It's like giving our brain a dopamine-filled break, one that we so desperately need in times when we feel purrfectly overwhelmed.

Fridays are the first day to leave when you start to get older. Instead of making plans and going out with your friends, you stay in because you're exhausted from working all week. There's nothing wrong with it, it's a natural part of growing up. You know that if you go out, you'll go to bed late, your cats will be grumpy that you left them alone, and then you'll have to wake up at your normal time to feed them, but with much less sleep. At a certain point, you just realize it's not worth it anymore. We enjoy staying home with our fur babies more than all the "fun" we could be having on Friday night.

This woman has been taking care of her 93-year-old and 79-year-old grandparents for the last two years. She comes up to her and was laying on a chair but hops into her lap. The rest is history! She names the kitty Donna after her grandma's best friend. Sooner or later, the grandma also turns to giving the cat lots of love, and she finally has a furrever home.

Eventually, she and the delivery driver got on the phone with the irate customer who they would soon discover was the cause of this whole confusion.

Just because action figures are toys, doesn't mean they're not valuable

If you don't collect figurines or action figures, you might not know that some of them can be extremely valuable, and some are quite rare, too. Lots of adults bond over their shared experience with both the figurines and the properties they come from. Oftentimes, fans from a series will spend hundreds or even thousands over years, adding onto their ever-growing collections. 

Of course, if you live with little kids, nothing is sacred. Your belongings will get destroyed, even if you go to great lengths to prevent that.

Still, we're pawsitive every cat owner out there has seen their fair share of cat surprises from their own cats. And cat lovers in general always love to learn of another surprising way cats bring in something different into another cat pawrent's life. Take the "mohawk" cat we recently learned about, where after turning to the online cat community, his owners discovered his fur is actually a rare genetic trait.

While there are no rare fur shenanigans here, we're still talking about the ultimate surprise a soon-to-be cat parent can discover about their orange kittens - she's a girl. You see, only 20% of orange cats are girls, and that makes them a rare and beautiful unicorn amongst the entire domestic cat species. And that's still a cat fur genetics thing, apparently. But let's get into the science side of things later. For now? Let's look at this surprising cutie.

How many times do you wake up in the morning, having a weird feeling that you must have overslept and missed your alarm?

We've all had that feeling. You wake up in the morning, completely independently, and before you check your phone to see what time it is, you have that feeling that tells you that your alarm probably didn't go off, and now it's way too late, and you're late for work. Then, you check your phone, and you realize that you actually woke up 20 minutes before you were supposed to, and you still have many glorious minutes in bed before you have to get up.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for the employee in the story below, even though they didn't really oversleep or miss any alarms.

Since this employee works shifts, they like to use their time off to do what people love to do best… sleep. One day, at around 2:00 PM, this employee got a text from work stating that their evening shift was cancelled and that they would only have to report to work the next day. Happy about their evening off, this employee went to bed and didn't wake up until 11:00 PM. 

When they did woke up, they found out that work texted them again at 4:00 PM, taking back the cancellation and stating that the evening shift is back on. By the time the employee saw this text, it was way too late for them to get to work, but their employer still blamed them for not showing up and reported it to HR.

Feeling defeated, the employee went back to bed, and the next time they woke up, the same thing happened again! They woke up to texts on their phone from their boss, stating that they must report to HR for a hearing about their 'No Call No Show', which the employee felt was completely uncalled for…

Open a drawer and somehow it's already occupied.

Drawers don't stay empty for long when there's a cat around. You open one for a second, turn away, and suddenly there's a cat inside. Doesn't matter if it's packed with clothes or barely open, they'll make it work. Shirts, socks, anything in there just gets pushed aside until there's enough space.

They seem to like how tucked in it feels. Dark, soft, a little hidden. They'll squeeze between things, turn a couple times, and settle right on top of everything like it was meant for them. You come back later to grab something and there's just a pair of eyes looking up at you instead.

They don't act caught either. You open the drawer and they just stay there like it's their spot now. No rush to leave, no reaction like they did anything wrong. If anything, they stretch out more or shift to get comfortable again. You move stuff around them and they barely care.

It ends up becoming part of the routine. You open a drawer and half expect to find one in there. Sometimes you do, sometimes you don't, but it's always a possibility. It's such a random place to end up, but they treat it like one of the best spots in the house.
