LOL Cats
Neighbor's cat wonders around to a person's home, spends the night, and raises questions about letting house cats roam the streets: 'He refuses to leave.'
If this question is applicable to a cat, you know they roam the neighborhood like they own it, as if they run it with an iron paw. Some people are sure their cat is their cat, until they find out the family's feline was two-timing them all along. But even a cat has double the family, usually their original humans know what's up, they're aware of their cat's doings, and it's ok that they're ok with it. But some people just let their cat roam, and that we, admittedly, don't really understand. It can lead to some complicated situations, such as a cat stuck outside in the snow, which is a literal hazard. There might always be kind neighbors to take these cats in, but what if there aren't enough nice people around? What if there are other dangers outside, that even the kinderst of people can't help prevent?
All of these questions popped into our heads when we read about Salem, the roaming void cat whose owners don't seem to look for during an entire night. He was taken care of, for sure (and we're happy he had a safe and warm night), but really, it begs the question - whose cat is it, anyway?
Quiet cat owner gets the last laugh when downstairs neighbor calls the cops for pets walking "too loudly", cops show up and laugh in her face: 'I wonder how hard they're trashing that person'
You might think that cats are quiet, graceful creatures. And some of them are, but some walk about as loudly as a stampede of elephants. We have no idea why, but they will quite literally stomp while walking. But even when they purroudly put their tiny legs down in a deliberate fashion, it doesn't make that much noise. There's only so much force that can be generated by a 5-inch leg and about 12 pounds of force.
People have a right to want their neighbors to be quiet, but there has to be a good reason for a noise complaint as well. Like we said earlier, a party past midnight definitely counts, but cats walking "too loudly" certainly does not. The downstairs neighbor even went so far as to call the police on her "noisy" neighbor's felines, and when they arrived, they laughed and went home. The cops may have giggled as well, but we're pretty sure the pawrent got the purrfect last laugh.
20 Original Feline Funnies Featuring Cats So Stoopid We Furgot to Laugh
Cats are often purrtrayed as feminine, but really, they're all just middle-aged dads at heart. They have a disdain for trying new things, love their routine, enjoy nothing more than a good nap in a comfy chair, and they both love to pretend that they don't like affection. But most of all, they love to tell a stoopid joke. A joke that's so bad you laugh out of pity, a joke that's so bad you want to wipe it from your meowmory with disinfectant. They're so bad that you can't help but laugh at them, that they've rounded the corner from bad to good by being so purrfectly idiotic. We know because cats have been using terrible puns in their memes since the beginning of meme history, and also because our cat always laughs at our dad jokes.
So, the meme wizards here at I Can Has Cheezburger whipped up some original feline funnies this week that are just awful. Terrible. Horrific. But they're also so bad that you can't look away from them, you have to keep scrolling out of a pawsitively silly desire to know if they're really as bad as the one before. They're purrfect for cat owners because they're made by feline fanatics who love cats almost as much as we do.
We're sorry, but also not sorry, for sharing these with you. It's Furiday, so we thought you could use a hearty laugh, and this is the best we could do on such short notice. See you next week!
'This 45 minute meeting was like, 80% about my cats': HR calls employee in for emergency meeting to discuss how she's not allowed to mention that she has cats to co-workers
Look, we don't know, maybe it's just in our office - our very cat-centric office - that it is highly accepted to talk about cats all the time. But we don't think so. We think that people talking about their cats, people showing off cute pictures of cats, people sending each other funny memes of cats througout the day, it's not only normal, it's actually good for the overall morale of the office. Because cats are just… pawsome. Even people who don't have cats or who are not as obsessed with cats as we are are happy to talk about them and see pictures of them.
In our humble opinion, people should tell funny anecdotes about cats, show pictures and videos of them, and talk about them in general much, much more often. Office included. To think that the person in this story got reprimanded for even less than that - for just telling one of their coworkers that they have cats is absolutely ridiculous. Especially considering the fact that the person who is doing the reprimanding has two giant portraits of their own dogs in their office right behind them.
12-year-old cat never sat on his owner’s lap until his girlfriend moved in and immediately claimed her lap, leaving the owner in disbelief: 'I was so happy they have their own special relationship'
And that's important. It's actually necessary. Because if your cat doesn't approve of your partner, that is something that you should listen to. Cats know good people, and if they don't like someone, it usually happens for a reason. The way that people interact with cats is a huge sign. There are people who are are jealous of their partner's love for their cat. There are people who humiliate their partners for missing their cats when they run away. And then there are people who, behind their partner's backs, do everything that they can to bond with their partner's cats. And the cat then shows its appreciation and approval.
It can go in either direction, but if a cat approves, you will know it. And the cat in today's story made sure that his owner knew that he approved of the girlfriend very, very quickly. For 12 whole years, this cat refused to sit in his owner's lap. Despite their bond, despite the fact that his owner wanted it very much. But the second his owner's girlfriend moved into their home, the kitty - just like that - decided that his new favorite spot for cuddles was her lap. And the owner's response… adorable.

