Neighbor uses homeowner's driveway as personal guest parking for the last three months, calls him “anti-family” when he wants to get her sister's SUV towed: ‘It's clearly marked’

Fail Blog - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 11:30
Being a good neighbor is one thing, but surrendering your driveway in the name of keeping the peace is another.

What is it about neighbors that makes us always come across someone who turns living in a peaceful neighborhood into such a challenge? It's so easy for me: we all have our houses (and our driveways), and the only thing we have to do is respect each other's properties. That's it. So, when I read the story shared by u/tweekiezy so hard to understand, because there's this woman who is clearly crossing the line.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to use your neighbor's driveway… It's so easy to ask first, and then allow your guest to park their car there, if they're not comfortable with leaving them on the street. But they do need to ask first, because someone uses that driveway to access their home… I feel dumb even writing these words… feels so simple!

So why would you let your sister use your neighbor's driveway if you didn't ask first? This, of course, is going to cause trouble with the family next door, because you're not aware of what they're doing and whether they will need the space later that day. I realize now that some things are easier said than done, but when it comes to someone else's property, we have to be more careful and respectful.

And the cherry on top? The argument that developed due to the neighbor's relaxed attitude. When the homeowner knocked on her door to have that car removed, she responded, "to relax," since they were leaving "in a few hours". That's not an acceptable answer: if the owner of the driveway is asking you to move the car, you have to do it. Otherwise, the situation can get messier (which happened), and now there's a big issue with gossip on that street.

Like I said before: some things need to be addressed and asked before using them to avoid future problems with the people who are living next to you…

Person rescues 2 tiny orange kittens trapped in 104-degree heat and under a cinder block, pays "more than their mortgage" at the vet's and doesn't regret a second of it: 'Worth it'

LOL Cats - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 11:15
No matter how expensive, some rescues are simply worth it.

Every pet owner learns very quickly that vet visits… can be expensive as heck. It can be the silliest thing that brings you to the vet. You can take your cat to the vet for a tummy ache, find out that they really needed to just… let out some gas, and it will still cost you a couple hundred dollars at least. We also know that it is worth it. Yes, you will have a scare every once in a while that gets you to the vet, and yes, you, your wallet and your cat will hate it equally. But it is better to be safe than sorry. And our little fluffy babies are worth the money.

Of course, when you adopt a cat for the first time, you may not be aware of just how expensive it is going to be. And when you, like the person in today's story, adopt not one but two kittens, and you do it by rescuing them from extreme heat and from lying underneath a cinder block… then yes, it is going to be one expensive vet trip. The person who wrote this story said this vet visit cost them "more than their mortgage", and you know what? We actually believe them.

And although they had only had these kittens for a couple of hours at that point, they were still at peace with the decision to rescue them and bring them in to the vet. Because some rescues are just… worth it. And the love and joy that these two gingers are going to bring to this house is absolutely priceless.

Job candidate pulls application after 8 interviews and when company demands ‘just one more’, shuts hiring manager down with a better offer: ‘Sorry it didn’t work out'

Fail Blog - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 10:45
Job interviews can reach an extreme point where they feel like a full-time job you're not even getting paid for.

The people who are currently in the job market can confirm that it has gone insane. From the company's side, they know there're a lot of candidates for a single position, so they take the time to analyze and to interview all of them, and for the candidates, the wait can get so long without an offer that they end up feeling discouraged.

I don't really know the reason behind this, but certainly, it has turned into a very complicated game in which getting an offer sounds almost impossible. But I don't want to let anybody down… I'm here to deliver some positivity in this landscape and maybe share some helpful advice.

Or, at least, I'll try to get you something positive out of here!

In the story you're about to read, a candidate endured four rounds and eight interviews just to get him… absolutely nothing. But the worst part of all is that the company told him he was a perfect fit from the first day, and even made two false promises about an offer letter that never came. Because he knew that this was going to take a long time, we started having interviews in other places, hopefully, some more serious companies.

He ended up receiving an offer letter, but sadly, had to renounce the remote chance of getting the position in the first company, which sounded great and had some good referrals. When they told the hiring manager that he was going to accept this offer, they tried to convince him to have "just one more interview", but he knew where this was heading. If they were able to top that offer, then he was willing to accept it. But I guess the company was not really interested and told him it was not possible.

