After losing their soul cat, a lost kitten reminded this pawrent of Artemis, but they didn't know if they could open their heart again

LOL Cats - Tue, 07/07/2026 - 11:15
The heart doesn't always stick to the plan.

Anyone who spends time scrolling through Reddit's r/CatDistributionSystem subreddit knows unexpected cats have a funny way of showing up at just the right moment. The only catch is that the "right moment" doesn't always feel convenient. Sometimes life gets complicated, and an unexpected little visitor arrives with a decision that's much harder than it first appears.

A quiet evening took an unexpected turn after two boys relaxing in a backyard hammock heard faint meows coming from across the street. A flashlight search into the woods led to a tiny 10- to 12-week-old kitten, who came running the moment she heard someone calling. Instead of hiding, she ran straight into welcoming arms as if she'd already decided she'd found the right person.

The little kitten settled in almost immediately. She happily ate, found the resident black cat's litter box, and quickly made herself comfortable indoors. It sounds like the kind of rescue story that usually has an obvious ending, but this one came with a much tougher emotional question.

Last year, the rescuer had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to a beloved cat named Artemis. Anyone who's experienced that kind of loss knows it doesn't simply disappear with time. While the love remains, so does the memory of how painful that final goodbye was. The thought of opening your heart to another cat can feel just as scary as it does exciting.

The little kitten has already made herself at home, and she's made it just as far into her rescuer's heart. That's what makes the decision so difficult. Finding her another home might protect against future heartbreak, but it also means saying goodbye to a kitten that already feels like she belongs. Sometimes the hardest part isn't rescuing a cat. It's deciding whether to let yourself love one again.

26-year-old leaves a hangout early because her friend didn't tell her she was bringing another friend, and now she questions her reaction: 'Later she went to chat with a table of pilots, and again I felt left out'

Fail Blog - Tue, 07/07/2026 - 10:45
Social skills are real skills

Introverts and extroverts speak different languages. The same event can be experienced in totally different ways depending on whether the person experiencing it is an introvert or an extrovert. To me, it's not that extroverts refuse to respect the introvert's way of living; it's that, a lot of the time, they don't even notice things that the other person would deem so big and challenging.  In my opinion, this story is yet another example of that type of situation, and the introverted friend is asking us whether she was right or wrong in leaving the hangout early. Who are we (or anyone) to determine that? Either way, it's good that this friend wants to embrace new perspectives.

22 Classy and Cozy DIY Catios to Build fur your Cat Child this Summer

LOL Cats - Tue, 07/07/2026 - 10:30
It is no secret that we spoil our cat children. Whether it be with costly cat trees, fancy food or technologically advanced toys, there is no limit to what we won't do to pamper our cats. So today we bring forth the purrfect project for summer, the catio.

Catios are one of the best things that a pawrent can purchase for their cat child. Having all that space to roam around safely outdoors does wonders for both you and your cat. On the one hand you can rest easy knowing they are safe and entertained at the same time. On the other hand you are not worried that they will return from the outdoors with a 'gift' of sorts that you do not want. And that is before we get stuck into the meat of the matter which is how much closer such a project and bring you to your cat child and how many enrichment opportunities such a DIY build has on offer.

No matter the size of your catio you are almost always going to be able to give your feline friend some platforms, ledges and ropes to hang around on and climb up high. Giving them full view over their domain and a little exercise along the way. But if you have space for a big enough catio then you can even create a space for yourself amongst the toys and trees. Allowing you to spend time with your cat child outdoors, so you can finally yell at birds with them, scream at squirrels and spend quality time cuddling right after. So what are you waiting for get scrolling and dream up your purrfect catio today!

Job applicant deleted company website from Wikipedia after CEO showed his true colors during interview: ‘He kept me waiting an hour, hadn't read my resume, tried to get personal info’

Fail Blog - Tue, 07/07/2026 - 10:00
Have you ever left a job interview and felt like the company doesn't deserve to even exist? The interview was so terrible, and you were treated so poorly, that you want to stop other people from having the same experience.

Unfortunately, you can't really bring a whole company down after one bad interview. But that doesn't mean that you can't have the last word, and maybe show the hiring manager who's the real boss here. You just have to be clever and creative enough to pull it off.

These days, when a company has a bad reputation, there are several ways you can find out about it, the main one being Glassdoor. This website allows people to leave their honest reviews about a company and its people, and prevents some job seekers from signing a contract with companies that truly don't deserve their time. But leaving a bad review is not enough for some people; they seek an opportunity to actually get revenge for the experience they were forced to go through.

