We would happily upgrade to sit next to a self-proclaimed "giant cat". Just saying.

Purrsonally, we've never flown with our cats. They're not very adventurous, prefurring their cozy home and alone time instead of the stress of airports, planes, and new homes while on vacation. But that doesn't mean every cat is like that! Some cats love to travel, and we give all those who travel carefully with their fluffy felines a big round of appaws. It's not easy to fly with a pet, even if you're a seasoned purrfessional.

If all goes well, your cat, in their airline-approved cat carrier, will sit under the seat in front of you and sleep most of the way. Maybe, if everyone around you is sleeping or feline-friendly, you can let them sleep on your lap for a while. Unless… your cat demands a whole row to themselves, then you might have to force passengers to change their seats to give him enough room, cause a whole soap opera even before taking off, and get a whole plane full of people to give you the evil eye for the next six hours.

That's what happened on this Alaska Airlines flight. The cat, which apparently belongs to an airline employee, was given preferential treatment over a paying customer. What hurts even worse? The customer actually paid for an upgraded seat… and was seated in a normal economy after. If you're going to downgrade us for a cat, we had better be able to pet the cat, and it had better be a rescued cheetah, or something like that.

If you're someone who can sit still in one place and work for 8 hours straight without moving… please stand up.

It's time to shake your legs and move around a bit, because it's never healthy to stay seated in one place for too long. Every worker should be able to leave their workspace and freshen up from time to time, and we don't just mean during lunch break.

If you walk into a modern office, you will probably find lots of open spaces, cozy sitting areas, and inviting couches spread all around the office. The question is, do you ever see people using these spaces, or are they there simply for decoration? Do people prefer to sit at their desks all day long, or do they enjoy a change of scenery from time to time and allow themselves to work from the comfortable couch next to the kitchen, or the beanbag in the corner of the office?

Since we aren't really built to sit still for so many hours a day, we assume that most people embrace a change of scenery and move around as much as they can during work hours. However, if they have a micromanager like the one below, this might not even be an option for them, which is something that should not be allowed to happen.

The employee below shares these thoughts exactly, ever since their boss told them they are not allowed to work from anywhere other than their office desk. This demand did not sit well with the employee, and instead of staying quiet and letting their micromanager get what he wants, they decided to confront him.

May the Fourth be with you! Star Wars Day shows up and suddenly every cat in the house is giving off strong furce energy. Some are full Jedi, sitting still like tiny Yodas, watching everything like they know exactly when dinner is coming. Others? Straight Sith. These cats have been living in their own galaxy this whole time, we're just lucky enough to be background characters in it.

She signed up to foster, and ended up with a cat of her own.

It started with fostering. Four months spent working with two terrified cats, building trust slowly, sticking with the routine, knowing they would eventually move on to other homes. That's usually how it goes. You help, you let go, and you do it again.

Now this foster pawarent has her very own cat. Wonda is three years old, a Maine Coon who was originally meant to be a breeding cat. Mild hip dysplasia and not getting along with the other females after being sterilised meant she needed a different setup. Instead of another temporary stay, she ended up in a home where she could just stay.

The first night could have been quiet. New place, new person, and everything was unfamiliar. It would have made sense if she hid and took her time. Instead, the second the lights went out, she came right over, flopped down, and settled in. Purring, kneading, and pressing close like she already knew where she belonged.

After all that time fostering, there's no handoff here. No one coming to pick her up, no packing her things to leave. She's settled in, acting like she's always been part of the place, and this time she's staying.

This job candidate has come to terms with not getting the gig, but they've decided to go down swinging!

You know what, maybe we need more callouts if we ever want the hiring economy to work again.

This man developed a deep connection to his neighbor's cat to the point where he thought the cat was a stray! Sometimes fate works in mysterious ways. 

He lived 10 years in the same home, and this cat was outside all the time. Purring, rubbing up against him, and excitedly receiving catnip (no food though). The guy thought the cat was a stray before he realized it's his neighbor's cat, who's actually well taken care of. He moved three years ago, and thought it would be the last time he saw the cat. Lo and behold, fate had different plans for him.

When cats bond, they bond hard. But it's true that they don't bond with just anyone. They choose - carefully - the people or animals that they bond with. And being picky is no sin. Sometimes, cats choose humans - they adopt us, they snuggle with us, they love us for the rest of their lives. Other times, in the same way that they choose us, cats also choose dogs - despite their differences, just to spite everyone who's ever told them that they can't bond with dogs. And other times, they choose other animals. Like this ferret. Enough time, enough proximity, and this can happen. A bond like this, as long as both sides see each other as worthy, can happen, and it's the cutest thing in the world.

Sometimes you have to dig through the world's trash in order to find your treasure. At least that is what happened to the cat lover in this story who saved the cat that would go on to light up her life, along with her kittens.

My boyfriend is the most cat-tastic cat dad I have ever met! He loves his two baby girls, Bubja and Rudy, more than anything in the entire world and would do anything for them. That being said… He is still just a dude, living with another dude roommate, and let's be honest, the cleanliness of any bachelor pad is negligible. So, his litter box cleaning edict is not as tidy as me, his girlfriend, would like.

He is trying, though, he really is; he's a good man, Savannah! But I am very clean and thorough, so even when he does keep up with cleaning the litter, it's truly never clean enough for me. 

Starting a new weekly task thingy when I can't get other weekly tasks done is not the most responsible or reasonable thing to do, but it is very, VERY ADHD. So we'll see how that goes.Enjoy. Providing a temporary place to live for your son and your expectant daughter-in-law when they need it is being supportive and understanding. However, accommodating every request when it affects your comfort isn't always reasonable or negotiable. Certainly not when it involves something as serious and complex as giving birth.