21 Cats vs Shoes Memes to Start Your Day on the Right Paw
It's not easy being purrfect, but somebody has to do it. And that would be, every single cat ever, because they are all purrfect little sweet demons. Who, by the way, can wear fresh kicks like nobody else! Do they actually like to wear them or even know what they are doing with shoes? Probably not, but whatever. They're correct. 21 Pawdorable Pictures of Swirly Cinnamon Roll Cats Perfect for a Coffee Break Scroll
Some cats don't nap. They bake. The second they tuck their paws in and wrap their tails around their noses, they turn into purrfect little cinnamon rolls sitting fresh out of an imaginary oven. Their fur twists into soft spirals, ears disappear, and suddenly there's just a round, fluffy pastry breathing slowly on the couch. If someone told you it smelled like sugar in the room, it wouldn't feel impossible.
When a cat curls up like this, the whole space gets quieter. Everything slows to match their tiny, steady breaths. The outside world can keep doing whatever it's doing, but the cinnamon roll remains committed to rest. It's a full-body decision. Paws gone. Face tucked. Roll sealed. They look warm enough to toast your hands on.
Watching them stay that perfectly round feels like being let in on a secret skill humans never mastered. Cats know how to shut down properly. No half-naps. No checking notifications. Just pure, uninterrupted loafing in pastry form.
Enjoy these adorable moments while sipping a warm cup of coffee and letting the morning stretch out a little longer. A cinnamon-roll cat snoozing nearby turns an ordinary day into a slow one, the kind built for blankets, quiet light, and absolutely no rush to be anywhere else.
'She has come a long way from being the bush kitten': A tiny rescue kitten delivered by the cat distribution system transforms into a happy house panther
On the hottest day of the year, a tiny kitten was crying from inside a bush outside a workplace and absolutely refusing to be ignored. A neighbor complained about the noise. Security came to check. Security happened to be a mom who took one look at the situation and decided that kitten was not staying there. A quick phone call to her daughter followed. she someone want a kitten? A yes came instantly. Within hours, the little bush baby was on the way to the vet and on the way home.
She weighed under a pound and barely looked real, more like a handful of fur than a full cat. At roughly four weeks old she needed bottle feedings around the clock. Her first bed was a lizard bed because nothing else fit. The name Munchkin stuck at first, not just for her size but because she looked like a tiny mixed box of candy. Later she became Piper, or Pip, once she was big enough to confirm she was a girl.
Now Pip is eleven pounds of pure house cat confidence. She curls around feet like a personal heater and chases laser dots with serious dedication. Before drinking water she crosses her paws neatly, like she's following a ritual only she understands. She even outgrew the elder cat in the house. The bush kitten who screamed for help is gone. In her place is a spoiled, happy cat who knows exactly where she belongs.

He knew she had a cat, and she knew he had a cat allergy, but they chose to move in together anyway. Read the full story below for all the details.
A Calming Cascade of 22 Cutie Cat Memes to Soothe Your Soul
Cats breathe a sense of structure and safety into our lives. It's soothing to be next to an animal, feel its breathing, hear its inhales and exhales as you breathe together and form a bond. There's something soothing about cats in their essence. They can be calm, quiet, collected. You approach them and hear that delightful low-purr humming as you pet them in their sleepy state. Though they're not always like this, they still instill a sense of calm and quiet into us. Their love is undeniable, and their essence breathes life into us. In Aristotle's On the Soul (De Anima), the soul is thought to be the essence of a person. It's not their physical, material body that gives them form, but through the soul. It's not a substance that exists independently of the body, but gives the body function and structure.
There's a distinction between a plant soul, an animal soul, and a human soul, according to him. Plant souls are nutritive souls responsible for growth. Animals are both nutritive souls and sensitive souls, allowing them to experience perception, desire, and movement. And a human soul is what he calls a rational soul – the ability to think, reason, and reflect. It's a philosophical explanation of the hierarchy of ecosystems.
Though Aristotle thinks the human soul and the cat soul have a differentiation, the we can still have a strong soul bond with our pets. Scroll these calming cat memes for some pawdorable sleepy vibes that swing your soul together with your feline love.

Feline escape artist hides under house, making mom think she ran away after hours of searching and crying, cat comes out covered in cobwebs to wipe on mom and says: ‘I was following my destiny as a feline and boldly going where no cat had gone before’
You know how there are those funny signs with warnings that obviously come from a unique incident carried out by some sort of unique idiot? Well, this story is the feline equivalent of that. A tale of a cat who decides to play hide and seek with the sole intention of getting under his cat mom's skin by hiding under the house. A pitiful prank that almost resulted in the pawrent risking life and limb to check if the idiot cat had gotten stuck on the roof.