That is what led the job applicant who shared the story below on Reddit's r/pettyrevenge to find their revenge on Wikipedia.

Their interview with a company's CEO couldn't have gotten worse. The CEO was an hour late, didn't read the resume before, asked irrelevant questions, tried to get personal information on former coworkers, and all that in the span of a 10-minute interview. When the applicant finally left, they discovered Glassdoor and, with it, the many unhappy reviews that were left on this company and its CEO. They also discovered that the company has a Wikipedia page that was basically an ad for the company.

This job applicant was not the only one who saw this Wikipedia page as an opportunity to take revenge on the CEO and his poor treatment of potential employees. Many turned to this page and left their mark, but this applicant took it one step further. They cleverly found a way to get the page deleted for good. The rest will be uncovered in the story below.

A Feline Bakery Full of Loafing Cats Shaped Like Freshly Baked Bread

LOL Cats - Tue, 07/07/2026 - 09:45
Welcome to the feline bakery! The bread is fluffy, the paws are tucked in, no tail is visible, and every loaf comes with whiskers. Cats can do many wonderful things, but few are as perfect as the cat loaf. We don't know how they do it, but they tuck every paw under their body and turn into a perfectly shaped loaf of bread.

Every cat owner knows the pose. The paws disappear, the tail gets neatly arranged, the body becomes compact, and the face stays serious, as if this behavior were completely normal. And to them, it is. They are resting in the coziest way possible. To us, we may need a kinesiologist to recover from the twisted wrists. But they are completely safe; don't worry. In fact, did you know they actually do this when they feel safe? So it's a good sign your cat feels safe with you. They tuck their paws in because they don't feel the need to run or escape. That's sweet.

Cats have mastered the art of loafing because they have a natural talent for becoming the cutest thing in the room, and they love showing it off. Some cat loaves look perfectly symmetrical, while others look slightly melted around the edges. But every one of them deserves appreciation because they look so funny. The cat loaf is both elegant and ridiculous. Cats know exactly what they're doing, sitting there with so much confidence, pretending they're so mysterious while looking like a loaf of bread in the middle of the couch, ruining their so-serious reputation.

The cat loaf looks peaceful and satisfying. It's peak comfort for a cat. It's the kind of comforting cat behavior that makes you stop whatever you're doing and say, "Oh, look. A loaf." It is calm cat energy at its finest. Forget about the zoomies, the chasing, and the chaos. Loafing cats look like they have fully accepted their destiny as a household bread product.

Are you ready to enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at a feline bakery? These freshly baked cats are loafing around, straight out of the oven.

Man skips anniversary dinner for a baseball game and lies to his fiancée, sibling reveals the truth, now the wedding is on hold: 'She deserved to know'

Fail Blog - Tue, 07/07/2026 - 09:00
Missing an anniversary dinner is not great, but lying about why you missed it only makes everything worse. And sometimes, lies can reveal a much bigger problem.

In this story, the groom-to-be told his fiancée that he missed their anniversary dinner because he had been called into work. That would be a bit disappointing, but understandable, because work emergencies happen. Some responsibilities cannot be avoided, and his fiancée perfectly understood that. The problem was that it wasn't true.

The worst part is that this man dragged his sister into his lie by asking her not to say a word about it because telling the truth would "only make things worse". And sure, a baseball game doesn't sound like an obligation or an emergency, or anything unavoidable, so of course he wouldn't want to tell his fiancée that version of events. In his mind, it was apparently better to hide the fact that he just didn't want to celebrate their anniversary that day. It seems that discussing the possibility of moving the anniversary dinner was not an option for him. "Yes, it's definitely better to lie about this and never communicate honestly with my partner." I don't understand what goes on inside the mind of some guys.

Anyway, his fiancée seemed to believe this version of events so much that she actually praised him for caring about his job. And that was the moment the sister couldn't keep her mouth shut anymore. She had to let her know the truth.

IT employee gets reported for stealing company laptops by coworker, only for HR to discover everything was fully approved: 'HR already had all the paperwork before you even finished your report'

Fail Blog - Tue, 07/07/2026 - 08:15
When you jump to your own conclusion… this can happen!

A coworker spotted an IT employee leaving the office with a couple of laptops and immediately reported them to HR for stealing. The accusation grew quickly, and the next morning, the IT employee was sitting at their office and was asked about those materials. In that moment, she pulled out all the paperwork HR had approved for her to take those equiptment to another office.

