35 Feline Funnies Featuring the Most Cat Pawsts of the Week

Tue, 06/16/2026 - 06:30
Cat content is everywhere, but funny enough, it's sometimes hard to get to it.

All cat people love a good and healthy dose of cute cat content in their daily scroll. And not just cat people - but everyone. It's no wonder that cats rule the internet for literal decades, because it's not only cat people who enjoy all this ocean of cat content. It's literally everybody. But as cat people ourselves, we're obviously not surprised. Cats are insanely cute, they're so silly it's hilarious, and they never fail to make us laugh or "aww" audibly. It's really no wonder cats have taken the internet by storm, because everybody loves cats - even if they don't know it yet.

But in this endless sea of cats online, how does one know which cat content to look for? What's worth the click, who are the cutest cats, which cat video is the funniest, and what adoption story will melt your heart… so many questions! But this is why we're extra purroud to be us, the great I Can Has Cheezburger hub, giving all cat lovers (and others) the best of the best of what the internet's cats have to offer, all day, every day.

So for this week, at least, don't fret. We've got you covered. We have some feline funneis to get you through the rest of the week with ease. Because, of course, the week is much easier when there's a funny cat on your screen, or a wholesome cat adoption story that can pierce any heart. We love those, you love those, and we love bringing all that cat content to the front and center of the internet.

Woman rescues the struggling runt of the litter, kitten starts to thrive as it befriends her adult cat who was also rescued from the streets: ‘All you have to do is give them a chance.’

Tue, 06/16/2026 - 05:45
Are you a cat parent?

As a cat mom or daddy, you want to make sure all your kittens get a chance. Yes, even the runt. But that sometimes tends to only be a human cat parent trait… You see, in the wild, it is usually survival of the fittest. So if you are a cat mom trying to survive in the wild, then you aren't really going to give attention to the cat that is going to keep the rest of the litter back. However, cats don't have to be on in the wild. So that means us humans can rescue a runt and give them the best life ever! As TikToker @kaleihz2g says, "sometimes, all you have to do is give them a chance."

And a chance she gave, indeed! She recently rescued the runt of a litter who was struggling. She named her Marie, and she was covered in fleas, starving, and too tired to even play. This woman brought her into her home, and she is now thriving. But it's not just the human who helped this little kitten's glow up happen. This cat mama has a grown boy cat who was also rescued as a struggling kitten.

33 Feline-Filled Funny Memes for a Moment of Pawdorable Peace

Tue, 06/16/2026 - 03:15
Would you take a vacation day just so you could spend more time with your purrfect cats?

Even though we usually only like to take days off from work for some big events, like vacations abroad, holidays, or weddings, it is also important to take time off simply for your well-being. Sure, it might be tempting to hoard all your PTO so you could take a two-week vacation to Hawaii, but sometimes, a long weekend at home could be just as refreshing, and a lot less expensive.

There is nothing wrong with spending a whole day chilling at home with cute cats, catching up on shows you neglected, and eating junk food. You can wake up without the sound of your alarm clock, never leave your bed, nap every few hours, and no one can convince you that doing that is not much better than spending your day vacationing at the beach. Trust us, we should learn a few things from our furry furriends, including how to relax. Our felines don't care whether they are on a resort in the Caribbean or lying on a pile of clean laundry, as long as they get their sleep. If you really want to impress them, you can open a new snack, and they will be delighted, but even that is not a must. They truly know how to make the best of what they have, and that is inspiring, if you ask us.

If you follow our paw steps and decide to treat yourself to a cozy day off, we have a few recommendations. First and foremost, you need a furry friend that will snuggle up with you all day long; that is a must. Second, put your phone on silent mode, block your boss and coworkers, and forget the outside world even exists. Then, you can scroll down to enjoy this hissterical collection of cat memes, to put yourself in the correct cheerful mood for a truly delightful day off.

Sweet as Pie Cat Memes For a Dose of Deliciousness This Morning

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 16:00
A little bit of sugar never hurt anyone.

