces and whiskers, big pointed ears and innocent eyes make them appear to be more baby like than they are. When they're loving, they're very very loving. But they're still cats, which means they're capricious and temperamental. There's no reason to judge them for it though, as long as you know where you stand. As the slave who feeds them tuna while they sleep in your bed whilst you work a 9-5 just begging for the weekend to come for a meowment of peace, of relaxation, and of rest. 

Four warnings were more than enough…

After finding their neighbor's daughter's car parked in their private driveway four separate times, one homeowner finally decided enough was enough. Instead of asking a fifth time, they had the vehicle towed, leaving the family with a $350 retrieval fee. Now the neighbors insist the punishment was excessive, while the homeowner argues they simply enforced a boundary that had been ignored over and over again.

One thing I've learned is that neighbors usually get a lot of second chances. Most people don't want to start a feud with someone who lives a few feet away, so they let small problems slide, hoping they'll fix themselves. Sometimes that works. Other times, people mistake patience for permission. If someone keeps getting away with crossing a boundary, they may eventually believe the boundary never existed in the first place.

That's what stood out to me here. This wasn't a situation where the homeowner walked outside one morning, saw an unfamiliar car, and immediately called a tow truck. There were conversations, a written note, and another face-to-face discussion before anything happened. At some point, asking nicely stops being an effective solution if the other person has already decided your property is theirs whenever it's convenient.

I also find it interesting that the neighbor admitted she never expected the car to be towed. To me, that says she heard every warning but simply assumed there would never be any consequences. That's a risky assumption to make when someone has repeatedly told you to stay off their private property.

Could towing the car make things awkward between neighbors? Absolutely. Nobody wants to create tension with the people living next door. But respect has to go both ways. It's difficult to argue that someone overreacted when they spent weeks trying to solve the issue peacefully first. Sometimes enforcing a boundary isn't what creates the conflict. Sometimes it simply reveals that the other person never intended to respect it in the first place.

Lil' bro and Big bro

Sometimes a person doesn't know how to express admiration. Complimenting somebody might be the most difficult thing for some people, and they end up bullying you in a naive way that doesn't cease to be annoying. It starts getting weird when it becomes a habit, and you are forced to discuss a topic time and time again, something they fixated on that was a simple thing for you in the first place. Sometimes we're obsessed with something; it happens to the best of us, and sometimes that thing is exercise, and we look at everyone and everything through that lens, and that results in strange, repetitive comments. While the attitude the obsessed person takes is weird, it's nonetheless our responsibility to do something to counteract it if we feel bothered by it.

The trainer at my gym is sort of obsessed with the same thing, and he always comments on my strength or my body to the point of being annoying, so I know what it's like and how uncomfortable it feels. Also, I know that letting it slide is more uncomfortable than speaking up, so I always choose the latter. Some people need to be told when they're out of place because they can't tell on their own; that's it. It's obviously not our responsibility to teach people basic manners, but well, some people really need more help than others, and that's fine, I guess…

Please rise for the arrival of Their Royal Floofness.

Some cats are born with royal energy. They expect doors to be opened for them, meals to arrive exactly on time, and every empty lap to become their personal throne. Put a crown on one of those cats, and suddenly everything just makes sense. They've been waiting for the rest of us to catch up all along.

These regal felines wear their crowns like they've ruled the kingdom for years. One sits tall, looking over the room with an expression that says everyone is doing an acceptable job... for now. Another looks ready to issue a royal decree demanding more treats, a cleaner litter box, and at least three uninterrupted hours of beauty sleep. Every glance feels like it's being judged, and somehow you still want their approval.

Royal life doesn't stop when the crown comes off, either. The finest throne might be a cardboard box, a laundry basket, or the highest shelf in the house. Every hallway becomes a grand entrance, every nap a scheduled appearance, and every dramatic meow a reminder that the palace staff has fallen behind on their duties. Their loyal subjects don't question it. They simply refill the food bowl and continue with their assigned responsibilities.

Some rulers lead with elegance. Others lead with pure chaos. Either way, these crowned kitties carry themselves like they're one generation removed from the royal family and expect to be treated accordingly. The only proper greeting is a respectful "Your Majesty," followed by whatever snack they've decided they're entitled to at that exact moment. One look at these royal fluffballs, and it's pretty clear the kingdom is in very capable paws.

How would you react if your company let you figure out you were being fired on your own?

After surviving one mass layoff, this senior software engineer thought they had found some stability at a new company. Instead, they slowly realized they were being pushed out after disappearing from meetings, team lists, and important conversations. While coworkers were instructed to stay quiet, the writing was already on the wall. Despite the frustrating experience, they chose not to blame themselves, recognizing that cost-cutting decisions often have little to do with performance.

Reading this story, I honestly think the company handled the entire situation terribly. Layoffs happen, and most people understand that businesses sometimes have to make difficult financial decisions. What is much harder to accept is leaving someone in the dark while everyone else already knows what's happening. Being excluded from meetings without any explanation and having to piece together your own termination from small clues is an incredibly disrespectful way to treat an employee.

The coworkers were put in an uncomfortable position too. They were told to stay silent, which forced them to ignore someone they spoke with every day. That kind of environment damages trust across the entire team, even among people who had nothing to do with the decision.