The best part of this story is how it ended: with the IT employee laughing at the coworker's face when she pretty much revealed she was the one who filed the report. I'm really surprised by how some workers can accuse others of serious things without any proof… but apart from the accusation, how about being a team player?

I've always tried to be a good coworker and help out if anyone has any issues with something, and things like that. If I saw one of my peers stealing office equipment, I'd most certainly demand an answer directly from them instead of reporting them asap. I feel like I owe someone the benefit of the doubt before filing an accusation that could end up affecting me, just like it happened to this woman.

The most important thing we can learn from the story posted by this Redditor is that being a good coworker is important. We spend a lot of time at the office, so having a good relationship with most people is crucial so that our days don't feel like a huge burden. And secondly, if we were ever trying to accuse someone of something as serious as stealing, let's make sure we have good proof and confirmation if we don't want to make a fool out of ourselves.

Petflix and Chill With These 26 Feline Funnies for Relaxed Cat People

LOL Cats - Tue, 07/07/2026 - 08:00
Cats may have their mayhem moments, but mostly they're just chill little guys.

Every cat pawrent knows that cats have their own crazy times. Some might sprint with the power of zoomies in the middle of the night, while some cats have a constant need to bite and scratch stuff like the world is their lunch, and other cats just can't stop meowing no matter what. It's just their very cat nature, but we all live in peace with it. We love our cats exactly as they are. Especially because, mostly, they're very chill, despite the occasional meowing mayhem potential.

Every person who has ever raised a cat knows that most of their cat's day is full of sunbeam naps, purring with scritched at the chin, and cuddling on your lap like they're the Olympic champions of sleeping. Cats are really just chill. And that endless relaxation, full of feline fluff and sweet smiles, is such an essential part of raising a cat. People who might have never had a cat of their own might not believe it, but it's true. Cats are super chill, and that's a prime contributor to a household's general relaxation.

So whether you have a cat or not, try to loosen up a bit, relax and unwind, with the power of cat energy. And that's done, unsurprisingly, with lots of online feline funnies - the best humorous and hissterical pieces of cat comedy. Just kick back and have some relaxing laughs with these cat memes, it's what they're here for.

Ex-employer asks employee to write a positive review for them on a third-party platform—employee leaves them a scathing 1-star review and gets their fake positive reviews removed: 'I reported the 3 new 4.5-star reviews for manipulation'

Fail Blog - Tue, 07/07/2026 - 07:30

When ending a relationship with an employee, for the employer, things are quite simple. One minute there is a relationship, and the next it ends. There's really no need to even leave that relationship on a good note, since they don't need anything from them going forward.

But dealing with a former employee or ending an employment relationship is much trickier for employees, who need to have some sort of viable referral for future jobs. So they're especially incentivized to leave on amicable terms and, further, have some level of requirement to make sure that those terms stay amicable.

But for employers? It doesn't really matter if they drove their staff straight into burnout as a cost-saving measure, as long as management continues to feign stupification any time someone brings bad employment to their attention, then, well, it isn't really going to affect them negatively.

21 Big Cat Memes for When You Have Big Cat Feelings

LOL Cats - Tue, 07/07/2026 - 07:15
Every cat person knows the big cat feels.

When you feel like you have to nap in every place, comfortable or not, in this instant, right meow - that's a very big cat feeling. When you feel like you have to bite something, anything, doesn't matter what, just bite the nearest cardboard box or couch handle - that's some huge cat feeling. When you feel like you have to run in the middle of the night, like when the zoomies take over every fiber of your being - that's undeniably cat of you. And every cat person knows these feelings very well - they're not random, we know they come from our cats.

And when you have such big cat feelings, what better way to process them than with big cats? Such big cat feelings don't belong to your house cat alone (even if you have a whole clan of cats living with you). And besides, when these big cat feels hit, your cat becomes too small for them… yes, that can happen. And that's where big cats enter the picture. Tigers, lions, leopards, even bobcats - they're all basically big cats.

If you're not a casual visitor, but know a thing or two about how we deal with things here, you already know that the answer given to almost anything in the I Can Has Cheezburger HQ is "look at some cat memes". But since big cat feels require big cat attention, we got that covered with some big cat memes. The meow more, they roar it all out, and they're basically your average domestic cat in a large suit.

Parents say 'no cat' for 7-year-old girl's birthday, but the cat distribution system has something else in mind, surprising her with a kitty who chooses both her and her parents, forcing them to accept their daughter's new best friend

LOL Cats - Tue, 07/07/2026 - 05:45
The cat distribution system and fate work hand in hand, and there's just no stopping them.