Now sure you might be right in thinking that such a story sounds familiar, and there is one that does compare - the boy who cried wolf. And while it is true that this cat child will not be believed the next time that something like this happens, in the original story there is nothing about the boy rubbing it in the town's people's faces that there was no wolf…
24 Coo-Coo Cat Memes Serving Sillies, Clawmedy, and Maximum Meow Energy
But what does it really mean? Well, we're here to explain in meowing details. Don't worry, fellow feline fanatics, you're in good hands. Hands that have gone through every piece of cat content the internet has to offer to this date. We're about to let you in on a cautiously kept secret: meowing that energy up for the day is easy when you have feline funnies at your side. When you scroll through cat memes, that cat energy sips right into you, like a soft meow when your cat companion is making biscuits on your chest.
But really, now, what is meowing up the energy for the day? It's all about walking around with cat confidence, it's about letting yourself recharge with cat comfort and coziness, it's all about laughing like a cat meowing for no reason at all in the middle of the night like you must hear the song of their people right at that moment. Meowing up that energy means to make it like a cat - with purride, pawreciousness, and a whole lot of hissterical humor. That's the cat way, that's the way to meow up that energy, like every person probably needs today.
After her 19-year-old cat crossed the rainbow bridge she told him "I'd take a cat if you send me one". The sign she was waiting for appeared as a feral kitten, waiting outside her house for hours.
We're constantly told that the Cat Distribution System sends the cats in need to the right human, the one who will give them all the love they deserve and all the protection they need. In some cases, though, the situation is reversed, but with the same wholesome result - a human might be in need of a cat. Cats love their humans, and some people simply need a little more floofy friendship in their lives. In this case, the CDS sends a can in need to a person who's also in need. But what we learn from this one cat pawrent below is that the CDS takes requests.
Just requesting a cat doesn't usually work. But apparently, there's a certain condition in which a person's wish for a cat can come true in a very short amount of time. That is, if you ask it from your soul cat who has passed over the rainbow bridge to the other side. A woman who raised a cat for 19 years(!) made just one wish - bring me another cat, if you will, I will take him in. And so, her new cat came to be.
25 Purrfect Pictures of Funny Four-Sided Felines Trapped in Hilarious Boxes and Other Devious Devices
In a world that's constantly focused on moving forward and improving, it's nice to know that some things stay constant. Like the fact that the Earth revolves around the sun, gravity will always stop us from randomly jumping into outer space, and that cats will always love sitting in boxes and other devious devices. This one specific type of cat picture is our anchor of stability in this fast-paced world, something that doesn't have to change because it's already purrfect. Whether they are big boxes or small ones, square ones or round plastic containers, dishwashers or trash cans, cats will sits in them if they fits in them.
Scroll all the way to the end to find a silly surprise. One of these things is not quite like the others…
Professional pianist couple adopts cat who joins them every time they sit down to practice, even demanding purrfect performances to fall asleep: 'He gets angry when we play the wrong note'
Cats never cease to ameowze us. Just when you think you've seen it all, from floofy fluffballs that look like living feather dusters to mama cats working at hardware stores, they go and do something out of left field you never saw coming. Purrhaps they're evolving, or maybe this cat in our story really just found his purrfect family to satisfy his unique and pawsitively melodic tastes.
Animals have been known to enjoy the occasional reggae song or relax to a Bach concerto, but this kitty takes it to a whole new level. His pawrents are purrfessional pianists, and he loves their playing so much that he will literally sleep on the piano while his pawrents play. You'll see below how he sleeps with his stuffed rat in between his paws, mouth open, safely in honk-shoo land while both his pawrents pound on the keys, purracticing for their upcoming show. We've truly never seen anything like it.
They describe something hissterical as well, they say that "he will get angry if we play the wrong note", which means that he must recognize the pieces to some extent. That's honestly incredible. We can barely remember what we had for breakfast, and this kitty can remember classic concertos.
We never once assumed that cats were simple creatures, but this video just confirms that there's more to these fluffy felines than meets the hooman eye. And, as cute as this is, we have to wonder, will they have to play him a lullaby to fall asleep every night? So much for cats being low maintenance!
Lifelong friend keeps claiming cat owner is mistreating their feline because she keeps the cat indoors only, keeps secretly trynig to let the cat out "to play", leading to a huge blow-up: '[She] and I are no longer friends'
Personally, we support keeping cats indoors as much as possible. But we do see the other side of it. The cats that we have, we have all had from very young ages. It was early enough to change their habits so that staying only indoors wouldn't feel unnatural to them. But we can imagine that with other cats, it would be somewhat different. We can see how a stray rescued cat might have a problem with being locked indoors all the time. We can see how a cat that has been an outdoor cat their whole life might not take quite so easily to having it taken away from them.
We get that deciding to make an outdoor can an indoor one would be a difficult decision, and sometimes an impossible one. Everyone will have to do what is best for their individual cat, in their specific circumstances, preferably while consulting a vet. It's not an easy decision to make, we know. But you know what is? When your friend tells you that their cat is an indoor one, do not attempt to let the cat out without their permission because of the side that you take in this debate.