Looking at the bigger picture, being let go may have been the best outcome for the original poster. A workplace that avoids honest conversations and leaves employees guessing about their future isn't somewhere most people would want to build a long-term career. The company revealed exactly how it treats people when times get difficult, and that's valuable information to have, even if it came at a painful moment.

Every gamer knows the real final boss has four paws.

The second a controller comes out or a keyboard starts clicking away, cats suddenly remember they have very important responsibilities. It doesn't matter if you've ignored them all day. The moment you're focused on a game, they decide it's time for a quality assurance inspection of your entire setup.

Some felines are content with supervising from your lap, purring like they've been hired to provide the soundtrack. Others prefer a more paws-on approach. They'll step on the keyboard, swat at the mouse, sniff every button on the controller, and somehow manage to block the exact part of the screen you actually need to see. It's impressive how consistently they can ruin your timing.

Then there are the cats who believe every gaming accessory was secretly bought for them. Headsets need chewing. Mousepads make excellent napping spots. RGB keyboards clearly exist because someone wanted to build the world's fanciest heated cat bed. Expensive gaming chair? That's just premium feline seating with a convenient human attached.

Of course, they'll act completely offended if you dare move them. You're the one interrupting their gaming session, after all. They were perfectly comfortable sprawled across the WASD keys, and now you're expecting them to relocate just because your teammates are waiting? Sounds like a you problem.

Still, every gamer secretly knows the session is better with a furry sidekick nearby. Sure, you might lose a match because a tail covered half the minimap or a paw hit the Escape key at the worst possible moment, but those are the memories that end up being funnier than the game itself. Gaming gatos may never climb the leaderboard, but they'll always earn MVP for keeping every session entertaining.

Different styles of helping

We all have that one family member who takes everyone else's generosity too far. That cousin who thinks everyone owes them favours or is entitled to everyone else's property or food, for example. This type of behaviour always stems from a weird mix between their personality traits and nobody in the family drawing the line or setting some good ol' boundaries. Anyways, in my opinion, when you're dealing with that kind of people, a boundary is an act of love, and you'll probably help them more by saying no than by giving them everything that they want. To me, they are people who need help learning that getting things takes effort; they don't really need the thing they're asking for; they need to learn to get things in a more honourable and, frankly, realistic way. It's how the world works, most of the time; if you want something, you have to give something in return: your money, your time, something. We all need unconditional help once in a while, but when expecting unconditional help has become our personality, we need urgent boundaries. Plus, I forgot to mention what, to me, is the key to the matter: HE DIDN'T ASK TO USE THE UNIT; HE WAS USING IT IN SECRET; so no amount of guilt-tripping should make his COUSIN forgive and forget that. If I'm honest, he should even try to avoid having anything to do whatsoever with him or his mother, but that's just my opinion…

This orange kitten may have started life alone, but he won't be growing up that way.

When a tiny orange kitten was discovered all alone near a parked firetruck, his rescuer hoped he wasn't the only one left behind. They searched the area repeatedly, looking for his mother and any littermates that might have been hiding nearby. Nothing. With no other cats in sight, the tiny kitten was brought to safety and given a fitting name: Chimney Smoke-Stack.

The next stop was the veterinarian, where everyone got the news they had been hoping for. Chimney Smoke-Stack was healthy and ready for his next chapter. His rescuer was already attached, but there was one obstacle. Bottle babies need constant care, and balancing full days between work and school made that impossible right now.

Thankfully, someone in the family was ready to step in.

The rescuer's boyfriend's sister, who has experience fostering bottle-fed kittens, happily welcomed Chimney Smoke-Stack into her home. She'll care for him while he's still tiny and dependent on bottle feedings, giving him exactly what he needs until he's old enough to move in with his forever family.

It's the kind of rescue that reminds you how many people it can take to save one small life. One person spotted him. Someone searched tirelessly to make sure no family had been left behind. An experienced fosterer opened her home without hesitation. Now Chimney Smoke-Stack gets to grow up surrounded by people who already adore him instead of facing the world alone.

Imagine going to a family gathering to catch up, eat, and have a nice time, only to have your uncle demand that you sit on a folding chair because of how much you weigh? Without a second thought, I would go back to my house and cut ties with this person. But the user who wrote the story below had a better plan. He decided that at the next family dinner he would bring a chair from his home so that he 'didn't ruin' the new chairs his uncle bought. That obviously caused a huge scene that we could deem as a family feud. The uncle felt humiliated and told him to go. But he didn't care when he humiliated this user about his weight, did he?

Some people are obsessed with weight, as if the number you get on a scale could determine anything about, it can't. You are a human being with a personality, dreams, feelings, and so much more. Then why would you think that what defines you is solely your weight? And it's even worse when you aren't the one focusing on that, but other people can't stop bringing it up. Being overweight can cause some health problems, but so does being underweight. And in whatever case, the person you are talking to about 'their problem' already knows how much they weigh and if they are healthy or not. So wouldn't it be better to focus on something else?

You never know what someone is going through. And making them feel embarrassed about something like this seems pure evil to me. The person knew what he looked like, and the chair thing wasn't really about not ruining the new chairs. This uncle was targeting and mistreating family members who haven't done anything wrong in the first place. So why didn't he just enjoy the gathering and keep the comments to himself? It would have been a better evening for everyone, that's for sure!
