This little black kitten went from engine trouble to spoiled house cat in one day.

Remy really started his new life in the most dramatic way possible after being found crying for help underneath the hood of a car. Tiny kittens somehow always managed to end up in the wildest places too. One minute the neighborhood heard little cries coming from inside an engine, and the next multiple people were gathered around trying to rescue one tiny orange baby who had apparently decided a car hood was the perfect hiding spot.

At only six weeks old and barely two pounds, Remy already sounded like he completely took over the household emotionally. Tiny kittens at that age somehow looked extra small too, especially when they were fresh off the streets and suddenly discovering warm blankets, regular meals, and people ready to spoil them endlessly. It's impossible not to immediately get attached to a kitten that tiny.

The sweetest part was how quickly Remy settled into being loved. Going from abandoned and crying alone under a car to becoming somebody's new baby is such an unbelievable little life upgrade. Meanwhile Rosie stepping into the role of big sister made the whole thing even better. Older cats always seemed to know when a tiny kitten needed somebody to watch over them. Instead of chaos and drama, Remy apparently got welcomed into the house by a patient tuxie sibling and a human already completely obsessed with him. That tiny little hood kitten seriously landed on his paws.

Some cats turn into complete cuddlebugs the second a stuffed animal enters the picture.

Cats sleeping with stuffed animals is one of the cutest things in the entire feline universe. The second a cat curls up beside a plushie or wraps tiny little paws around one during a nap, all the usual cattitude completely disappears. Suddenly the same furry menace who spent the morning knocking things off shelves and sprinting through the house at top speed just looks like the softest little cuddlebug alive.

Some cats even get attached to specific stuffed animals and refuse to sleep without them nearby. The big, open world is a dangerous place for a helpless kitten. 

Coyotes, raccoons, eagles, critters, cars, and a seriously dismal lack of milk bottles can make life extra difficult for baby kitties on the streets. Oftentimes, baby cats rarely survive in the wild on their own. Especially without a mama cat to protect and care for them, a kitten's odds of survival aren't very good on its own. 

But some kittens are destined to be survivors. 

Some kittens are born to be house cats, and despite being born on the streets and dealt a tough hand, these cats defy the odds and survive anyway. Stubbornly cute and determined to see the dawn of every new day, kittens born in the wild can become tenacious, playful, wilderness rats. Adorable scraggly and mewing like a fiend, these kittens scream into the void and call out to cat lovers everywhere; with mews stronger than the power of the bat signal, cat lovers from all directions can come rushing to save them. 

This kitten, later named Juniper, was determined to survive. Alone and afraid in the rolling green hills of an enormous city park, this kitten pushed the limits of what is humanly possible, surviving each day solo until the likes of a pair of heroic hoomans heard his cry. Juniper was bundled like a Christmas package under the likes of a bushy pine tree, and it's as if he knows his life is a gift. Cat lovers recognize that every feline life should be valued as a gift, and by rewarding this fighting feline with a soft life, they've recognized that this little survivor deserves all the best things in this world including (but not limited to) a sunny nap spot in the window, infinite forehead kisses, and a slathering of gravy on their kitty kibbles every morning. 

Now that's a good indoor cat life in the making. 

Cats want to be inside. 

They want to be warm, they want to be cherished, they want to be cuddled, they want trickling water fountains, and they want their kibbles with a side of kitty gravy. Cats are quite simple, really; they ultimately just want to be the centerpiece of every human household, worshiped and loved like they're the feline deity of the entire neighborhood, destined for a life of leisure and kissed every morning. 

That's the duality of felinehood, however, because cats are also nimble outdoor survivors. 

Bestowed with abilities that make them deft predators, cunning climbers, and acrobatic attackers, kitties may be well-built for a rought and tumble life outside, but that is not where their little hearts lie. Kittens dream of a sunlit nap spot, a nibble of house plant leaves, and the peaceful sound of silence when the humans leave the house for work every morning. Cats may have the skills to survive outside, but that's not where they want to be. 

This kitten, a feisty orange warrior, had started his existence in the woodpile outside with his tabby cat siblings and happily feral mama. Although he'd known no other life than the crumbling facade of the woodpile's shelter and the foraging for food and the fight to survive, deep down, this kitten knew there had to be more out there. 

Climbing to the surface of the woodpile, this mighty orange kitten found exactly what he was looking for: two bipedal human roommates with a kind heart and a house that could use a resident feline. With all of his strength and all of his might, this kitten meowed for help, screaming for the attention of a pair of cat lovers, hoping they could show him the world of luxury. Although it went against his survival instincts to uncover his hiding spot, this orange kitten took a chance… And it paid off.

Tangerino really went from Florida street cat to full international traveler in record time. One minute he was a community TNR cat hanging around outside, and the next he was making a two-day journey across cars, planes, boats, and trains all the way to England. That is an unbelievable upgrade for one little orange guy who originally just decided to follow somebody home.

After some Facebook searching and getting approval from his feeder, the rescue mission officially started. Then came all the chaos of carrier training, harness practice, changed flights, and of course one final street fight right before departure because orange cats always seem determined to keep life stressful until the very end.

