I have never keyed anyone's car, but I've definitely met people who deserve it, as I am sure everyone has. Some people, especially drivers, simply need to learn a lesson that will teach them road etiquette, and if you have a key, it can be hard to avoid using it as a lesson tool.

But even though I have met people who deserve it, it doesn't mean I should key their car, right?

The resident in the story below didn't even deserve it, but they still got their car keyed. It happened after a stranger parked their car in their private parking spot, which forced the resident to block that car as they parked in their other spot. When they got to their car the morning after, their car was completely keyed. 

This led the resident to call a tow truck to remove the strange car, but that was not the last this resident heard from the vandalizing thief. The person behind it even had the audacity to blame the resident for blocking and towing their car, as if the resident was the one in the wrong…

When this rental car customer tried to return his vehicle, the employees were unhelpful — and they tried to make him keep this expensive car for another extra day. 

If you've ever rented a car, you know that these things come with a lot of paperwork and red tape. You reserve a car, but when you get to the rental location, sometimes they don't even have that car for you. If you thought you were getting a certain car, whoops, they don't have it, and now you're in an ancient car that smells musty and looks like it hasn't been driven in years. Once you actually do get out on the road, you have to be aware that you're paying a few cents per mile to drive this thing. And maybe you've heard that advice about photographing the whole car before you ever drive it out of the lot. Apparently, some rental locations will try to falsely claim that their customers dirtied up the car, or got a scratch on the fender, just because they know the customer can't prove otherwise. It's a whole hassle!

Unlike the myriad of dog pawrents who so easily give up on the puppers they bring home, cat pawrents seem to be far more away of whats up and what it is going to take to live with their cat child. Sure there will be clawminal moments, but there will also be cuddly moments. And sure you as the hooman will not get to decide when each of those things happen, but when it comes down to it that is the point of adopting a catto, you do not want someone to boss around. You want a life partner who has their own thoughts,desries and dreams.

And when soemthing does not suit them, you will most certainly hear about it. Which pretty much sums up the story of the feisty felien who features in this story, who spent almost her whole life being a spicy tamale leaving scratches on everyone who crossed her path. That is until the day she understood how much her pawrent loves and cares for he thanks to a life saving surgery she underwent. Of which she came out of a cuddly, cozy and caring cat, so unlike the cat who she was before that she was barely recognizable. 

It's always amusing when bosses act surprised when their employees call then out on their nonsense.

In this instance, we have an employee at an engineering job who was already earning significantly less than the average worker at his level. Still, he was relatively new to the workforce and needed the experience, so he stayed at the company. At the end of each year, he received a standard raise that tended to reflect the rising cost of living in his area and then some.

This year, however, the company decided to manipulate their standard cost of living increase and keep the author's salary at what was technically minimum wage. That was the final straw for this guy, who proceeded to march right into his boss's office to confront him on his lack of an expected raise.

Abandoning a cat is heinous. We don't have any other, more fitting word to describe this deed. Adopting a cat in the first place is like adding another, floofier member to your family. And when you adopt someone into your family - it means you also "adopt" all responsibility for them. Their well-being, their health, their safety - all are in your hands. And if you break that promise after you adopt a cat, you break something deep in their soul - and probably also in yours. You don't just "let go" of something when you leave a cat behind, you leave part of your soul with it.

Look, we might not be forgiving of people who abandon their cats - and we don't intend to hide it. But we're also very, very, very proud of people who take in these cats in their most dire hour of need. Knowing these people exist out there fills our feline-loving hearts with hope. We want to reach out and say "thanks", on behalf of all cats and cat people whose hearts they warm by them existing and doing their ameowzing work.

And this is exactly the duality of the situation described here below. We absolutely love this cat found a stable forever home, but we hate that she was in such a need in the first place.

Free childcare is nothing to take lightly. It's worth enough to the point that most couples have to seriously consider one spouse staying home since the cost of childcare, so they could return to work, would nearly eclipse their earnings anyway. 

As it is, childcare is an underappreciated and undervalued form of labor, and people like to make light of it despite the fact that they're in desperate need of it or don't want to do it themselves. It's one of those things where it's a big deal when you have to do it, but not a big deal when you're trying to have someone do it for you. When someone provides free childcare, even casually or occasionally, they're donating something of real value to you, and that's something that needs to be handled respectfully.

Friendships can survive anything, but also can be left on the cutting room floor over 1000 small cuts. It generally comes down to respect and mutual investment. 

Ditching your kids off with someone unannounced and not doing the proper setup and planning to make sure that things are easy for the person watching them are two things that aren't showing respect, and it's no surprise that this friend felt the need to draw a hard line in the sand and set boundaries where there were clearly none being followed or recognized.

As with almost anything, before long, it's only a matter of time before favor becomes an expectation. Whereas she had originally offered to look after the kids, she found that her friend was relying on her more and more for childcare, almost as if she was taking advantage of her love for the children.

Good things come into our lives in the most meowsterious of ways. And by "good things", we obviously mean kittens! The Cat Distribution System has been hard at work recently, and its most current delivery has been this floofy black kitten to a truck driver and his partner. They found her all alone at a truck terminal, and despite not knowing anything about cats or being financially prepurred for one, they decided to take her with them. Honestly, in the end, none of those things matter when it comes to cats. They're fairly intuitive to take care of. All you need is love to give, food to feed them with, and the willingness to put up with their shenanigans.

But, with money being tight and Thanksgiving coming up, this trucking couple wasn't sure what to do with their new feline friend. After much deliberation, they decided to take their kitten with them to their family's house over Thanksgiving, where we're sure she will get a purrfectly warm welcome! Plus, what kitten doesn't dream of being surrounded by tasty food and hoomans who adore them?