She was coming home from summer camp when a kitty ran right up to her in the backyard. She's 7-years-old, a nascent and innocent age. We've all been 7, and we know how the little things really matter. In Reddit's r/CatDistributionSystem the unthinkable can happen. It's a dream come true to get a kitty for a birthday gift when you're a little girl, but originally these parents said no. Her second choice was a Nintendo Switch, which she got. Little did she know her disappointment about not getting a cat wouldn't last for long because now she got both! The kitty ran up to her and the pair of them immediately started snuggling. It was only a week ago that she asked for a cat. They put out food and water for her and went to pet her every 30 minutes or so. The kitty cried outside and was waiting on the little girl when she woke up. They named her "Miss Elliot," and she'll be getting wet cat food and a vet visit.

It's just a matter of time before the cat distribution system gets you too! As fate would have it, this little girl deserved the kitty. It's extra special to see that her parents are going with the flow about it instead of doubling down on a no. Read the full story below.

29-year-old employee leaves his job as a specialist at a small planning and design firm and his ex-boss instists on him leaving a review on a popular local job review site: 'He wanted a review? Fine. Let's comply'

Fail Blog - Tue, 07/07/2026 - 05:00
Heartfelt review

Sometimes our managers are so spaced out that they don't notice their employees are having an awful time working at their companies. You might even resign without another job secured and block them everywhere, and they still wouldn't notice. If it were for them, they would call you from a different number just to ask you to post an honest review of the job online, thinking you would review them beautifully. That's what happened to this maliciously compliant employee, who managed to get the last word on the subject.

Employee gets ignored for years, quits, then gets offered everything she asked for in a counteroffer: ‘Where was this 8 months ago?’

Fail Blog - Tue, 07/07/2026 - 04:15
Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone?

This company paved over this woman's work, suggestions, and insights for two years, so she gave her notice and then, oh then, they suddenly knew what they got and had magic money to accommodate what she's been asking for. They say if you love something, set it free. Your employer doesn't love you to say the least, so it's no surprise they make even the breakup part hard.

They got hit with the let go cliche, she got hit with be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it. This story has it all, folks.

Cat Owners Share Funniest Photos of How to Stop Fiesty Felines From Stealing Your Food

LOL Cats - Tue, 07/07/2026 - 04:00
Anyone with a cat, or really with almost any pet, has to deal with their silly friend's attempts to constantly take a bite out of their hooman food.

They are curious, and they want to be a part of your day, even if it's just spending time with you while you eat. But there is a big difference between cats and most pets that makes the experience of eating around your fluffy feline much more… exciting.

Most pets cannot access the table as you sit down to eat your meal. Some dogs, for example, might be tall enough to be able to look at your plate, but it takes some effort on their part to actually reach it. The same can be said about nearly every other pet, all except one: The beloved cat.

Cats, as we all know, are graced with the ability to reach almost any place they set their hearts on. If they decide they want to sit at the top of the fridge, they will find a way up there, no matter the obstacles. Which means that your dinner plate is a small peak to conquer. They have absolutely no problem jumping on the table and shoving their little faces into your plate. And if they want to take a bite, well, you will have to have some sort of super speed to actually stop them before they do.

Which is exactly what inspired the hissterical collection of photos below. One cat owner on TikTok shared a video of how they managed to stop their cat before the fiesty feline took over their plate, which only inspired other hoomans to share their own experience with the exact same problem. This led to not only a funny collection of photos about the shared experience of owning a cat, but it also gives any cat owner the confirmation that they are never alone.

'You Shall Not Pass': 21 Black Cat Memes for Fans of Tiny House Panthers

LOL Cats - Tue, 07/07/2026 - 03:15
What makes black cats such legendary little troublemakers?

Some cats quietly blend into the background of a home. Black cats seem to do the exact opposite. Even when they're sleeping in a corner, they somehow become the main character of the room. Maybe it's the dramatic expressions or the way they stare at people as if they're constantly evaluating every decision being made around them.

A few years ago, I visited someone whose black cat had mastered the art of appearing at the worst possible moment. The second a video call started, the cat would jump onto the desk and position itself directly in front of the camera. It happened so consistently that everyone eventually started expecting the cat to make an appearance.

Then there's the famous black cat invisibility trick. During the day, they're easy to spot. At night, though, they become little furry ninjas. More than once, I've nearly tripped over a black cat that was silently sitting in the middle of a hallway, completely blending into the darkness and watching the chaos unfold.