Everyone likes something sweet now and again. Even people who claim they don't like sweet things, desserts, or sugar, they all fall to the appeal of sweet cravings at some point. In a world that's hyper focused on health, aesthetics, and looking your best, a bit of shameless dessert time is crucial. In a world of Pilates girls and matcha, in gym time and skin care routines instead of going to the club, we need something a bit human, a bit hedonistic, and a bit sweet. Whether you're a carrot cake person, pecan pie, banana bread, chocolate chip cookies or vanilla ice cream type, there's a limitless opportunity to enjoy sweets in this world, and it's important to give in to those cravings once in a while.

Cat Memes are a part of that classification of sweetness. There's something deliciously sweet about cat memes. Maybe it's their furry faces and innocent eyes hiding their chaos. They give off the same feeling that eating pie gives us, like we're being comforted by something wholesome. Something about cat memes warms our bellies like a warm batch of cookies, or a warm pie fresh out of the oven that your grandmother made. Enjoy these sweet, cute, and innocent cat memes if you don't have the chance to eat something sweet and tasty this morning.

'He pays his rent by slaying spiders, flies and moths': Orange kitten found in a trash bin and is now king of the house with his furrever cat pawrent

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 15:15
Would you save an orange one brain cell from a trash bin?

The distant meows heard from a trash bin turned out to be this adorable orange kitten. In Reddit's r/CatDistributionSystem, this guy found his orange soulmate. He posted about it initially because he had no idea what to do with a stray kitten who needed help. 7 months later, the two are inseparable, and live together in cat-human harmony. It's important to be on the lookout for meows, fur, and cats no matter where you are. Enjoy this story and remember they're not known as one brain cell for nothing!

'He's now an indoor only cat who is living his best life': One year after showing up skinny and hungry, Smokey's transformation is incredible

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 14:30
Smokey showed up looking for food, but he ended up finding a family.

Cat lovers on Reddit's r/cats subreddit often talk about the cats that seem to choose their humans, and Smokey's story fits that description perfectly. About a year ago, a family opened their front door and found a young cat sitting casually on a deck chair. When they greeted him, he answered with a raspy meow that sounded like he'd been smoking for years. It was a small moment that ended up changing all of their lives.

At first, they assumed Smokey belonged to someone nearby. He was incredibly friendly from the start, but they didn't want to accidentally take in a cat that already had a home. As they spent more time with him, however, they noticed he was far too skinny. He was dirty, dehydrated, and covered in fleas. After getting some food and water, he wandered off, leaving them disappointed and wondering if they'd ever see him again.

The answer came later that night. When the family returned home, Smokey was waiting for them on the porch. The next day they took him to be scanned for a microchip, but none was found. Soon after, he was neutered, microchipped, and officially welcomed into the family.

Looking back, they believe Smokey may have been abandoned when someone moved out of a nearby apartment complex. Whatever his past was, life is very different now. The once-skinny stray who struggled with overgrooming has grown into a happy, healthy indoor cat. What started with a raspy meow on a deck chair turned into the kind of rescue story every cat lover hopes for.

30 Relatable Memes of Felines Feeling the Meownday Madness

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 12:00
Nobody wakes up on Monday and thinks, "I wish the weekend had ended sooner."

Monday has somehow earned the title of the most unpopular day of the week. After two glorious days of sleeping in, relaxing, and pretending responsibilities don't exist, Monday barges in demanding purrductivity before most people have even finished their first cup of coffee.

Cats seem to understand this better than anyone. If given the choice, most felines would spend Monday exactly the same way they spend every other day: curled up in a warm spot, avoiding unnecessary effort, and pretending not to hear anyone calling their name. It's a lifestyle many humans find particularly appealing around 7 a.m. on a Monday morning.

The real problem with Mondays is that they arrive far too quickly. Friday feels like it takes forever to show up, yet somehow the weekend disappears in the blink of an eye. One minute you're enjoying a lazy Sunday afternoon, and the next you're setting alarms, checking schedules, and wondering where all your free time went.