When that one critical person quits at their job, it can set into motion a whole chain of other employees quitting.

You'll meet plenty of coworkers throughout your life, and sometimes you meet people who are just A+ workers, dedicated to their job and very good at all of their tasks. They're a bright light — when times get stressful, they can handle it. When customers flip out, they can not only calm them down, but they have that customer leaving with a smile. You think that this person can do anything… until they decide they've had enough. 

Many employees leave their jobs because they're super fed up with management decisions, lack of raises, or they just can't handle negative interactions with customers and clients anymore. But if one employee is feeling that way, there's a good chance that other workers have a similar feeling. That can cause entire workplaces to walk out all at once! It's rare, but when it happens, it can be catastrophic for the higher-ups at the company. They're suddenly scrambling not just to complete their managerial duties, but also to hire new staffers, train them, and do all of the work left behind by the employees who left. Who knows — if enough workers leave, even those managers might call it quits!

We're glad that people love dogs, but a lot of cats are still stuck in shelters with little interest in adopting them. Why? We're not sure. Cats are the best. They don't take a lot of work, you don't have to train them, and they even go to the bathroom by themselves! It makes us sad to think of all the kitties in need of homes, but it makes us purrfectly happy when we see people like the dad below, who took meowtters into his own hands to help these shelter cats in need. He dressed up as Santa to go take some pictures with these floofy felines in need of furrever homes in order to help them get adopted by Christmas. If that's not enough to warm your heart, we're not sure what is.

There are a lot of people who will give cats as gifts this holiday season, and we have one word for all of you who want to: don't. Just don't. Well, you can, but not as a surprise. Talk with your husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, roommate, or whoever, but talk to them and decide together before getting a cat. A shocking number of cats are returned to shelters after the holidays because the families didn't want the responsibility, and we literally can't imagine anything worse than giving a cat the taste of love and safety, only for it to be taken away in an instant. Don't be that purrson.

Winter is officially here, everyone, and we don't know about all of you, but we are so, so happy about it. This is the season where we truly thrive. Something about the cold, something about the constant hot coca, something about the layering of the clothes… it gives us power. But maybe it's not those things. Maybe it's actually the fact that the cold makes our cats cuddlier, and constantly having our cats cuddle up to us, curl up in our laps for extra warmth, consistently giving us attention - maybe that is actually what's giving us all this extra power. 

It really is true that cats change their behaviors during the winter. Suddenly, the same cats who spent their days lying in the cool sinks and on the cold floors… those cats are under blankets, living their best lives in that warmth. Those same cats are cuddling us all the time. Those same cats curl up in their little purritos every chance that they get, and our phones… get filled up with cute cat pictures even more than usual. 

The return to office (RTO) epidemic has begun. As companies revel in the idea of returning to in-person work, they forget the reality. Romanticizing the socialization in the break room, the ideation in the conference area, and the banter in the elevator, managers seem to forget the more irritating nuances of in-person office life. 

When this company forced its workers to come back to the office a minimum of 4-5 days per week, they were shocked when the once-empty office space became a boisterous marketplace of chatting, socializing, and mirth. Uh-oh, did management's romanticized dream of returning to the office backfire? When the empty office was suddenly filled with a myriad of lives and personalities of their colorful employees, not only did productivity tank, but the noise level went through the roof, apparently disrupting the boss's meetings and throwing a wrench in their production line. 

Alas, it may have seemed like a good idea to come back to the office, but these employees reminded their managers of the greatest pitfalls of office work, one annoyingly loud cubicle gossip session at a time. 

In this cold winter weather, it's important to stay warm. And we do what we can. We bring out our thick wool sweaters and layer them up. We make our cocoa daily, scalding hot on the stove. We bring out our fluffiest blankets, the kind of blankets that it's nearly impawssible to get out of first thing in the morning. But one thing that we don't think all of you do consistently enough - one thing that warms us from the inside more than the outside… that thing is starting the day with pawdorable cat memes. 

Why is starting the day with silly cat memes so important? The answer is obvious, is it not? Starting the day with purrfect cat memes means starting the day with a smile and a laugh, and we can't think of anything that warms us up faster than a hearty laugh first thing in the morning. This stepmother refused to let her 18-year-old stepdaughter call all the shots.

When you're joining a pre-exisiting family unit as a new member, it can be hard to fit in while asserting your own autonomy. Any stepparent inherently understands this struggle. That being said, there comes a point when you have to stand up for yourself when you're disrespected.

Sure, it can take time for people to get used to your presence, and that requires work and effort from both parties to allow everyone to feel like they have a seat at the table and that they can express themselves to their fullest within the family unit. In this case, years of adjustment had passed, and this 18-year-old stepdaughter was still giving her stepmother a hard time.

However, the straw that broke the camel's back really came when the stepdaughter extended that level of disrespect to her 10-year-old stepsister. It's one thing to be unkind to a 39-year-old woman. It's quite another to be unnecessarily out of order with someone who is just barely double digits.

Bosses do a lot of things that we, the employees, are not always happy with. As hard as you may try, you will never find a boss you 100% agree with. They will delegate tasks to you that you do not want to do, they will make decisions that you think are mistakes, and they will say things you do not want to hear. That is all a part of being a boss, unfortunately.

However, even bosses have lines that should never be crossed, and if they are crossed, something must be done about it.

The boss in the story below thought it was a good idea to use software that clones people's voices on her employee. She used an existing recording of the employee, cloned the voice, and then used a text-to-speech software to fake a recording of the employee saying positive things about their job.

Now, that is an action the boss did that is definitely out of line…