That combination of confidence and unpredictability is exactly why black cat memes never get old. One minute they're acting like majestic wild animals surveying their territory. The next they're stuck inside a cardboard box they clearly don't fit into. Somehow, both versions feel equally accurate to anyone who has ever lived with one.

Of course, we can all guess that black cats aren't helping their reputation either. They seem to enjoy keeping people on edge. They'll stare intensely at an empty wall for twenty minutes, sprint through the house at full speed for no apparent reason, and then curl up on your lap as if nothing unusual happened. Living with a black cat often feels like sharing your home with a tiny, lovable mystery that has absolutely no interest in explaining itself.

Best friend of six years dates the guy her friend liked in high-school, leaving her questioning if the friendship was toxic or if she is viewing everything from the lens of her own hurt: 'Was this friendship unhealthy from both sides?'

Fail Blog - Mon, 07/06/2026 - 16:15
When so many things happen within a friendship, you start to lose track.

Luckily, most of this intense drama happens in high school and stays there. Still, years later, we find out we're paying the price to this day with numerous insecurities and sensitivity around certain topics. When we get older, we tend to cut off certain friendships the minute they become complicated and not stay around for so long, creating unnecessary entanglement. Something like this happened to this woman, who's now sharing her story, and debating whether her friend at the time was insensitive and if she herself contributed to creating unnecessary drama. Have you been in similar situations yourself? Were you forgiving about them or not?

Couple goes catfishing for 4th of July, accidently catches a kitten instead: 'No catfish, but we did get a new friend!'

LOL Cats - Mon, 07/06/2026 - 15:15
Woah…they got a pretty big "cat" fish!

Life is full of puns, silliness, serendipity, and symbolism if you let it. Of course when this couple from Reddit's r/CatDistributionSystem goes out for catfish they come home with a real cat. The couple was visiting family from out of state for the holiday weekend, 4th of July that is. They decided to go out catfishing because it's free fishing day due to the holiday. On the way there, they found a little grey kitten running around the dock. She was so cute and trying to get at the catfish bait because it was raw chicken with Jell-O mix on it. They gave her some to try and she was clearly very hungry, so she was more comfortable to approach them. She got within a foot of the couple, but they didn't want to scare her off so they didn't try to grab her. They didn't want to risk accidently letting her go, because they felt a kinship with her. They left, but returned the next day with a crate and wet food. They did end up getting her to voluntarily go into the crate to get the food. Within ten minutes of bringing her back she was letting the nice couple pet her and was even trying to play with them. She seems healthy though she's a woodsy kitten and has been all by herself. They're going to adopt her and the first thing is the vet visit.

And of course they have to name her Catfish (Fish for short), since they found her in the most serendipitous and unique way. They didn't end up with fish for dinner, but they did get a new furry friend. Please enjoy the adorable and heartwarming story below.

Corporate employee needs to log in day sheets with the tasks he does, but he has nothing to do for most of the day and doesn't know how to pretend anymore: 'What am I supposed to log when I literally have nothing left to do? '

Fail Blog - Mon, 07/06/2026 - 15:00
What to do when there's nothing to do. Sometimes pretending to work is harder than actually working.

Lately I've been encountering a lot more stories on Reddit about this issue than I used to. This could be either because now it is something that people bring to the conversation and not just pretend, or because now it is more common with this AI and more intuitive systems. We know that traditional jobs are changing  A LOT. Everything has become easier to do, which is great for the most part, but it also means that fewer people are required to do a job. Before, it was usual to see more than two receptionists at a doctor's front desk. Now you are lucky if there's one. This is because of all the new systems they use that keep the information more accessible and make the workload smaller. There is no reason to have more than one employee for that job anymore.

This has also happened in the corporate world. A few decades ago, we had an employee who was in charge of only transferring the text written by hand to a typewriter. Nowadays, that feels completely dystopian with all the new technologies that allow you to even dictate to the computer. All the changes resulted in fewer jobs and fewer employees. The advancement has been even bigger in the last 5 years, that made the workloads of corporate employees even smaller, but if they say something, they would just fire someone. So now these employees are stuck pretending to be super busy so management and higher-ups don't realize that they can do their jobs in 2 hours instead of 9.

This can't run forever. Companies are going to notice the incredible shortage in workload. This can bring two possible futures. Either they start hiring employees to work only for a couple of hours a day, or they start having fewer and fewer employees till we are all completely replaced by robots.