By Monday morning, even the smallest tasks can feel dramatic. Getting out of bed becomes an Olympic event. Answering emails feels like climbing a mountain. Existing before noon seems like an unreasonable request.

Fortunately, Mondays don't last forever. They may arrive with all the grace of a cat knocking a glass off the table, but eventually Tuesday shows up, everyone settles back into a routine, and life goes on. Until then, a little caffeine, a little patience, and a healthy sense of humor can go a long way.

'Paint me like one of your French girls': 40 Cats Purrfectly Posing for Accidental Renaissance Realpurrism

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 11:15
The Accidental Renaissance picture genre is so dramatic that it fits cats like a glove to a paw.

There's something extra striking about still moments in time that look like a master painting from the Renaissance era - they all embodied a revolutionary shift toward realism, humanism, and Greco-Roman classicism. Or in other words, art was full of the entire range of human emotions engulfed in a lot of dramatic lighting and tragic messaging. So, naturally, cats do it best. Drama and emotion, coupled with being purrfect models for the camera, is the combination that's right up our cats' alley.

Are we surprised cats do it better than any other potential Accidental Renaissance models? Not in the slightest. But does it mean that we're tired of seeing them striking these dramatic poses? Not at all. We want to see more and more of it. And that's exactly why we asked our darling cat community of the I Can Has Facebook page to show us their cats doing their best, most intentional Accidental Renaissance poses. Honestly, it feels like walking through a museum.

30 Floppy Flexible Felines Relaxing in Hissterical Pawsitions to Comfortingly Coerce You Back to Bed

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 10:30
Monday meowrnings are the purrfect time for cuddling your cats. Your alarm goes off, you groggily wake up and feel your cat's fluffy body curled up against yours. You hug them closer, and realize you can't find their head. After rubbing the cobwebs from your eyes, you see that they are relaxing in the shape of a twisty-bobcat-pretzel. If they can manage to be comfy like that, then we can stay in bed for a few minutes longer, right?

One of the most hissterical parts of being a cat owner is finding your cat sleeping (or even relaxing) in pawsitions that are not hoomanly pawssible to relax in. It's a running joke in the cat community that all of our cats come in both liquid and solid states, meaning that they can randomly become thick, normal objects to lift, or basically just a sack of bones and fluids. In their liquid state, we often say that they have noodles for bones because their bones seem to bend in any direction without any resistance. The only bad part is you don't get to choose when your cat is in its liquid or solid state, it's some sort of inner meowchanism that our hooman brains can't comprehend.

Because of the fluid state of our felines, we often find them looking like we didn't read the instructions properly when assembling them. More than that, they look like a hooman chiropractor's nightmare. Their spines are purrfectly flexible, with nearly double the number of vertebrae than we hoomans have. Even though it's relaxing for them, it can be slightly stressful for us. When you can't find your cat's head and can only see limbs, you can't help but think the worst for a few seconds.

There may be endless amounts of cat pictures on the internet, but these one below of flexible felines relaxing in hissterical pawsitions make us want to call our chiropractor, and then get back into bed. It's Monday meowrning, and we don't really need another excuse to stay in bed, but we'll take this one!

'Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou horizontal?': Stray orange cat interrupts Turkish purrformance of Romeo & Juliet, and steals the show

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 09:45
We always say the one thing that could make every purrformance better is a cat, but this ballet performance of Romeo & Juliet in Turkey actually got one.

Turkey has the most wonderful relationship with its country's cats. It's the ultimate destination for cat lovers (and for hair transplants, but that's a different story). The citizens there love and care for the stray cats, and there are even lots of laws protecting them. Community animals in Turkey cannot be captured or put down, they must be fed, sterilized, and then returned to their neighborhoods. They're a part of the citizens' lives, and it's not abnormal for them to randomly join into the hoomans' activities, but one stray orange cat decided that it was his turn in the limelight.

