10+ Neighbors who never returned expensive items

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 14:00
Don't lend anything to your neighbors if you're not prepared to lose it forever.

It's a lesson that most of us learn the hard way. After all, we want to assume that our neighbors are good people. A lot of us get along with our neighbors pretty well. So when the guy next door asks to borrow your lawn mower, you agree — what's the worst that could happen?

Well, some people get kind of weird about returning borrowed items. They'll keep putting off giving it back to you, which just makes you even more suspicious of them. Or they accidentally damage it, which makes them really reticent to return it to you. Instead, they might just pepper you with excuses, hoping you'll eventually forget.

Boss criticizes 29-year-old employee's email "tone": 'At first I honestly thought he was joking'

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 07:00
A lot can get misconstrued when you're talking over messages instead of having a conversation face-to-face.

It's probably happened to you at some point, whether in the workplace, the friend group chat, or while texting with Grandma. Something gets misconstrued, and a miscommunication is formed, leading to an argument. It's really hard to convey feelings over messages. For example, if you're on the older side, you might use the thumbs-up emoji in response to a message, because it saves you time, and you think it's just a simple "okay, great," response. But young people, like Zoomers, are ofttimes stunned to see that in response to a paragraph they wrote. To them, it comes off as super impolite that you'd just read their response and emoji-respond instead of writing something back. There were no ill intentions, and yet, it can make matters complicated.

Thu, 03/12/2026 - 16:00
Even decades after they first aired, The Simpsons somehow keeps feeling painfully (and hilariously) relevant. Since its debut in 1989, the show has built a reputation for roasting everyday life: family drama, workplace misery, politics, and society's weird little habits, through sharp satire and unforgettable characters.

That's exactly why Simpsons memes hit so hard: a single frame of Homer backing into a hedge or Lisa silently judging the room can perfectly sum up modern problems, awkward moments, and existential Monday moods. These 22 memes prove that no matter how much the world changes, Springfield somehow already made fun of it first.

This 21-year-old thinks he's hilarious, but after his latest stunt, his sister isn't laughing.

The thing with pranks is that they're usually funny to the prankster, not the person the joke is aimed at. The prankster gets great content out of the bit, they get a laugh, and everyone else in the area gets to giggle at the expense of the person getting pranked. So what does that person getting pranked get out of the experience? Honestly, usually they just get embarrassed, or have their belongings destroyed, and for what? So someone else can make a video about it? That's just unkindness disguised as comedy — it's usually not even original or creative content! — , and many of us don't find that funny enough to laugh at.