Sounds crazy to me that after eight interviews, they weren't able to provide an offer letter or any type of response… I don't know where the job market is heading with this type of hiring manager.

'Can we keep him?': Recovering from an operation, mother finds little furball on her walk and convinces her husband he's crucial to her healing

LOL Cats - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 10:30
Cats are one of the most healing pets, so it's never a bad time to decide you need a little extra love.

We all need love and hope in our lives. No one goes through life's tumults unscathed. Even if you think someone has the perfect life, they're also having ups and downs like everyone else. This woman just had a major operation and needs to recover. Part of her recovery instructions were to take a walk a certain amount of time each day. One day, she was walking with her husband and child at a local park in the small town where they live. They were walking across the parking lot, and suddenly a little black furball appears at their feet meowing loudly and demanding attention. They didn't see any mama cat around, and he was only a kitten. He started to follow them on their walk so they promptly took him home. They wanted to find a home for him because the mother was mildly allergic to cats, but then their kid said, "can we keep him?" and the rest was history.

The husband went to the store still under the impression that they might rehome the kitten, when his wife calls him and says, "his name is Kai and he's our cat now." He's now gotten all of his shots and he's their big boy and furrever friend. They even have a dog, and the two get along swimmingly. Sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves is go with the flow.

Successful lawyer expects her child-free sister, who's struggling to afford a family trip to Mexico, to babysit her two kids for free so she can have alone time: ‘She could cover a portion of my costs’

Fail Blog - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 10:00
A week in a luxurious resort in Mexico sounds like the perfect place to disconnect and relax, but for this woman, the family getaway came with a big assignment: babysitting.

It's not the first time that I've read about a family vacation going wrong. It's something normal, and it tends to happen more often than not, and it's for one reason only: expectations. When we're kids, we spend vacations with our parents and have a certain idea of what going on a trip means and what things tend to happen, and which ones don't. However, as we grow up, this can change and vary.

And the situation with these two sisters is a great example of this. The story posted in r/familydrama explains that she's a teacher and that going on this trip means a lot financially, and that she's been saving up so she can afford it. Her sister, on the other hand, is a lawyer and can easily fund this whole thing for her husband and two kids also.

But the problem is not really the money, rather that the expections a previuosly mention.

The successful sister is expecting that the teacher is going to be able to babysit her kids during the whole vacation for free, so she can enjoy "adult" time with her husband. She's thinking her sister is not going to have any trouble, considering she's child-free and she loves them… but this has nothing to do with love. It's about everyone enjoying the vacation and disconnecting completely from the routine. Unfortunately, babysitting is not part of the plan.

What the Original Poster is proposing is that the sister should cover some of the costs of her trip if she's expecting her to take care of her two kids… which, to me, sounds like a fair arrangement. Although it's not what she would want (since she doesn't want to babysit at all), it could be helpful for her to get some help with money, and instead of paying her back, she can babysit both kids, and the problem is solved.

Your Weekly Delivery of 21 Soft and Silly Kitten Memes for a Midweek Mood Boost (Aug 26, 2026)

LOL Cats - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 09:45
A functional adult wakes up on Wednesday and knows today will be a long day. Important tasks are pending, your to-do list is full, and adult life responsibilities await you. Kittens, on the other hand, wake up and act silly. That is the entire plan.

Kittens have no concern for deadlines, so they never experience a midweek slump as we do. That's why they are here to help. And how are they supposed to help? With their silliness. Nothing is as soft and as silly as a tiny kitten, and these memes are here once again to make you pause and laugh when your brain needs it most… During midweek!

The midweek boost is strictly necessary for those of us who work and study. Making it to Wednesday is something worth celebrating. There are only two more days left until Friday, and Friday is already the weekend. So keep going, scroll down, enjoy the tiny faces, and allow yourself to be helped by these fluffy troublemakers. If all else fails, just follow their lifestyle: wake up, act silly, go to sleep. Wake up again, act silly, and you know the rest. Sometimes we need to embrace silliness in our lives so we don't take everything so seriously. We need a break from seriousness, don't you think? Adult life is serious enough for us to be so serious all the time. If something doesn't go the way you planned, act silly, take a good nap, and try again later. That's the feline mindset. Maybe it works with humans. Try it out.