Whether by accident or on purrpose, the little orange stray found himself on stage during a ballet purrformance of Romeo & Juliet. The dancers, unphased, continued on with the purrformance as if nothing was there, which is not something we could do if a cat was trying to eat our hair while we were resting on stage.

Some argue that the brain cell-less kitty interrupted the purrformance, but we think he enhanced it. If you think about it, there were probably lots of stray cats during that time period, so it seems more historically accurate that a cat would wander up to a poisoned Romeo, and loaf on him while he was still warm.

One thing is fur sure, though, is that this cat stole the show. The video of his star purrformance is going viral on X right now thanks to @Yoda4ever 's post depicting the whole thing. Purrhaps this is the key to getting more people into ballet performances nowadays, simply add cats and see how the audience and dancers react. We might be on to something!

See all the discourse below about this surprise star on the rise, and how the internet is reacting to his purrfect performance!

Couple adopts tiny orange kitten they found dehydrated on a road in the scorching Texas heat, he bonds with them instantly, knowing they saved his life: 'he likely wouldn't have survived much longer on his own'

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 07:15
If you saw a tiny orange kitten dehydrated in the middle of the road on a hot summer day, what would you do?

Adopting a cat is rarely something that you actively decide on. Generally speaking, the cat comes to the human and not the other way around. And it can happen to you anywhere and anytime, including when you're just cruising along on the road in the middle of a completely ordinary day. If you were the one who came across this hurt kitten in the middle of the road, as you were just going on about your day, would you have stopped to help?

Going by the condition that the kitten was in when the couple rescued it, he had to have been a long time before anyone stopped. There was no way to miss that this kitten needed help. One look at her, and anyone would have known. We know that most people don't stop in situations like these, but really, that kitten didn't need most people. He needed that one couple who stopped - one couple who cared enough, who wanted to help. That was enough. We need to be thankful for the ones who stop. Because they not only change these kittens' lives, they save them.

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 06:30
Is there anything that you need more on a Monday morning than the most purrfect cat Tweets of the week?

Monday mornings are hard literally every time. There's no escaping it. Every time Monday rolls around, we are reminded, yet again, of how sucky it is. And so we try… We try every method that we can think of to make this morning slightly less awful. Of course, two alarm clocks don't help, coffee is too simple, and pretending that today is any day other than Monday never works. But one thing does. Starting our morning with a whole bunch of awwdorable and hilarious cats always helps, no matter the day.

And on ICHC, every single week, first thing on Monday morning, we make sure that you start your day in the best way that you can. We don't bring you just any cat content. No, we bring you the most viral cat Tweets of the week. The things you might have missed, and the things that you definitely did not want to miss. 22 Hissterical Cat Child Memes fur Feline Pawrents Who Can’t Catch a Break

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 05:45
Being a feline pawrent is not easy even at the best of times. But when your cat children are of the spicier variety, which is often the case, well then you as a pawrent simply cannot catch a break.

So we wanted to offer a helping hand with a handful of hilarious cat memes that will make you feel thankful that at the very least the cat in the image is not your own fur baby. And in the case that your cat child gets up to some of the clawminal behavior on show in this classic cat collection. Well, at least you'll know that you are not alone, and that there are other pawrents out there screaming and tearing their hair out in frustration.

So either way we invite you in for a chuckle or two and some much needed respite from the constant onslaught of caring for a cat. Seriously, why does the drama never end?

Feral kitten abandoned by cat mom found in poor condition hiding under car in body shop by employee who scooped it up and gave the fur baby an affectionate home with extended family, rescuer says: ‘He will always be warm with me and my family.’

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 04:00
A kitten who has been abandoned is one of the saddest things to come across in this life. But in the same breath also one of the happiest as it presents a golden opportunity to help a helpless soul in need. Which is exactly what this cat dad stepped up to do.

This story from Reddit's r/CatDistributionSystem subreddit is actually quite a unique one and happily it is for heartwarming reasons rather than sad ones. For while there is nothing out of the ordinary in cat rescue circles about finding a kitten alone in a workplace. There is a lot to be said for the amount of people who were willing to put their lives on hold to make sure that this neglected kitten would make a full recovery and lead a life full of love and treats.