Now Tangerino is curled up beside a heating pad adjusting from Florida heat to English weather like a tiny tourist completely unprepared for winter. It is a pretty huge lifestyle change after spending so much time outside fighting, sleeping on sidewalks, and surviving however he could.

The best part is knowing he never has to go back to that life again. No more fleas, mosquitoes, dirt, or worrying about his next meal. Now he gets warmth, safety, naps, and somebody who clearly loves him enough to bring him across the ocean just to make sure he gets the life he deserves.

The closer it gets to the weekend, the more healing silly cat memes become. 

Furiday feels like the perfect time to slow the brain down a little and enjoy some completely unserious cat memes. After spending the week dealing with work, responsibilities, notifications, and trying to function like a normal adult, there is something nice about mentally checking out for a few minutes and looking at tiny furry creatures being ridiculous. Whether it's our houses that become contained cat kingdoms, or it's our whole large properties that become a fully-fledged feline dominion - cats seem to rule our lives in any form we choose to live them. And look at us, cat people, happily living under our feline overlords like it's just another Tuesday. So it's no wonder that when a meowgnificent kitten joins the farm family of the person who saved her - she becomes the undisputed queen of the region, ruling the humans and livestock alike. Cats have a way of calming us feline fans down. They also have a unique skill of stressing us out in a split second, but that's a topic for a different article. The only fate we believe in is feline fate, and that's because we've seen too many kitty rescue stories to believe otherwise. The cats either escape or are dumped in a random location (rarely, they are "stolen" by feline enthusiasts who are willing to give them a better home), and then wait for the right purrson to come along. It's a sad life, but it's the unfortunate reality we live in.

But like we said, we believe in the Cat Distribution System and its all-powerful fateful feline forces, and Noodle's story just confirms it. Noodle, a sweet, sensitive cat was literally thrown out the window of a car while driving through a neighborhood. We don't know anything about his previous family, but we think it's safe to assume that anyone who would throw their cat out of a vehicle is horrible. Stick with us, we're getting to our point, that is this: sometimes, something horrible has to happen in order to get you to where you're truly supposed to be. And Noodle's place was with the purrson he ran up to after being abandoned, who immediately fell in love with his charm. Not to mention his awwdorably fluffy face!

If they hadn't abandoned him, Noodle might still be living with a family who doesn't love him, instead of curled up with his new pawrent who cares for him like their own son. The process may have been painful, but in the end, he found his home furrever.

Our pets are more than just playful and fun; they really have animal instincts to help us. 

Cats go through a myriad of emotions, just like we do. They may look like havoc causing, chaotic creatures, full of mischief and playfulness. They may look like they're dozing into another dimension, or like their cute simplicity starts and ends at the superficial, but it's not even remotely true. After living in a hardware store, this kitty became a new hoMEOWner (and a mama!). 

A cat used to be a skittish, scaredy-cat outside the local hardware store, but then one day, a cat lover and loyal customer noticed a big difference. As if she had grown tired of a life on the street, this kitty flipped a friendly feline switch and came running to a kindhearted hooman, meowing for aid and hoping they'd help her. With what, you might ask? Well, this kitty had a surprise duplication spell brewing in her belly, and she knew just the exact cat-loving hooman who could help her and keep her safe. 

Turns out, this kitty wasn't just looking for a new home for herself, but her 5 kittens as well. 

Felines are reserved and rarely show their affections. While they're full of love and cuddles, cats reserve their sweetness for only the most special of humans, which is what makes them so unique. Unlike dogs, who wag their tails with every stranger, cats have a select few human friends who deserve every ounce of their love. This kitten, a once lonely tabby cat, was afraid of the humans before she felt life inside her tummy. Knowing she was going to become a cat mama, she decided to take a leap of faith and trust the bipedal giants who frequented her local hangout. 

Instead of running away like usual, she stood her ground and mewed meekly, hoping that her intuition was correct about the cat-loving humans who pspspsed in her direction. Alas, they were as kind as they were eager to help her, purroving that she chose correctly in her human selection. 

These humans deserved every ounce of her affection, and soon, they would be drowning in the clouds and snuggles of 6 new cats, 5 of which were nearly blind, totally helpless, and completely adorable street kittens who needed a furrever home of their own. Alas, when it comes to human/cat relationships, felines can always count on the humans who pspsps their way into the hearts of the feline community, because those cat lovers will always be loyal to the kitty cause.

Bewitched by their resilience and ever-present playfulness, hoomans guile at a cat's marvels, hoping to emulate that curious charm in their own lives. Cases such as the one we are about to read about in this story are tough. There is no clear cut way to say that this happened or that happened. And from the side of the cat pawrents who are telling this story, it obviously looks like their cat child had been stolen and held against his will for several years. But what this family have forgotten to take into account is that a prowling male cat can have just as many hooman families as they might have female partners. Which is to say there can be several of them and none of them need be the wiser about one and other.

Something which is rather obvious when you consider that this catto strolled back into his original home looking incredibly well fed after three years. So what we might actually be looking at is a case of a cat who was fed up with one of his families and decided to take a nice little multi-year vacation from them.