Kittens, in fact, are convinced that this routine works. They are devoted and forever committed to this routine. They can start their day with the incredible idea of taking the kitchen towel and carrying it playfully to the couch until they grow tired of it and decide to nap on it. The best part is that later they wake up and do another silly thing. Cats are so random that you never know what you might find them doing when you get home. Maybe they took the kitchen towel again. Maybe they're taking a nap. Maybe both.

Coworker asks colleague to drop them off at the airport at 4am, doesn't understand that it's not normal: 'This seems a bit extreme'

Fail Blog - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 09:00
Would you drive a coworker to the airport?

Driving anyone to the airport is a big ask, no matter who they are. Even if you live relatively close, it's a whole thing. There's always traffic each way, and if you don't time it exactly right, then everything falls apart. It's a stressful operation best left to your closest friends and family. You certainly don't have to go out of your way to do this for a coworker. It's best to keep coworker relationships to a professional level, and not ask too much of each other outside of regular work duties. If the boundaries get crossed, then you might end up in a sticky situation. It's best to err on the side of caution, lest you wind up ruining a work relationship. But when you're in a new workplace, it might take a while to get used to the kind of coworker relationships they value. It's different everywhere, and every job comes with a different set of expectations. Everyone has different kinds of approaches to this dynamic, and you might want to try and adapt to someone else's way of life before you foist your own upon the situation. But you're allowed to draw boundaries anywhere you see fit. You don't have to bend to someone else's desires just because they want you to. The employee in this story, who shared their query to the r/work subreddit, was in the middle of figuring that out.

Illinois company forces employees to use their own phones to authenticate into company systems, leaving them wondering who should be paying their phone bill: 'They say it's for security, but they won't provide work phones'

Fail Blog - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 08:15
At what point should an employer be providing employees with a work phone if they are consistently being asked to use their personal phone for their work?

During one of my first "adult" jobs, I needed a cell phone. The company provided one for me, and that just made sense.

During my second job, I still needed a cell phone, but I was surprised by my new employer's reaction. Shocked actually. The regional manager had been going over requirements for communication and contact for the role. Essentially describing the use of a company phone. I asked him at what point of onboarding I would be getting one. His response? "What's wrong with your phone?"

That answered a lot of questions right there and then. And, I maintain, if your employees have aspects of their job that literally require a company phone, you'd better be providing one.

24 Silly Cats to Sprinkle Some Feisty Feline Foolery Into Your Summer Days

LOL Cats - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 08:00
A cat meme a day keeps the grumpy moods away… or something like that.

As if lately, I've realized that I'm very much enjoying some animal meme content. Even though I've always loved it and always found it funny, these last couple of days I've literally been searching for cat, dog, and animal memes in general. I think because we're reaching this half-time of year, I need a little extra pick-me-up to get me going, and animals deliver exactly that for me.

And I know I'm not the only one. August is that month of the year when everything happens, and it happens all at once. Extreme hot weather, back to school, vacation… everyone is in a different mood, and it's hard to find some normalcy or consistency out there. I'll say that although it can be exhausting, there's something so pretty about everyone living at their own pace and going faster or slower depending on what they are up to.

But wait… because I'm beside the point here, I have to talk about cat memes!

What I wanted to say is that the pick-me-up that helped me get through this time is cat memes… and other things, too. But cat memes do it for me. I can actually confirm to you that I can laugh out loud if I see a cat meme that is just too good, and I can share it with my friends because I want to spread the joy. And you can do that, too! If you find a meme that you like here, you can share that one with your friends and check their reactions.

In these crazy times we live in, if we find some happiness on the internet, we have to share it. And although memes are super simple and there's nothing crazy about them, they were created to make us laugh, and there's something so beautiful about it that we have to share it! And more importantly, these are cat memes, which are the funniest type of memes out there!

Overworked employee gets tired of his boss making him work after hours every single day, so he reaches out to HR and sends all the proof of the unfair workload: 'An email was sent to the whole company saying Mark was "pursuing other opportunities"'

Fail Blog - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 07:30
Sometimes HR is actually on the employee side, and that should be celebrated!

Having a horrible boss that uses their employee to do the work that this person doesn't want to do is actually extremely common. Unfortunately, corporate life can be awful sometimes. Is great to have a steady salary, benefits, PTO, even coffee at your disposal during your whole shift. But there is a horrible thing on the downside. Like having a boss who takes advantage of you to do things that he doesn't want to do, like the one from the story below.