Not only was this cat's rescuer and his family more than happy to step up to the plate, and with two cat children of their own that is no mean feat. but also our rescuers' parents-in-law raised their hands and threw their hats into the ring. All of them prepawed to put their sleep and sanity on the line to help out a sweet soul in need

Watch: Woman adopts senior cat that lived in the shelter for two years, has the most heartwarming response after finally coming home

Sun, 06/14/2026 - 16:00
Senior cats deserve a home, too.

We get it, everyone wants a kitten. They're tiny, they're floofy, they're playful, and purrfectly adorable. Kittens are great. But, they also make a mess of your house, keep you up all night for at least a few months, and can be a handful, to say the least. Not every home environment is suitable for kittens, also. Do you travel a lot? Work long hours? Like to make spontaneous plans? If so, then a kitten isn't for you. But what do you do if you still want a cute kitty to cuddle with?

There's one simple answer: adopt a senior cat. Senior cats can be alone for long periods of time, are often quite independent, but still love your companionship. Most of the time, they just want to eat in peace, sleep, and give you love. They are more grateful than kittens, who are still learning about the world and will never really understand the difference between the shelter and your home. Senior cats, however, will thank you every day for taking them out of the scary, crowded shelter, into your quiet and loving home. That's never more apparent than in @seniorcatmk's Instagram post.

She adopted a senior cat who had been living in the shelter for two years, struggling through every day, just hoping someone would see him and choose him. As soon as he gets into her home, he hugs her so tight and won't let go. He buries his face into her, just so thankful to be someone's favorite. It's enough to bring tears to your eyes, and warm up even the coldest hearts. If you're looking for something to make you cry happy tears, you've found it. Sorry, not sorry.

A Silly Sunday Snafoo of Feline Funnies That Are Literally Me

Sun, 06/14/2026 - 15:15
Are there any memes out there that are more relatable than cat memes?

When people ask us what our job is, we simply say "cat memes". Technically, we're in the "internet culture" industry, but because we eat, sleep, and breathe cat memes, that's the easiest answer. As cat lovers and meme gurus, we have a whole theory why cat memes are the best thing the internet has ever created. Don't worry, we're about to tell you.

Cats are the ultimate vehicle for memes. They can be fluffy and cute, or spicy and chaotic - everything just feels natural to them. Think about what you think the inside of a cat's head would sound like, if they could think like a hooman. Cynical, sharp, and pawsitively nonchalant, which is a purrfect combination for something purrrely hissterical. And then, pair their purrfect silliness with a hilarious hooman situation, you get a meowgical post that feels relatable to everyone and easy to digest.

Now, some cat memes are more relatable than others. Some are meant to be pawsitively ridiculous, but some really get you right in your feels. And that's what we've gathered for you below.

From one of our furrvorite X accounts, @LiterallyMeCats, we present to you some of the most relatable-st feline funnies on this side of the internet. These kitties also don't want to go to work, struggle to get through the month of June (and every month, for that matter), and also wonder how many grams of protein are in things, like cuddling your cats, or a kiss from your purrtner.

Basically, they're all made to purrfectly suit you, and hopefully, make you furget about the current state of the world. Let's not take life too seriously, after all, the internet is run by cats.

30 Meowlodramatic Memes of Drama Queen Cats Throwing Tiny Tantrums

Sun, 06/14/2026 - 14:30
Living with a cat means witnessing several completely unnecessary overreactions every day.

Cats have a gift for making small problems seem absolutely enormous. A food bowl that's slightly less full than it was five minutes ago becomes a pressing issue. A closed bathroom door is treated like a personal betrayal. A blanket being adjusted beneath them is enough to trigger a look of complete disbelief.

Some cats are masters of dramatic timing. They'll stare at you from across the room as if you've wronged them in some deeply personal way. Others prefer to voice their complaints at maximum volume, usually at three in the morning or the exact moment you're trying to concentrate on something.