Sometimes we feel as if we are exaggerating something that we feel. When you are a student, you tend to think that a teacher hates you, didn't you? Well, that also happens in corporate life. Is not uncommon to believe that your boss hates you. This could be true, and then you would have an awful boss. Or maybe you are exaggerating and thinking too much about someone who barely knows how you are. This dichotomy is actually what sometimes makes us not speak up during something unfair. The fear of making a big deal over something that was actually nothing.

My genuine advice for this kind of situation? If you feel like something unfair is happening and you are being taken advantage of by someone in a higher position than you. Reevaluate the situation, watch it from another angle. Make sure that is what's happening and not some kind of confusion. If you bring to HR a situation that is actually a misunderstanding (or could be seen as one), then you are putting your job on the line. But if you are sure, speak up. Maybe you are lucky like this person and can get it all figured out for the better.

LOL Cats - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 07:15
You know, while some might say that the hardest part of being a cat pawrent is the pawrent itself. So for all of you missing your cat, we've got your back with this collection of heart-filling feline memes.

It is one of the toughest things we do on a daily basis, leaving our cats all alone so that we can go out and provide for them. But for those of us who have not the privilege, the anguish is real. So to stop you from losing your mind missing your cat child all day long we put together this cute collection of cat child memes that really glorify the things we love about our cats.

So whether you most love the intimate cuddle time you share with your cat. Or the way that you can use them as an excuse to excuse yourself from any and all social situations. Or you are the kind of pawrent who constantly crosses their cat and frequently pays the price. We have got the kind of fur baby funnies to hit home. So sit back, relax and prepaw for the pawdorability.

Company refuses to reimburse employee for business travel expenses, claiming they didn't follow policy, leading employee to spend double on the next trip: ‘They paid up’

Fail Blog - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 06:45
Sometimes, the easiest way to show someone they are wrong is by following their exact instructions and letting them deal with the consequences.

Even though most companies would do anything to save money by refusing to give hardworking employees pay raises or by piling up work on people instead of hiring more staff, there are still many ways these companies waste their precious money. Whatever they "save" by acting cheap in one department gets thrown away in other departments, even when there are plenty of ways to cut these costs.

When you work for companies like that long enough, you learn that even if you come up with a solid improvement plan to save valuable money in these wasteful departments, you will most likely be met with rejection. Changes are often too scary for big corporations, so they would rather keep at it with what they know than introduce a change they don't want to deal with.

The only way to show them they are wrong is by following their instructions and heavily hurting their pockets in the process.

Take the employee below as an example. This employee goes on business trips twice a year, so they are familiar with the business travel expenses they have to submit every time to get reimbursed. After a few trips, this employee realized there are much cheaper ways to manage these expenses, and even offered them to the company in an attempt to save the business a few hundred bucks every trip. However, since these cheaper ways did not follow the policy, the company refused to give them a try, even after the employee insisted they cut major costs.

It was only after the employee followed the policy to the point that the company truly saw how much they were wasting by not listening to the employee who just wanted to help. All it took was adhering to the rules, and the employee got the company to open its eyes to new possibilities.

Funny Feline Memes to Motivate Hoomans Who Want the Gains but Would Rather Skip the Gym

LOL Cats - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 06:30
Nothing kills your motivation to work out faster than realizing you actually have to do the workout.

The workout clothes are on, the sneakers are ready, and the motivation has somehow disappeared without a trace. Suddenly, the couch looks extra comfortable and taking a nap feels much more important than doing squats. Cats understand this struggle better than anyone. Why run voluntarily when you could conserve that energy for a completely unnecessary sprint through the house at 3 AM?

Even getting through the warm-up can feel like an accomplishment. Five minutes on the treadmill and we're already wondering whether that counts as cardio for the week. Meanwhile, a cat would have simply stretched one paw forward, extended the back legs, and called it a successful full-body workout. Frankly, they might be onto something.

Then come the weights. Pick them up, put them down, and repeat? Seems suspiciously like a lot of effort just to end up exactly where you started. A feline fitness plan would involve knocking those weights off a shelf instead and letting the hooman deal with them.

Leg day sounds even worse. Cats get to maintain powerful jumping legs by launching themselves onto the kitchen counter whenever they feel like it. Hoomans have to do lunges until walking down the stairs becomes a personal challenge.

By the time the workout is over, the only thing anyone wants to lift is a snack toward their mouth. Maybe the cats had the right idea from the beginning.

Stretch, nap, eat, and occasionally sprint around for no reason. If that counts as feline fitness, we're ready to sign up for the pawsonal training plan.

28 Cute Cat Memes To Add Sweetness to Your Meowrning Cup of Coffee

LOL Cats - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 05:45
What hooman profession do you think a cat could actually do?

We all joke about the fact that our cats get to live in our home rent-free, doing nothing at all every single day, while we're out there making a living just to ensure they have food on their plate. Obviously, none of us pet pawrent get any recognition for the hard work we put in to make sure our cats have a roof over their heads, but we still do it with a smile on our faces because we just want our fluffy furriends to be happy.

But if you were to actually put your cat to work so they could contribute to the household, what job do you think they could seriously do?

Most cats clock in for a shift or two in the biscuit factory, which we all know and love. There's nothing like the furresh biscuit made by the loving paws of your favorite feline, and in all seriousness, we think they can make some serious bucks if we were to actually sell some cookies made by a pawdorable kitten.

There are plenty of hoomans out there whose cats are actually working pets, like all these influencer cats that have millions of followers. These cats make daily vlogs, share their outfits of the day, and promote a variety of products. Every video posted with their awwdorable faces can reach millions of views, which we are sure pays their pawrents more than just their rent.

So, what job do you think your cat can land? Can they become a cat influencer, or are they better as a simple barista at a local coffee shop? We can tell you that if there is a job out there that includes knocking stuff off the counter, sleeping for most of the day, and meowing in the middle of the night, our cat is purrfect for it. If you hear of someone who's hiring, let us know. In the meantime, make sure to scroll through the hissterical cat memes below.

Two-person office forced to use a fancy phone system with hold music, so workers play the owner’s son-in-law’s terrible CD as muzak, and the requirement gets dropped as soon as a VP hears it

Fail Blog - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 04:15
Two office workers get a fancy phone system designed for a headquarters staff. The owner insists on hold music. The office has Slayer fans and weird music listeners. Neither personal collection fits a client-facing phone line

Unless that client is me, because I'd much prefer Slayer or something weird than the stuff organizations usually have.

I myself was lucky enough to have to call a certain service provider last week.  A service provider that had the courtesy of letting you decide whether to wait for a representative to answer or have them call you back *sometime* if it's not urgent. Which in itself is funny because why would I choose to CALL if it wasn't URGENT?!

But what made it so fun was that they were so eager to remind me of that option that they had a muzak track of around 10 seconds playing and then a recorded bot message saying: to have us call you back *sometime*, press 1. To stay on the line and wait, press 2.

The track was 10 seconds long, and the wait? The wait was over 15 minutes.

Which means my phone number field was their number, then the numbers I pressed to get to the specific service I needed. Then fifteen thousand, twenty-one hundred, sixty-six consecutive TWOS.

So fun.

Anyway, the story below reminded me of just how fun that was, so I just had to tell y'all.

Now let's get to the story.

Cat appears in a stranger’s garage one day and keeps returning until the hooman realizes they may have been chosen

LOL Cats - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 04:00
Some cats wait to be invited inside, while Piper simply picked a garage she liked and started showing up for her daily shift.

Reddit user RoxxStardust shared the newest arrival courtesy of the Cat Distribution System, a sweet kitty who appeared a few days ago and quickly turned what could have been a one-time visit into a routine. Piper has returned every day since, happily hanging out in the garage and keeping her new hooman company. At this point, we're not sure "visitor" really covers it anymore. She has regular hours, a favorite hangout spot, and a human who has already given her a name. That sounds suspiciously like residency to us.

Piper isn't keeping her distance, either. She's incredibly loving and has gotten comfortable enough to walk right up whenever she wants attention. Whether she's a stray who stumbled across the purrfect place or someone's adventurous kitty making daily social calls is still a mystery. RoxxStardust plans to keep an eye out for anyone searching for her before making any assumptions.

In the meantime, Piper has herself a safe place to relax and a hooman who clearly doesn't mind having a furry garage supervisor around. There's even talk of building her a little home out there since she seems so attached to the space. A few days of visits and she's already inspiring home renovations. The CDS works fast.

We have to appreciate Piper's strategy here. Why rush into adoption when you can slowly become part of someone's daily life until they start considering building you your own apartment?

Whether Piper already has a family somewhere or chose this garage as the beginning of her next chapter, she certainly knows how to make herself welcome.