Then there are the over-the-top reactions. A harmless noise in another room sends them flying across the house. A toy gets stuck under the couch and suddenly they're starring in a tragedy. A tiny inconvenience is all it takes for a feline to unleash a performance worthy of a standing ovation.

Of course, cat drama rarely lasts long. The same cat who spent ten minutes protesting a delayed dinner will be fast asleep moments later, stretched across the couch without a single concern in the world. It's all part of the charm. Cats don't just experience life. They experience it with maximum emotion, maximum confidence, and just a touch of theatrical flair.

'Just upgraded from mom of 1 to mom of 3': Rescuer finds two month-old kittens abandoned by the road and couldn't leave them behind

Sun, 06/14/2026 - 12:00
All it takes is one person willing to stop and care to completely change a kitten's future.

Cat lovers on Reddit's r/CatDistributionSystem subreddit often joke about being "chosen" by a cat, but Willow and Kit's story started in a much more troubling way. The two kittens, estimated to be around a month old, were found abandoned in a box on the side of the road. On their own, they likely wouldn't have stood much of a chance. Fortunately, someone spotted them before it was too late.

At the time, the kittens were tiny. They were barely old enough to be away from their mother and still had that unmistakable kitten look that makes them seem impossibly small. Their rescuer hadn't planned on bringing home two kittens that day, but some decisions make themselves. A quick trip home was followed by an even quicker run to pick up supplies.

The next stop was the vet. Given the circumstances, it would have been easy to expect bad news. Instead, the vet delivered the best possible outcome. Both kittens were healthy.

Fast forward to today, and it's hard to believe these are the same kittens. Willow and Kit have traded a cardboard box for a safe home, regular meals, and a family that adores them. They're thriving, growing, and settling into the spoiled indoor-cat lifestyle remarkably well.

Stories like this are a reminder that sometimes a single decision can change an animal's entire future. Willow and Kit may have had a rough start, but they ended up exactly where they were meant to be.

25 Cutest Cat Adoption Stories from National Cat Adoption Month to Sprinkle Pawsitivity Onto Your Timeline

Sun, 06/14/2026 - 11:15
The one thing on the internet that gives us more hope for humanity than anything else are all the purrfect cat adoption stories.

Listen, we know that the internet has been a rough place lately. Whether the things you see are awesome or terrible is a coin toss. But one thing that has been true about the internet since the dawn of it and will continue to be true until its final electronic breath is that cats… rule the internet. It does not matter whatsoever what is happening in the world - people will always make cat content go viral

We're talking about funny cat memes and cute cat pictures, of course, but not just that. It's not only the online content that thrives. It is real-life cat communities as well. However dark things may be, people are always continuing to rescue and adopt cats. This is something that we especially want to highlight this June, for National Cat Adoption month! And it's the one thing that consistently gives us hope for humanity. Not everyone will stop for an animal in need, but enough people do. Enough to give us that hope and to fill whole lists full of adoption stories. The ones we've put together here are just from the past month, and they are the ones that caught our attention the most, not all of them, not by a long shot.

26 Gentle Cat Memes to Cushion the Chaos of a Long Week

Sun, 06/14/2026 - 10:30
Is there any better way to decompress than letting cat memes knead the stress right out of you?

It has been one long week, hasn't it? We think it has. But then again, we feel like we have been saying this about every week for the past six years at least. The world has been weird like that. The internet has been weird. The things that we love seeing the most online - basically just cute and funny cat pictures everywhere - have been drowned out by clickbate and ragebait. And we're not into that. In fact, here at ICHC, we have made it our mission to fix that.

We're trying to make ICHC the one place on the internet that you know you can go to anytime and find the things that you actually want to see. Things that will comfort you and make you smile. We're talking about the cutest cat pictures, the silliest stories about cats, and, of course, the one thing that can always put a smile on our face - some purrfect cat memes. No longer do you have to wade through the wasteland that is the internet to find these things. You just come right here and let all this good cat stuff wash over you.