At this rate, RoxxStardust may soon realize it's Piper's garage and the hoomans are just allowed to use it.

22 Country Cats Meowing to "Jolene" to Honor the Purrfect Dolly Parton

LOL Cats - Wed, 08/26/2026 - 03:15
Just a dash of Southern comfort for Dolly fans who are cat pawrents celebrating the life and legacy of a great country singer.

Dolly is one of the most successful and influential musicians of all time. She didn't have it easy in the world, and grew up modest. But she used her brains, brawn, and talent to establish herself as a country music icon that we still love and cherish today. If you like cats, you're sure to love Dolly, because this gal was also an animal activist. She was born in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, and though she lived a long and prosperous life, she will eternally be remembered by I Can Has Cheezburger. She sang of life, love, hope, working 9-5, and the nuances of life. Dubbed "The Queen of Country" for good reason, Dolly represents everything positive in the world, and the amazing talent of women.

Country cats are something Dolly would know everything about. Living the country life is not like a big city, it's not a New Yorker or a California surfer. It's not a Miami partier and it's not a mountain dwelling Pacific Northwester. The south and Midwest make up such a huge portion of the United States, and cultures, foods, and accents vary vastly. Country music is as popular as it gets in those parts, and for anyone who likes it, the twang is something endearing. If you're a Dolly Parton fan and cat person, then you can scroll these slow, rural, and cowboy cat memes to honor a great lady. Enjoy.

Friend gets tired of carrying his friend's suitcase for miles, so he asked them to hold it for 5 minutes, and they denied, then he snapped in anger towards them: 'Out of anger, I said, I’ll cancel the hotel reservation since it’s under my name"'

Fail Blog - Tue, 08/25/2026 - 15:00
Maybe a trip is the best way to find out if your friendship is real or not.

I'd be so sad if one day I'd discover that the people I consider friends for so long are actually entitled and ungrateful. But the worst thing wouldn't be the discovery in itself. It would actually be the fact that there were probably a bunch of signals before that I just decided to ignore.

People change, sometimes for good, sometimes for the bad. And people can, in fact, change dramatically and become unrecognizable, but it is not one day to the other. Is actually a process that takes time. Sometimes people were kinda awful from the beginning, but you didn't notice because it was just little comments that you didn't particularly like, but that weren't that big of a deal to actually condemn them. The actions took over. You started to feel uncomfortable, but probably brushed it off as just a bad day. Till you realize. You realize how awful they are treating you and how, for so long, you thought you were being understanding, only to discover you were actually just allowing this person to mistreat you.

And when you get tired like u/PutridSignature4927 did in this story. There is no coming back. The only solution is "grow apart". Which is just a nicer term for getting out of there. You may try to talk things out, and I would encourage that decision. But the truth is that nothing is going to change. Some people are like that, and we have no choice but to fully accept it and move on.

Content freelancer refuses to take client back after they tried to replace her with AI, then came back to offer 40% less than what they paid before: ‘They failed’

Fail Blog - Tue, 08/25/2026 - 14:15
They should have offered her 40% more, not less.

Anyone who has worked with clients knows they tend to approach any work you do for them as if you always have to prove why you are worth the money they pay you. Even though they willingly hired you to do the job, they still act as if they believe it's not worth the money, and they could have done it themselves for a lot less.

Most clients, once you actually provide the work, will come to the understanding that what you do is actually important to their business, while some will back out after a few months with the claim that they want to try to do it alone. Or, in the case below, with the help of none other than AI.

You know it is only a matter of time before they eat their hats and come crawling back to you.

This content freelancer, u/NegotiationStrict473, posted a story about how brands tried to replace them with AI and miserably failed. Like any business that just discovered the wonders of AI, they thought they could do their marketing alone with these tools and were shocked to see their numbers plummeting after posting these AI-generated videos everyone hates.

So, after this experience tanked, the brand had no choice but to come back to the freelancer and offer to take them back. However, after they stupidly cut ties with this freelancer and after they suffered from their experiment, you would think that they would offer to pay the freelancer much more than before. But no, the offer they put on the table was actually 40% less than what they paid the freelancer before they went the AI route.

So they broke the previous agreement, failed with their experiment, learned nothing, and then came back expecting a discount.

Even though the freelancer could use the money, they don't think it's right to accept this insulting offer. But what should they do instead?
